THE DAWN MONTH TO AUGUST WITH – “THE NEW WINE FOR A NEW YOU! 

You are most WELCOME to the DAWN of our eighth [8] month, AUGUST – our NEW DAWN MONTH in God’s grace and BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

“In the BEGINNING God CREATED the heaven and the earth . . . 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was VERY GOOD. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day” Genesis 1:1, 31. 

“He has made EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL in its time. Also, He has put ETERNITY in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from BEGINNING to end” Ecclesiastes 3:11 NKJV. 

“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the SEVENTH DAY God ended his work which he had made; and he RESTED on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God BLESSED the seventh day and SANCTIFIED it: because that in it he had RESTED from all his work which God CREATED and MADE” Genesis 2:1-3. 

The Holy writ, the Book of beginnings in Genesis 1-2:3, records the wonderful acts of God in the creation of planet earth and all that is on the earth, as summed up in Psalms 24:1-2 and Acts 17:24-31. From scripture we see that by the sixth day God had CREATED all He intended to create, including man whom He also empowered to have dominion over all of creation; and on the SEVENTH day God RESTED to take pleasure in His creation, as declared in Revelation 4:11. 

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast CREATED all things, and for thy PLEASURE they ARE and WERE CREATED” Revelation 4:11. 

When God rested on the SEVENTH day, what then do you think happened on the next day – being the EIGHTH? I can tell you now what I believe, embrace and concluded: On the EIGHTH day, man’s NEW DAY DAWNED. It was born to begin, as God rested from His work of creation. Therefore, the EIGHTH day marked the beginning for man to take his stand in PRINCIPLE – with RESPONSIBILITY and ACCOUNTABILITY, in DILIGENCE and PRUDENCE -flowing from the REST of God, in order to find his own rest as he fulfils God’s purpose and assignment – Romans 8:28-30; Ephesians 1:11; Hebrews 4:8-11. Man’s NEW DAWN signifies a time to EXERCISE the eminent authority given and endowed to him – a power of attorney – to be fruitful and multiply, to replenish the earth, to subdue it and have dominion in it, and to live in majestic splendour, thrive in colour and grandeur Genesis 1:26-28. 

The EIGHTH day was a day of great INFLUENCE, AFFLUENCE and SIGNIFICANCE – a day of HONOUR and DIGNITY – for man, without regard to gender, to seize the chance and opportunity accorded by the uncreated Creator God to advance God’s purpose through “THE NEW WINE FOR A NEW YOU”. This is to meaningfully, responsibly and accountably carry out God’s order on earth and to fulfil the given purpose and assignment accordingly as instructed. It was a DAWN Day of becoming God’s REPRESENTATIVE and AMBASSADOR on earth – according to but not limited to, Psalms 115:16; Psalms 8:4-6; Isaiah 45:11-12; 2 Corinthians 5:20  

HEREIN NOW IS THE TRAJECTORY FOR THE NEW DAWN MONTH OF AUGUST:  

The dawn Month of AUGUST, being the eight month of the year, represents a NEW DAWN signifying a NEW BEGINNING. It is the eighth month in both the JULIAN and GREGORIAN calendars and one of the seven months that has 31. And the name AUGUST means to inspire REVERENCE, ADMIRATION, SUPREMACY, DIGNITY, GRANDEUR, HONOUR, MAJESTY, VENERABLE, EMINENCE AND LORDLINESS. Therefore, in line with the Month’s theme and in the context of AUGUST, having “THE NEW WINE FOR A NEW YOU” means that you are deemed to be DIGNIFIED, REVERED, ADMIRED, MAJESTIC, EMINENT, VENERABLE, HONOURED, GRAND – and all that AUGUST represents. 

Do you recall your first day of school, college, or university – that which you so desired, deserved and cherished? How well you PREPARED and DRESSED to AUGUST it? Or that desired, PRECIOUS and PRESTIGIOUS job – how you started it on a very good note, with a MAJESTIC entrance to show that you were present and capable to AUGUST it? Or that first or SPECIAL date with that special person – how you carried yourself with great value to AUGUST it? Or that lovely, sweet and gracious wedding and marriage of yours – how you ensured and assured yourself to own the day and to AUGUST it, so that it became the most talked-about day for of honourable union? And you were at the top of the note before all invited friends and family too? I could give you many more scenarios, but you have some and can testify to them – that grandeur display of yours to AUGUST in your presence, especially on your Birthday, when you took out time and resources to make it YOUR DAY. 

Now therefore, it’s time to SELAH – PAUSE and THINK – of any situations that you’ve dignified, accorded respect and honoured, though not mentioned here. That is what it means to AUGUST an occasion precisely and pricelessly – and the how and why to AUGUST this month of AUGUST, in DOING LIFE and LIVING GODLY. 

It is this act of AUGUSTING one’s life that made Apostle Paul say that he MAGNIFIED his MINISTERIAL OFFICE. He did so dearly and earnestly, that no man would disdain or take his calling and ministerial office and repute for granted. Meaning, he AUGUSTED the office of his CALLING with GRACIOUSNESSS and GRACEFULNESS – with such grace to ensure it was DIGNIFIED, REVERED, ADMIRED, MAJESTIC, EMINENT, VENERABLE, GRAND and all such like, as it is written: 

“For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I MAGNIFY MY MINISTRY, 14 if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them” Romans 11:13-14 NKJV. 

I can therefore conclude that the number EIGHT is the DAWN NUMBER of OPPORTUNITY and POSSIBILITY – to make a start and of a new day for man’s new beginning. When God rested and was delighted in His finished work, mankind began its representative and ambassadorial role in a great fashion – a chance and opportunity, polished and fashioned in the path of dignity and gracious display: to be revered, admired, majestic, eminent and venerable. 

You need to believe again in the you that is of Go d and in God – to live and reign dignified. This is the month of AUGUST – let us AUGUST it again with “THE NEW WINE FOR A NEW YOU” in God’s GRACE and BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen! 

I pray that as you journey through this month of AUGUST, being the eighth month of the year, it shall be the beginning of months for you. A month in which you will live and reign in the path of MAJESTY and DIGNITY, EMINENCE: be REVERED and ADMIRED, VENERABLE and LORDLY. May the Month of AUGUST be a month wherein all things that pertain to DOING LIFE and LIVING GODLY are under your control, as you reign in the path of DOMINION. May you spend time in God’s presence, that He might order your life to GREATNESS and PEACE, as it is written: 

“A GLORIOUS HIGH THRONE from the BEGINNING is the PLACE of our SANCTUARY (DWELLING)” Jeremiah 17:12. 

Unlike Adam, I pray that this honour of being justified by the deeds of Christ Jesus as in Romans 5:1-2, will cause your path to shine and shine brighter and brighter – cleaner and cleaner – until the full glow of you is shown, that all may see your great eminence in God; and then glorify our Father God, the Father of our saviour-King and Lord Jesus, whose presence is your source of life and grace. Amen! 

May this month of number EIGHT, being AUGUST, turn your shame to fame, your disdain to honour and glory, your failure to success, your setbacks to stepping stones, and your disappointment to appointment. May your present lamentable situation and  

circumstance become your positioning for greater heights in life and godliness. 

I pray that the good Lord will order your step, uphold you and help you to put on the same kind of spirit as that of Joseph of the twelve. He, after hearing that Pharaoh wanted him, did not go as he was – in disdain, sorrowful and in a battered prison uniform. Rather, he went to shave his beard, exchanged his prison clothes for a dignified robe, and assured himself in God that when he got to the palace of pharaoh – a place of honour, eminence and dignity to be revered – he would not return to prison again. And that eventually became his story. Even though he knew that he was in prison, he did not imprison himself as a prisoner. Meaning, the prison did not have hold of him, because the EMINENT ONE lives in him – who is our JEHOVAH-ADONAI. Genesis 41:12-16.  

Have a gracious and graceful month of AUGUST with – “THE NEW WINE FOR THE NEW YOU” – in God’s BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“And no one puts NEW WINE into OLD WINESKINS; or else the NEW WINE bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But NEW WINE must be put into NEW WINESKINS” Mark 2:22 NKJV. 

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is A NEW CREATION; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV 

“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but A NEW CREATION” Galatians 6:14-15 NKJV. 

“If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; 17 even the Spirit of truth; whom the WORLD CANNOT RECEIVE, because it seeth him not, neither KNOWETH him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth WITH you, and shall be IN you” John 14:15-17. 

“And WINE that maketh glad the heart of man, and OIL to make his face to shine, and BREAD which strengtheneth man’s heart” Psalms 104:15. 

“Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you CORN, and WINE, and OIL, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen . . . 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will POUR OUT MY SPIRIT upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I POUR OUT MY SPIRIT” Joel 2:19, 28-29. 

“And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 and both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted WINE, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have NO WINE. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. 6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, 10 and saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good WINE; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. 11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples BELIEVED on him” John 2:1-11. 

“And, behold, I send the PROMISE of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with POWER from on high” Luke 24:49. 

“For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence . . . 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” Acts 1:5, 8. 

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If Any Man Thirst, LET HIM COME UNTO ME, AND DRINK. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” John 7:37-39. 

“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilæans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? 9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judæa, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, 10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. 12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? 13 Others mocking said, These men are full of NEW WINE” Acts 2:1-21.

This is a prophetic charge and teaching welcoming people into AUGUST 2026 — the 8th month, framed as a “NEW DAWN MONTH” in God’s grace and BLESSEDNESS.

• AUGUST = 8th month in both JULIAN and GREGORIAN calendars. One of 7 months with 31 days. 

• Name “AUGUST” = to inspire REVERENCE, ADMIRATION, SUPREMACY, DIGNITY, GRANDEUR, HONOUR, MAJESTY, VENERATION, EMINENCE, LORDLINESS. 

• Therefore, to “AUGUST” something means to treat it with precision, value and honour. To AUGUST YOUR LIFE is to live dignified. 

• Example: Apostle Paul MAGNIFIED HIS MINISTRY — Romans 11:13-14 — he AUGUSTED his calling with GRACIOUSNESS so no one would disdain it. 

3. THE CENTRAL CHARGE: “THE NEW WINE FOR A NEW YOU”

August is the month to AUGUST IT AGAIN with “THE NEW WINE FOR A NEW YOU” in God’s GRACE. 
This means: 

Number EIGHT = DAWN NUMBER of OPPORTUNITY and POSSIBILITY for a new beginning. 

Believe again in the you that is of God and in God — to live and reign dignified. 

Expectation: Shame → Fame, Disdain → Honour, Failure → Success, Setbacks → Stepping stones, Disappointment → Appointment. 
Your present situation becomes your positioning for greater heights. 

4. THE JOSEPHPRINCIPLEILLUSTRATION 

Like Joseph in Genesis 41:12-16: 
Even in prison, he didn’t imprison himself. When Pharaoh called, he shaved, changed clothes, and entered the palace with dignity because “the EMINENT ONE lives in him — JEHOVAH-ADONAI.” 
We are called to carry that same spirit this month. 

5. THE PRAYER/DECLARATION FOR AUGUST

As we journey through this 8th month, it shall be a “beginning of months” for you. 
A month to: 

• Live and reign in MAJESTY, DIGNITY, EMINENCE 

• Be REVERED, ADMIRED, VENERABLE, LORDLY 

• Have all things pertaining to DOING LIFE and LIVING GODLY under your control 

• Spend time in God’s presence so He orders your life to GREATNESS and PEACE — Jeremiah 17:12 

• Have your path shine brighter and brighter because of justification in Christ — Romans 5:1-2

IN ONE SENTENCE: 

August is prophetically declared as the EIGHTH DAY / NEW DAWN where, from God’s rest, we are empowered by “THE NEW WINE FOR A NEW YOU” to AUGUST our lives — walking in dignity, dominion, and the Spirit, so that our lives reflect God’s glory and attract honour. 

Tone: Prophetic, instructive, celebratory, and highly declarative. It moves from Creation → Rest → New Beginning → Personal Application → Prayer.
