BEAUTIFY AND COLOUR YOUR WORLDS IN FAITH IN CHRIST: DO YOUR LIFE A FAVOUR BY BEAUTIFYING AND COLOURING YOUR ‘WORLDS’ THROUGH ACKNOWLEDGED FAITH! 

“He has made everything BEAUTIFUL [COLOURFUL] and APPROPRIATE in its time. He has also planted ETERNITY [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out [comprehend, grasp] what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end” Ecclesiastes 3:11/Amplified. 

You are the custodian of your happiness, joy, peace, dignity, honour and more. 

Stop looking for or pursuing your destiny as you may have been told. Your destiny is imbedded in you in Christ. You don’t have to run to get it or pursue after it. You ARE your destiny. 

The scriptures declare you’ve been predestined of God in Christ to succeed, thrive and be happy — Ephesians 1:3-11.  Meaning you’ve been predestined to succeed and achieve that excellence, success and goodness you have so madly and crazily desired to be. 

Your destiny is the you in you in Christ. Beautify and Colour it in Christ. 

I don’t know what your ‘worlds’ seem to be at this very moment. 
But one thing I do know is that you can create the atmosphere of the gracious ‘worlds’ you will love to live in daily. Your faith in God through His WORD and by the working power of the blessed Holy Spirit can make all the difference. 

Your intended worlds of excitement and rejuvenation — in respect to joy, peace, love, relationship, marriage, family, finance, career, ministry and more — are embedded in your FAITH in Christ. For God makes all things beautiful in His time. Ecclesiastes 3:11. You are a part of that beauty. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image and likeness as the scriptures do record about you and all. Psalms 139:14 

You can frame, colour your worlds today with the atmosphere you will really love to do life in. 

I pray God’s grace and blessings upon you as you remain steadfast in Faith to colour your worlds in Christ. For it’s your time to manifest the fragrance and aroma of grace through the acknowledging of every good thing DONE in you, DONE FOR you and being DONE THROUGH you in Christ. Philemon 1:6 

You are the reason why the earth was made and created — Live strong and live rejuvenated. 

God SHINES throw His Church – The PERFECTION of His Beauty. You are God’s Church – that He’s building.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHT WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. 2 Out of ZION, the PERFECTION of BEAUTY, God hath SHINED” Psalms 50:1-2 [Hebrews 12:22-24].

It teaches that your destiny is already imbedded in you in Christ. You don’t pursue it — you are it. By acknowledged faith, you are to frame, beautify and colour every area of your life because God has made everything beautiful in His time and has planted eternity in your heart. You are God’s Church, the perfection of His beauty, and your faith creates the atmosphere for joy, peace, success and purpose.

    Frame your ‘worlds’ with the atmosphere you love to live in. Use the Word, prayer, and the Holy Spirit to colour your life in faith.

    Speak it. Profess it. Confess it.
    Manifest the fragrance and aroma of grace by acknowledging what God has DONE in you, FOR you and THROUGH you. Philemon 1:6

DO YOUR LIFE A FAVOUR: “BEAUTIFY AND COLOUR YOUR WORLDS IN FAITH” IN CHRIST JESUS STEAD! 

“Therefore being JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have ACCESS BY FAITH into this GRACE wherein we STAND, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God“ Romans 5:1-2. 

It is a high-priced time to decorate, colour and beautify your worlds — family, career/skills, relationship with God and mankind, leadership, finance, ministry and the like — in the FAITH in which you STAND, in GRACE, in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

“That being JUSTIFIED by His GRACE, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life” Titus 3:7. 

You are the custodian of your happiness, joy, peace, dignity, honour and more. 
Stop looking for or pursuing your destiny as you may have been told. Your destiny is embedded and endowed in you in Christ as a default when you were saved, called, justified and glorified in fellowship with God in Christ Jesus — 1 Corinthians 1:9; Romans 8:28-30. You don’t have to run after anybody to get it or pursue it as in the Old Testament reliance on others to reach out to God for your enabling. 

YOU ARE YOUR DESTINY — it’s a default in you in Christ Jesus’ stead if you are born of God. John 3:3, 5, 16; 1 Peter 1:22-24. The scriptures declare you’ve been predestined of God in Christ to succeed, thrive and be happy — Ephesians 1:3-11; Romans 8:28-30. Meaning you’ve been PREDESTINED to succeed and achieve that excellence, success and goodness that you so madly and crazily desired to have and become in Christ Jesus. John 1:12. Your destiny is the you in you in Christ. Beautify and Colour it in Christ in FAITH.

It declares that your destiny is already in you through Christ, and this is the season to stop chasing, start standing in grace, and use your FAITH to DECORATE, COLOUR and BEAUTIFY your ‘worlds’ — family, career, finance, ministry and more — because you are God’s workmanship and the PERFECTION of His Beauty.

  1. STAND IN GRACE, NOT STRIVING
    Stop pursuing what is already yours in Christ. Rest in the finished work. You are justified, accepted, and predestined. Titus 3:7; Ephesians 1:6
  2. BEAUTIFY AND COLOUR YOUR WORLDS
    Take intentional action in FAITH. DECORATE, FRAME, COLOUR and BEAUTIFY your family, career, finance, health, ministry and relationships. Create the atmosphere you desire to live in daily.
  3. ACKNOWLEDGE CHRIST’S WORK IN YOU
    Daily profess and declare every good thing DONE in you, DONE FOR you and being DONE THROUGH you in Christ. Let your communication of faith become effectual. Philemon 1:6
  4. LIVE STRONG AND REJUVENATED
    You are the reason the earth was made. Manifest the aroma of grace. Walk as an OVERCOMER because YOUR FAITH IS THE VICTORY.

OCCUPY TILL I COME

OCCUPY TILL I COME: THE MASTER CHARGED UNTIL HE RETURNS! 

“And He CALLED His ten servants, and DELIVERED them ten pounds, and SAID unto them, OCCUPY TILL I COME” Luke 19:13. 

“So He CALLED ten of His servants, and GAVE them ten minas [one apiece, each equal to about a hundred days’ wages] and SAID to them, ‘DO BUSINESS [WITH THIS] UNTIL I RETURN” Luke 19:13/Amplified. 

“So He CALLED ten of His servants, DELIVERED to them ten minas, and SAID to them, ‘DO BUSINESS TILL I COME” Luke 19:13/NKJV. 

TO OCCUPY TILL I COME — otherwise put, TO DO KINGDOM BUSINESS — indicates a COMMAND, CHARGE, MANDATE, ASSIGNMENT and COMMISSION to be carried out. 

And it must be noted that the command, charge, assignment and commission of God in Christ Jesus to every Believer is not an advice at all. 

For God will only COMMEND what He COMMANDS. 
And His command is according to the BESTOWMENT of grace that He has given, poured out, showed and lavished upon a person or group of persons respectively. 

“And He said to them, How is it that you had to look for Me? Did you not see and know that it is necessary [as a DUTY] for Me to be in My Father’s HOUSE and [OCCUPIED] about My Father’s BUSINESS?” Luke 2:49/Amplified Classic Edition. 

For where there is God’s enabling POWER and such endowments of GRACE, therein is the PURPOSE for it. 

God does not give PURPOSE without enabling POWER, 
neither does He give enabling POWER without the PURPOSE for it to be accomplished meaningfully and graciously. 

“And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all FILLED with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke THE WORD of God with BOLDNESS . . . 33 And with GREAT POWER the apostles GAVE WITNESS to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And GREAT GRACE was upon them all” Acts 4:31, 33. 

“And we know that ALL THINGS work together for good to those who LOVE God, to those who are the CALLED according to His PURPOSE” Romans 8:28/NKJV. 

“In Him also we have OBTAINED an inheritance, being PREDESTINED according to the PURPOSE of Him who works all things according to the COUNSEL of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory” Ephesians 1:11-12. 

And God, in placing an order and demanding that any concept of a thing be done, means there is already a sufficient and sufficiency of the supply of enabling grace to do what it will take to make the demands fulfilled accordingly. 

God’s driven purpose in making us fulfil meaningfully the charge placed on us — “OCCUPY TILL I COME” — is that we might be able to enact who we ARE in Him. 
And that is: 

  • To be Earthly Useful and Heavenly Minded. 
  • To be More Than Conquerors. 
  • To Succeed, Triumph, be Victorious and have Dominion. 
  • To Thrive and be Colourful and not merely Survive. 
  • And to become COMPLETE and more, in our REDEMPTION rights and privileges in Christ Jesus. 

The wisdom for today concerning the essence above is this: 
Living a colourful and thriving life is gracious, graceful and lovely, but it is not a giveaway. Hence it is not cheap, and it is not for the lazy, the sluggard or idlers. 

Therefore there is the need to “OCCUPY TILL I COME” as mandated, charged, commissioned and commanded by our Saviour and Lord Christ Jesus, with God’s given basic RESOURCES for doing life, which are: 

  • Time 
  • Effort 
  • Finance 
  • Material 
  • People 

And ensuring that these named resources above are being fully and meaningfully utilised is vital. That means one must follow appropriately and uprightly the utilisation of them, for the reality and tangibility of the PLAN, PURPOSE and PURSUIT of the charged mandate — “OCCUPY TILL I COME.” 

And knowing that ‘You ARE of God’ and ‘You ARE BELOVED of God’ should make you steadily and readily able to succeed, triumph, win, overcome and be a victor in life and godliness while you — OCCUPY TILL HE COMES. 

And knowing that what makes a colourful and thriving life accessible, liveable, lovable, reachable and applicable is because the Greater One lives in you also. 

“You ARE of God, little children, and have OVERCOME them, because He who is IN you is GREATER than he who is IN the world. 5 They ARE of the world. Therefore they SPEAK as of the world, and the world HEARS them. 6 We ARE of God. He who KNOWS God HEARS us; he who is NOT of God DOES NOT HEAR us. By this we KNOW the spirit of TRUTH and the spirit of ERROR” 1 John 4:4-6/NKJV. 

Therefore, to ensure and enact the essence of the charge to “OCCUPY TILL I COME”, it is very much imperative that the God-given resources in Christ Jesus for us to do life and live godly become effectual. 
These are: TIME, EFFORT, FINANCE, MATERIAL and PEOPLE [PERSONNEL]. 

We must ensure that they count and account for our good and goodness, as given. 

Suffice it to know that in real-life definition, SUCCESS IS FAILURE TURNED INSIDE OUT — which is the result of one respecting the opportunity to diligently and prudently utilise one’s given resources in principle, responsibility and accountability. 

And by ensuring this, you can become what you desire to be if you walk in wisdom with your God-given resources in your day-to-day plan, purpose and pursuit, irrespective of the challenges that come in doing LIFE and living GODLY in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

“Grace and PEACE be MULTIPLIED to you in the KNOWLEDGE of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His DIVINE POWER has GIVEN to us ALL THINGS that PERTAIN to LIFE and GODLINESS, through the KNOWLEDGE of Him who CALLED us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been GIVEN to us exceedingly great and PRECIOUS PROMISES, that through these you may be PARTAKERS of the DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” 2 Peter 1:3-4/NKJV. 

It is on this platform — knowing what has been given to us for one to ‘OCCUPY TILL I COME’ — that one can be driven toward being EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED, as scripturally mandated. 

More so, to live and ensure and enact the being of MORE THAN CONQUERORS; 
and to live a COLOURFUL and THRIVING life, instead of being one who is merely SURVIVING — wanting to go to heaven so quickly in order to avoid and do away with life’s challenges. 

Some adopt this out of self-pity and as an escape route, supposedly. 

In a nutshell, the month of October, as themed, could be characterised — but not limited — under these headings: 

  • You are called to ‘OCCUPY TILL I COME’ — in order for you to be EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED — and not to be one who is hurrying for an escape route from the life principle of responsibility and accountability due to trials, challenges, circumstances and such like. As it is written: 
    “And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they THOUGHT that the kingdom of God should IMMEDIATELY APPEAR. 12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13 And he CALLED his ten servants, and DELIVERED them ten pounds, and SAID unto them, OCCUPY TILL I COME . .” Luke 19:11-13
  • You are CREATED and MANDATED to BE FRUITFUL, to MULTIPLY, to REPLENISH, to SUBDUE and to HAVE DOMINION — to LIVE and REIGN IN DOMINION in the earth. 
    FOR THE EARTH IS MADE FOR MAN AND NOT MAN FOR THE EARTH. 
    This is very important to be known.

  • You are CALLED and ASSURED to live VICTORIOUSLY in Redemption, as your rights and privileges in Christ Jesus. 
    “But thanks be to God, which GIVETH us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Corinthians 15:57.
  • You are CALLED and CAUSED to live always in TRIUMPH in Christ Jesus, thereby manifesting the exquisite fragrance of His KNOWLEDGE in us. 
    “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to TRIUMPH in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place” 2 Corinthians 2:14.
  • You are CALLED and REDEEMED to live and reign in DOMINION over sin and its effects — POVERTY, SICKNESS and SPIRITUAL DEATH. Hallelujah! 
    “For SIN shall not have DOMINION over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace” Romans 6:14.

  1. THE MANDATE: OCCUPY TILL I COME
    Luke 19:13 is not a suggestion, it is a COMMAND. To occupy means to be actively engaged in Kingdom business until Jesus returns.
    Jesus Himself was occupied about His Father’s business from childhood — Luke 2:49. 
    Occupation involves trading, investing, multiplying and producing results with what God has delivered into your hands. 
    There will be accountability when He returns — Luke 19:15-17. Faithfulness now determines authority later.

    God never separates enablement from assignment. Where there is His enabling POWER and endowments of GRACE, there is PURPOSE for it.

  1. OUR ORIGINAL MANDATE: DOMINION MANDATE
    From creation, God said: Be FRUITFUL, MULTIPLY, REPLENISH, SUBDUE and HAVE DOMINION — Genesis 1:26-28.
    Man was crowned with glory and honour and made to have dominion over the works of God’s hands — Psalms 8:4-8. 
    The EARTH hath He GIVEN to the children of men — Psalms 115:16.

    To fulfil “OCCUPY TILL I COME”, God has given you:
    TIME, EFFORT, FINANCE, MATERIAL, PEOPLE [PERSONNEL] 
    These are not yours. They are God’s investment in you. 
    Utilisation must be diligent, prudent, principled and accountable. 
    Success is failure turned inside out. It is the result of respecting opportunity and stewarding resources well. 
    Audit them regularly. Are they producing increase? Are they counting for the PLAN, PURPOSE and PURSUIT? 
     
  3. MINDSET SHIFT: FROM SURVIVAL TO THRIVING
    Refuse the escape mentality. Some want to go to heaven quickly to avoid life’s challenges. That is not Kingdom.
    You are called to a COLOURFUL and THRIVING life, not mere survival. 
    This life is gracious, graceful and lovely, but it is not a giveaway. It is not cheap, and it is not for the lazy, the sluggard or idlers. 
    Choose to enact who you ARE: Earthly Useful, More Than Conqueror, Victorious, Dominant, Complete in Christ. 
     
  4. THE ASSURANCE: GREATER ONE IN YOU
    “You ARE of God, little children, and have OVERCOME them, because He who is IN you is GREATER than he who is IN the world” — 1 John 4:4-6.
    Grace and PEACE be MULTIPLIED to you in the KNOWLEDGE of God — 2 Peter 1:3-4. 
    His DIVINE POWER has GIVEN to us ALL THINGS that PERTAIN to LIFE and GODLINESS. 
    You are LOVED, CALLED, BLESSED and EMPOWERED. The Greater One in you makes a thriving life accessible, liveable and applicable.

  1. RECEIVE THE CHARGE PERSONALLY
    Say it out loud today: “I will OCCUPY TILL HE COMES.”
    Stop waiting for escape. Start engaging purpose. Kingdom business is your duty, not your option.

    Set aside time weekly to ask:
  • How is my TIME invested? Is it producing Kingdom results? 
  • Where is my EFFORT directed? Am I diligent or distracted? 
  • How is my FINANCE deployed? Is it funding purpose? 
  • What MATERIAL resources do I have? Am I using them or hiding them? 
  • Who are my PEOPLE? Am I raising, equipping and deploying them? 
    Write it down. Be accountable. What is measured is what grows.
  1. DECLARE AND WALK IN YOUR REDEMPTION RIGHTS DAILY
    Morning confession:
    “I am a More Than Conqueror. I am Victorious. I am Triumphant. I reign in Dominion. Greater is He that is in me” — 1 John 4:4. 
    Speak it until it becomes your default mindset and lifestyle. 
     
  2. BE EARTHLY USEFUL AND HEAVENLY MINDED IN PRACTICAL WAYS
  • Be fruitful in your family, career and ministry 
  • Multiply influence by discipleship and mentoring 
  • Replenish systems that are dry 
  • Subdue challenges by faith and wisdom 
  • Exercise dominion in your sphere — Genesis 1:28 
    Do not be idle. Produce something this month.
  1. AWAIT HIS RETURN WITH INCREASE
    Trade with your “pounds” — Luke 19:13.

    Remember: to whom much is given, much will be required. Faithfulness in little leads to authority over much.

ENACTING THE COMMISSION – “OCCUPY TILL I COME”! 

“And he called his TEN servants, and DELIVERED them TEN pounds, and said unto them, OCCUPY TILL I COME” Luke 19:13. 

“So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘DO BUSINESS TILL I COME” Like 19:13/NKJV. 

The Month of October indicates BLESSEDNESS. And by the knowledge and understanding of the context, it is my earnest PRAYER that you resolve to take a STEP OF FAITH in GRACE to ENACT the Month of October – “OCCUPY TILL I COME” – in order to fulfil the COMMISSION MANDATE to us all. Thereby, being EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

The Month of OCTOBER is the TENTH month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars, and it is the sixth of seven months to have a length of 31 days. Month October was originally the eighth month of the Roman calendar. It comes from the Latin word “OCTO” meaning eight. Later, it became the 10th month when January and February were added to the Calendar. And spiritually, the number “eight” is said to be a symbol of NEW BEGINNING signifying WEALTH, PROSPERITY, PEACE and FERTILITY. October is normally the time of the year when farmers HARVEST their crops.  

In the Northern Hemisphere October is usually considered the second month of AUTUMN. In parts of the Southern Hemisphere, it is associated with the season of SPRING. It is the seasonal equivalent to April in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. 

You can recall that in creation God gave man a COMMISSION MANDATE to take charge, subdue, have dominion, and replenish the earth by His enabling GRACE as written in Genesis 1:26-28. And in the same scenario, our God, through Christ Jesus, has recalled the essence of the great commission mandate to also “OCCUPY TILL HE COME” as written in Luke 19:13. We have become inexcusable if we undermine this great opportunity to SERVE God acceptably and WORSHIP Him worthily in the fellowship and partnership in the terms and context of His COMMISSION MANDATE. 

Therefore, to ENACT the NEW CREATION mandate – “OCCUPY TILL I COME!” – thereby ensuring we are EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED, we must be driven to note that it is also about the CONTEXT to ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD and to KEEP the enemy and cohorts at bay in our path of doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

I do know that A MAN’S IGNORANCEANCE IS HIS OWN MOUNTAIN, and THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH WILL SET HIM FREE. Hence, I therefore commend you to take time to PONDER and MEDITATE on this charge through and through in PRAYERS and where possible, ACCOMPANY IT WITH FASTING, even as the Scripture below does enjoin. 

“And now, brethren, I COMMEND you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to BUILD you up, and to GIVE you an INHERITANCE among all them which are SANCTIFIED” Acts 20:32. 

May you find FULFILMENT and PURPOSE as you take on Month October and enact this to the FULNESS of the capacity that our God has endowed you with – GRACIOUSNESS and GRACEFULNESS in His BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

In Christ we are a NEW CREATION. Old things are passed away. 
God has reconciled us to Himself and COMMITTED TO US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION. 
We are AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST. Our OCCUPATION now includes advancing the Kingdom and representing Him on earth. 

  1. THE SPIRITUAL CONTEXT OF OCCUPYING

To ENACT this mandate means more than activity. It is to: 

ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD 

KEEP THE ENEMY AND HIS COHORTS AT BAY 

LIVE GODLY and DO LIFE in Christ Jesus’ stead 

SERVE GOD ACCEPTABLY and WORSHIP HIM WORTHILY in FELLOWSHIP AND PARTNERSHIP 

We are called to be EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED at the same time. 

  1. THE ENEMY TO OCCUPYING: IGNORANCE

“A MAN’S IGNORANCE IS HIS OWN MOUNTAIN” But “THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH WILL SET HIM FREE” John 8:32 
Therefore we are COMMENDED TO GOD AND TO THE WORD OF HIS GRACE which is able to BUILD US UP and GIVE US AN INHERITANCE Acts 20:32. 

  1. THE CALL TO ACTION FOR THE SEASON

The Month of OCTOBER speaks of BLESSEDNESS. Spiritually, the number “eight” signifies NEW BEGINNING, WEALTH, PROSPERITY, PEACE, AND FERTILITY. It is also HARVEST season. 
Hence the earnest PRAYER is that you take a STEP OF FAITH IN GRACE to ENACT this mandate to the FULNESS of capacity God has endowed you with — in GRACIOUSNESS and GRACEFULNESS in His BLESSEDNESS. 

You are charged to: PONDER, MEDITATE, PRAY, AND WHERE POSSIBLE FAST on this charge. 

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. OCCUPY NOW: Do not wait. Trade with what God has DELIVERED to you — gifts, time, resources, influence.
  2. BE FAITHFUL IN LITTLE: The faithful servant was given authority over cities. Your diligence today determines your dominion tomorrow. 
  3. ADVANCE AND RESIST: Occupy means both BUILDING the Kingdom and RESISTING the enemy. 
  4. GROW IN KNOWLEDGE: Deal with ignorance through the WORD, PRAYER, AND FASTING so you can walk in freedom and purpose. 
  5. LIVE WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW: Be HEAVENLY MINDED while remaining EARTHLY USEFUL until He comes.

THE UNPARALLELED ARMY: EXERCISING THE USE OF THE WEAPONRY OF WAR FOR WARFARE! 

I just want to REMIND you for your NOW and for your TOMORROW, hoping that you might have known or that you probably being INFOMED for the first time, that every born-again believing child of God in Christ Jesus IS A BATTLEFIELD; and in a battlefield KNOWINGLY and UNKNOWINGLY. And there is the need to DAILY SHARPEN your INSTRUMENT [WEAPONRY] and KEEP it READY to ENGAGE in any BATTLES in the NOW or tomorrow [Ecclesiastes 10:10/Amplified]. It is because the ENEMY and his cohorts with whom we are ENGAGED are ROARING and ROAMING AROUND, SEEKING whom to DEVOUR – [1 Peter 5:8-11]. Therefore, there is the NEED to GET yourself and your spiritual weaponry ready 24/7 as you do life and live godly in the grace in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. And spiritual weaponry exercise is NOT to be TAKEN for GRANTED. It is WORTH the exercise because of the EFFECTS in the LIFE NOW and the LIFE TO COME. 

“But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto GODLINESS. 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but GODLINESS is PROFITABLE unto all things, having PROMISE of the life that NOW IS, and of that which IS TO COME” 1 Timothy 4:7-8. 

“But have nothing to do with irreverent folklore and silly myths. On the other hand, DISCIPLINE yourself for the PURPOSE of GODLINESS [keeping yourself SPIRITUALLY FIT]. 8 For physical training is of some value, but GODLINESS (SPIRITUAL TRAINING) is of value in everything and in every way, since it holds promise for the PRESENT LIFE and for the LIFE TO COME” 1 Timothy 4:7-8/Amplified. 

It is TIME, as an unparalleled army of God in Christ Jesus, to EXERCISE the KNOW-HOW to be THE COMBATANT and MILITANT-LIKE SOLDIER with the ARMOUR for warfare – 

and THE ANTIDOTE to deal with the ENEMY and the COHORTS’ WILES and ASSAULTS. 

“. . . 11 PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD, that ye may be able to STAND AGAINST THE WILES of the devil. 12 For we WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but AGAINST principalities, AGAINST powers, AGAINST the rulers of the darkness of this world, AGAINST spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the WHOLE ARMOUR of God, that ye may be able to WITHSTAND in the EVIL day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your LOINS GIRT ABOUT WITH TRUTH, and having on the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS; 15 and your FEET SHOD with the preparation of THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; 16 above all, taking THE SHIELD OF FAITH, wherewith ye shall be able to QUENCH all the FIERY DARTS OF THE WICKED. 17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is THE WORD of God: 18 PRAYING ALWAYS WITH ALL PRAYER and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints . . .” Ephesians 6: 10-18. 

And we can DO VALIANTLY and MORE, KNOWING that our WEAPONRY is sharpened, tested and ready for USE whenever REQUIRED for the DESIRED EFFECT in the grace. Much MORE, KNOWING that our GOD is EVER SET to MAKE a PUBLIC SHOW [spectacle] of the enemy and his cohorts as He has DONE BEFORE, and NOW THROUGH US for His GLORY and PRAISE in the grace. 

“Through God we shall do VALIANTLY [VICTORIOUSLY]: for He it is that shall TREAD [TRAMPLED] DOWN our ENEMIES” Psalms 60:12/Emphasis Mine. 

“When He had DISARMED the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a PUBLIC example of them [exhibiting them as CAPTIVES in His triumphal procession], having TRIUMPHED over them through [a]the cross” Colossians 2:14-15/Amplified. 

“Now thanks be unto God, which ALWAYS CAUSETH US to TRIUMPH in Christ, and maketh MANIFEST the savour of his knowledge BY US in EVERY PLACE” 2 Corinthians 2:14. 

It may not surprise you how much forecast is made yearly in budgetary investment that is showcased for military might by some nations. Their intent is to ensure that both their OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE operations and mechanisms, along with the training of their combatant military forces, are ready and securely set at the top of the range for combating. This they do as a measure to stand out among other nations and to send clear warning signs to their national neighbours and competitors of how prepared they are in any battles that may arise – be it on land, air and sea and such like. 

Today, lots of nations are investing heavily to fight cyberspace wars against many factors in the sphere, whilst others are engaged in terrorism of various spheres. This is to tell you that the ENEMY and his COHORTS are at war naturally, as you can hear or see or read about in various places and some are near you, or you are a part of national wars and warfare; whilst others are undergoing some threatening’s and others are witnessing international war investment in various continents of the world. In each case WEAPONRY is involved, with personnel answering to their commandants and heads of state as commissioned.  

DESPITE all the huge investments in these natural nations, lives are lost, weaponry and weapons are destroyed, whilst some become obsolete in order to give room to new innovations in technology. These natural wars and warfares are in vast difference from the wars and warfare which the unparalleled armies of God in Christ Jesus are engaged with. They are equally located and stationed in every territory of the world, beyond the limits and boundaries of nations and national limitations. 

As in the humanly made army described above that are limited in nature, in comparison to the divinely arranged spiritual army, as ascribed as the UNPARALLELED ARMY – which IS the Church of God in Christ Jesus – the weaponry in use for warfare are not carnal; meaning they are not man-made or humanly crafted. The weaponry in use by the UNPARALLELED ARMY are not external as in the world; but are SPIRITUAL, made as OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE armour for spiritual warfare. For our warfare is spiritual and not fought or battled in the flesh (physical), though it has physical effects. Hence our armour is expected to be PUT ON 24/7 by God’s unparalleled army in order to be always ready to triumph in Christ Jesus’ stead in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14. This is also explained in full as enjoined in the epistle scripture of Ephesians 6:10-18, as instructed by Apostle Paul to the Church at Ephesus. It is by PUTTING ON this OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE armour that we are able to stand AGAINST the enemy and his cohorts in every phase of warfare in our walk of FAITH in God in Christ Jesus’ stead.

It must be noted that the armour for our warfare to battle against the WILES of the enemy and his cohorts and their modes of operandi – in every and all their forms of manifestation against our FAITH in Christ Jesus – are readily available for our disposal and utilisation. Our place in Christ is to EXERCISE the rights and privileges in the FAITH upon which we stand in Christ Jesus, in order to enact, authentic and put the weapons and armour into use, to ensure and assure the essence and purpose for which it has been given to us all – as the REDEEMED of God in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

“Therefore being JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 by whom also we have ACCESS BY FAITH into this GRACE WHEREIN WE STAND, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God” Romans 5:1-2. 

For when our grandstanding PURPOSE are not exercised or utilised, and are misused, the enemy rules and reigns – Hence there are many REDEEMED children of God today, that are still struggling in their walk and work with God. This is for their inability to EXERCISE or to be EXERCISING the SURE and ASSURED weaponry, to bring ALL the works of the enemy and his cohorts down to the footstool. Just as our Lord and Saviour Jesus in His humanity, and the early Disciples – called Apostles – did exercise in their time, as examples before us and for our learning ahead of time in Christ Jesus’ stead. Hence we are enjoined in this Scripture: 

“For though we WALK in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not CARRYING ON our [spiritual] WARFARE according to the flesh and using the WEAPONS of man. 4 THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT PHYSICAL [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our WEAPONS are DIVINELY POWERFUL for the destruction of fortresses.5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, 6 being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6/Amplified. 

“Behold, they shall SURELY GATHER TOGETHER, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. 16 Behold, I have CREATED the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an INSTRUMENT for his work; and I have CREATED the waster to destroy. 17 No WEAPON that is FORMED AGAINST thee shall PROSPER; and every TONGUE that shall rise AGAINST thee in JUDGMENT thou shalt condemn. This is the HERITAGE of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord” Isaiah 54:15-17. 

Herein are some major spiritual weaponry and armour to be exercised and put to use in order – to authenticate, enact and realise our VICTORY in ALL battles and warfare: 

  1. EXERCISING the spirit of being always on your UNIFORM – SPIRITUAL 
    ARMOURING and WEAPONRY – Ephesians 6:10-18. 
  2. EXERCISING the WORD of FAITH (Knowledge and understanding of the WORD and Faith declaration or Confession of the WORD accordingly) – Mark 11:22-23; Luke 4:1-3; Luke 4:1-13; Deuteronomy 8:3; Psalms 91:11-12; Revelation 12:11; Matthew 8:16; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 2:15; 1 Peter 5:8-9; John 6:63; Hebrews 10:23; Proverbs 6:2; Romans 10:8-10.
  3. EXERCISING the NAME of JESUS – Luke 10:17; Philippians 2:9-11; Acts 4:12; Acts 3:6-7; 1 Timothy 2:5; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:16-20; John 14:12-17.
  4. EXERCISING the BLOOD of JESUS – Revelation 12:11; Hebrews 9:12; Colossians 1:14: Ephesians 1:7; Revelation 5:9-10; Revelation 1:5-6.
  5. EXERCISING the Power of PRAISE and WORSHIP – Psalms 149; Psalms 150; Psalms 8:2; 2 Chronicles 20:20-25, Joshua 6:1-21.
  6. EXERCISING the PLACE of PRAYERS and FASTING – Acts 4:23-31; Acts 6:4; Mark 1:35; Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13; Matthew 17:13-21/Mark 9:14-29; Luke 18:1-8; James 5:13-16; Mark 6:12-13. Matthew 6:5-18.
  7. EXERCISING the Leadership of the Holy Spirit – Acts 1:8; Luke 24:49; John 3:8; John 16:13-15; Romans 8: 11-16, 26-27; Jude 1:20; Ephesians 6:18. 

And there are three strategic WILES and MODES of OPERANDI that are scripturally known to be in use by satan and his cohorts against our FAITH in Christ Jesus. And for each we are fully informed with the Scriptural ANTIDOTE that can and will always COMBAT the enemy and his cohorts’ wiles, as we are enjoined to: 

“PUT ON THE WHOLE Armour of God, that ye may be ABLE to STAND AGAINST the WILES of the DEVIL” Ephesians 6:11. 

Herein are the ENEMY and his COHORTS wiles and modes of Operandi and our instructed antidote to note concerning them – and how to deal with their craft and cunning tactics accordingly: 

  1. AS A ROARING LION – 1 Peter 5:8.  
    ANTIDOTE: 1 Peter 5:9; James 4:7.
  2. AS A WOLF IN SHEEP CLOTHING – Matthew 7:15.
    ANTIDOTE: Matthew 7:16, 20. 
  3. AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT – 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.
    ANTIDOTE: 1 Corinthians 12:8-10. 

Suffice it to know full well that overtime, one thing is certain and it’s worth noting that – Kingdoms, Nations, Empires, Politicians, Political and Military dictators, Kings and Rulers that have covenanted with satan and his cohorts to do evil and wickedness, have risen and fallen – lost their greatness and collapsed, reigned and died. Yet the Church of God in Christ Jesus – hallelujah – the greatest and only UNPARALLELED ARMY force that’s universally located and stationed and known on earth, beneath the earth and in the heavens, keeps marching on triumphantly in the face of absolute oppositions and challenges. And all this in spite of all the attacks of the ENEMY and his COHORTS on God’s mandate – plan, purpose and pursuit – through His UNPARALLELED ARMY, the Church of God in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“Crowns and thrones may perish 

Kingdoms rise and wane 

But the Church of Jesus constant will remain: 

Gates of hell can never 

‘Gainst that Church prevail; 

We have Christ’s own promise – 

And that cannot fail” – S. Baring-Gould 

The UNPARALLELED ARMY, the CHURCH of God is undaunted in every way by the challenges that are emanating today and any day in the future. Because the Kingdom purpose and cause is of God and IT IS an EVERLASTING KINGDOM. And thus, it endures and will endure through ALL GENERATIONS, irrespective of the challenges, opposition and difficulties in the pathway, as we SEE DAILY in ALL the multimedia channels and events near you. 

“Thy KINGDOM IS AN EVERLASTING KINGDOM, and thy DOMINION endureth throughout ALL GENERATIONS” Psalms 145:13. 

“For THE KINGDOM is the Lord’s: and he is the GOVERNOR among THE NATIONS” Psalms 22:28. 

The militant-like soldier – the Church of God in Christ Jesus/ stead – is at WAR with the FLESH within; and without, at WAR with the enemy and his cohorts that are against our FAITH in Christ Jesus. At WAR with spiritual forces and principalities and powers in heavenly and earthly places of doing life. At WAR with man-made religious dogmas and denominational entanglements, doctrinal sectarian bonds and traditional byelaws and creeds in the name of God. And at war with many such like as may be identified by the Holy Spirit in the WORD of God, as He leads the Church – you, local and universal. 

“FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” 1 Timothy 6:12 

“Be SOBER, be VIGILANT (SMARTLY SENSITIVE, ALERT); because your ADVERSARY THE DEVIL, AS A ROARING LION, WALKETH ABOUT, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR: 9 whom RESIST STEDFAST IN THE FAITH, knowing that the same AFFLICTIONS are accomplished in your BRETHREN that are in THE WORLD. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you PERFECT, STABLISH, STRENGTHEN, SETTLE YOU. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” 1 Peter 5:8-11;  

And because we ARE at war and warfare entails it, it takes a spirited, combatant, Militant-Like Soldier stand to combat, to win and triumph daily and always – as Apostle Paul admonished Timothy in the Holy writ of 2 Timothy 2:1-5. And to be a Soldier of Christ under the heavenly – wherein our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ is the captain of the host of God’s unparalleled army on earth, with the angelic assisted army – is a promise of full assurance of victory, triumph, overcoming and such like. Joshua 5:13-15. And this rare privilege to be a Militant-like Soldier is made possible by the grace of God and that gives us in earthly sphere the right to be His ambassadorial representatives in Christ Jesus’ stead – 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. And as such, there is no room for errors and perversions in our walk in His stead. We must war lawfully and obediently, otherwise we will be court-martialled and declared upon with a “PERSONA NON GRATA” status for woefully defiling and disobeying orders as expected. 2 Timothy 1:1-5; 2 Corinthians 10:3-6. 

Be assured that our weaponry is sure, assured to bring all things under God’s control. For in Christ Jesus all things – flesh, animate and inanimate – are subdued and brought into SUBJECTION to the captain of the HOST of God’s unparalleled army. (John 17:2; John 13:3; Philippians 3:20-21; Matthew 28:18; Mark 16:15-20; Luke 10:17-20). 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his SWORD DRAWN IN HIS HAND: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? 14 And he said, Nay; but as CAPTAIN OF THE HOST of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant? 15 And THE CAPTAIN of the Lord’s host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so” Joshua 5:13-15. 

“Finally, my brethren, be STRONG in the Lord, and in the POWER of his might. 11 PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD, that ye may be able to STAND AGAINST THE WILES of the devil. 12 For we WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but AGAINST principalities, AGAINST powers, AGAINST the rulers of the darkness of this world, AGAINST spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole ARMOUR of God, that ye may be able to WITHSTAND in the EVIL day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your LOINS girt about with TRUTH, and having on THE BREASTPLATE of righteousness; 15 and your feet shod with the preparation of THE GOSPEL of peace; 16 above all, taking THE SHIELD OF FAITH, wherewith ye shall be able to QUENCH all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the HELMET of salvation, and THE SWORD of the Spirit, which is THE WORD of God: 18 PRAYING always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints . . .” Ephesians 6:10-20. 

“It is true that I am an ordinary, weak human being, but I don’t use human plans and methods to WIN MY BATTLES. 4 I use God’s MIGHTY WEAPONS, NOT THOSE MADE BY MEN, to knock down the devil’s strongholds. 5 These WEAPONS can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding Him. With these WEAPONS I can capture rebels and bring them back to God and change them into men whose hearts’ desire is obedience to Christ. 6 I will use these weapons against every rebel who remains after I have first used them on you yourselves and you surrender to Christ” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (LB). 

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest WAR A GOOD WARFARE; 19 HOLDING FAITH, AND A GOOD CONSCIENCE; which some having PUT AWAY CONCERNING FAITH have made shipwreck: 20 of whom is Hymenæus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme” 1 Timothy 1:18-20. 

“I HAVE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT, I have finished my course, I have KEPT THE FAITH: 8 henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

“ASSOCIATE yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be BROKEN in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. 10 Take COUNSEL TOGETHER, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: FOR GOD IS WITH US. 11 For the Lord spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, 12 SAY YE NOT, A CONFEDERACY, to all them to whom this people shall say, A CONFEDERACY; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. 13 SANCTIFY the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread . . . 16 BIND UP THE TESTIMONY, SEAL THE LAW AMONG MY DISCIPLES. 17 And I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. 18 Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. 19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? 20 TO THE LAW AND TO THE TESTIMONY: IF THEY SPEAK NOT ACCORDING TO THIS WORD, IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM . . .” Isaiah 8:9-22 

“And they OVERCAME him by the blood of the Lamb, and by THE WORD of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death” Revelation 12:11. 

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL against it” Matthew 16:18.

“Nay, in all these things WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him that loved us” Romans 8:37. 

“For whatsoever is born of God OVERCOMETH the world: and this is the victory that OVERCOMETH the world, even our FAITH. 5 Who is he that OVERCOMETH the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:4-5. 

“Ye ARE of God, little children, and have OVERCOME them: because GREATER is HE that is IN you, than he that is in the world. 5 They ARE of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We ARE of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of ERROR” 1 John 4:4-6. 

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not IMPUTING their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the WORD OF RECONCILIATION. 20 Now then, WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM” 2 Corinthians 5:17-21.

A MILITANT-LIKE SOLDIER: THE UNPARALLELED ARMY – The CHURCH of God in Christ Jesus stead! 

“Thou therefore, my son, be STRONG in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same COMMIT thou to FAITHFUL men, who shall be able to TEACH others also. 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, AS A GOOD SOLDIER of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that WARRETH entangleth himself with the AFFAIRS of this life; that he may PLEASE him who hath CHOSEN him to be a SOLDIER. 5 And if a man also STRIVE FOR MASTERIES, yet is he NOT CROWNED, except he STRIVE LAWFULLY” 2 Timothy 2:1-5 

The Church of God, as an UNPARALLELED ARMY, is like a militant soldier who is daily at WAR in every aspect of doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus’ stead. 
The Church of Christ is engaged constantly and continuously in spiritual WARFARE. 

And everyone born of God’s nature in Christ Jesus needs to know it and be ready to engage whenever and wherever in this spiritual battle that has physical effect in our world, with resultant challenges to individuals’ lives, families, communities, nations, and more. 

AND YOU ARE THE CHURCH THAT’S GLORIOUS, MILITANT-LIKE SOLDIER AND TRIUMPHANT IN NATURE IN CHRIST JESUS, BUILT-UP TO WIN AND TRIUMPH DAILY AS SET AND ASSURED  

“But THANKS be to God, Who in Christ always LEADS us in TRIUMPH [as TROPHIES of Christ’s victory] and through us SPREADS and makes EVIDENT the FRAGRANCE of the knowledge of God EVERYWHERE, 15 For we are the SWEET FRAGRANCE of Christ [which exhales] unto God, [discernible alike] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing” 2 Corinthians 2:14-15/Amplified Classic Edition. 

“When He had DISARMED the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil OPERATING AGAINST us], He made a PUBLIC example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His TRIUMPHAL PROCESSION], having TRIUMPHED OVER them through the cross” Colossians 2:14-15/Amplified. 

The Church of God, in Christ Jesus’ stead, though engaged in constant MILITANT-LIKE spiritual warfare, is also a TRIUMPHANT Church. 
Every warfare and battle defines, refines, refreshes, energises, rejuvenates, refires, and renews the Church; hence the Church is GLORIOUS in all, because its beauty is awesome despite satanic and cohorts’ efforts to fake, duplicate, pervert, and counterfeit these glorious attributes. 

Therefore, get engaged and don’t watch from the sidelines or grandstand, else you become victim and prey rather than victor. 
You are a WINNER in Christ Jesus’ stead any day and any way, everywhere, as long as you know and understand that you are equipped — being born of God and filled with His Spirit — to get engaged with the battles within and without. 
Ephesians 6:10-20 

The militant-like soldier — the Church of God in Christ Jesus’ stead — is at WAR with the FLESH within; and at WAR without, with the ENEMY and COHORTS that are against our FAITH in Christ Jesus; and at WAR with spiritual forces and PRINCIPALITIES and POWERS in heavenly and earthly places of doing life; and at WAR with man-made religious dogmas, denominational entanglements, doctrinal sectarian bonds, and traditional bye-laws and creeds in the name of God; and at WAR with many such like as may be identified by the Holy Spirit in the WORD of God as He leads the Church — you, local and universal. 
[2 Corinthians 10:3-6; Ephesians 6:10-20; Galatians 1:6-9; Jude 1:3-4; Philippians 1:15-18; Philippians 3:18-19; 1 Peter 5:8-10; Acts 8:10-25] 

And this WAR and WARFARE is about our FAITH in our Lord Jesus Christ. 
Hence Apostle Paul says we should FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH, indicating that some fights are uncalled-for, not good fights, not fights worth engaging in, and we should be aliens to them by every means. 

Suffice it to know that the ENEMY and COHORTS are not necessarily after your physical possessions and wellbeing in their engagement of WAR and WARFARE against you. 
They are actually using the things you think THEY ARE after as a distraction from the real deal. 
Their main target is your FAITH — to make you GIVE UP on your faith in God in Christ Jesus. 

Knowing that, as long as your steadfastness in God in Christ Jesus remains steady, you can ALWAYS recover all losses by winning and victorious FAITH, as Job did [1 John 5:3-5]. 
For Job recovered the more by taking the stand that the REDEEMER lives, in spite of all he went through with Satan and cohorts, friends, and wife against his stand in God — Job 19:25; Job 42:10-17.  

“FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” 1 Timothy 6:12 

“Be SOBER, be VIGILANT (SMARTLY SENSITIVE, ALERT); because your ADVERSARY THE DEVIL, AS A ROARING LION, WALKETH ABOUT, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR: 9 whom RESIST STEDFAST IN THE FAITH, knowing that the same AFFLICTIONS are accomplished in your BRETHREN that are in THE WORLD. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you PERFECT, STABLISH, STRENGTHEN, SETTLE YOU. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” 1 Peter 5:8-11;  

And because we ARE at war and warfare, it takes a spirited Militant-Like Soldier stand to win and triumph daily and always, as Apostle Paul admonished Timothy in the Holy Writ of 2 Timothy 2:1-5. 
And to be a Soldier of Christ under the heavenly, wherein our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ is the Captain of the host of God’s unparalleled army on earth with the angelically assisted army, is a promise of full assurance of victory, triumph, overcoming, and such like. Joshua 5:13-15 
And this rare privilege to be a Militant-like Soldier is made possible by the grace of God, and that gives us in the earthly sphere the right to be His ambassadors and representatives in Christ Jesus’ stead — 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. 
And as such, there is no room for errors and perversions in our walk in His stead. We need to war lawfully and obediently, otherwise we will be court-martialled and declared “PERSONA NON GRATA” for woefully defiling and disobeying orders as expected. [2 Timothy 2:1-5; 2 Corinthians 10:3-6] 

Herein are some lessons to keep in mind as the UNPARALLELED ARMY — the Church of God in Christ Jesus’ stead — in order to avoid setbacks and set-ups, and to create a safety and security net that is WORTH doing to win in life and grace. 

To begin with, WHAT IS A CHURCH? 
A Church is you — an individual, the local, and the universal body of born-again Believers of God — on the WORD of God in Christ Jesus, filled with and led by the Holy Spirit, having under a Shepherd. 
The reason why this CHURCH definition is important in the context of the Scriptures is because there are many loose individuals and local Believers out there who belong to no Shepherd, or rather are not under any Shepherd for reckoning, and as such are unaccountable to any under God as the Scripture has enjoined — [Hebrews 13:16-17]. 
Such Believers are vulnerable, positioned in a state of vulnerability knowingly or unknowingly — which is a state of ignorance, foolishness, arrogance, and stupidity due to zealousness without knowledge and understanding in context and perception. 

For a while, my younger children have been watching a Netflix documentary programme called OUR PLANET. In the course of sitting with the children on a few occasions, I became curious about how the cat family — especially the Lion and Leopard — easily target their prey in order to feed and make a meal of them. 
Most of the time, I discovered they are always looking to target a stand-alone prey from the herd. And once identified, in their chase they can corner that vulnerable stand-alone, and their day’s meal is set and made readily ready. 
And it gives me a picture of how the ENEMY and COHORTS go about looking for that vulnerable stand-alone Believer in Christ Jesus — who is not keen to have a covering Shepherd over their head. They roam about as spiritual harlots, accountable to no one, and none can account on their behalf — Hebrews 13:16-17. 
These Believers that belong to no fellowship, or local assembly, or attend any gathering of God’s precious and redeemed people are exposed as lone soldiers for the enemy and cohorts to PREY upon in challenging and difficult times. 

DON’T BE A LONE MILITANT-LIKE SOLDIER, BELIEVER, AND MINISTER IN THE BODY OF CHRIST GOSPEL MINISTRY 
When you think that because you can read the Bible and pray to Father God in Christ Jesus, and speak in tongues of the Holy Spirit, you do not need interaction, communication, and fellowship with other Believers of the same Father — you are knowingly setting yourself up as a lone soldier. 
I have seen people who are so bound to their set denomination, doctrine, and sectarian setting that when they come to a new dwelling place and cannot find the same kind of local assembly they came from, they will not worship and serve God wholeheartedly in any new place of gathering. 
And some will immediately form their own gathering as if that is the only mark to worship and serve God worthily and acceptably and make heaven. 
And unfortunately, some Ministers are not in any way out of this hook, because they have so much indoctrinated people with denominational spirit rather than with the Gospel of the body ministry of Christ Jesus. As such, they use their opportunity to open up an extension of their denomination branch and immediately make such people Pastors overnight, even when the individuals know there is no call of God upon their life for such spiritual placement and position. Hence today there are all manner of confusion, schisms, perversion, and adulteration in the body ministry of the Gospel of Christ Jesus. 
And it is of such like that Apostle Paul warns Timothy not to suddenly lay hands on any man for a spiritual high office, to safeguard the body ministry — 1 Timothy 5:22. 

In my watching over natural national militant soldiers and interacting with a few to hear their respective storylines, one thing I have learnt and can conclude is that they never fight alone without team spirit and set back-ups, so that when there is an injury from the enemy and cohorts’ side, there is an immediate response to take their own out of the battle side, whether dead or alive, to preserve the honour, dignity, and integrity to SERVE as a soldier. 
Unfortunately, in Church life over the years, especially where ignorance, stupidity, foolishness, and schism exist, I have seen from the grandstand where fellow UNPARALLELED ARMY are abandoned and left for the enemy and cohorts to have a full feed day upon, in the name of punishment or sectarian reasons. 
Yet, the Commandant of the UNPARALLELED ARMY, our Lord Jesus, will not abandon and let His own be devoured, but will take them along as the good, Chief, and Great Shepherd of the sheep, to nurse His own and strengthen them so that they can recover speedily and live to fight another day, as David did against the Lion and the Bear that came for his father’s sheep he was shepherding — and he was able to keep the sheep safe, secure, and protected as the Scriptures recorded — 1 Samuel 17:34-37. 

You ARE a MILITANT-LIKE SOLDIER. 
You ARE THE UNPARALLELED ARMY. 
You ARE the CHURCH of God in Christ Jesus’ stead. 
Be wise to take your place and PUT OFF the civilian uniform and PUT ON the armour of who you ARE in God in Christ Jesus’ stead.

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest WAR A GOOD WARFARE; 19 HOLDING FAITH, AND A GOOD CONSCIENCE; which some having PUT AWAY CONCERNING FAITH have made shipwreck: 20 of whom is Hymenæus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme” 1 Timothy 1:18-20. 

“I HAVE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT, I have finished my course, I have KEPT THE FAITH: 8 henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

SUMMARY: 
The message presents the Church of God as God’s UNPARALLELED ARMY — militant-like soldiers engaged in constant spiritual warfare, yet at the same time triumphant, glorious and victorious in Christ Jesus. 

  1. BIBLICAL FOUNDATION FOR THE SOLDIER IDENTITY
    Drawn from 2 Timothy 2:1-5, every believer is called to: 
  • Be STRONG in the grace that is in Christ Jesus 
  • Endure hardness AS A GOOD SOLDIER 
  • Not entangle with the affairs of this life in order to PLEASE Him who chose us 
  • STRIVE LAWFULLY so we can be crowned 
    Other anchors: Ephesians 6:10-20 — put on the whole armour. 1 Peter 5:8-11 — be sober, vigilant, resist the devil steadfast in faith. 
  1. THE NATURE OF THE WARFARE

This is not physical war. The Church is at WAR: 

Within — with the FLESH 

Without — with the ENEMY and COHORTS against our FAITH 

With spiritual forces, PRINCIPALITIES and POWERS 

With man-made religious dogmas, denominationalism, sectarian bonds, traditions 
The real target of the enemy is not your possessions. It is your FAITH — to make you GIVE UP on God. But like Job, victorious faith means you can ALWAYS recover all losses — Job 19:25; Job 42:10-17; 1 John 5:3-5. 

  1. THE CHURCH’S TRIUMPHANT IDENTITY

Though in warfare, the Church is GLORIOUS and TRIUMPHANT. 

  • Christ has already DISARMED rulers and authorities and TRIUMPHED OVER them — Colossians 2:14-15 
  • God ALWAYS CAUSES US TO TRIUMPH in Christ — 2 Corinthians 2:14 
  • We are MORE THAN CONQUERORS — Romans 8:37 
  • The GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL — Matthew 16:18 
    Every battle defines, refines, energises and renews the Church. Satan’s attempts to fake and counterfeit cannot diminish her beauty. 
  1. THE CALL: DON’T BE A LONE SOLDIER

A key warning: DON’T BE A LONE MILITANT-LIKE SOLDIER. 
Using the illustration from OUR PLANET, lions and leopards target stand-alone prey. In the same way the enemy looks for Believers with no covering Shepherd, no fellowship, no local assembly. 
Hebrews 13:16-17 is cited — we need to be accountable under a Shepherd.

  • Denominational bondage that prevents worshipping elsewhere 
  • People forming their own gatherings without calling 
  • Ministers making people Pastors overnight without God’s call — 1 Timothy 5:22 
    This creates confusion, schisms and perversion. 
    Like natural soldiers who fight with team spirit and back-ups, the Church must not abandon her own. Jesus as Commandant and Great Shepherd will nurse, strengthen and restore us to fight again — 1 Samuel 17:34-37.  
  1. OUR PRIVILEGE AND RESPONSIBILITY

Because of grace, we have the right to be ambassadors and representatives of Christ — 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. 
Christ is the Captain of the host with an angelically assisted army — Joshua 5:13-15. 
Therefore we must war LAWFULLY and OBEDIENTLY, else we face spiritual “court-martial”. 

  1. FINAL CHARGE

You ARE a MILITANT-LIKE SOLDIER. You ARE THE UNPARALLELED ARMY. You ARE the CHURCH. 
Put off the civilian uniform. PUT ON the armour of God. Be wise, be in fellowship, be under covering, and FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH — 1 Timothy 6:12. 

IN ONE SENTENCE: 
Because we are in a daily spiritual war, every believer must recognise they are part of God’s UNPARALLELED ARMY, fight lawfully and in community under Christ the Captain, guard their faith above all, and live as a triumphant, glorious Church that cannot be defeated.

YOU ARE OF GOD: AND YOU ARE ON GOD’S DEFAULT TO LIVE THE GREATER AND HIGHER LIFE! 

“YOU ARE OF GOD, little children, and have OVERCOME them, because GREATER is He that is IN you, than he that is in the World. 5 THEY ARE OF THE WORLD: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 WE ARE OF GOD: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error” (1 John 4:4-6). 

Friend, the GREATER God lives in you. In Christ Jesus, YOU ARE MORE THAN your challenges and circumstances. Can I hear from you an assuring, ensuring and insuring Amen. If you believe it say it again and again until you are indeed assured and can ensure in your spirit being that you can and will do life in this stead in Christ Jesus. Amen. 

Therefore, as you step into this NEW DAY, may you not see it as ANOTHER DAY of the same which you’ve experienced with it’s overwhelming challenges and pain. I pray you see it as the DAWN of a NEW DAY, and you are in it to be a VOICE not an ECHO, to be an OVERCOMER, to LIVE and DO LIFE by it, in the realm of the Greater one that dwells in you to make it tangible and real good indeed. 

It’s my earnest PRAYERS, that, as you LIVE and DO LIFE through the Lord God THIS DAY, may the GREATER one that lives in you, makes you GREATER; and cause the ENABLING GRACE to authenticate you a VOICE and not an ECHO; and to speaks FORTH GRACIOUSNESSS and GRACEFULNESS into the wilderness of human depravation in your life and that of others; and for the HIGHER life and living, in the FULFILMENT of Isaiah 40:3-5 in this wise: 

  • MOUNTAINS AND HILLS BECOMES PLAIN 
  • VALLEY PLACES ARE FILLED/EXALTED 
  • ROUGH PLACES BECOME SMOOTH

May this DAWN DAY awaken God’s glory in you — to live and do life HIGHER and GREATER than your expectations in Jesus’ BLESSED Name.

THE UNPARALLELED ARMY – THE CHURCH OF GOD: DEPICTS AS LOVING (LOVELY), GLORIOUS, MILITANT-LIKE SOLDIER AND TRIUMPHANT IN LIFE AND GRACE! 

“For no one can lay a FOUNDATION other than the one which is [ALREADY] laid, which is Jesus Christ” 1 Corinthians 3:11 Amplified. 

“Husbands, LOVE your wives [seek the highest good for her and surround her with a caring, unselfish love], just as Christ also LOVED THE CHURCH and GAVE Himself up for her, 26 so that He might SANCTIFY THE CHURCH, having cleansed her by the washing of water with THE WORD [of God], 27 so that [in turn] He might present THE CHURCH to Himself in GLORIOUS splendor, WITHOUT spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be HOLY [set apart for God] and blameless” Ephesians 5:25-27 Amplified. 

The Church of God is depicted as the UNPARALLELED ARMY of God in Christ Jesus — superior to any force and power known or yet to be known, in any human history past, present, and future. 

He is our Commandant who rules and reigns supreme in the heavenly, beneath the earth, and also on the earth — at any time, any day, and everywhere at the same time. 
For God is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient — unlimited by geography and territories as He has apportioned them in the world. [Acts 17:24-31; Ephesians 1:21-23; Ephesians 3:20-21; Philippians 3:20-21]. 

The beauty, graciousness, gracefulness, and goodness of this unparalleled army is this: 
The Captain of the Host of the Lord’s Army who leads her is an indescribable and invincible being, angelically assisted, with armoury that is not of human craft for any warfare. [Joshua 5:13-14; Hebrews 1:7, 14; Psalm 103:20]. 

And this army is not limited by geography, people, tribe, culture, tongue, class, status, or colour. 
It is visible in every place of human dwelling on planet earth. 

 

“And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he LIFTED up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his SWORD DRAWN IN HIS HAND: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? 14 And he said, Nay; but as CAPTAIN OF THE HOST of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?” Joshua 5:13-14. 

“And of the ANGELS he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire . . . 14 Are they not all MINISTERING spirits, sent forth to MINISTER for them who shall be HEIRS OF SALVATION?” Hebrews 1:7, 14.

  • The UNPARALLELED ARMY – the CHURCH of God in Christ Jesus stead is GLORIOUS AND SPOTLESS! – Ephesians 5:25-33.

DOMINION IN REDEMPTION: IT’S By RESPONDING AND NOT BY REACTING! 

“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the PRINCE of this WORLD cometh, and hath NOTHING in me” John 14:30. 

You are RESPONSIBLE for what you BECOME by how you handle what happens to you in life day by day. You can choose to stand on  your DOMINION rights and privileges in REDEMPTION through Christ Jesus stead, and in RESPONDING to matters with godly living, or you can go about REACTING – complaining, blaming, nagging, etc., thereby walking away from your DOMINION rights and privileges in REDEMPTION, that gives you the enabling to have leverage in an onward and upward trajectory over your challenges and difficulties irrespective of the source and cause. 

KNOW FOR CERTAINTY THAT YOUR RESPONDING MUST BE BY THE WORD – IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONTEXT – AND NOTHING ELSE AND MORE – OTHERWISE YOU ARE REACTING AND GOD’S WORD BECOMES INOPERATIVE FOR YOU IN THAT CONTEXT. 

Sometimes, someone might’ve brought you down to the ditch or valley you are in right now -maybe to use you for selfish gains or hurt your progress – but YOU must know you are RESPONSIBLE to rise above it.  Don’t stay in REACTING Mode, MOANING, COMPLAINING, NAGGING and even hurting yourself for nothing over the event, with no scriptural progress, just standstill and regrets. Meanwhile,  there’s a lavished opportunity to be an overcomer, triumphant, victorious, and a more than conqueror –  that’s embedded in your DOMINION IN REDEMPTION, awaiting you to turn the bad to good, to turn the mess to a message, turn test to testimony, and failure to success. 

“Now thanks be unto God, which ALWAYS causeth us to TRIUMPH in Christ, and maketh MANIFEST the savour of his KNOWLEDGE by us in EVERY PLACE” 2 Corinthians 2:14. 

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your MOUTH, but you shall MEDITATE in it day and night, that you may OBSERVE to do according to all that is WRITTEN in it. For then YOU will make your way PROSPEROUS, and then YOU will have GOOD SUCCESS “ Joshua 1:8/NKJV 

You can make a great DIFFERENCE in yourself when you choose to RISE UP RESPONSIBLY above your circumstances in grace. RESPONDING to life matters by your DOMINION IN REDEMPTION instead of REACTING is the lifeline to DEMONSTRATE and MAKE your DISTRACTOR wrong, and to BECOME an ACHIEVER in and through the MIDST of any situation that brought or kept you low previously. I know what I am saying, and I pray you get it right too. 

YOU CAN – RESPOND TO GROW FLOWERS OTHERWISE REACT TO GROW WEEDS – IT’S YOUR CHOICE AND YOUR CALL TO MAKE.  

You may not control your opponents’ ATTITUDES and challenges around you, but you are RESPONSIBLE for your ATTITUDES that define your ALTITUDE. Do life with your DOMINON rights and privileges in REDEMPTION, tackling MATTERS effortlessly with God’s word, standing steadfast in Christ Jesus, achieving greatness with God in an effortless condition of His grace and BLESSEDNESS toward your circumstances. 

If you MUST live in DOMINION, I say again, if you MUST live through DOMINION in REDEMPTION, you must be prepared to RESPOND in grace rather than REACT to daily circumstances driven by fleshly DEMANDS. Give no OXYGEN to the ENEMY and COHORTS and circumstances’ demands. Your realm in REDEMPTION is a mystery to all, and I hope and pray you know it for yourself without PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS and DISSIMULATION.  

 RESPONDING to MATTERS under the sun with your Dominion rights and privileges in REDEMPTION makes you mature, wise, and CALCULATING – like an Eagle to the prey, taking down the ENEMY and Cohorts. You SOAR IN DOMINION IN REDEMPTION, taking circumstances unaware, in grand style. But REACTING makes you cheap, unwise, and vulnerable to circumstances, to the enemy and cohorts’ intent, making you their PREY and VICTIM – which isn’t good for you, when you OUGHT to be soaring. 

Let’s learn from our Lord Jesus’ grand STYLE, WISDOM that brought the devil and cohorts down for our DOMINON IN REDEMPTION – Our Father God offered us His graciousness, endowed and endued us lavishly with the Holy Spirit of promise in Christ Jesus – thereby enabling us to live and walk fully in life and godliness UNRESERVEDLY, UNAPOLOGETICALLY and UNCOMPROMISINGLY. 

“Howbeit we speak WISDOM among them that are PERFECT [MATURE, WHOLE, COMPLETE]: yet not the WISDOM of this world, nor of the PRINCES of this WORLD, that come to NOUGHT: 7 but we speak the WISDOM of God in a MYSTERY , even the HIDDEN WISDOM, which God ORDAINED before the world unto our glory: 8 which NONE of the PRINCES of this world KNEW: for had they KNOWN it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory” 1 Corinthians 2:6-8. 

“Such hope [in God’s PROMISES] never DISAPPOINTS us, because God’s LOVE has been abundantly POURED [LAVISHED] out within our HEARTS [HUMAN SPIRIT] through the Holy Spirit who was GIVEN [ENDOWED, ENDUED] to us” Romans 5:5. 

RESPONDING IS A MAJOR ACT TO WINNING WAYS IN LIFE – NOT BY REACTING TO PROVE A POINT. RESPONDING IS BY THE WORD – IN KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONTEXT – AND NOTHING ELSE, NOTHING MORE.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” Genesis 1:26-28. 

“Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more DOMINION over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12. THERE’S NO REASON TO LIVE IN FEAR OR PANIC: FOR IN CHRIST JESUS – YOU LIVE, YOU MOVE AND YOU HAVE YOUR BEING! 

“For IN HIM WE LIVE, and MOVE, and HAVE OUR BEING; as certain also of your own poets have said, FOR WE ARE ALSO HIS OFFSPRING” Acts 17:28. 

LIVING – is living IN CHRIST; and Living IN Christ – is living IN the WORD; and living IN the WORD – is living IN the FAITH; and living IN the FAITH – is living BY FAITH; and living BY FAITH is living IN VICTORY; and living IN VICTORY – Makes you OVERCOME the WORLD or become a WORLD OVERCOMER in Christ Jesus stead – that includes the CHALLENGES of our times – WARS, PANDEMIC, ECONOMIC DECADENCE, NATIONS UNREST, INTERNATIONAL INDIFFERENCE, POLITICAL LEADERSHIP UNCERTAINTY and their respective effects. 

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For WHATSOEVER is born of God OVERCOMETH the world: and this is the VICTORY that OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, even our FAITH. 5 Who is he that OVERCOMETH the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:3-5. 

Therefore, FEAR NOT and HAVE FAITH IN GOD; for your life and wellbeing are hidden in Christ Jesus, and Christ Jesus is in God. So head up, shoulders high and put on the high heels of FAITH without fear, over the mountains and hills to make them level, and the Valleys to be exalted, and the crooked roads to become straight and rough places to become smooth, in God’s grace and BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.
