THE THINK TANK – ON THE MONTH OF OCTOBER 

“Thou CROWNEST THE YEAR WITH THY GOODNESS; AND THY PATHS DROP FATNESS [ABUNDANCE] . . . “ Psalms 65:11-13. 

The month of OCTOBER is the tenth month of the Julian and Gregorian Calendars. 
What then is so special about the tenth month that is WORTH pondering and considering in life matters? 

I say this because I have seen posts and statements of some indicating ‘DOOM AND GLOOM’ in the name of “MBER” months, of which the month of OCTOBER is a part. Some posts, comments and statements are also directed toward the year ending. 
I sense all these are probably because of events that have happened to these individuals personally, or the general feeling of the environment, especially economically at the moment, or a cast of fear to make or break into the unexpected before the end of the year, or something else best known to the respective persons. 

However, herein are a few thoughts [not mine] that I want you to look into and make a meaningful note for yourself in this write-up: 

1.  What is the SIGNIFICANCE of the number 10 in the metric system? 
   In the metric system of measurement, designations of multiples and subdivisions of any unit may be arrived at by combining with the name of the unit the prefixes deka, hecto, and kilo — otherwise, 10, 100, and 1000 — and deci, centi, and milli — otherwise, one-tenth, one-hundredth, and one-thousandth, and so forth.
2. What is SPECIAL about the number 10? 
   The number 10 is an even natural number following 9 and preceding 11. Ten is the base of the decimal numeral system, by far the most common system of denoting numbers in both spoken and written language. The reason for the choice of ten is assumed to be that humans have ten fingers and toes. 
    The number 10 is known as a symbol of the authority of God and His government on the earth. This number can also symbolise responsibility, law and completeness. Actually, the number 10 is considered to be the symbol of obedience and responsibility of people towards God’s law. Remember the Ten Commandments!
3. What does the number 10 mean in BIBLICAL NUMEROLOGY? 
   The number 10 in the Bible is a symbol of perfection, harmony and creation. This number is one of the most powerful and most widely spread, as well as 3, 7 and 12. It is also a number of integration, discipline, laws and wholeness. The phrase “God said” is repeated 10 times in Genesis.
4. Does the BIBLE say to give 10 of your income? 
   A tithe is 10% of your income given specifically to your local church. [Fun fact: The word tithe literally means tenth in Hebrew]. So, Scripture explains that: [1] tithing is an important part of faith for those who follow God and [2] your tithe should be money you set aside first.
5. What does the number 10 mean in HEBREW? 
   The number 10 is the gematria of the Hebrew letter י Yodh, or in Yiddish: ‘Yud‘ stands for ‘Jew‘. It is therefore linked to the Tetragrammaton. The Ten Commandments [עשרת הדברות, Aseret HaDibrot, literally “Ten Utterances”]. The Ten Plagues of Egypt. 

These essences above, and such like that are not mentioned in my summary, indicate that the number 10 and the tenth month, OCTOBER, mean that your DAYS, MONTHS and YEARS are crowned by God for your GOODNESS and ABUNDANCE in His BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

And there is NO room for you to REGRET at all by ANY of the DAYS and or MONTHS and or YEARS, no matter the event or circumstances that have befallen or that are before you presently in matters of doing LIFE and GODLY LIVING. 

The DAYS, MONTHS and YEARS are God-MADE in the context of the scriptures: Psalm 65:11-13; Psalm 118:24; Ecclesiastes 3:11 respectively. 

You should arise in your FAITH in Christ Jesus’ stead, to BEAUTIFY and LOVELILY COLOUR your WORLDS — signifying your person, family, finance, career, relationship and such like — in the FAITH of God in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

That is how you BECOME not only THE DIFFERENCE but MAKE THE DIFFERENCE as the NEW CREATION AMBASSADOR of Christ Jesus — 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Galatians 6:14-15. 

There are TWELVE months in a year, and God has not only crowned the months, but has made each MONTH to be FRUITFUL. That is to say, that you can THRIVE and be PRODUCTIVE after its kind for the good and goodness of you, the nation — for you and your family are God’s nation, as God told Abraham in the Holy Scriptures: Genesis 12:1-3. And of fruitfulness and abundance: Ezekiel 47:12; Revelation 22:1-2. 

Be blessed, and in the grace of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“Thou CROWNEST THE YEAR WITH THY GOODNESS; AND THY PATHS DROP FATNESS (ABUNDANCE). 12 They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. 13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing” Psalms 65:11-13 (Emphasis Mine). 

“This is THE DAY which the Lord hath MADE; we will rejoice and be glad in it” Psalms 118:24. 

“And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: IT SHALL BRING FORTH NEW FRUIT ACCORDING TO HIS MONTHS, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, AND THE LEAF THEREOF FOR MEDICINE” Ezekiel 47:12. 

“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare TWELVE manner of fruits, and YIELDED her fruit EVERY MONTH: and the LEAVES OF THE TREE were for the HEALING OF THE NATIONS” Revelation 22:1-2. 

“He has MADE EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL and APPROPRIATE IN ITS TIME. He has also planted ETERNITY [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end” Ecclesiastes 3:11 Amplified. 

SUMMARY: 

The message is a charge for the month of OCTOBER — the TENTH MONTH — declaring that your DAYS, MONTHS and YEARS are CROWNED by God for GOODNESS and ABUNDANCE, and there is no room for DOOM, GLOOM or REGRET because the number 10 signifies God’s authority, law, completeness and blessing. 

KEY POINTS 

1. THE CONTEXT: REJECTING “MBER” FEAR 
   Many posts speak of ‘DOOM AND GLOOM’ around the “MBER” months and the year ending, due to personal events, economic pressure, or fear. 
   The message counters this: OCTOBER, the 10th month, is not a month of fear but a month to ponder God’s goodness — Psalm 65:11-13.

3. THE PROPHETIC APPLICATION TO OCTOBER 
   Because 10 speaks of God’s crown, law and completeness, the tenth month OCTOBER means your DAYS, MONTHS and YEARS are crowned by God for GOODNESS and ABUNDANCE in Christ Jesus’ stead.

4. NO ROOM FOR REGRET 
   Days, months and years are God-MADE — Psalm 118:24; Ecclesiastes 3:11. 
   Therefore, no matter what has happened or is before you, there is NO room to regret. God makes everything beautiful in its time.
5. THE CALL TO FRUITFULNESS AND IMPACT 
   There are 12 months, and God has made each month FRUITFUL. You are to THRIVE and be PRODUCTIVE — like trees in Ezekiel 47:12 and Revelation 22:1-2 that yield fruit every month and leaves for healing of the nations. 
   As a NEW CREATION AMBASSADOR — 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Galatians 6:14-15 — you are to BEAUTIFY and COLOUR your WORLDS: person, family, finance, career. You and your family are God’s nation as promised to Abraham — Genesis 12:1-3. You are to BE THE DIFFERENCE and MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. 

CALL TO ACTION 

1. REJECT FEAR, EMBRACE THE CROWN. 
   Refuse the “doom and gloom” narrative of MBER months. Declare: This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice in it — Psalm 118:24. 
2. PONDER THE MEANING OF 10. 
   Meditate on authority, law, obedience and completeness. Align your life to God’s Word and government this month. 
3. HONOUR GOD FIRST. 
   Practice the principle of the tithe — giving your first 10% to God. It positions you for His crown of goodness and abundance.
4. ARISE IN FAITH TO BEAUTIFY YOUR WORLD. 
   Speak, plan and act in faith to colour your person, family, finance and career with God’s goodness. You are a New Creation Ambassador. 
5. THRIVE AND BE FRUITFUL AFTER YOUR KIND. 
   Like the trees in Ezekiel and Revelation, yield fruit every month. Let your life bring healing and provision to your nation and generation.
