LIVING FOR THE GOSPEL CAUSE – GOD IS FAITHFUL: HIS PROMISES STANDS ASSURED IN HIS PURPOSE!
- IN GENERAL:
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the CALLED according to his PURPOSE. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified” Romans 8:28-30.
“God is FAITHFUL, by whom ye were CALLED unto the FELLOWSHIP of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” 1 Corinthians 1:9.
“Let us HOLD FAST the PROFESSION of our FAITH without wavering; for he is FAITHFUL that promised” Hebrews 10:23.
- IN CHRIST JESUS:
“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this PURPOSE the Son of God was MANIFESTED, that he might destroy the works of the devil“ 1 John 3:8.
“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this CAUSE came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice” John 18:37.
- FOR ME AS IN APOSTLE PAUL:
“Beside those things that are without, that which COMETH upon me DAILY, the CARE of all the churches” 2 Corinthians 11:28.
“Yea, so have I STRIVED to PREACH the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon ANOTHER man’s FOUNDATION” Romans 15:20.
“GO, STAND and SPEAK in the temple to the people ALL the WORDS of this LIFE” Acts 5:20
“And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 5 not that we are SUFFICIENT of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our SUFFICIENCY is of God; 6 who also hath MADE us able MINISTERS of the NEW TESTAMENT; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life” 2 Corinthians 3:4-6.
“For God, who COMMANDED the light to shine out of darkness, hath SHINED in our hearts, to give the light of the KNOWLEDGE of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” 2 Corinthians 4:6.
SUMMARY
The message is: LIVING FOR THE GOSPEL CAUSE – GOD IS FAITHFUL: HIS PROMISES STAND ASSURED IN HIS PURPOSE!
- IN GENERAL
Romans 8:28-30, 1 Corinthians 1:9, Hebrews 10:23
According to Scripture:
Romans 8:28-30 – “And we know that ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD to them that LOVE GOD, to them who are THE CALLED according to His PURPOSE.”
God’s eternal process: Foreknown → Predestinated → Called → Justified → Glorified. We are being conformed to the image of His Son.
1 Corinthians 1:9 – “GOD IS FAITHFUL, by whom ye were CALLED unto the FELLOWSHIP of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Hebrews 10:23 – “Let us HOLD FAST the PROFESSION of our FAITH without wavering; for He is FAITHFUL that promised.”
Point: Our foundation is God’s FAITHFULNESS. Because He called us according to His PURPOSE, we can trust Him and stand firm.

1 John 3:8, John 18:37
According to Scripture:
1 John 3:8 – “For this PURPOSE the Son of God was MANIFESTED, that He might DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL.”
John 18:37 – “To this END was I born, and for this CAUSE came I into the world, that I should BEAR WITNESS UNTO THE TRUTH.”
Point: The entire GOSPEL CAUSE is centred in Christ. His mission was Purpose, Truth, and Deliverance. We live for that same CAUSE.

2 Corinthians 11:28, Romans 15:20, Acts 5:20, 2 Corinthians 3:4-6, 2 Corinthians 4:6
According to Scripture:
2 Corinthians 11:28 – “…that which COMETH upon me DAILY, the CARE of all the churches.”
Romans 15:20 – “Yea, so have I STRIVED to PREACH the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon ANOTHER man’s FOUNDATION.”
Acts 5:20 – “GO, STAND and SPEAK in the temple to the people ALL THE WORDS of THIS LIFE.”
2 Corinthians 3:4-6 – “…our SUFFICIENCY is OF GOD; who also hath MADE us able MINISTERS of the NEW TESTAMENT; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”
2 Corinthians 4:6 – “For GOD… hath SHINED in our hearts, to give the light of the KNOWLEDGE of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
Point: The minister’s burden is like Paul’s. We carry the care, we strive to preach, we GO and SPEAK the full Word, and we do it by God’s SUFFICIENCY and the SPIRIT that gives LIFE — not by the letter.
CORE CHARGE:
LIVE FOR THE GOSPEL CAUSE.
IN GENERAL: Trust God’s FAITHFULNESS and PURPOSE.
IN CHRIST JESUS: Advance His PURPOSE and CAUSE.
FOR ME AS IN APOSTLE PAUL: GO, STAND, SPEAK, and MINISTER as an able minister of the New Testament.
