HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

“HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS”: FOR GOD IS FAITHFUL IN HIS FAITHFULNESS – IT IS HIS BEING AND HIS NATURE! 

“I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy FAITHFULNESS to all generations. 2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy FAITHFULNESS shalt thou establish in the very heavens. 3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, 4 thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. 5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy FAITHFULNESS also in the congregation of the saints . . .” Psalms 89:1-52. 

One thing is certain in life and grace, that is – LIKE BEGATS LIKE. A tree doesn’t give birth to an animal or mammal. A Lion doesn’t give birth to a Leopard or Tiger. Nor does a goat give birth to a sheep or ram, even with their proximity in likeness or characteristics. And if anyone wants to be godlike – as the Scriptures enjoin – one needs to “HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS”, for as He is, so are we in this world as written: 

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have BOLDNESS in the day of judgment: BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. 18 There is no FEAR in love; but PERFECT love CASTETH out fear: because fear hath torment. He that FEARETH is not made PERFECT in love” 1 John 4:17-18. 

One needs to know full well that WE ARE the OFFSPRING OF GOD, the SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE according to the Holy Scriptures – [(Acts 17:24-29; Psalms 100:3; 1 John 4:17-18); (John 10:34-35; Psalms 82:6; Genesis 3:5)]. It then means that we CAN live a FAITHFUL life and achieve GOOD SUCCESS with God when we dare to “HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS” for us in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“O Lord, thou art my God; I will EXALT thee, I will PRAISE thy name; for thou hast done WONDERFUL things; thy COUNSELS of old are FAITHFULNESS and TRUTH” Isaiah 25:1. 

The other reason we can achieve SUCCESS is because we are the SEED OF ABRAHAM – who was FAITHFUL to ‘HAVE IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS’ and therein prospered when he dared. The same enabling GRACE to be FAITHFUL to ‘HAVE IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS’ is available to us today when we dare. And it is irrespective of any of our challenges toward being FAITHFUL and to then PROSPER in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. [2 Peter 1:2-4; Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29. (See Genesis 13:2; 24:1)]. 

Our God is the FAITHFUL GOD – that is His NATURE and His BEING. He is the God of FAITHFULNESS – He lives within Himself – it is His NATURE and His BEING. And as such, in achieving life’s goals with God in Christ Jesus’ stead, it would be great for you to have FAITH in the  NATURE G.U. OF GOD, regarding FAITHFULNESS as found of Him in the Holy writ: 

  1. God is FAITHFUL to Himself in FAITHFULNESS. 2 Timothy 2:13. 
  2. God is FAITHFUL to His Word and promises in His FAITHFULNESS. Hebrews 10:23. 
  3. God is FAITHFUL to His covenant relationship in His FAITHFULNESS. 1 Corinthians 1:9; Hebrews 8:28-30. 
  4. God is FAITHFUL to forgive in His FAITHFULNESS. 1 John 1:9 (5-10). 
  5. God is FAITHFUL in covenant agreement in His FAITHFULNESS. Deuteronomy 7:9. 
  6. God is FAITHFUL to establish and deliver in His FAITHFULNESS. 1 Corinthians 10:13, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. 
  7. God is FAITHFUL to accomplish His part in the assignment that He gives to us in His FAITHFULNESS. 1 Thessalonians 5:24. 
  8. God is the and a FAITHFUL creator in His FAITHFULNESS. 1 Peter 4:19.

Considering the above-mentioned NATURE OF GOD in being FAITHFUL, you can BANK ON HIS FAITHFULNESS in His GRACE and BLESSEDNESS concerning all things about LIFE and GODLINESS. This will give you the enabling LEVERAGE to abound the more in SHARING and PARTAKING of His promises in the REDEMPTION DEED, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

“And Jesus saith unto them, HAVE FAITH IN GOD” Mark 11:22. 

“God is FAITHFUL, by whom ye were CALLED unto the FELLOWSHIP of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord” 1 Corinthians 1:9. 

“Let us HOLD FAST the PROFESSION [DECLARATION, CONFESSION, PROCLAMATION, ANNOUNCEMENT] of our FAITH without wavering; for He is FAITHFUL that PROMISED” Hebrews 10:23/Emphasis Mine.

SUMMARY 

The message is:  “HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS” 
God’s very NATURE and BEING is FAITHFULNESS. Because He is FAITHFUL, we who are His OFFSPRING, SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE, and SEED OF ABRAHAM can BANK ON HIM to live a FAITHFUL life, achieve GOOD SUCCESS, and PARTAKE of every promise in the REDEMPTION DEED in Christ Jesus’ stead.

  1. GOD’S NATURE IS FAITHFULNESS

    God is FAITHFUL to Himself, to His Word, to His Covenant, to forgive, to establish, to deliver, to assignments, and as our FAITHFUL Creator. FAITHFULNESS is who He is.

    A tree cannot birth an animal. Because we are OFFSPRING OF GOD and SEED OF ABRAHAM, we are wired to walk in FAITHFULNESS as He is. “AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD.”

    We are the OFFSPRING OF GOD and the SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE. We are CALLED into FELLOWSHIP with His Son. This identity means we can live above fear and walk in BOLDNESS. 
  4. THE GRACE TO BE FAITHFUL IS AVAILABLE NOW 
    2 Peter 1:2-4; Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29; Genesis 13:2; 24:1 
    Just as Abraham prospered by HAVING FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS, the same enabling GRACE is available to us today irrespective of challenges. God’s DIVINE POWER has given us ALL THINGS that pertain to LIFE and GODLINESS. 
  5. THE RESULT: SUCCESS, ABOUNDING, AND PARTAKING 
    Hebrews 10:23; 1 Thessalonians 5:24; Philippians 1:6 
    When we BANK ON HIS FAITHFULNESS, we get the LEVERAGE to ABOUND, to SHARE, and to PARTAKE of His EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES. He who began a good work in you WILL PERFORM IT. 

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. DARE TO “HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS”
    Stop walking by the senses. Mark 11:22 — “HAVE FAITH IN GOD.” Anchor your heart, decisions, and confession on His NATURE not your circumstances.
  2. HOLD FAST YOUR PROFESSION
    Hebrews 10:23 — Declare it with your mouth. Sing it. Proclaim it to all generations: “GOD IS FAITHFUL!” Psalm 89:1
  3. WALK IN YOUR IDENTITY
    You are GOD’S OFFSPRING and ABRAHAM’S SEED. Reject fear. Walk in BOLDNESS and PERFECT LOVE because AS HE IS, SO ARE WE. 1 John 4:17-18
  4. BE DILIGENT AND NOT SLOTHFUL
    Hebrews 6:10-12 — Show the same diligence to the FULL ASSURANCE OF HOPE. God is not unrighteous to forget your WORK and LABOUR OF LOVE.

ENACTING THE COMMISSION – “OCCUPY TILL I COME”! 

“And he called his TEN servants, and DELIVERED them TEN pounds, and said unto them, OCCUPY TILL I COME” Luke 19:13. 

“So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘DO BUSINESS TILL I COME” Like 19:13/NKJV. 

The Month of October indicates BLESSEDNESS. And by the knowledge and understanding of the context, it is my earnest PRAYER that you resolve to take a STEP OF FAITH in GRACE to ENACT the Month of October – “OCCUPY TILL I COME” – in order to fulfil the COMMISSION MANDATE to us all. Thereby, being EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

The Month of OCTOBER is the TENTH month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars, and it is the sixth of seven months to have a length of 31 days. Month October was originally the eighth month of the Roman calendar. It comes from the Latin word “OCTO” meaning eight. Later, it became the 10th month when January and February were added to the Calendar. And spiritually, the number “eight” is said to be a symbol of NEW BEGINNING signifying WEALTH, PROSPERITY, PEACE and FERTILITY. October is normally the time of the year when farmers HARVEST their crops.  

In the Northern Hemisphere October is usually considered the second month of AUTUMN. In parts of the Southern Hemisphere, it is associated with the season of SPRING. It is the seasonal equivalent to April in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. 

You can recall that in creation God gave man a COMMISSION MANDATE to take charge, subdue, have dominion, and replenish the earth by His enabling GRACE as written in Genesis 1:26-28. And in the same scenario, our God, through Christ Jesus, has recalled the essence of the great commission mandate to also “OCCUPY TILL HE COME” as written in Luke 19:13. We have become inexcusable if we undermine this great opportunity to SERVE God acceptably and WORSHIP Him worthily in the fellowship and partnership in the terms and context of His COMMISSION MANDATE. 

Therefore, to ENACT the NEW CREATION mandate – “OCCUPY TILL I COME!” – thereby ensuring we are EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED, we must be driven to note that it is also about the CONTEXT to ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD and to KEEP the enemy and cohorts at bay in our path of doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

I do know that A MAN’S IGNORANCEANCE IS HIS OWN MOUNTAIN, and THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH WILL SET HIM FREE. Hence, I therefore commend you to take time to PONDER and MEDITATE on this charge through and through in PRAYERS and where possible, ACCOMPANY IT WITH FASTING, even as the Scripture below does enjoin. 

“And now, brethren, I COMMEND you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to BUILD you up, and to GIVE you an INHERITANCE among all them which are SANCTIFIED” Acts 20:32. 

May you find FULFILMENT and PURPOSE as you take on Month October and enact this to the FULNESS of the capacity that our God has endowed you with – GRACIOUSNESS and GRACEFULNESS in His BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

FURTHER SCRIPTURAL THOUGHT WORTH READING AND PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. 12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, OCCUPY TILL I COME. 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. 15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. 18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. 19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. 20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: 21 for I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. 22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. “THE EARTH is the Lord’s, and the FULNESS thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein” Psalms 24:1. 

“what is man, that thou art MINDFUL of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou MADEST him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7 all sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 8 the fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas” Psalms 8:4-8. 

“Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. 12 I have MADE THE EARTH, and CREATED man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. 13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the Lord of hosts” Isaiah 45:11-13. 

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but THE EARTH hath he GIVEN to the children of men. 17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence. 18 But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord” Psalms 115:16-18. 

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. 

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God CREATED man in his own image, in the image of God CREATED he him; male and female CREATED he them. 28 And God BLESSED them, and God SAID unto them, Be FRUITFUL, and MULTIPLY, and REPLENISH the earth, and SUBDUE it: and have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” Genesis 1:26-28.

The message is: 
ENACTING THE COMMISSION — “OCCUPY TILL I COME” 
God has DELIVERED to every believer a COMMISSION MANDATE to OCCUPY, to DO BUSINESS, and to ADVANCE HIS KINGDOM until Christ returns. This is about being EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED — taking charge of life, stewarding what God has given, and refusing ignorance while walking in BLESSEDNESS, DOMINION, AND FRUITFULNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

 KEY POINTS 

  1. THE SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION: THE MANDATE TO OCCUPY

Luke 19:11-27 
Jesus gave 10 servants 10 pounds/minas with the instruction: “OCCUPY TILL I COME” / “DO BUSINESS TILL I COME”. 
At His return, He required an account of what they gained by trading. 
Principle: We are stewards. Faithfulness in little brings authority over much. Slothfulness and fear lead to loss. 

  1. THE ORIGINAL COMMISSION: DOMINION FROM GENESIS

Genesis 1:26-28; Psalms 8:4-8; Psalms 115:16 
From creation, God gave man a COMMISSION MANDATE to: 
TAKE CHARGE, SUBDUE, HAVE DOMINION, BE FRUITFUL, MULTIPLY, AND REPLENISH THE EARTH. 
“THE EARTH HATH HE GIVEN TO THE CHILDREN OF MEN” Psalm 115:16 
We were CREATED IN HIS IMAGE and CROWNED WITH GLORY AND HONOUR to rule over the works of His hands. 

  1. THE NEW CREATION REALITY IN CHRIST

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 
In Christ we are a NEW CREATION. Old things are passed away. 
God has reconciled us to Himself and COMMITTED TO US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION. 
We are AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST. Our OCCUPATION now includes advancing the Kingdom and representing Him on earth. 

  1. THE SPIRITUAL CONTEXT OF OCCUPYING

To ENACT this mandate means more than activity. It is to: 

ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD 

KEEP THE ENEMY AND HIS COHORTS AT BAY 

LIVE GODLY and DO LIFE in Christ Jesus’ stead 

SERVE GOD ACCEPTABLY and WORSHIP HIM WORTHILY in FELLOWSHIP AND PARTNERSHIP 

We are called to be EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED at the same time. 

  1. THE ENEMY TO OCCUPYING: IGNORANCE

“A MAN’S IGNORANCE IS HIS OWN MOUNTAIN” But “THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH WILL SET HIM FREE” John 8:32 
Therefore we are COMMENDED TO GOD AND TO THE WORD OF HIS GRACE which is able to BUILD US UP and GIVE US AN INHERITANCE Acts 20:32. 

  1. THE CALL TO ACTION FOR THE SEASON

The Month of OCTOBER speaks of BLESSEDNESS. Spiritually, the number “eight” signifies NEW BEGINNING, WEALTH, PROSPERITY, PEACE, AND FERTILITY. It is also HARVEST season. 
Hence the earnest PRAYER is that you take a STEP OF FAITH IN GRACE to ENACT this mandate to the FULNESS of capacity God has endowed you with — in GRACIOUSNESS and GRACEFULNESS in His BLESSEDNESS. 

You are charged to: PONDER, MEDITATE, PRAY, AND WHERE POSSIBLE FAST on this charge. 

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. OCCUPY NOW: Do not wait. Trade with what God has DELIVERED to you — gifts, time, resources, influence.
  2. BE FAITHFUL IN LITTLE: The faithful servant was given authority over cities. Your diligence today determines your dominion tomorrow. 
  3. ADVANCE AND RESIST: Occupy means both BUILDING the Kingdom and RESISTING the enemy. 
  4. GROW IN KNOWLEDGE: Deal with ignorance through the WORD, PRAYER, AND FASTING so you can walk in freedom and purpose. 
  5. LIVE WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW: Be HEAVENLY MINDED while remaining EARTHLY USEFUL until He comes.

“THE EARTH IS THE LORD’S, AND THE FULNESS THEREOF” Psalm 24:1 — and He has given it to us to OCCUPY for His glory. 

May you find FULFILMENT and PURPOSE as you enact this mandate in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND IN CHRIST JESUS’ STEAD!

[2] And do not be CONFORMED to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be TRANSFORMED and PROGRESSIVELY CHANGED [as you mature spiritually] by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may PROVE [for yourselves] what the WILL of God is, that which is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT [in His plan and purpose for you]” Romans 12:1-2/Amplified. 

This season is marked by BLESSEDNESS. Our charge and focus remains: “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen!  

This speaks of the Blessedness of God by faith, it means you ARE being EMPOWERED to succeed, achieve, become and thrive in all that God has done in you in Christ Jesus. It is your season to authenticate [enact] and be ensured of God’s enabling – that by “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” in the grace, in Christ Jesus’ stead, blessedness will become your daily reality. Amen. 

This October is your season to be EFFECTUAL [productive and result oriented], in your redemption rights and privileges in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. For it is as you are “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” in the grace in Christ Jesus, that your essence in the Kingdom plan, purpose and pursuit of God will become tangible, reachable, liveable, lovable and indeed, your reality. 

By the knowledge and understanding of this October charge, it is my earnest PRAYER that you resolve to take a step of faith in the grace to ENACT – “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” – in order to live meaningfully and fulfil the commission mandate that is upon you and upon us all: to be Earthly useful and Heavenly minded, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

And for your refreshing: OCTOBER is the TENTH month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars. It is one of the seven months with 31 days. In the Northern Hemisphere, it is commonly associated with AUTUMN, while in parts of the Southern Hemisphere it aligns with SPRING –a reminder that God brings a new season, new fruitfulness and new harvest in the life of His people.  

The Month of October was originally the eighth month of the Roman calendar. And the name October comes from the Latin word “OCTO” meaning eight. Later, it became the 10th month when January and February were added to the Calendar. And spiritually, the number “eight” is said to be a symbol of NEW BEGINNING, signifying BLESSEDNESS which encompasses – WEALTH, PROSPERITY, PEACE, FERTILITY and more of such like.  Furthermore, the month of October is normally the time of the year when farmers harvest their crops – an indication of productivity and abundance. To me this is significant, such that as we are “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND”, we can then walk into the assured BLESSEDNESS of God in Christ Jesus’ stead in our redemption. 

Therefore, as we take daily steps of Faith through this month in an onward and upward trajectory, I want you to know that as you are “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” in the grace, in Christ Jesus’ stead, you will not just survive – you will THRIVE in the grace.  

And through this Month, as we follow along in the teaching to explore more on this by God’s enabling grace, you will come to know what and why this is so relevant for you in the now, and all about God’s FULNESS. And in the cause of the expository teaching and preaching on – “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” – may you find the enabling of God’s grace in our redemption, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that ye may prove what is that GOOD, and ACCEPTABLE, and PERFECT, WILL of God” Romans 12:1-2. 

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are CHANGED into the same image from GLORY TO GLORY, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” 2 Corinthians 3:18.

REACHING OUT – TO THE NATIONS: BE A VESSEL OF USE [PREACH AND PRAY] FOR THE NATION GOOD! 

“Nevertheless the FOUNDATION of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord KNOWETH them that are His. And, Let every one that NAMETH the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only VESSELS of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to HONOUR, and some to DISHONOUR. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a VESSEL unto HONOUR, SANCTIFIED, and MEET for the master’s use, and PREPARED unto every good work” 2 Timothy 2:19-21. 

It is time to be a VESSEL of USE, of CHANGE, of CREATION, and of INNOVATION in the KINGDOM — for the good and goodness of humanity. And it is also time to stop being an ORNAMENT or an IDOL for whatever reason, if you must be relevant in the kingdom cause of our God in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

You need to know this truth: it is when we ARE doing life and living godly as a VESSEL in USE, that we can keep the ENEMY and HIS COHORTS at bay for the good of humanity. In turn, we can then ADVANCE the good and goodness of others through the kingdom cause of our God, and we can equally partake in God’s BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

We live in a timeless timeline, and that is why we must be engaged relentlessly in the preaching of the Gospel to the known and the unknown, unto the ends of the earth. 

The preaching of the Gospel is God’s set opportunity to show forth His power for the good and goodness of human salvation. And it is as we faithfully preach the Gospel that we put in motion God’s default, de facto, for the end of the age and to bring back our King, our Saviour and our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen. 

“I am not ASHAMED of the GOSPEL, for it is the POWER of God for SALVATION [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek. [17] For in the GOSPEL the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God is REVEALED, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, “The just and upright shall live by faith” Romans 1:16-17/Amplified [Habakkuk 2:4] 

“And this GOSPEL of the kingdom shall be PREACHED in all the WORLD for a witness unto all NATIONS; and then shall the end come” Matthew 24:14. 

Therefore, be a vessel of God in use. Let us PRAY together after the PSALMIST in this act of PRAYER for the cause of the kingdom, thereby enhancing the good and goodness of humanity in the world. 
So, as we preach, let us pray as the psalmist: 

“O God, in mercy bless us; let your face beam with joy as you look down at us. 2 Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind. 3 How everyone throughout the earth will praise the Lord! 4 How glad the nations will be, singing for joy because you are their King and will give true justice to their people! 5 Praise God, O world! May all the peoples of the earth give thanks to you. 6-7 For the earth has yielded abundant harvests. God, even our own God, will bless us. And peoples from remotest lands will worship him” Psalms 67/LB. 

There is the LOVE of God that should persuade us and constrain us to ensure that we are relentless to PREACH the Gospel and to PRAY for the good of the nation, for mankind’s sake, on this side of heaven. 

This relentless Gospel preaching and praying is important and essential, as in the commission — GO YE! — until our risen Lord and Saviour comes. 

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All POWER is given unto me in heaven and in earth. [19] GO YE therefore, and TEACH ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] TEACHING them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” Matthew 28:18-20. 

“And he said unto them, GO YE into all the world, and PREACH the GOSPEL to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. [19] So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. [20] And they went forth, and PREACHED every where, the Lord working with them, and CONFIRMING THE WORD with SIGNS following. Amen” Mark 16:15-20. 

There is this LOVE of God for the world from the John 3:16 derivative concept that I have come to know during an expository opportunity. It is worth knowing, as it is written: 

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16. 

The Derivative Concept of John 3:16 

  1. For God: 
    It must ALWAYS be for God in all matters of the Gospel. The Gospel is for the advancement of the kingdom of God, not for self-gratification. It should always be FOR GOD — which means to PLEASE God. Any ministry that prospers is the consequence of having a “for God” purpose in mind.
  2. God so LOVED: 
    This indicates that the Gospel being PREACHED is Holy Ghost driven, with affectionate love. It must always be a LOVE-driven ministry. It is only based on LOVE that a ministry prospers and succeeds. Compassion must be at the centre. It was a major factor in Christ Jesus’ ministry. Apostle Paul was constrained by love — 2 Corinthians 5:14; 1 Corinthians 13; Romans 5:5. The spirit of LOVE makes Gospel ministry productive. 
    And love must ALWAYS be within the Gospel, as seen in these love-driven concepts, though not limited to: 
    a. Love His commandments. 
    b. Love His work. 
    c. Love the work of God. 
    d. Love His people. 
    e. Give your all in love to the work. 
    f. You cannot forgive without love. 
    g. You cannot reconcile without love. 
    h. Nothing succeeds without love.
  3. The WORLD: 
    Ministry must be globalised. It requires a global mindset. Not family level, not village, not limited to numbers in one community. God loves the world — globally. This must be the Gospel-driven purpose and concept in context.
  4. God GAVE — The Law of Availability: 
    God gave His Son, His skills, His talent and His all. Giving is the proof of our sincerity. The law of giving causes you to give attention to diligent work [Proverbs 22:29]. And nothing works until you work. Meaning, you give attention and give whatever is within your endowments to the work.
  5. God gave His “Only Son”: The Law of Sacrifice 
    That is sacrifice. He gave His best in life and ministry. He gave His only, without minding the consequences. The Gospel requires us to be able to make sacrifices — in good times and in challenging times.
  6. Whosoever BELIEVES: The Law of Faith 
    The Gospel requires believing by faith. One must be assured to believe in God, to believe in oneself, and to believe in the work of the Gospel for it to produce results.
  7. Everlasting Life: The Law of Impart and Impact 
    This speaks of the higher life. The Gospel must be impactful because of the impartation of the grace of God. This is the consequence of the Holy Spirit of impart and impact at work in the Gospel [Acts 10:38; John 4:19-30]. 
    For you ARE God’s ambassador in Christ Jesus’ stead, representing heavenly affairs in earthly affairs. Ensure it from where you are today, unto the ends of the earth. Amen. 

“Yea, so have I strived to PREACH THE GOSPEL, not where Christ was NAMED, lest I should BUILD upon another MAN’S FOUNDATION: 21 but as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand” Romans 15:21. 

LET US GO REACHING OUT TO THE NATIONS. 
BE A VESSEL OF USE — TO PREACH AND PRAY — FOR THE NATION’S GOOD AND GOODNESS IN CHRIST JESUS’ STEAD. AMEN. 

Thank you for taking time to personalise this prayer for the good and goodness of the nation [with your nation in mind], and for being a vessel of God in use and of change, for your nation to innovate, explore and create, and for such an atmosphere to solve human needs. 

Be blessed in God’s grace and BLESSEDNESS as you go preaching and praying to advance the cause of the kingdom of our God, and to keep the enemy and his cohorts at bay.

KEY POINTS 

  1. The Identity: Be a Vessel of Use, not an Ornament
    From 2 Timothy 2:19-21, God is calling us to purge ourselves and become vessels unto honour, sanctified and meet for the Master’s use. The kingdom has no room for idols ornaments. Relevance in God’s cause comes when we are in active use — living godly and doing life as vessels through whom God works
  2. The Mandate: Preach and Pray to the Ends of the Earth
    We live in a timeless timeline. The Gospel must be preached to the known and the unknown, to all nations. Matthew 24:14, Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-20 confirm this commission — GO YE. This preaching and praying is not optional. It is God’s appointed opportunity to show forth His power for human salvation and to set in motion God’s plan for the end of the age
  3. The Motivation: The Love of God Constrains Us
    2 Corinthians 5:14 — The LOVE of God persuades and constrains us. The Gospel must be Holy Ghost driven and LOVE-driven. Compassion was central to Christ’s ministry. Without love we cannot forgive, reconcile, or see ministry prosper. The derivative of John 3:16 shows us 7 truths:
  • For God: All Gospel work must be to please God, not self-gratification. 
  • God so LOVED: Ministry must be driven by affectionate, sacrificial love. 
  • The WORLD: We must have a global mindset. God loves the world. 
  • God GAVE – Law of Availability: Giving our time, talent and all proves sincerity. Proverbs 22:29 
  • God gave His Only Son – Law of Sacrifice: We must give our best, in good and hard times. 
  • Whosoever BELIEVES – Law of Faith: Results come as we believe God, ourselves, and the Gospel. 
  • Everlasting Life – Law of Impart and Impact: The Gospel must impart grace and produce impact by the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:38; John 4:19-30
  1. The Prayer Model: Psalm 67
    As we preach, we must also pray like the psalmist — that God would bless us, that His way and saving power would be known among all nations, and that the earth would yield her increase and all peoples would worship Him
  2. The Authority and Promise: Signs Will Follow
    Christ has all power in heaven and earth. As we GO and PREACH, the Lord Himself will work with us and confirm the Word with signs following. We are not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation and the righteousness of God is revealed in it. Romans 1:16-17 [Habakkuk 2:4] 
  3. The Identity of the Believer: Ambassadors for Christ
    2 Corinthians 5:17-21 — We are new creations and ambassadors for Christ. God has committed to us the word of reconciliation. A faithful ambassador brings health. Proverbs 13:17 God confirms the word of His servant and performs the counsel of His messengers. Isaiah 44:26
    Romans 15:20-21 also charges us to preach where Christ has not been named.

LET DILIGENCE BE YOUR WATCHWORD IN LIFE AND GODLINESS: IT IS ABSOLUTELY REWARDING IN DOING LIFE AND LIVING GODLY IN CHRIST JESUS STEAD! 

“Seest thou a man DILIGENT in his business? he shall STAND before KINGS (HONOUR, NOBLE, DIGNITY, VALUE, SUBSTANCE); he shall not stand before MEAN (OBSCURE, UNPROFITABLE, UNPRODUCTIVE, SLOTHFUL, SLUGGARD) men” Proverbs 22:29/Emphasis Mine. 

DILIGENCE rewards, empowers, emancipates and positions one for greatness. 
Start your dawn — each day as in your work-week — with the spirit of diligence, and you shall see the result of it at the end of the day. 

“But without FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to PLEASE him: for he that cometh to God must BELIEVE that he is, and that he is a REWARDER of them that DILIGENTLY seek him” Hebrews 11:6. 

DILIGENCE is an ingredient that hallmarks one in attaining GREATER HEIGHTS in one’s PLANS, PURPOSES AND PURSUITS; and also to position one in grace in order to succeed with God in life and godliness. 

DILIGENT people have no room for the SLUGGARD and LUKEWARM person that waste resources for doing life — TIME, EFFORT, FINANCE, MATERIAL AND PEOPLE; that is, it helps to keep the SLOTHFUL at bay in any way lest they become the mountain, valley, crooked and rough places in the path of one’s greatness. Therefore, SPEW them out of your way. 

You are your own destiny DEFINITION. BE DILIGENT TO MAKE IT BE. 

DILIGENCE makes you PRINCIPLED, RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE. It helps you to see the need to be PRUDENT with the resources of doing life and living godly. And good STEWARDS cannot be found wanting in LIFE and GODLY LIVING.

“The HAND of the DILIGENT will RULE, But the LAZY man will be PUT to FORCED LABOR” Proverbs 12:24 NKJV. 

“The SLOTHFUL man ROASTETH NOT that which he TOOK in HUNTING: but the SUBSTANCE of a DILIGENT man is PRECIOUS” Proverbs 12:27.

 SUMMARY: 
The message is a charge and exhortation that DILIGENCE is the godly ingredient that distinguishes, elevates and rewards a believer. It teaches that diligence in life and godliness positions you for HONOUR, INFLUENCE and GREATNESS before God and men, while slothfulness, lukewarmness and waste lead to poverty, obscurity and bondage. God Himself is a REWARDER of those who DILIGENTLY seek Him.

  3. REMOVE SLOTHFUL INFLUENCES. SPEW OUT every SLUGGARD, LUKEWARM and wasteful attitude that wastes TIME, EFFORT, FINANCE, MATERIAL AND PEOPLE. 
  4. BE A GOOD STEWARD. Be PRUDENT, PRINCIPLED, RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE with all God has given you. 
  5. SEEK GOD DILIGENTLY. Believe that He is and that He is a REWARDER. Pursue Him in faith and patience to INHERIT THE PROMISES.

PRAYER – OUR INESCAPABLE, GLOBAL & SUPREME TASK: THE ANTIDOTE TO PERSONAL, FAMILY, LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ILLS! 

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY, AND NOT TO FAINT (LOOSE HEART, GIVE UP, BE WEARY)” Luke 18:1 (Emphasis Mine). 

FOR NO RAIN, MEANS NO RAINBOW — 
indicating the essence of PRAYER as the ANSWER to human quest with God, in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

AND THIS IS ABOUT INVOLVING HEAVEN IN OUR EARTHLY AFFAIRS — 
and it is a MUST for you and I, who are the BELIEVING ONES, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

LET’S DO IT NOW AND NOT TOMORROW, knowing that the present and current WARS, HUMAN DISPLACEMENTS and THE UNSTABLE ECONOMIC EFFECTS in the world may OUTWEIGH the PANDEMIC of any sort. 

And many are dying, and will die, of STARVATION and from the INHUMANITY in displacements by wars, 
especially in a FAILED STATE ECONOMY. 

POVERTY and UNEMPLOYMENT are already ILLUMINATING throughout the world — 
and even in the very place you are at the moment, if you look closer and closely within. 

The current atmosphere of challenges around us in human history KNOWS NO BOUNDS. 
And it is an AWAKENING, TIMELESS TIMELINE CALL to change the course and trajectory of our LIFE, FAMILY and NATION through PRAYERS. 

PRAYER is the BELIEVER’S in Christ — GLOBAL, INESCAPABLE and SUPREME TASK in THE GRACE. 

And knowingly and unknowingly, we are to BY PRAYER effect the changes we earnestly desire to take place. 
For PRAYER is the ANTIDOTE to personal, family, local, national and international ills! 

For our God WILL DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY as we pray in THE GRACE. 
For He is NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS, and His doings are free of SENTIMENT, PREJUDICE and DISSIMULATION. 

“I exhort therefore, that, FIRST OF ALL, SUPPLICATIONS, PRAYERS, INTERCESSIONS, and GIVING OF THANKS, be made for ALL MEN; 2 for KINGS, and for all that are in AUTHORITY; that we may LEAD A QUIET AND PEACEABLE LIFE in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” 1 Timothy 2:1-4. 

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is NO RESPECTER of persons: [35] but in EVERY NATION He that FEARETH [REVERENCE] him, and WORKETH RIGHTEOUSNESS, is ACCEPTED with Him” Acts 10:34-35. 

I therefore EMPLOY YOU to ENDEAVOUR to make this awakening a PERSONAL, FAMILY, LOCAL and NATIONAL PRAYER WALL — a SET TASK. 

I DO BELIEVE it will TURN THE HEARTS of kings and leaders, and all in respective places of governance, to DO GOOD. 
Then we can stop complaining and blaming only the POLITICIANS and OTHERS ALIKE for all our uncontrollable human troubles. 

Knowing that they are HUMANS who are equally subject to natural causes and to changes beyond human control. 
And they are LIMITED in many phases, being human, to meet the challenging needs of everyone at the same time — which is often beyond their reach and sometimes hindered by SELF-CENTRED and SELFISH ENDS. 

There is the NEED TO BE AWAKENED to this PRAYER TASK if we MUST make a REMARKABLE ETERNAL EFFECT and the difference we care about in our earthly life, before our God, our community and humanity. 

It is OUR TIME to beckon on HEAVEN to intervene in our EARTHLY AFFAIRS, in order to make it GOOD BEYOND BORDERS AND WALLS OF DIFFERENCE. 

It is all about MAKING A DIFFERENCE AND IMPACT through PRAYERS, as it is written in the Holy Writ: 2 CHRONICLES 7:13-15 

“If I SHUT UP HEAVEN that THERE BE NO RAIN, or if I command the LOCUSTS TO DEVOUR THE LAND, or if I send PESTILENCE AMONG MY PEOPLE; 14 if my people, which are CALLED BY MY NAME, shall HUMBLE THEMSELVES, and PRAY, and SEEK MY FACE, and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; then will I HEAR from heaven, and will FORGIVE their sin, and will HEAL their land. 15 Now mine EYES shall be open, and mine EARS attent unto the PRAYER that is MADE in this place” 2 Chronicles 7:13-15. 

“. . . [18] And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades (death) will not overpower it [by preventing the resurrection of the Christ]. [19] I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will have [already] been loosed in heaven . . .” Matthew 16:18-19 [13-20]/Amplified. [Ephesians 1:22; 4:15; 5:23; Colossians 1:18] [Isaiah 22:22; Matthew 18:18] 

Herein is my summary from the Scripture of 2 Chronicles 7:13-15 in respect to why we need to earnestly pray to welcome Heaven into our earthly affairs, as a demand upon us to bring about an answer to the world’s challenging and difficult times — as the Believing ones — the people who are called by God’s precious name. Amen. 

  • WHEN THERE’S NO RAIN (PRODUCTIVITY and ECONOMIC MISHAP) — to enable one to thrive, blossom and flourish towards growth.
  • WHEN THE LOCUSTS (Economic recessions and Austerity Measures) — invade, ruin and rule the land (personal and national economy).
  • WHEN PESTILENCE (Diverse kinds of continuous PANDEMIC Diseases and Sicknesses) — invades the land (Nations) despite all the research and technology in medical science. 

Just know full well that NO RAIN means NO RAINBOW — and PRAYER is the ANSWER. And it’s about involving the HEAVENLY in our EARTHLY AFFAIRS — and it’s a must for you the BELIEVING ONE in CHRIST JESUS’ stead. 

Let’s do it now. Not tomorrow. The ECONOMIC EFFECTS may outweigh the PANDEMIC and WARS, for many will die of starvation. POVERTY and UNEMPLOYMENT just as SICKNESSES and DISEASES, are already alarming both locally, nationally and globally. 

DEAR FRIEND, KNOW FOR SURE THAT — PRAYER IS OUR INESCAPABLE, GLOBAL AND SUPREME TASK — IT’S THE ANTIDOTE TO PERSONAL, FAMILY, LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ILLS FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW.

SUMMARY:  

The message is a prophetic, urgent charge for THE BELIEVING ONES in Christ Jesus’ stead. It teaches that in a season of WARS, ECONOMIC MELTDOWN, PANDEMIC, POVERTY and HUMAN DISPLACEMENT, the only true solution is to INVOLVE HEAVEN IN OUR EARTHLY AFFAIRS THROUGH PRAYER. Prayer is not an option — it is the believer’s GLOBAL, INESCAPABLE and SUPREME TASK. When we pray, we create the conditions for God to HEAR, FORGIVE, HEAL and TURN THE HEARTS OF LEADERS, so that what we once chased will now come to us. 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. The Biblical Mandate for Unceasing Prayer
  • Luke 18:1: MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY, AND NOT TO FAINT — not to lose heart, give up, or be weary.

  • NO RAIN — PRODUCTIVITY and ECONOMIC MISHAP. People cannot thrive, blossom or flourish towards growth. 
  • LOCUSTS — Economic recessions and Austerity Measures that invade, ruin and rule personal and national economies. 
  • PESTILENCE — Diverse kinds of continuous PANDEMIC Diseases and Sicknesses despite medical advancement. 
    The ECONOMIC EFFECTS may OUTWEIGH the PANDEMIC and WARS. POVERTY, UNEMPLOYMENT, STARVATION and INHUMANITY are ILLUMINATING globally, even in failed state economies.
  1. The Divine Principle and Promise: 2 Chronicles 7:13-15
    When God shuts heaven, sends locusts or pestilence — the answer is not protest or panic.
    IF MY PEOPLE, WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY, AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN, AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND. 
    God is NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS [Acts 10:34-35]. He WILL DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY as we pray in THE GRACE. 
     
  2. The Believer’s Authority and Assignment
  • Matthew 16:18-19: We have the KEYS of the kingdom — whatever we BIND on earth is bound in heaven, whatever we LOOSE is loosed. 
  • Ecclesiastes 11:1-6: In the morning SOW thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand — we must keep praying though we do not know the outcome. 
  • Our Task: To make this awakening a PERSONAL, FAMILY, LOCAL and NATIONAL PRAYER WALL — a SET TASK. 
    By PRAYER we effect changes and TURN THE HEARTS of kings and leaders to DO GOOD, so we stop blaming POLITICIANS for troubles beyond human capacity.
  1. The Goal: Eternity Intervening in Earth
    It is OUR TIME to beckon on HEAVEN to intervene in our EARTHLY AFFAIRS — to make it GOOD BEYOND BORDERS AND WALLS OF DIFFERENCE.
    PRAYER is the ANTIDOTE to ills for TODAY and TOMORROW. 

CALL TO ACTION: 

  1. LET’S DO IT NOW. NOT TOMORROW. The time to pray is urgent.
  2. ESTABLISH PRAYER WALLS. Make prayer a PERSONAL, FAMILY, LOCAL and NATIONAL SET TASK.
  3. PRAY SCRIPTURALLY. 
    Pray for healing of the land 2 Chronicles 7:14
    Pray for kings and all in authority 1 Timothy 2:1-4. 
    Pray do not faint or grow weary Luke 18:1
  4. PRAY WITH THANKSGIVING. Present every circumstance to God [Philippians 4:6-7] and trust Him for PEACE that transcends understanding.
  5. SOW IN PRAYER CONSISTENTLY. Ecclesiastes 11:6 — Morning and evening, keep praying. You do not know which will prosper.
  6. SHARE AND MOBILISE. Call others to join the PRAYER WALL for our community, nation and humanity.

The BEES WILL COME TO POLLINATE your work and your working, in THE GRACE. 

What you once chased will simply ARRIVE, because you finally became the kind of GROUND it could not resist.

THE FEAR OF SICKNESSES AND DISEASES MUST NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU: FOR GOD’S BANNER OVER YOU IS HEALTHY LIVING – HEALING AND HEALTH! 

“For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me. 22 IS THERE NO BALM IN GILEAD; IS THERE NO PHYSICIAN THERE? why then is not the HEALTH of the daughter of my people recovered?“ Jeremiah 8:21-22. 

Are there SICKNESSES And DISEASES? YES! Are there COVID-19? YES! Or CORONAVIRUS? YES! Are there other VIRAL DISEASES? YES! Are there any other FATAL and NON-FATAL DIS-EASE? YES! ARE ALL OF THEM THERE TO HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU? NO! For there is HEALTH AND HEALING BALM IN GILEAD. For JESUS CHRIST is your HEALING and HEALTH BALM for your TODAY and TOMORROW 

FEAR is the ENEMY and the COHORTS’ POLICING OFFICER to get you CAUGHT UP with SICKNESSES And DISEASES and such pandemics like CORONAVIRUS and their EFFECTS and the UNKNOWN. 

FAITH is the VICTORY over FEAR; and it is the ANTIDOTE to the spirit of FEAR and its POLICING system and EFFECT that is now in the world – especially on matters of SICKNESSES And DISEASES and such as CORONAVIRUS. Suffice it to know that CORONAVIRUS is having an effect that is gradually impacting and has drastically impacted the ECONOMICS of the WORLD ECONOMY.  

Therefore, I SAY to you in the Christ Jesus’ stead: INSTEAD OF FEAR, ENACT FAITH IN GOD THROUGH PRAYERS FOR BOTH OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE MEASURES IN SUCH A TIME AS THIS CURRENT CLIMATE – FOR YOUR TODAY AND EVEN NOW. 

If you must FEAR, FEAR the JUDGEMENT of God upon SIN due to one’s UNREPENTANT HEARTS TOWARDS Him in Christ Jesus – Hebrews 10:30-31; Acts 20:21; Psalms 9:8; Psalms 96:10, 13, 

There are THREE EFFECTS OF SIN that the REDEMPTION DEED OF CHRIST dealt with for you. And FAITH in the finished DEED OF CHRIST JESUS SETTLES ALL – especially now on SICKNESS And DISEASES, which includes COVID-19 alias CORONAVIRUS and others. 

THESE EFFECTS OF SIN ARE: 

  •  POVERTY 
  •  SICKNESS and 
  •  SPIRITUAL DEATH 

FAITH IN GOD is the ANTIDOTE to FEAR – which is the ENEMY’S and COHORTS’ VEHICLE to police these effects on mankind. 
BE FREE in Christ Jesus’ stead. 
I PLEAD with you today.

SCRIPTURAL TRUTH WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“GRACE be to you and PEACE from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who GAVE himself for OUR SINS, that he MIGHT DELIVER us from THIS PRESENT EVIL WORLD, according to THE WILL of God and our Father: 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” Galatians 1:3-5. 

“Beloved, I wish ABOVE ALL THINGS that thou mayest PROSPER and BE IN HEALTH, even as thy SOUL PROPERETH”

“Forasmuch then as the children are PARTAKERS of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise TOOK PART OF THE SAME; that through DEATH he might DESTROY him that had the POWER of DEATH, that is, the DEVIL; 15 and deliver them who through FEAR OF DEATH WERE ALL THEIR LIFETIME SUBJECT TO BONDAGE” Hebrews 2:14-15. 

“For this is THE LOVE OF GOD, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not GRIEVOUS (Burdensome, Irksome, Taskmaster). 4 For WHATSOEVER is born of God OVERCOMETH THE WORLD: and this is the VICTORY THAT OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, even our FAITH. 5 Who is he that OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, but he that BELIEVETH that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:3-5 (Emphasis Mine).

“If I shut up heaven that there be NO RAIN, or if I command the LOCUSTS TO DEVOUR THE LAND, or if I send PESTILENCE AMONG MY PEOPLE; 14 if my people, which are CALLED by my name, shall HUMBLE themselves, and PRAY, and SEEK my face, and TURN from their WICKED ways; then will I HEAR from heaven, and will FORGIVE their sin, and will HEAL their land. 15 Now mine EYES shall be open, and mine EARS attent unto the PRAYER that is MADE in this place” 2 Chronicles 5:13-15. 

“Who his own SELF BARE OUR SINS IN HIS OWN BODY on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: BY WHOSE STRIPES YE WERE HEALED” 1 Peter 2:24 (Isaiah 53:4-6). 

“But if the Spirit of him that RAISED up Jesus from the dead DWELL in you, he that RAISED up Christ from the dead shall also QUICKEN (GIVE LIFE TO) your MORTAL BODIES by his Spirit that DWELLETH in you” Romans 8:11 (Emphasis Mine). 

“And said, If thou wilt DILIGENTLY hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put NONE of these DISEASES upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I AM the LORD (JEHOVAH-RAPHA) that HEALETH thee” Exodus 15:26 (Emphasis Mine) 

“And ye shall SERVE the Lord your God, and he shall BLESS thy bread, and thy water; and I will TAKE SICKNESS AWAY from the MIDST of thee. 26 There shall NOTHING CAST their young, nor be BARREN, in thy land: the NUMBER of thy days I will FULFIL” Exodus 23:25-26. 

Further Scriptural Reading Text: Isaiah 53:4-6. 

SUMMARY 

The message is: “THE FEAR OF SICKNESSES AND DISEASES MUST NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU: FOR GOD’S BANNER OVER YOU IS HEALTHY LIVING – HEALING AND HEALTH!” 
Anchored on Jeremiah 8:22 — “Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there?” 

This is a prophetic charge and pastoral teaching that confronts the spirit of fear in the face of sicknesses, diseases, pandemics, and economic instability. It establishes that Jesus Christ is the Healing and Health Balm for today and tomorrow, and that believers must respond with faith, not fear. 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. The Reality vs. The Authority
    Yes, sicknesses, diseases, COVID-19, coronavirus, and other viral and fatal/non-fatal diseases exist.
    However, none of them are permitted to have dominion over the believer. 
    God’s banner over His people is HEALTHY LIVING, HEALING, AND HEALTH. 
  2. The Root of the Crisis: Fear
    Fear is identified as the enemy’s vehicle and policing officer used to bring people into bondage to sickness, disease, and the unknown.
    Fear has also had a drastic impact on the world economy. 
    Scripture confirms: God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind [2 Timothy 1:7]. 
  3. The Antidote: Faith in God
    Faith is the victory that overcomes fear [1 John 5:4].
    Faith is the antidote to the spirit of fear and its effects. 
    The believer’s response in this season must be to enact faith in God through prayer for both offensive and defensive measures. 
  4. The Redemption Foundation: 3 Effects of Sin Dealt With
    Through the redemptive work of Christ, 3 major effects of sin were dealt with:
  • Poverty 
  • Sickness and Disease 
  • Spiritual Death 
    By faith in the finished deed of Christ, believers are settled and delivered from these — including COVID-19 and coronavirus. 
    “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace” [Romans 6:14]. 
  1. Scriptural Proof of God’s Will
  • Healing: By His stripes we were healed [1 Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:5]. 
  • Divine Health: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health [3 John 2]. 
  • Protection: He shall deliver thee from the noisome pestilence [Psalm 91:3]. 
  • Covenant: I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH THEE [Exodus 15:26]. 
  • Life: The Spirit that raised Christ will quicken your mortal body [Romans 8:11]. 
  • Freedom: Christ came to deliver us from fear and from the hand of the enemy [Luke 1:74-75]. 

CALL TO ACTION: 

  1. REFUSE FEAR. Do not allow the fear of sicknesses and diseases to have dominion over you. 
  2. ENACT FAITH. Believe, meditate on, and declare the healing and health scriptures over your life. 
  3. ENGAGE PRAYER. Take both offensive and defensive measures in prayer in this present climate. 
  4. BE FREE. Walk in the reality that Jesus Christ is your healing and health balm today. 

I PLEAD WITH YOU TODAY: BE FREE IN CHRIST JESUS’ STEAD. AMEN.

BE HEALED AND WHOLE: THE WORD HEALS AND GIVES HEALTH TODAY! 

“He sent His WORD, and HEALED them, and DELIVERED [RESCUED, SAVED] them from their destructions” Psalms 107:20. 

The WORD of God heals and keeps one healthy in life – for today, tomorrow and always [Hebrews 13:8] and delivers from every form of destruction, as we endeavour to believe and lay hold on the word unreservedly today. So I say to you: BE HEALED and WHOLE, for the WORD administers HEALING and HEALTH to us by the scriptures. Your part in securing healing, health, victory and sustainability is to BELIEVE the WORD, MEDITATE on the WORD, and DECLARE the WORD – in order to ADMINISTER the word to your WELL-BEING in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. And the WORD of God sent to heal us and to keep us in health is Jesus, who became flesh in humanity for our own good [1 John 5:7; John 1:1-5, 14, 17]. And FAITH in the WORD that brings salvation also brings healing and health likewise, accordingly, unreservedly, and without sentiment, prejudice or dissimulation. 

“For I will RESTORE HEALTH unto thee, and I will HEAL THEE OF THY WOUNDS, saith the Lord; because they CALLED thee an OUTCAST, saying, This is ZION, whom no man seeketh after” Jeremiah 30:17. 

“For I will RESTORE HEALTH to you And I will HEAL YOUR WOUNDS,’ says the Lord, ‘Because they have CALLED you an OUTCAST, saying: “This is ZION; no one SEEKS her and no one CARES for her.” Jeremiah 30:17 AMPLIFIED. 

It is your BLESSEDNESS to ENACT your REDEMPTION DEED in Christ Jesus’ stead, by your FAITH in the healing and health scriptures – For by His STRIPES you ARE HEALED and MADE WHOLE. Amen. 

SELAH – PAUSE AND THINK! For God’s earnest desire and plan is to have us healed and to be in health [3 John 1:2]. He wants us to be WELL – HEALED AND WHOLE. And this comes as we ADMINISTER the healing and health Scriptures accordingly: That is, to BELIEVE THE WORD, to MEDITATE ON THE WORD and to DECLARE THE WORD – thereby ADMINISTERING THE WORD into our WELL-BEING in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your MOUTH, but you shall MEDITATE on it day and night, that you may OBSERVE and DO according to all that is written in it. For then you shall MAKE your way PROSPEROUS, and then you shall deal WISELY and have GOOD SUCCESS” Joshua 1:8/Amplified Classic Edition. 

It is my PRAYER that this day and now, it is your day to be WELL AND WHOLE – as you COMMUNICATE YOUR FAITH to your being for wholeness in Jesus’ healing Name, Amen. 

“I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, 5 hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; 6 that the COMMUNICATION (ANNOUNCING, PROCLAMATION, DECLARATION) of thy FAITH may become EFFECTUAL (RESULTS ORIENTED, PRODUCTIVE) by the ACKNOWLEDGING of every GOOD THING which is IN YOU in Christ Jesus” Philemon 1:6 (Emphasis Mine). 

I want you to PRAYERFULLY and BOLDLY DECLARE – by COMMUNICATING healing and health to your being, through the Holy SCRIPTURES that are written with you in mind – as you ACKNOWLEDGE all the healing good that God has done and is doing in you in Christ Jesus’’ stead. Amen. When you INCLINE YOURYOUR EARSEARS to God’s SAYINGS by FAITH, other SAYINGS become IRRELEVANT, and your miracle comes as you take your stand in GRACE in Christ Jesus’ stead, in God. Amen. Romans 5:1-2; Proverbs 4:20-23. 

You need to BELIEVE THE SCRIPTURAL WORD IN CONTEXT as you read and study the WORD. For to BELIEVE THE WORD is to CONCEIVE THE WORD in your spirit being. Then MEDITATE – that is, to PONDER – on the WORD. Then DECLARE to ADMINISTER – that is, to COMMUNICATE, PROCLAIM, ANNOUNCE – your FAITH on what you BELIEVE in the WORD with your MOUTH to that ILLNESS, that SICKNESS, and such like ‘NESSES that make you SICK; and to that DISEASE that makes you UN-EASE. For to be DIS-EASED is to be UN-EASED. For therein, your HEALTH and HEALING – your WELLNESS and WHOLENESS – is come and is coming in God’s JEHOVAH-RAPHA Name, in Christ Jesus. Amen. 

“My son, pay ATTENTION to MY WORDS and be willing to learn; Open your EARS to MY SAYINGS. 21 Do not let them escape from your sight; Keep them in the center of your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them, And HEALING and HEALTH to all their FLESH. 23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life” Proverbs 4:20-23 Amplified. 

I PRAY that as you MEDITATE and make an EMBOLDENED DECLARATION – a COMMUNICATION of FAITH – upon these HEALTH and HEALING SCRIPTURES, may you be HEALED and WHOLE in Jesus’ precious Name, Amen. Hebrews 4:14-16; 1 John 5:14-15; 1 John 4:17-18 

For at the NAME of JESUS – ALL FLESH, ALL THINGS, ALL KNEES, ALL TONGUES and ALL CREATION answer to the call for your health and healing well-being as it is written, but not limited to: 

  1. There is POWER over ALL FLESH – John 17:1-3. 
  2. There is POWER to SUBDUE ALL THINGS – Philippians 3:20-21.
  3. There is POWER to make EVERY KNEE BOW and EVERY TONGUE CONFESS to God’s Sovereignty in Christ Jesus’ stead – Philippians 2:9-11. 
  4. There is Power To make ALL CREATION submit in worship and adoration – Revelation 4:1-11; Revelation 5:1-14. 

Just know for SURE and CERTAINLY that GOD LOVES YOU and cares about you. Therefore, FEAR NOT, for AS HE IS, SO OUGHT YOU TO BE in this world – in HEALTH and WHOLENESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 1 John 4:17. 

“Herein is our love MADE perfect, that we may have BOLDNESS in the day of JUDGMENT: BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. 18 There is no FEAR in love; but perfect love CASTETH OUT FEAR: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love” 1 John 4:17-18. 

FAITHFUL IS HE THAT PROMISED, AND HE WILL DO IT ACCORDINGLY FOR YOU. AMEN.

“That if thou shalt CONFESS with thy MOUTH the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE in thine HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED. 10 For with the HEART man BELIEVETH unto righteousness; and with the mouth CONFESSION is MADE unto SALVATION [Health, Healing, Security, Deliverance, Victory, Triumph, Peace, Restoration, Reconciliation, etc]” Romans 10:9-10/Emphasis Mine.

“That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES, AND BARE OUR SICKNESSES” Matthew 8:17.

“Herein is our love MADE PERFECT (COMPLETE, WHOLE, FULNESS), that we may have BOLDNESS in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no FEAR in love; but PERFECT love CASTETH out FEAR: because FEAR hath TORMENT. He that FEARETH is not MADE PERFECT in love” 1 John 4:17-18. 

“For God did not give us a spirit of TIMIDITY or COWARDICE or FEAR, but [He has GIVEN us a spirit] of POWER and of LOVE and of SOUND JUDGMENT and PERSONAL DISCIPLINE [abilities that RESULT in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]” 2 Timothy 1:7/Amplified. 

“And this is the CONFIDENCE that we have in him, that, if we ASK ANY THING ACCORDING to his WILL, he heareth us: 15 and if we KNOW that he HEAR us, WHATSOEVER we ASK, we KNOW that we have the PETITIONS that we DESIRED of him” 1 John 5:14-15. 

SUMMARY 

The message is: “BE HEALED AND WHOLE: THE WORD HEALS AND GIVES HEALTH TODAY” 

This is a faith charge and teaching on divine healing. The core of it is that God’s Word is medicine to our flesh, and when we receive it the right way, it produces health, healing, and wholeness in our bodies. 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. God’s Word is for Your Healing Today
    The Word of God heals and keeps us healthy — for today, tomorrow and always [Hebrews 13:8].
    God sent His Word and healed them [Psalm 107:20]. 
    He promised: “I will RESTORE HEALTH unto thee, and I will HEAL THEE OF THY WOUNDS” [Jeremiah 30:17]. 
    The Word of God sent to heal us is Jesus [John 1:1-14]. 
  2. It Is God’s Will for You to Be Well
    God’s earnest desire is that we be in health [3 John 1:2].
    He loves you and cares about you. Therefore FEAR NOT. 
    As He is, so ought you to be in this world — in HEALTH and WHOLENESS [1 John 4:17]. 
    He is JEHOVAH-RAPHA – The Lord that healeth you [Exodus 15:26]. 
  3. Healing Was Secured By Redemption
    By His stripes we ARE HEALED and MADE WHOLE [Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24].
    Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses [Matthew 8:17]. 
    It is your blessedness to ENACT your REDEMPTION DEED by faith in the healing scriptures. 
  4. Your Part: How to Receive and Administer Healing
    To walk in healing, you must:
  • BELIEVE THE WORD – Conceive it in your spirit [Romans 10:9-10] 
  • MEDITATE ON THE WORD – Ponder it day and night [Joshua 1:8; Proverbs 4:20-22] 
  • DECLARE THE WORD – Communicate, proclaim and announce your faith with your mouth [Philemon 1:6] 

When you incline your ears to God’s sayings by faith, other sayings become irrelevant. Speak to that illness, sickness and disease with the Word. 

  1. There Is Power in the Name of Jesus
    At the Name of Jesus:
  • There is power over ALL FLESH [John 17:3] 
  • Power to SUBDUE ALL THINGS [Philippians 3:21] 
  • Every KNEE BOWS and TONGUE CONFESSES [Philippians 2:10-11] 
  • ALL CREATION submits in worship [Revelation 4-5] 
  1. Walk in Faith, Not Fear
    FAITHFUL IS HE THAT PROMISED, AND HE WILL DO IT [Hebrews 10:23].
    Hold fast the confession of your faith without wavering. 
    God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER, LOVE and A SOUND MIND [2 Timothy 1:7]. 
    We overcome by the BLOOD OF THE LAMB and THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY [Revelation 12:11].  

CALL TO ACTION: 
Today, prayerfully and boldly DECLARE healing and health to your being. 
MEDITATE on these health and healing scriptures. 
COMMUNICATE YOUR FAITH to your body. 
Speak to every illness and command it to bow to the Word.

PRUDENCE – THE MANAGING AND MANAGEMENT OF GOD’S GIVEN RESOURCES: FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE – THE WISE PATH OF DOING LIFE THROUGH PRUDENCE! 

“A PRUDENT [FAR-SIGHTED] man FORESEETH the evil, and HIDETH himself: but the SIMPLE [NAIVE] pass on, and are PUNISHED [SUFFERED]” Proverbs 22:3/Emphasis Mine. 

PRUDENCE — it is the managing and MANAGEMENT of God’s endowed and given resources in terms of — TALENT/SKILL, FINANCE (MONEY), TIME, MATERIAL (PHYSICAL SUPPORT) and PEOPLE — that are within reach to do the PURPOSEFUL and MEANINGFUL diligent work in life and grace. 

The above is the definition God taught me in His WISDOM FOR LIVING SCHOOL; and in the course of doing life and living godly in any form of business in the Kingdom, I have also learnt and am still learning what it takes to be FULFILLED, which is far beyond mere SUCCESS or being SUCCESSFUL. 

And to be PRUDENT, there is the need to be PRINCIPLED, RESPONSIBLE, ACCOUNTABLE and DILIGENT in all matters of doing life and godly living in the grace. 

“The WISE in heart shall be called PRUDENT: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning” Proverbs 16:21. 

Therefore, considering the context of being PRUDENT — there is the need to be prudent in the management of God’s given resources that are available to you, in doing life and living godly. The stewardship and faithfulness to such given resources of God will open doors of trust to greater endowments for any man [Matthew 25:14-30; 1 Corinthians 4:1-2]. 

You need to learn from our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, who in His humanity and earthly ministerial assignment and mandate from Father God, NEVER wasted materials. An example is the way He prudently ensured that which could have been considered leftovers — like the fragments — were gathered. After feeding the five thousand men, besides women and children, with the five loaves and two fishes, He ensured that the fragments were gathered into twelve (12) baskets for other causes or further causes [Matthew 14:15-21]. 
“. . 20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they TOOK UP of the FRAGMENTS that remained twelve baskets full . .” [Matthew 14:20; Mark 6:30-44; Luke 9:10-17]. 

Considering being PRUDENT in one resource — FINANCES — there is the need to ensure that you are prudently intelligent; for the essence of being prudent in finance and financial management may not be appreciated until you hit the bottom, as I have experienced. It is when you watch and see that all you have worked for, or freely been given, or have inherited, disappears before your very eyes, as found in the Prodigal son lifestyle [Luke 15:11-24]; and more so, in Isaac’s near-bankruptcy because of the FAMINE [economic meltdown, austerity] that broke out, as experienced in the Holy Writ [Genesis 26:1-14]. 

My mentor and father in the Lord, of blessed memory, once said in a marriage seminar to the married men audience in attendance then, with this wisdom nugget for marital living: 

“DON’T BORROW MONEY FROM YOUR WIFE” — simply put, because in some of a wife’s world — in the paying back — “IT’S AN INTEREST-ONLY BUSINESS TRANSACTION — AND PAYING BACK NEVER ENDS” while the marriage lasts. 
I was told, “You will pay INTEREST-ONLY for all your life and the loan will never be acknowledged as paid.” That is the lesson I learnt not early enough. It took me years to put together what that statement means. 

What I have come to know is this: that which I considered to have been mine in a way, is called OURS; but what children and wife have, they say it’s THEIRS and not ours respectively. 
In a factual world, that is considered to be selfish by these two groups — and that is what I always thought before. Perhaps I may be wrong. 
If otherwise, do you or anybody have such experiences, or is it just me in my world? Help me out if you do. 

I also later, in the course of time, discovered that the notepad in which my wife wrote that she lent me money years and years ago — which I could hardly remember again — is still intact. Long after I am sure and certain that I had fully paid back within the framework of the time agreed, and even when the purpose was still about resolving our family cause and causes. 
For her, that money is hers and not ours indeed. 
Each time I requested that she should indicate “fully paid” with a date on her notepad, as expected then, she said NO. 
When I asked why, she would say whatever I had paid, as far as she was concerned, was ‘INTEREST ONLY’, because money taken from a woman is never fully paid. Just as my father in the Lord had told us — and as he taught us in the marriage seminar from his own experiences. 

My wife said that is the only way to help me understand what PRUDENCE and being PRUDENT — the management of God’s given resources — really means in financial matters. 
And for you, the Believers in Christ Jesus — it is worthwhile noting that in the management of God’s given resource, the reason why you need to live and do life WITHIN your own available means and resource, and not count on someone else’s as yours. 
Such self-acclaimed entitlement to someone else’s can ruin your life if you are not principled in being prudential. 

That is what I ascribe as to LIVE [LIVING] WITHIN YOUR OWN FAITH AND NOT SOMEONE ELSE’S FAITH! — which otherwise means, living within your means as to TILL [CULTIVATE] your OWN LAND [OPPORTUNITY], and in the PROCESS OF TIME your breakthrough will eventually come in the grace. 
For whatever happens to be without a process is a scam and a fraud. 

“Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the JUST [RIGHTEOUS] shall LIVE by HIS FAITH” Habakkuk 2:4/Emphasis mine. 

“He that TILLETH HIS LAND shall be SATISFIED with BREAD: but he that FOLLOWETH VAIN persons is VOID of understanding” Proverbs 12:11. 

“He that TILLETH [CULTIVATED] HIS LAND shall have PLENTY of bread: but he that FOLLOWETH after VAIN persons shall have POVERTY enough. 20 A FAITHFUL man shall ABOUND with BLESSINGS: but he that MAKETH HASTE to be RICH shall not be INNOCENT. 21 To have respect of persons is not good: for for a PIECE OF BREAD that man will TRANSGRESS. 22 He that HASTETH to be RICH hath an EVIL eye, and considereth not that POVERTY shall come upon him. Proverbs 28:19-22. 

And with the experience of being told it was INTEREST-ONLY, she taught me to learn more on PRUDENCE — [the management of God’s given resources] — as a serious matter and good ‘FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE’ in the School of Life LESSONS. 
That is, not wanting to borrow for anything that doesn’t lead to MORE and far-reaching PRODUCTIVITY in terms of — innovating, creating and exploring — thereby earning far GREATER results, leading to an onward and upward trajectory in the grace. 

My wife’s action has broadened my horizon in terms of living far ABOVE the norms as may be applicable in many ways, especially in living in a developed world of capitalism, wherein there is indebtedness in society at large with no exception. 

And the wisdom to never again borrow from interest-only businesses in all settings; not even in Property Mortgages, or the Credit Card menace as dominant in the developed world, and which many other parts of the world are now embracing, despite the lessons learnt from the economic and financial meltdown of 2008 and other recessions that have emanated prior to and out of it, till the present day and time.[relative] 

However, thanks to my lovely wife and her school of ‘interest-only’ lesson — which my father in the Lord was right about eventually, from his own experience. It has made me wiser today than ever before.

It is a teaching, testimony and charge that calls Believers to steward TALENT, FINANCE, TIME, MATERIAL and PEOPLE with godly wisdom. Through personal experience, Scripture, and a marriage lesson on “INTEREST-ONLY” borrowing, it shows that PRUDENCE leads to FULFILMENT, not just SUCCESS, and protects us from waste, debt and ruin while positioning us for greater endowment and breakthrough in the grace.

  1. THE MARRIAGE LESSON: “INTEREST-ONLY” FINANCIAL WISDOM
  • “DON’T BORROW MONEY FROM YOUR WIFE” — In some contexts it becomes an INTEREST-ONLY BUSINESS TRANSACTION that NEVER ENDS while the marriage lasts. 
  • The lesson: What I call OURS, wife and children call THEIRS. 
  • The notepad of debt remained for years, and payments were counted as ‘INTEREST ONLY’. 
  • The purpose: To teach PRUDENCE and to live WITHIN YOUR OWN FAITH AND NOT SOMEONE ELSE’S FAITH — i.e. TILL [CULTIVATE] YOUR OWN LAND [OPPORTUNITY] [Proverbs 12:11; Proverbs 28:19-22]. 
  • “He that TILLETH HIS LAND shall be SATISFIED with BREAD… A FAITHFUL man shall ABOUND with BLESSINGS” [Proverbs 28:19-20]. 
  • “The JUST [RIGHTEOUS] shall LIVE by HIS FAITH” [Habakkuk 2:4].  
  1. FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE IN A CAPITALIST WORLD
  • Do not borrow for anything that does not lead to MORE and far-reaching PRODUCTIVITY — innovating, creating, exploring. 
  • Avoid interest-only businesses: Property Mortgages, Credit Card menace, and all debt traps dominant in the developed world and spreading globally since the 2008 meltdown. 
  • “He that MAKETH HASTE to be RICH shall not be INNOCENT… POVERTY shall come upon him” [Proverbs 28:20,22]. 
  • Living ABOVE the norms of societal indebtedness requires prudence.  
  1. THE OUTCOME OF PRUDENCE
  • PRUDENCE leads to FULFILMENT, which is far beyond mere SUCCESS. 
  • “Seest thou a man DILIGENT in his BUSINESS? he shall STAND before KINGS” [Proverbs 22:29]. 
  • “The PATH of the JUST (RIGHTEOUS) is as the SHINING LIGHT, that shineth more and more unto the PERFECT day” [Proverbs 4:18].

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. AUDIT YOUR 5 RESOURCES: TALENT, FINANCE, TIME, MATERIAL, PEOPLE. Manage them purposefully and meaningfully. Be PRINCIPLED, RESPONSIBLE, ACCOUNTABLE and DILIGENT. 
  2. PRACTISE FINANCIAL PRUDENCE: Live WITHIN your means. Do not borrow for consumption. Only borrow if it leads to PRODUCTIVITY, innovation and greater results. 
  3. TILL YOUR OWN LAND: Cultivate your own opportunity. Do not depend on someone else’s faith or resources. “Whatever happens without a process is a scam and a fraud.” 
  4. LEARN FROM SCRIPTURE AND EXAMPLES: Be like Jesus who gathered fragments. Avoid the Prodigal path. Foresee evil and hide yourself [Proverbs 22:3]. 
  5. BE FAITHFUL IN LITTLE: Stewardship opens doors to greater endowment from God [Matthew 25:21]. 
  6. SHARE AND REFLECT: Does anybody have such an “interest-only” experience? Pause, think, and apply the lesson. SELAH.
