THE AFD TEACHING MAGAZINE PUBLICATION: THE “ASSURED HOPE” IN CHRIST JESUS STEAD!
“God [in His eternal plan] chose to make known to them how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ IN and AMONG you, the HOPE and GUARANTEE of [realizing the] GLORY” Colossians 1:27/Amplified.
THE ACHIEVERS FAITH DIGEST [AFD] — JULY THEME TEACHING MAGAZINE PUBLICATION IS HERE AND READY FOR YOUR PERUSAL.
It is time to explore HOPE in hope for your today and tomorrow — virtue and glory, in grace, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.
Hope is a vital component of faith. In other words, faith is secured and assured when it works in the company of hope. Hope is the element that sets life’s goals, enabling faith to function effectively and efficiently.
Hope is a desire based on the promise of God, whether personified or generalised. This promise communicates the possibility of God’s blessing to the individual, family or nation, and it encourages the soul. If this seed is planted into the soil of the heart, and the soil is kept right, it will bring forth a harvest of faith. Bible hope is faith in seed form.
However, every human being has hope planted within them. That is why each day we all rise with the hope that something good will come our way, or happen to us. Hope, though, can be of a natural or a spiritual kind. The difference is that natural hope does not carry the eternal effect of spiritual hope, which is embedded in the reborn spirit of man. For the natural man cannot fathom the realm and sphere of the spiritual man.
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth [examines] all things, yet he himself is judged [examined] of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 2:14-16/Emphasis mine.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH READING FOR YOUR PERUSAL & PONDERING IN CONTEXT:
“If we who ARE [abiding] in Christ have HOPED only in this life [and this is all there is], then we are of all people most miserable and to be pitied” 1 Corinthians 15:19/Amplified.
“And now abide faith, HOPE, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love” 1 Corinthians 13:13.
“Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]” Hebrews 11:1/Amplified.
SUMMARY:
This July edition of THE ACHIEVERS FAITH DIGEST [AFD] is that HOPE in Christ is not wishful thinking, but a guaranteed, Spirit-empowered assurance that anchors faith for today and tomorrow.
KEY POINTS:
- CHRIST IS OUR ASSURED HOPE AND GLORY
From Colossians 1:27, the mystery is this: Christ IN and AMONG you — the HOPE and GUARANTEE of GLORY.
Hope is therefore not abstract. It is personified in Christ Himself. Because He is in the believer, the believer has a guaranteed expectation of God’s virtue and glory. This is “THE ASSURED HOPE IN CHRIST JESUS”.
- THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HOPE AND FAITH
Hope is a vital component of faith. Faith is secured and assured when it works together with hope.
Hope sets life’s goals. It enables faith to function effectively and efficiently.
Bible hope is faith in seed form. Hope is a desire based on the promise of God. When planted in the heart and the heart is kept right, it produces a harvest of faith.
Hebrews 11:1 defines it: Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
- NATURAL HOPE VERSUS SPIRITUAL HOPE
Every person has hope — we rise each day expecting something good. But there are two kinds of hope:
Natural hope — common to all men, but it has no eternal effect.
Spiritual hope — embedded in the reborn spirit of man through Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:14-16 explains the difference: the natural man cannot receive or discern the things of the Spirit, for they are spiritually discerned. Only the spiritual man, who has the mind of Christ, can grasp the realm of assured, eternal hope.
1 Corinthians 15:19 warns: if our hope is only for this life, we are most miserable.

IN ONE SENTENCE:
This AFD teaching calls believers to recognise that Christ Himself is our Assured Hope, and that when spiritual hope is planted in the heart it gives substance to faith, sets godly goals, and secures us in virtue and glory — far beyond natural expectation.
