THE BLESSEDNESS OF GOD

THE BLESSEDNESS OF GOD: IT’S THE GIVEN AND ENTRUSTED ENABLING OF GRACE – MADE AVAILABLE TO ENRICH YOU IN CHRIST JESUS’ STEAD! 

“THE BLESSING of the Lord BRINGS [TRUE] RICHES, and He ADDS NO SORROW to it [for it comes as a BLESSING from God]” Proverbs 10:22/Amplified. 

” . . . 3 BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HAS BLESSED US with every spiritual BLESSING in the heavenly PLACES in Christ . . .” Ephesians 1:1-12/NKJV. 

It’s high time to HARNESS in grace by faith, your FAITH walk with God in Christ Jesus’ stead, to live unhindered in the ABOVE ONLY realms of doing life and living godly. The BLESSEDNESS of God is a GIVEN and is ENTRUSTED to all that are born of God in Christ Jesus’ stead; and it’s AVAILABLE to all to enact and authenticate with no personal or group limitations; it’s without sentiments, prejudice and dissimulation (hypocrisy) as it’s of our redemption deeds of rights and privileges in the Kingdom for the kingdom cause of our God. 

“Opening his mouth, Peter said: “Most certainly I understand now that God is NOT one to SHOW partiality [to people as though Gentiles were excluded from God’s BLESSING], 35 but in EVERY NATION the person who fears God and does what is right [by seeking Him] is ACCEPTABLE and WELCOMED by Him” Acts 10:34-35/Amplified. 

And our God of promise and provider is faithful, true, sure, trustworthy and committed to ensure your rights and privileges in Him are not denied by any factors, be it – human placement, geographical location, tongue, tribes and gender, etc. For His BLESSEDNESS is unto all who call upon His name and are always in the YES and AMEN, without a doubt and no to His WORD. 

“But as God is FAITHFUL, our word to you was not YES and NO. 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was PREACHED among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was NOT YES and NO, but in Him was YES. 20 For all the PROMISES of God in Him are YES, and in Him AMEN, to the glory of God through us. 21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, 22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee” 2 Corinthians 1:18-22/NKJV. 

“FAITHFUL and absolutely TRUSTWORTHY is He who is CALLING you [to Himself for your salvation], and He will DO it [He will FULFILL His call by making you holy, guarding you, watching over you, and protecting you as His own]” 1 Thessalonians 5:24/Amplified. 

“And they sung a NEW song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast REDEEMED US to God by thy blood out of every KINDRED, and TONGUE, and PEOPLE, and NATION; 10 and hast MADE US unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth” Revelation 5:9-10. 

“Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall RECEIVE the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the PROMISE is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, EVEN AS MANY AS the Lord our God shall CALL” Acts 2:38-39. 

And the BLESSEDNESS of God is given and entrusted to all, and it’s available to you today for an onward and upward trajectory in Christ Jesus’ stead. And it’s for the following reasons but not limited for you to enact and authenticate in grace by faith. Here are some reasons for this given, entrusted and available BLESSEDNESS of God: 

  •  That you have in all sufficiency and abundance for yourself – wanting nothing – thereby giving God thanks in Christ Jesus. [Philippians 4:17, 19; Ephesians 1:3; 2 Corinthians 8:9/(NIV/LB); John 10:10; 3 John 2]. 
  •  That the Gospel might advance in grace, and the enemy and cohorts kept at bay without limitations. [Luke 8:1-3; Zechariah 1:17; Haggai 2:6-9]. 
  •  That you have plenty, enough, and leftovers to give to others in great needs without murmuring, withholding, or complaining. [Galatians 6:1-9; Hebrews 6:9-12. Luke 6:38]. 
  •  To make you, the saints in Christ Jesus, to abide in the FAITH – for poverty takes and sway people away from the FAITH. Especially in their seeking answers to basic necessities of life and more, they thereby fall prey of ungodly, evil and dubious ways to prosper and achieve the desired needs and greatness. [Psalms 23:6; John 15:4-8; Psalms 112:1-3]. 
  •  To help cleanse the Church of evil and wickedness and such like; POVERTY itself and POVERTY mentality lead to stealing, robbery, bribery, etc. [Proverbs 30:7-9; Psalms 112:3; Psalms 89:20-29, 34]. 
  •  To keep and ESTABLISH the righteous in DOMINION – as overcomers, victorious, triumphant and more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus’ stead. [Ecclesiastes 9:13-18; Ecclesiastes 7:12].  
  •  To establish, enact and authenticate His covenant as promised in Christ Jesus. [Deuteronomy 8:18; Psalms 89:34; Galatians 3:13-14, 26-29; Jeremiah 33:20-21, 25-26; James 1:17]. 

These and many, as may be revealed to you by the Holy Spirit within, indicate God’s graciousness and gracefulness in Christ Jesus  – to see you do life and live godly in righteousness, in the kingdom, on this side of the heavenly in our earthly temporary domain. The whole concept is the essence of you knowing and understanding your RIGHTS and PRIVILEGES In REDEMPTION in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

Now that you know that the BLESSEDNESS of God is a GIVEN and ENTRUSTED, and also AVAILABLE for you in grace, what manner of person OUGHT you to become in your path of doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus’ stead? This is to help you to be fulfilled meaningfully the purposefully while you are ENDOWED and ENTRUSTED with God’s BLESSEDNESS.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“Even as Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was ACCOUNTED to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, FORESEEING that God would JUSTIFY the heathen through faith, PREACHED before the GOSPEL unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall ALL NATIONS be BLESSED. 9 So then they which be of FAITH ARE BLESSED with FAITHFUL Abraham . . . 13 Christ hath REDEEMED US from the curse of the law, being MADE a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 that THE BLESSING of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might RECEIVE THE PROMISE of the Spirit through faith . . . 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is NEITHER Jew nor Greek, there is NEITHER bond nor free, there is NEITHER male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and HEIRS according to the PROMISE” Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29. 

“Let us HOLD FAST the profession of our faith without wavering; FOR HE IS FAITHFUL THAT PROMISED” Hebrews 10:23. 

“God is FAITHFUL, by whom ye were CALLED unto the FELLOWSHIP of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” 1 Corinthians 1:9.

“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have OBTAINED LIKE PRECIOUS FAITH with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 according as his DIVINE POWER hath GIVEN UNTO US ALL THINGS THAT PERTAIN UNTO LIFE AND GODLINESS, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 whereby are given unto us EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES: that by these ye might be PARTAKERS of the DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” 2 Peter 1:1-4. 

SUMMARY: 

The message emphasises the BLESSEDNESS OF GOD, highlighting that it’s a GIVEN and ENTRUSTED enabling of GRACE, made available to enrich believers in Christ Jesus. This blessedness is for all born of God, available to enact and authenticate in grace by faith, without limitations or partiality.

  • God’s blessedness fuels an onward and upward trajectory in life (Proverbs 10:22, Ephesians 1:1-12).

THE CHARISMATIC GIFTS

THE CHARISMATIC GIFTS: THESE GIFTS ARE GIVEN TO EDIFY [BUILD UP, MATURE, COMPLETE AND PROFIT] ALL IN THEIR RESPECTIVE CALLINGS AND SKILLS/TALENTS [ABILITY]! 

“There are DIVERSITIES OF GIFTS, but the same Spirit. 5 There are DIFFERENCES OF MINISTRIES, but the same Lord. 6 And there are DIVERSITIES OF ACTIVITIES, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the MANIFESTATION of the Spirit is GIVEN TO EACH ONE FOR THE PROFIT OF ALL” 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 NKJV. 

About a week ago, I went out to get a replacement pressing Iron for the house while on my way to doing the day’s schedule and activities. My natural instinct was to go to the same shopping centre where we bought the last one, knowing it was good and had lasted in use for a while. And as I drove into the parking lot of the shopping mall, I heard a voice within me – the Holy Spirit saying I should check the MOBILE APP of another shop in another shopping centre location, which wasn’t part of my plan. 

So, I checked the MOBILE APP like I was instructed, to see the kind of the pressing Iron I intended. And when I did, I went into the shopping mall I’d just parked at, with the MOBILE APP was still active on my phone to compare. To my awesome surprise – lo and behold – the exact pressing Iron was there on App. But there was a problem – 10% difference in the prices and the warranty terms differed compared to the shop the Holy Spirit told me to check while I was in the parking lot. 

And since prudence is the scriptural essence, I left for the shopping mall of the MOBILE APP like I was informed and instructed by the Holy Spirit while at the parking lot –  for the price difference and better warranty too. I found PEACE in that obedience and SAVINGS in cost of buying plus ASSURANCE of the needed warranty for my purchase. The essence of the CHARISMATIC GIFTS in us is at WORK within me, leading and guiding as in our REDEMPTION bill of rights and privileges in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. The essence is just about living and doing life by OBEYING THE INSTRUCTIONS of the Holy Spirit as given through the CHARISMATIC GIFTS within you, which are of Him as written in the Holy Writ of 1 John 2:20, 27. 

“But ye have an UNCTION from the Holy One, and ye know all things . . . 27 But the ANOINTING which ye have RECEIVED of him ABIDETH in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the SAME ANOINTING TEACHETH you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him” 1 John 2:20, 27 

Why is the story of the pressing Iron important? Does it matter? Won’t common sense tell me I should have done that check earlier, anyway, before leaving home? Whatever, what’s important in the whole sum: there’s an answer in ESSENCE to any of our situation and circumstances. It indicates that no matter the circumstances we find ourselves in – knowingly or unknowingly – the PRESENCE of the CHARISMATIC GIFTS of the Holy Spirit within us WORKS.  And that PRESENCE in our Christian life is to help build up, complete, and mature our triune being in every way and everywhere. While we make daily decisions in our callings, skills/talents [ability], in fulfilling purpose, while doing LIFE and LIVING GODLY in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

When you get BORN AGAIN (giving your whole being to believe in God through the redemption act of Christ Jesus as your Saviour and Lord) and be BAPTISED with the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit in essence comes along with His CHARISMATIC GIFTS to dwell in you – to help build you up, complete you, and mature your wellbeing in humanity. In respect of doing live and living godly through any and all of these (but not limited to): 

  1. Your Spiritual CALLINGS (Ministerial/Others) – Romans 8:28-30, 1 Corinthians 1:9; Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:27-30; Ephesians 4:11. Numbers 11:24-30; 1 John 2:20, 27.
  2. Your Human SKILLS/TALENTS (ABILITY) – Daniel 1:17; Ecclesiastes 9:11; 2 Chronicles 34:12; 2 Chronicles 2:7-8; Nehemiah 5:8; Proverbs 18:15-16; 1 John 2:20, 27. 

Just for clarification, each and every one of the believing ones in Christ Jesus is given the charismatic gifts by THE MEASURE of God’s grace and not by A MEASURE, according to the given callings and skills/talent (ability) that we are respectively involved in our doing life and godliness. Romans 12:3; Ephesians 4:7; 1 John 2:20, 27. It thus means you have all it takes within you by the Holy Spirit to do life and live godly unlimitedly, except you chose to frustrate such endowed grace that’s given to you to be built up and mature in humanity like some who misuses their opportunities for righteous cause – Galatians 2:21; Romans 1:18. 

“I do not FRUSTRATE (SET ASIDE) the GRACE of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain” Galatians 2:21 Emphasis Mine. 

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who SUPPRESS the TRUTH in unrighteousness” Romans 1:18 NKJV  

Now, know that when Christ Jesus led CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE in His ascending to the heavenly, in the CAUSE of our REDEMPTION, He RECEIVED gifts and GAVE these gifts to us (as explained in some of my past posts). Psalms 68:18; Ephesians 4:8-10; Revelation 12:9-12. One aspect of the GIFT is the gift of the comforter, teacher, helper and more – the blessed Holy Spirit – Ephesians 1 :11-14; John 14:15-17, 26; Luke 24:49; Joel 2:28-32; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-20; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:1-7; Romans 8:26-27. And the Holy Spirit comes with the CHARISMATIC GIFTS (which could be called SPIRITUAL GIFTS). I used the CHARISMATIC GIFTS to differentiate because everything God gave us in Christ Jesus comes spiritual, which by our act of FAITH in obedience to such gifts, are then made physical – tangible, touchable, and reachable. Ephesians 1:3, 20; Ephesians 2:6; Proverbs 10:22. 

CHARISMA could be defined as the ability or synergy within that gives one the enabling to attract, charm, boost, and influence others towards a given driven CAUSE – Plan, Purpose and Pursuit. CHARISMA is often said to be a mysterious ineffable quality, you either have it or don’t have it, but however everyone needs it to do life in their CALLINGS and Talent to be fulfilled in God. For the term charisma (/kəˈrɪzmə/; pl. charismata, adj. charismatic) has two senses: COMPELLING ATTRACTIVENESS or charm that can inspire devotion in others; also, a DIVINELY CONFERRED power or talent to make you be what you want to be in LIFE and GODLINESS. And all these by the Holy Spirit through the WORD makes one to be fulfilled meaningfully in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

The Holy Spirit is the personality that ENABLES God’s GRACE to activate a genuine CHARISMA and CHARACTER. Therefore, to ensure a genuine CHARISMA and CHARACTER in life and godliness, you need to be BUILT UP by the Holy Spirit in the WORD of God as it’s written: 

“But you, beloved, BUILD yourselves UP on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an EDIFICE higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit, 21 and keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously and looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ [which will bring you] to eternal life” Jude 1:20-21 (Amplified). 

And for BELIEVERS in Christ, our CHARISMATIC or CHARISMA life which is as a result of SPIRITUAL GIFTS (endowment) cum TALENTS is sustained in grace by the SPIRITUAL FRUIT (Character) of the Holy Spirit. It must be noted that the sustainability of your CHARISMA or CHARISMATIC life is by the CHARACTER you exhibit in and through it. Otherwise it becomes a CARICATURE in every respect of manifestation and operations. These spiritual fruit that formulates one’s character to uphold integrity and etiquette of one’s charisma or charismatic gifts and acts are (but not limited to) as in these Scriptures: Galatians 5:22-23; 2 Peter 1:5-8; Philippians 4:8. 

There are nine (9) major charismatic gifts given to us to be BUILT UP and MATURED to HELP us live in the realm of being ABOVE ONLY, meaning, from the ordinary common realm in cause of doing life and living godly. So, believers have no excuse of living a limited life by any measure or be subjected or controlled or dominated by any as a helpless one. Each is to use the charismatic gifts to PROFIT and EDIFY – BUILD UP – and MATURE each other in Christ Jesus, not the other way round like we see some today: ROBBING, CONTROLLING, SUBJECTING, DOMINEERING OTHERS, (vulnerable ones) by their CHARISMATIC GIFTS; while OTHERS use theirs to create SCHISM – DIVISION, CONTENTION, ENVY, STRIFE, etc, in the local and collective BODY MINISTRY of Christ Jesus – Philippians 1:15-18; 1 Corinthians 1:10-17; 1 Corinthians 14:12, 26, 33; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27. And for such that cause schisms, contentions, disorders, etc, you need to  keep away and at bay, as Apostle Paul warns too – Romans 16:17-18; Timothy 1:18-20; 1 Corinthians 11:17-19; 1 Corinthians 3:2-9; 1 Corinthians 1:10-17. 

However, these NINE (9) CHARISMATIC GIFTS can be classified in this context of 1 Corinthians 12:9-11 in this principle: 

  1.  The REVELATION Gifts – The gifts that REVEALS things: THE WORD OF WISDOM; THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE; THE DISCERNING OF SPIRITS.
  2. The POWER Gifts – The gifts that DOES things: THE GIFT OF FAITH; THE WORKING OF MIRACLES; THE GIFTS OF HEALINGS.
  3. The INSPIRATIONAL Gifts – The gifts that INSPIRE things: THE GIFT OF PROPHECY, THE INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES; THE DIVERSE (DIFFERENT) KINDS OF TONGUES. 

Each of the above gifts is given to everyone severally by the Holy Spirit as one earnestly desire their PRESENCE in one’s work and walk with God in Christ Jesus’ stead. Whether it’s ministerial calling, business/entrepreneurship, family, marital and friendship relationships, career pursuit, leadership and governance at any level, creativity, innovation, exploring, etc, the CHARISMATIC GIFTS are here for your wellbeing to grow, thrive, and be fulfilled meaningfully. 1 Corinthians 12: 1; 1 Corinthians 14:12, 39-40. 

I pray that you find the reason not to depend on yourself, but on the Holy Spirit of promise, that He might give you the needed CHARISMATIC GIFTS, in order to fulfil PURPOSE, in LIFE and GODLY LIVING, in God’s BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast RECEIVED GIFTS FOR MEN; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them” Psalms 68:18. 

“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast REDEEMED US to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 and hast MADE US unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth . . . 12 saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was SLAIN TO RECEIVE power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing” Revelation 5:9-12. 

“But unto EVERY ONE OF US IS GIVEN GRACE according to THE MEASURE of the gift of Christ. 8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and GAVE GIFTS UNTO MEN. 9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)” Ephesians 4:7-10. 

“As for these four children, God GAVE them knowledge and SKILL in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams” Daniel 1:17. 

“For I say, through THE GRACE GIVEN unto me, to EVERY MAN that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man THE MEASURE of faith” Romans 12:3. 

“Now concerning SPIRITUAL GIFTS, brethren, I do not want you to be IGNORANT: 2 You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. 4 There are DIVERSITIES OF GIFTS, but the same Spirit. 5 There are DIFFERENCES OF MINISTRIES, but the same Lord. 6 And there are DIVERSITIES OF ACTIVITIES, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is GIVEN to each one FOR THE PROFIT OF ALL: 8 for to one is given THE WORD OF WISDOM through the Spirit, to another THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE through the same Spirit, 9 to another FAITH by the same Spirit, to another GIFTS OF HEALINGS by the same Spirit, 10 to another THE WORKING OF MIRACLES, to another PROPHECY, to another DISCERNING OF SPIRITS, to another DIFFERENT KINDS OF TONGUES, to another the INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES. 11 But one and the SAME SPIRIT WORKS ALL THESE THINGS, distributing to each one individually as He wills”
