IN THIS ENVIABLE SMART GENERATION: BE LED OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN ALL YOU DO! 

“. . . 14 For as many as ARE LED by the Spirit of God, they ARE the sons of God . . .” Romans 8:9-16. 

We live in an enviable, smart generation; it is a gracious and graceful place to be. And to triumphantly live and thrive meaningfully and purposefully, one needs to be watchful and connected. 

And to be connected to the One who is able to HELP us to stay ABOVE ONLY in the midst of all the NOISE around us — that Person to help us is the BLESSED Holy Spirit. 

And by being LED of the Holy Spirit in ALL you do, you can both please Father God and live faithfully on His merit on earth in this seamless, smart and digitised generation. 

“Likewise the Spirit also HELPETH our infirmities: for we know not what we should PRAY for as we OUGHT: but the Spirit itself maketh INTERCESSION for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And He that SEARCHETH the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God” Romans 8:26-27. 

Do not be DECEIVED by anyone, nor be mistaken by self-errors. It is time for you to exercise yourself into the realm of VICTORY, TRIUMPH, OVERCOMER, MORE THAN CONQUERORS by engaging yourself with the TIMELESS SCRIPTURAL TRUTH called the HOLY BIBLE. 

You need to READ and STUDY and SEARCH the SCRIPTURES for self-discovery that will give and lead you into self-recovery in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

If I may ask you today, HOW MUCH ARE YOU READING and STUDYING and SEARCHING THE WORD in context and in comparison to your WATCHING AND VIEWING of photos and videos on social media platforms and the like? 

Today, we are carried away with images, photos and videos, which most times may be photoshopped, disfigured, distorted, dotted, adulterated and twisted by the creators of such, while many buy into them, analyse them and transmit them as baseless information to vulnerable hearts. 

You need to be very careful, vigilant and swiftly alert these days; and even more, be LED of the Holy Spirit through the WORD of God if you want the best and the FULLNESS of our God in this challenging but enviable generation. 

” Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be ALERT, VIGILANT and CAUTIOUS at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, PROWLS around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking SOMEONE to devour. 9 But RESIST him, be firm and steadfast in your faith [against his attack—rooted, established, immovable], knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being experienced by your brothers and sisters throughout the world. [You do not suffer alone.] 10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be]. 11 To Him be dominion (power, authority, sovereignty) forever and ever. Amen” 1 Peter 5:8-11/Amplified. 

It is through the TIMELESS SCRIPTURAL WORD that is BREATHED by the Holy Spirit that we can do life and live godly in this TIMED GENERATION, in spite of all the awesome happenings in it. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“STUDY TO SHEW THYSELF APPROVED UNTO GOD, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” 2 Timothy 2:15. 

“But CONTINUE thou in the things which thou hast LEARNED and hast been ASSURED of, knowing of whom thou hast LEARNED them; 15 and that from a child thou hast known the HOLY SCRIPTURES, which are ABLE to MAKE thee WISE unto salvation through FAITH which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All SCRIPTURE is GIVEN by INSPIRATION of God, and is PROFITABLE for DOCTRINE, for REPROOF, for CORRECTION, for INSTRUCTION in RIGHTEOUSNESS: 17 that the man of God may be PERFECT, throughly FURNISHED unto all GOOD works” 2 Timothy 2:14-17. 

“Till I come, GIVE ATTENDANCE TO READING, to exhortation, to doctrine” 1 Timothy 4:13.

“If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may ABIDE with you for ever; 17 even the Spirit of TRUTH; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye KNOW him; for he dwelleth WITH you, and shall be IN you” John 14:15-17 (John 15:26). 

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will GUIDE you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will SHEW you things to come. 14 He shall GLORIFY me: for he shall RECEIVE of mine, and shall SHEW it unto you” John 16:13-14. 

“Now THANKS be unto God, which ALWAYS causeth us to TRIUMPH in Christ, and maketh MANIFEST the savour of his knowledge by us in EVERY PLACE” 2 Corinthians 2:14. 

“But THANKS be to God, which GIVETH us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Corinthians 15:57. 

“Nay, in all these things WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him that LOVED us” Romans 8:37 (35-39). 

“For this is the LOVE of God, that we KEEP his COMMANDMENTS: and his COMMANDMENTS are not GRIEVOUS (IRKSOME, BURDENSOME, GRIVIOUS, TASKMASTER). 4 For whatsoever is born of God OVERCOMETH the world: and this is the VICTORY that OVERCOMETH the world, even our FAITH. 5 Who is he that OVERCOMETH the world, but he that BELIEVETH that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:3-5.

It warns against deception, distraction and self-error, and calls every Believer to stay WATCHFUL, CONNECTED and ABOVE ONLY through the Holy Spirit and the Bible, so we can triumph, overcome and fulfil God’s purpose in a noisy, digitised world.

• We live in a gracious, graceful, smart and digitised generation. To thrive meaningfully and purposefully, we must be watchful and connected.

• Victory comes by engaging with the HOLY BIBLE — READ, STUDY and SEARCH the SCRIPTURES. 

• “STUDY TO SHEW THYSELF APPROVED UNTO GOD” [2 Timothy 2:15]. The WORD is BREATHED by the Holy Spirit and is PROFITABLE for DOCTRINE, REPROOF, CORRECTION, INSTRUCTION [2 Timothy 3:16]. 

• It is through the TIMELESS SCRIPTURAL WORD that we can do life and live godly in this TIMED GENERATION.

4. THE RESULT: VICTORY, TRIUMPH AND OVERCOMING

• As we are LED by the Spirit and rooted in the WORD, we enter the realm of VICTORY, TRIUMPH, OVERCOMER, MORE THAN CONQUERORS [Romans 8:37]. 

• “Thanks be to God, which GIVETH us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ” [1 Corinthians 15:57]. 

• “For whatsoever is born of God OVERCOMETH the world: and this is the VICTORY that OVERCOMETH the world, even our FAITH” [1 John 5:4].

5. THE WALK: SPIRIT AND WORD TOGETHER

• “WALK in the Spirit, and you shall not FULFIL the lust of the flesh” [Galatians 5:16]. 

• “If ye love me, keep my commandments… I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter” [John 14:15-16]. 

• The Spirit and the WORD work together to keep us, strengthen us, and establish us [1 Peter 5:10]. 

CALL TO ACTION 

1. CHOOSE TO BE LED DAILY: Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in ALL you do. Do not walk by noise, trends or self-will. Walk by the Spirit [Galatians 5:25].
2. RETURN TO THE WORD: Prioritise READING, STUDYING and SEARCHING the SCRIPTURES above WATCHING AND VIEWING social media. “GIVE ATTENDANCE TO READING” [1 Timothy 4:13]. Let the WORD bring self-discovery and self-recovery.
3. BE SOBER AND VIGILANT: Resist deception. Test every image, video and information. Be swift to discern and not transmit baseless things.
4. RESIST THE DEVIL, STAND FIRM: Be ALERT. When trials come, know you do not suffer alone. God will complete, confirm, strengthen and establish you [1 Peter 5:9-10].
5. LIVE AS MORE THAN A CONQUEROR: Declare daily: I am LED by the Spirit. I am VICTORIOUS. I am MORE THAN A CONQUEROR through Christ who LOVED me. Live to please Father God on His merit.
6. KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: Love is shown in obedience [1 John 5:3]. His commandments are not burdensome.
