BUILDING UP YOUR PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH: THE NEED TO TREASURE IT! 

“Lay not up for yourselves TREASURES upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 but lay up for yourselves TREASURES in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE WILL YOUR HEART BE ALSO” Matthew 6:19-21 (Luke 12:32-34). 

I grew up knowing that one will always dignify, preserve, defend and protect what one truly and earnestly treasures in life and grace. 

And in the same essence I can say that: 
THERE IS THE NEED TO TREASURE YOUR PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH. 
AND THE ESSENCE OF BUILDING IT UP IN CHRIST JESUS’ STEAD IS GRACIOUSNESS, GRACEFULNESS AND BLESSEDNESS. 

And if I may ask you today — How PRECIOUS is your FAITH in Christ Jesus to you? 

For I do know that people will love to PRESERVE and TREASURE that which is PRECIOUS to them no matter what, especially in life matters such as — friendship, marriage, family, career, precious stones of silver, gold, diamond and the like. And they will actually contend earnestly to ensure that which they TREASURE is respected, preserved and kept away from rot and corruption; and will the more ensure that the enemy and cohorts to their TREASURED substances, are kept at bay — I mean far away from their treasured acquisition and substances. 

However, we live in times when scandals loom everywhere. And unfortunately in the Christian FAITH, some, as ESAU of the Old Testament, have already SOLD their FAITH for a piece of PORRIDGE, thereby losing his BIRTHRIGHT and the DEFAULT BLESSING accompanying it — Hebrews 12:15-17; Genesis 25; Genesis 27:35-37. 

And in some cases, the defrauding of their PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH is enormous indeed. Some have been betrayed, blackmailed, and some have been killed through greed, covetousness and wickedness to get to the acquisition they want in the high places of doing life and living godly. And all these, and more, are done to attain status and statesmanship without considering the effect on one’s cherished PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH. 

It’s very sad today. Some will mortgage their PRECIOUS FAITH in Christ Jesus in their desperation to keep status. Others will acquire things which their PRECIOUS FAITH in Christ Jesus has not been built up to handle, just to show off, keep pace, or impress their bank balance — and afterwards, REGRET privately and or secretly. 

Let us not forget that the JUSTIFIED in Christ Jesus shall live by HIS OWN FAITH, in the FAITH of Christ Jesus. And that life in Christ Jesus is lived by the FAITH which is of the Holy Spirit in God’s WORD, and not by the SENSES — hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, feeling — of human fleshly desires and instincts. Habakkuk 2:4; 2 Corinthians 5:7 

And if I may ask again — How VALUABLE and WORTHY is your PRECIOUS and MOST HOLY FAITH in Christ Jesus to you today? How much PRICE and PRIZE have you placed on your FAITH? Is your FAITH actually PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY to you? 

Considering your desperation to BECOME and to POSSESS what you think you should have; and knowing full well the PATH to have it is not of God, and it contravenes everything about your PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH in God in Christ Jesus’ stead. Psalms 16:11; Proverbs 4:18 

Beloved, your FAITH in Christ Jesus is such a PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY WORTH in LIFE and GODLY LIVING. And to ensure your PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH is preserved and protected, you MUST not go to any length, for whatsoever reason, to make it of NO EFFECT in the name of ANYTHING living or non-living. 

I pray that you keep your PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH alive — ablaze and aflame — through and through, in DOING LIFE and GODLY LIVING, no matter what comes your way in this life journey. 

The knowing and understanding that God loves you in Christ Jesus should embolden you all the way to keep on keeping on, to PRESERVE and TREASURE your PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH in Christ Jesus from any stain and desires of the world. 1 John 5:3-5; 1 John 2:15-17 

It’s time to take away the VILE from your PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH if you must be God’s VESSEL and MOUTH to be used to advance His kingdom cause and to keep the ENEMY and COHORTS at bay. Jeremiah 15:19; 2 Timothy 2:20-21 

If you are struggling to PRESERVE and BUILD your PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH, then uphold your FAITH by PRAYING in the Spirit — THE HOLY GHOST — through THE WORD of God. Seek necessary counsel for help where you need to, and save your life from rot and thieves that are parading in hearts and thoughts and in life. 

May you be BLESSED in Life and Godly Living, in your PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have OBTAINED like PRECIOUS FAITH with us through the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” 2 Peter 1:1. 

“But ye, beloved, BUILDING up yourselves on your most HOLY FAITH, praying IN THE HOLY GHOST” Jude 1:20. 

“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the COMMON SALVATION, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should EARNESTLY CONTEND FOR THE FAITH which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are CERTAIN MEN CREPT IN UNAWARES, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, UNGODLY men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ” Jude 1:3-4.

SUMMARY: 
The message is AN EXHORTATION TO TREASURE, PROTECT AND BUILD UP YOUR PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH 

It teaches that your faith in Christ is your greatest treasure — more valuable than earthly possessions. Just as we guard what we value, we must DIGNIFY, PRESERVE and BUILD UP our faith with grace, or risk selling it for temporary things like Esau. Faith must be kept alive, pure and ablaze through the Word and praying in the Spirit. 

KEY POINTS 

  1. TREASURE WHAT IS ETERNAL, NOT TEMPORAL
    Lay up treasures in heaven, not on earth where moth and rust corrupt. Matthew 6:19-21
    WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO. 
    Your PRECIOUS AND MOST HOLY FAITH is your heaven-treasure. It must be dignified and guarded.

    We have OBTAINED like PRECIOUS FAITH through the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:1
    People naturally PRESERVE what they treasure — marriage, career, gold, silver. Much more, we must contend earnestly for our faith. Jude 1:3 
     
  3. THE DANGER OF SELLING YOUR FAITH
    In these times of scandal, some have SOLD their FAITH like ESAU for a piece of PORRIDGE and lost their BIRTHRIGHT and blessing. Hebrews 12:15-17
    Others mortgage their faith for status or acquire things their faith is not built to handle, and end in REGRET. Defrauding of faith happens through greed, covetousness, betrayal and compromise. 
     
  4. HOW FAITH IS BUILT AND PRESERVED
    The JUSTIFIED shall live by FAITH — not by human SENSES or fleshly desires. Habakkuk 2:4; 2 Corinthians 5:7
    BUILDING UP YOURSELF on your most HOLY FAITH by PRAYING IN THE HOLY GHOST. Jude 1:20 
    TAKE FORTH THE PRECIOUS FROM THE VILE to be God’s VESSEL and MOUTH. Purge yourself to be a VESSEL UNTO HONOUR. Jeremiah 15:19; 2 Timothy 2:19-21 
    Keep your faith ABLAZE and AFLAME by the WORD and the Spirit. Ephesians 6:18 
     
  5. YOUR IDENTITY IN FAITH
    You are LIVELY STONES, built up a SPIRITUAL HOUSE, a HOLY priesthood.
    You are a CHOSEN generation, a ROYAL priesthood, a PECULIAR people called out of darkness into His marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:5, 9-10 
    The PATH of the righteous shines brighter and brighter. Proverbs 4:18 
    In God’s PRESENCE is FULNESS of joy. Psalms 16:11 

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. ASSIGN VALUE TO YOUR FAITH
    Ask yourself: How PRECIOUS is my FAITH? How much PRICE have I placed on it?
    Stop treating your faith as common. DIGNIFY IT. DEFEND IT. PRESERVE IT. 
  2. BUILD UP YOUR FAITH DAILY
    BUILD YOURSELF UP on your most HOLY FAITH.
    PRAY IN THE SPIRIT through THE WORD of God. This is how faith stays alive and strong. Jude 1:20 
  3. PURGE THE VILE
    Take away anything that stains or weakens your faith — compromise, wrong associations, fleshly desires.
    Do not go to any length to make your faith of NO EFFECT. Keep the ENEMY and COHORTS at bay. 
  4. CONTEND EARNESTLY
    EARNESTLY CONTEND FOR THE FAITH once delivered to the saints. Jude 1:3
    Seek godly counsel when you are struggling. Do not let rot and thieves steal your treasure.

DO YOUR LIFE A FAVOUR: “BEAUTIFY AND COLOUR YOUR WORLDS IN FAITH” IN CHRIST JESUS STEAD! 

“Therefore being JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have ACCESS BY FAITH into this GRACE wherein we STAND, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God“ Romans 5:1-2. 

It is a high-priced time to decorate, colour and beautify your worlds — family, career/skills, relationship with God and mankind, leadership, finance, ministry and the like — in the FAITH in which you STAND, in GRACE, in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

“That being JUSTIFIED by His GRACE, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life” Titus 3:7. 

You are the custodian of your happiness, joy, peace, dignity, honour and more. 
Stop looking for or pursuing your destiny as you may have been told. Your destiny is embedded and endowed in you in Christ as a default when you were saved, called, justified and glorified in fellowship with God in Christ Jesus — 1 Corinthians 1:9; Romans 8:28-30. You don’t have to run after anybody to get it or pursue it as in the Old Testament reliance on others to reach out to God for your enabling. 

YOU ARE YOUR DESTINY — it’s a default in you in Christ Jesus’ stead if you are born of God. John 3:3, 5, 16; 1 Peter 1:22-24. The scriptures declare you’ve been predestined of God in Christ to succeed, thrive and be happy — Ephesians 1:3-11; Romans 8:28-30. Meaning you’ve been PREDESTINED to succeed and achieve that excellence, success and goodness that you so madly and crazily desired to have and become in Christ Jesus. John 1:12. Your destiny is the you in you in Christ. Beautify and Colour it in Christ in FAITH. 

I don’t know what your ‘worlds’ seem to be at this very moment. But one thing I do know is that you can create the atmosphere of the gracious ‘worlds’ you will love to live in daily. 
Your FAITH in God through His WORD and by the working power of the blessed Holy Spirit can make all the difference. Hebrews 11:1-3 

Your intended worlds of excitement and rejuvenation, in respect to joy, peace, love, relationship, marriage, family, finance, career, ministry and more, are embedded and imbedded on and in your FAITH in Christ. Romans 1:16-17; Habakkuk 2:4; Hebrews 10:38; Galatians 3:11 

For God makes all things beautiful in His time. You are a part of that beauty. 
You are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image and likeness as the scriptures do record about you and all. You can DECORATE, FRAME, COLOUR and BEAUTIFY your worlds today with the atmosphere you will really love to do life in. 

I pray God’s grace and blessings upon you as you remain steadfast in Faith to colour your worlds in Christ. For it’s your time to manifest the fragrance and aroma of grace through the ACKNOWLEDGING of every good thing DONE in you, DONE FOR you and being DONE THROUGH you in Christ. Philemon 1:6; 2 Corinthians 2:14 

You are the reason why the earth was made and created — it’s now time for you to LIVE STRONG and LIVE REJUVENATED. Do your life a favour by beautifying and colouring your ‘WORLDS’ through ACKNOWLEDGED FAITH in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

God SHINES through His Church — The PERFECTION of His Beauty. You are God’s Church — that He’s building. 

Therefore, BEAUTIFY AND COLOUR YOUR WORLDS IN FAITH In Christ Jesus’ Stead. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. 2 Out of ZION, the PERFECTION of BEAUTY, God hath SHINED” Psalms 50:1-2 (Hebrews 12:22-24). 

“He has made everything BEAUTIFUL (Colourful) and APPROPRIATE in its time. He has also planted ETERNITY [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end” Ecclesiastes 3:11 (Amplified). 

“And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How BEAUTIFUL (Colourful) are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:15. 

“That the COMMUNICATION of thy FAITH may become effectual by the ACKNOWLEDGING of every good thing which is in you IN CHRIST JESUS” Philemon 6.

It declares that your destiny is already in you through Christ, and this is the season to stop chasing, start standing in grace, and use your FAITH to DECORATE, COLOUR and BEAUTIFY your ‘worlds’ — family, career, finance, ministry and more — because you are God’s workmanship and the PERFECTION of His Beauty.

  3. YOU ARE THE CUSTODIAN OF YOUR WORLDS
    You are responsible for your happiness, joy, peace, dignity, honour and more.
    Your worlds of family, finance, health, time, relationship, career, ministry are embedded in your FAITH. Romans 1:16-17; Hebrews 10:38 
    Through ACKNOWLEDGING every good thing DONE in you, FOR you and THROUGH you, you release the fragrance of grace. Philemon 1:6; 2 Corinthians 2:14 
     
  4. YOU WERE MADE FOR BEAUTY AND GLORY
    You are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image. Psalms 139
    God makes all things beautiful in His time and has put eternity in your heart. Ecclesiastes 3:11 
    God SHINES through His Church — The PERFECTION of His Beauty. Psalms 50:2 
    You are God’s Church, being built as LIVELY STONES to shew forth His glory. 1 Peter 2:5, 9 
     
  5. FAITH IS YOUR VICTORY AND YOUR FRAMEWORK

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. STAND IN GRACE, NOT STRIVING
    Stop pursuing what is already yours in Christ. Rest in the finished work. You are justified, accepted, and predestined. Titus 3:7; Ephesians 1:6
  2. BEAUTIFY AND COLOUR YOUR WORLDS
    Take intentional action in FAITH. DECORATE, FRAME, COLOUR and BEAUTIFY your family, career, finance, health, ministry and relationships. Create the atmosphere you desire to live in daily.
  3. ACKNOWLEDGE CHRIST’S WORK IN YOU
    Daily profess and declare every good thing DONE in you, DONE FOR you and being DONE THROUGH you in Christ. Let your communication of faith become effectual. Philemon 1:6
  4. LIVE STRONG AND REJUVENATED
    You are the reason the earth was made. Manifest the aroma of grace. Walk as an OVERCOMER because YOUR FAITH IS THE VICTORY.

PRECIOUS STONES YOU ARE FOR BEAUTY AND GRACE: YOUR PRECIOUS FAITH WITH PRECIOUS PROMISES ARE FOR YOUR BEAUTY AND GRACE IN CHRIST JESUS STEAD! 

As PRECIOUS STONES — Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds and the like — are for VALUE, BEAUTY and GRACE, in the same manner, so is our PRECIOUS FAITH with PRECIOUS PROMISES, to Decorate, Beautify, Colour and Add Value to our worlds, in LIFE and GODLY LIVING. 

To be PRECIOUS is to be upheld in high esteem. It thus means to be loved, beloved, cherished, darling, dearly prized, valued, treasured, adored, dearest, hallowed, venerated, revered, respected and many such like. 

PRECIOUS STONES is a name that is usually used in reference to four types of GEMS. Amongst DIFFERENT GEMS, there are only four PRECIOUS STONES — RUBY, SAPPHIRE, EMERALD and DIAMOND. And these PRECIOUS GEMSTONES — Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires, and Emeralds — are highly valued for their IMMENSE RARITY and HIGH-END BEAUTY, hence they are known as PRECIOUS STONES. 

And with all the devaluation and falls in economic downturn and meltdown of most goods and services, the WORTH and PRICE of PRECIOUS STONES have remained steadily high and at the high-end in many respects. Simply because of the RARITY, BEAUTY, ADDED COLOUR and TAGGED VALUE that are attached to them. Yet they are perishable in Scriptural terms and truth. None of any in worldly possession can REDEEM a soul or give LIFE and GODLY LIVING to anyone, apart from the wealth value attached — Haggai 2:8; Psalms 49:6-9; 1 Kings 10; 1 Chronicles 29; 2 Chronicles 9; 2 Timothy 2:20; 1 Corinthians 3:12. 

Unlike the earthly PRECIOUS STONES that are perishable in Scriptural terms, we have OBTAINED imperishable PRECIOUS FAITH through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Not only have we obtained PRECIOUS FAITH, we have also been endowed with God’s PRECIOUS PROMISES in His BLESSEDNESS for us in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

What an awesome people we are to go therefore and decorate, colour and beautify our worlds of doing life and living godly with God’s graciousness and gracefulness of a PRECIOUS FAITH based and founded on PRECIOUS PROMISES. 

All this is made possible depending on HOW much VALUE you’ve attached to your PRECIOUS FAITH — in terms of being eternal, priceless, rare, loved, beloved, cherished, darling, dearly prized, valued, treasured, adored, dearest, hallowed, venerated, revered, respected and many such like. 

Also, our Lord Jesus Christ is described as being our imperishable PRECIOUS and LIVING STONE; and by Him we have been MADE LIVELY STONES in GRACE, wherein we are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

It contrasts perishable earthly gemstones with our imperishable PRECIOUS FAITH and PRECIOUS PROMISES in Christ. You are called to see yourself as God sees you — valued, rare, beautiful — and to live in a way that decorates, beautifies and colours your world with Godly living. 

KEY POINTS 

  1. YOU ARE A PRECIOUS STONE IN GOD’S EYES
    Just as Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires and Emeralds are valued for RARITY, BEAUTY and GRACE, so you are upheld in high esteem by God.
    To be PRECIOUS means to be loved, cherished, treasured, revered and dearly prized.

  2. EARTHLY RICHES PERISH, BUT YOUR FAITH DOES NOT
    PRECIOUS STONES have high WORTH and PRICE even in economic downturns, yet they are perishable.

    But we have OBTAINED imperishable PRECIOUS FAITH and have been endowed with God’s PRECIOUS PROMISES in Christ Jesus’ stead.

    Our foundation must be laid on Christ — gold, silver, precious stones, not wood, hay, stubble.

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. SEE YOURSELF AS GOD SEES YOU
    Stop seeing yourself as common. You are PRECIOUS. You are rare. You are treasured. Walk in that esteem.
  2. BUILD ON THE RIGHT FOUNDATION
    Lay your life on CHRIST, the chief cornerstone. Build with gold, silver, precious stones — things of eternal value. Purge yourself to become a VESSEL unto HONOUR. 2 Timothy 2:20-21
  3. DECORATE YOUR WORLD WITH FAITH
    Go and colour your sphere of influence. Let your PRECIOUS FAITH and PRECIOUS PROMISES show in how you live, speak, serve and love. Be grace and beauty to a dark world.
  4. HOLD FAST TO THE PROMISES
    Through the KNOWLEDGE of God, His DIVINE POWER has given us all things. The PRECIOUS PROMISES make us PARTAKERS of the DIVINE NATURE. Meditate on them daily.

OUR TREASURED PRECIOUS FAITH: THE ESSENCE OF PRESERVING, BUILDING UP AND ENSURING OUR PRECIOUS FAITH! 

“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have OBTAINED like PRECIOUS FAITH with us through the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” 2 Peter 1:1. 

HOW PRECIOUS is your FAITH in Christ Jesus to you? 

I do know that people will love to PRESERVE, TREASURE and ENSURE that which is PRECIOUS to them no matter what — especially in life matters such as friendship, marriage, family, career, and precious stones of silver, gold, diamond and such like. 

And they will actually contend earnestly to ensure that which they TREASURE is respected, dignified, preserved and kept away from rot and corruption; and they will do more to ensure that the enemy and his cohorts with intent against their TREASURE are kept at bay from their treasures. 

However, we live in times when scandals loom everywhere — and unfortunately, even in the Christian FAITH. 
And some, like ESAU of the Old Testament, have already, if not now, SOLD their FAITH for a piece of PORRIDGE, thereby losing his BIRTHRIGHT and the DEFAULT BLESSING, as written in the Holy Writ — Hebrews 12:15-17; Genesis 25; Genesis 27:35-37. 

In some other cases, the fraud is enormous. People have been betrayed, blackmailed and some killed through greed, covetousness and wickedness to get at what they want, even in high places of trust. 

Unfortunately today, some will want to mortgage their PRECIOUS FAITH in Christ Jesus in their desperation for anything to help them keep and stay in their STATUS QUO, irrespective of the circumstances. 
Others will want to acquire things which their PRECIOUS FAITH in Christ cannot handle, just to show off, keep pace, and impress their bank balance — and afterwards, REGRET. 

“And now, brethren, I COMMEND you to God, and to THE WORD OF HIS GRACE, which is able to BUILD YOU UP, and to GIVE YOU AN INHERITANCE among all them which are SANCTIFIED” Acts 20:32. 

Let us not forget that the JUSTIFIED in Christ Jesus shall live by HIS OWN FAITH in the FAITH of Christ Jesus. 

And that the life in Christ Jesus is lived by love through the FAITH which is of the Holy Spirit in God’s WORD, and not by the SENSES of human fleshy desires and instincts — Habakkuk 2:4; 2 Corinthians 5:7; Galatians 5:6. 

And if I may ask again — HOW VALUABLE AND WORTHY is your precious FAITH in Christ Jesus to you today? 
What PRICE and PRIZE have you placed on your FAITH? 
Is your FAITH actually PRECIOUS to you? 

Considering your desperation to BECOME and to POSSESS what you think you should have; and knowing full well the PATH to have it is not of God, and it contravenes everything about your PRECIOUS FAITH in God in Christ Jesus’ stead — Psalms 16:11; Proverbs 4:18. 

Beloved, your FAITH in Christ Jesus is of such PRECIOUS WORTH in LIFE and GODLY LIVING. 
And to ensure your precious FAITH, you MUST NOT go to any length for whatsoever reason, to make it of NO EFFECT in the name of anything that is living or non-living. 

I pray that you keep your PRECIOUS FAITH alive — ablaze and aflame — through and through, in DOING LIFE and GODLY LIVING, no matter what comes your way in this life journey. 

The knowing and understanding that God loves you in Christ Jesus should embolden you all the way to keep on keeping on, to PRESERVE and TREASURE your PRECIOUS FAITH in Christ Jesus from any stain and desires in the world — 1 John 5:3-5; 1 John 2:15-17. 

It is time to take the PRECIOUS FAITH from the VILE if you must be God’s VESSEL and MOUTH in use to advance His cause and to keep the ENEMY and COHORTS at bay — Jeremiah 15:19; 2 Timothy 2:19-21. 

If you are struggling to PRESERVE and BUILD and ENSURE your PRECIOUS FAITH, then uphold your FAITH by PRAYING in the Spirit — THE HOLY GHOST — through THE WORD of God. 
Seek necessary counsel for help where you need it, and save your day all the way. 

May you be BLESSED in Life and Godly Living, in your PRECIOUS FAITH, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

SUMMARY 
The message is a solemn charge and call to PRESERVE, BUILD UP AND ENSURE OUR TREASURED PRECIOUS FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS above every other thing in life. 

It contrasts how diligently people guard earthly treasures — marriage, career, silver, gold — with how carelessly some handle their FAITH. It warns against selling our FAITH for temporary gains like ESAU who sold his BIRTHRIGHT for PORRIDGE, and it anchors us back to God’s WORD and the HOLY SPIRIT as the only way to keep our FAITH ablaze and aflame in LIFE and GODLY LIVING.  

KEY POINTS 

  1. FAITH IS PRECIOUS AND OBTAINED THROUGH RIGHTEOUSNESS 
    We have OBTAINED like PRECIOUS FAITH through the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ — 2 Peter 1:1. It is not common, it is costly.
  2. THE WORLD GUARDS WHAT IT TREASURES, SO MUST WE 
    People will PRESERVE, TREASURE and ENSURE what is precious to them and keep it from rot, corruption and the enemy. God expects the same intensity for our FAITH — Jude 1:3 says we must EARNESTLY CONTEND FOR THE FAITH.
  3. DANGER OF SELLING FAITH FOR PORRIDGE 
    Like ESAU, many are mortgaging their PRECIOUS FAITH to stay in STATUS QUO, for show, for bank balance, or for things God’s path does not approve — Hebrews 12:15-17. The result is REGRET and loss of DEFAULT BLESSING.
  4. FAITH IS LIVED, NOT FELT 
    The JUSTIFIED shall live by FAITH — Habakkuk 2:4. The Christian life is by love through FAITH in the HOLY SPIRIT and GOD’S WORD, not by the SENSES or fleshy desires — 2 Corinthians 5:7; Galatians 5:6.
  5. BUILD YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH 
    We BUILD up ourselves on our most HOLY FAITH, praying IN THE HOLY GHOST — Jude 1:20. The WORD OF HIS GRACE is able to BUILD YOU UP and give you an INHERITANCE — Acts 20:32.
  6. SEPARATION FOR HONOUR 
    If we must be God’s VESSEL and MOUTH, we must TAKE FORTH THE PRECIOUS FROM THE VILE — Jeremiah 15:19. We must PURGE ourselves to be VESSELS UNTO HONOUR, SANCTIFIED and MEET for the Master’s use — 2 Timothy 2:19-21. 
  7. OUR IDENTITY IS ROOTED IN GOD 
    We are a CHOSEN generation, a ROYAL priesthood, God’s PECULIAR people, called out of darkness into His marvellous light — 1 Peter 2:5, 9-10. This identity must be protected.

THE MANDATE TO OCCUPY TILL I COME

THE MANDATE TO – OCCUPY TILL I COME: INVOLVES FOLLOWING GOD’S PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT IN YOUR LIFE! 

“And he CALLED his ten servants, and DELIVERED them ten pounds, and SAID unto them, OCCUPY TILL I COME” Luke 19:13. 

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not DISOBEDIENT unto the HEAVENLY VISION” Acts 26:19. 

There is the CHOICE to make in life in terms of either being — FULFILLED in life and godliness [godly living] — or to make the CHOICE of being — MERELY SUCCESSFUL in life, as many have found themselves. 

And it is only by following God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT in your life that FULFILMENT in Christ Jesus’ stead comes to reality. 

That is what it means for one to earnestly enact the charged, assigned and commissioned mandate to “OCCUPY TILL I COME”, so that you do not just attain success but the fulfilment therein. 

“And say to Archippus, TAKE HEED to the MINISTRY which thou hast RECEIVED in the Lord, that thou FULFIL it” Colossians 4:17. 

The quest in the concept of “OCCUPY TILL I COME” is that you are prepared to let God be the lead in the concept, especially when you are subjected to circumstances that are different from your expectations, as Philip the evangelist experienced by following God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT for his life — Acts 8:1-40; Acts 21:7-9. 

As Philip the evangelist, in obedience — can you afford to move from a place of GLAMOUR SUCCESS to a DESERT PLACE in life when it is God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT for you? 

And especially when you know that in God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT, the ride and drive may not always be pleasing, but you can deduce that it is your place of FULFILMENT in Him. 

I want you to know for sure that doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus is all about following God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT for your life and possible ministry, rather than just having mere glamour SUCCESS for men to applaud and hype. 

Following God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT for your life is the only guarantee for God’s APPROVAL and your fulfilment in Him. 

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this PURPOSE the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” 1 John 3:8 (John 18:37) 

“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man APPROVED (ACCREDITED , ATTESTED) of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know” Acts 2:22/Emphasis Mine. 

“And we know [with great CONFIDENCE] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] CAUSES all things to work together [as a PLAN] for good for those who love God, to those who are CALLED according to His PLAN and PURPOSE” Romans 8:28/Amplified (Ephesians 1:11). 

“Study and do your best to present yourself to God APPROVED, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth” 2 Timothy 2:15/Amplified. 

A person who is keen only on a MERE GLAMOUR SUCCESS inclination and attachment will not see the need to leave such a GLAMOUR place to attend to a single person’s business, outfit, or Gospel ministry, as Philip the evangelist did in obedience — especially to go to such a place in the DESERT, (remote) which was accomplished by Philip the Evangelist. 

He saw obedience to God’s instructions as far higher, richer and more fulfilling, as written in Acts 8:8, 26-29. 

“. . . 8 And there was GREAT REJOICING in that CITY . . . 26 But an angel of the Lord SAID to Philip, RISE and PROCEED southward or at midday on the road that runs from Jerusalem down to GAZA. This is the DESERT [route]. 27 So he GOT UP and WENT. And behold, an Ethiopian, a eunuch of GREAT AUTHORITY under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure, had come to Jerusalem to WORSHIP. 28 And he was [now] returning, and sitting in his chariot he was reading the book of the prophet Isaiah. 29 Then the [Holy] Spirit SAID to Philip, GO FORWARD and join yourself to this chariot . . .” Acts 8:1-8, 26-40. 

“And when we had finished our course from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais, and saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day. 8 And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Cæsarea: and we entered into the house of PHILIP THE EVANGELIST, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. 9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy” Acts 8:7-9. 

And such obedience of Evangelist Philip to DIVINE order and command is only possible for a person whose objective is not about being successful or having global or glamour success, but about being in obedience and FULFILMENT in Christ Jesus’ stead in God. 

Evangelist Philip was someone whose goal was to be a disciple and follower of God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT; and one who truly believed in the WHOLENESS of God’s lead and would go WHEREVER the Lord LEADS, as Philip the evangelist did in Acts 8. 

Such an attitude towards God’s intent is what I call and consider as one who is — OCCUPYING TILL HE COMES and OBEYING THE HEAVENLY MANDATE or ASSIGNMENT, irrespective of the norm and prejudice that is about the person. 

Hence, I am asking you today — WHAT IS YOUR WORTH IN GOD’S BLESSEDNESS IN CHRIST JESUS? 
Or how do you VALUE yourself in life and godly living in Christ Jesus? 

Is it by material achievement called SUCCESS, or by being ACCOMPLISHED in God’s given vision and mission called FULFILMENT in His assignment, irrespective of the norm about you? 

Are you just a mere glamour SUCCESS-driven person, or a person of FULFILMENT in the heavenly assignment? 

It must be noted for sure that SUCCESS is good, and it is of God. However, God’s earnest desire is for us in Christ Jesus’ stead to have and achieve FULFILMENT, which is far beyond just being SUCCESSFUL. 

For we are blessed of God and He wants the best for us, and to have us be successful in our life’s endeavours — but not at the EXPENSE of His eternal PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT for our well-being in Him. Amen. 

So, there is the need to balance the pursuit for success and to be fulfilled in God by following His PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT for us respectively, as we are charged to “OCCUPY TILL I COME.” 

“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may SUCCEED and PROSPER and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually]” 3 John 2/Amplified. 

“BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath BLESSED us with all SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in HEAVENLY PLACES in Christ: . . . 5 having PREDESTINATED us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, . . . 11 in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being PREDESTINATED according to the PURPOSE of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will” Ephesians 1:3, 5, 11. 

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way PROSPEROUS, and then thou shalt have GOOD SUCCESS” Joshua 1:8. 

Unlike SUCCESS which is relative to all, FULFILMENT is not only of God, but it is a place of being readily, willingly and obediently set to accomplish in the wholeness, completeness and fulfilling of the Lord’s given and driven — PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT — in LIFE and GODLY LIVING. 

And it is in doing this God-given and God-driven charge in an unhindered and uncompromising way, with nothing of sorts outside God’s intent, just as our Lord Christ Jesus did — 1 John 3:8; John 18:37; and as Apostle Paul did in obedience — Philippians 3:1-16. 

And upon this same basis, others like Archippus were exhorted, admonished and charged to do likewise also, as written.

BEING FULFILLED in life and godliness [godly living] is about living a God-GIVEN and God-DRIVEN PURPOSE life; that is what brings about MEANINGFUL FULFILMENT in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead; which is far beyond just being a merely SUCCESSFUL person by material accumulation that has no heavenly implications under God’s assigned PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT. 

Therefore I urge you today to follow God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT for your fulfilment in Him, in Christ Jesus’ stead, because success is RELATIVE in matters of doing life and living godly. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this PURPOSE the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” 1 John 8:3. 

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. TO THIS END WAS I BORN, AND FOR THIS CAUSE CAME I INTO THE WORLD, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice” John 18:37. 

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his PURPOSE. 29 For whom he did FOREKNOW, he also did PREDESTINATE to be CONFORMED to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did PREDESTINATE, them he also CALLED: and whom he called, them he also JUSTIFIED: and whom he justified, them he also GLORIFIED” Romans 8:28-30.

“And when we had finished our course from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais, and saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day. 8 And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Cæsarea: and we entered into the house of PHILIP THE EVANGELIST, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. 9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy” Acts 8:7-9. 

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way PROSPEROUS, and then thou shalt have GOOD SUCCESS” Joshua 1:8. 

“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may SUCCEED and PROSPER and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually]” 3 John 2/Amplified. 

SUMMARY: 
The message is a Kingdom charge titled “THE MANDATE TO — OCCUPY TILL I COME: INVOLVES FOLLOWING GOD’S PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT IN YOUR LIFE!” 
Luke 19:13; Acts 26:19 

It calls the believer to choose FULFILMENT over MERE GLAMOUR SUCCESS, by aligning to God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT even when it leads to uncomfortable places like the DESERT. Using Philip, the evangelist as the pattern, and Archippus and Apostle Paul as witnesses, it teaches that true FULFILMENT is found in obedience, not in applause, and that SUCCESS without God’s mandate is empty. 

KEY POINTS 

  1. THE MANDATE IS TO OCCUPY TILL HE COMES 
    Christ DELIVERED us talents and said OCCUPY TILL I COME — Luke 19:13. To occupy is to actively do God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT, not to sit idle or chase men’s definition of success — Colossians 4:17; Acts 26:19.
  2. THE CHOICE: FULFILMENT VS MERE SUCCESS 
    You must choose between being FULFILLED in life and godliness, or being MERELY SUCCESSFUL. SUCCESS is relative and good — Joshua 1:8; 3 John 2. But God’s desire is FULFILMENT, which is far higher and carries eternal weight — Ephesians 1:3-5, 11.
  3. THE PATTERN: PHILIP THE EVANGELIST 
    Philip left a GLAMOROUS CITY with GREAT REJOICING to go to a DESERT place in obedience — Acts 8:1-8, 26-29. Later he hosted ministry in Caesarea — Acts 21:8-9. He valued God’s lead over reputation. His life proves that obedience to God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT leads to FULFILMENT even in hard routes.
  4. CHRIST AND PAUL: THE STANDARD OF PURPOSE 
    Jesus came FOR THIS PURPOSE to destroy the works of the devil — 1 John 3:8; John 18:37. Paul was NOT DISOBEDIENT to the HEAVENLY VISION — Acts 26:19. He pressed to know Christ, not just to succeed — Philippians 3:1-16.
  5. GOD’S PLAN CAUSES ALL THINGS TO WORK TOGETHER 
    God CAUSES all things to work together for good for those CALLED according to His PLAN AND PURPOSE — Romans 8:28-30. We are PREDESTINATED and BLESSED with all SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in Christ — Ephesians 1:3, 5, 11.
  6. APPROVAL COMES THROUGH OBEDIENCE, NOT HYPE 
    Jesus was APPROVED of God by signs and wonders — Acts 2:22. We are to STUDY and present ourselves APPROVED to God, rightly handling the Word — 2 Timothy 2:15. God’s APPROVAL follows FULFILMENT, not just ACHIEVEMENT.
  7. FULFILMENT IS GOD-GIVEN AND GOD-DRIVEN 
    FULFILMENT is being readily, willingly and obediently set to complete God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT in LIFE and GODLY LIVING, without compromise — just as Christ did. 

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. CHECK YOUR WORTH: WHAT IS YOUR WORTH IN GOD’S BLESSEDNESS IN CHRIST JESUS? Do you VALUE yourself by material SUCCESS or by ACCOMPLISHMENT in God’s assignment? 
  2. CHOOSE OBEDIENCE OVER GLAMOUR: Are you willing, like Philip, to leave a place of GLAMOUR for a DESERT if that is God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT for you? 
  3. TAKE HEED TO YOUR MINISTRY: TAKE HEED to the ministry you have RECEIVED in the Lord, that you FULFIL it — Colossians 4:17. Don’t be DISOBEDIENT to the HEAVENLY VISION — Acts 26:19. 
  4. LIVE GOD-GIVEN AND GOD-DRIVEN: Set yourself to complete God’s PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT in an unhindered and uncompromising way. Let your life move. 
  5. BALANCE SUCCESS WITH FULFILMENT: Pursue success, but never at the EXPENSE of God’s eternal PLAN, PURPOSE AND PURSUIT for your well-being.

BEING ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH: THAT IS FAITH IN THE FAITH – TO BEAUTIFY AND COLOUR YOUR WORLDS! 

We live in a gracious and graceful time of human history with God, in spite of the challenges and difficult times in the world. 

Unfortunately, lots of supposedly Believers in Christ Jesus keep making unwarranted noise about their inability to enjoy the BLESSEDNESS of the FAITH, while in essence, they are not even ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH. 

You cannot have Faith in the FAITH that you are not intentionally committed to be established in, and still expect to be Blessed in God’s BLESSEDNESS in it. 
God does no magic. He only COMMENDS what He COMMANDS; and His COMMANDS are INSTRUCTIONS and not ADVICE that you PICK and CHOOSE as in a cherry garden. 

Just as you cannot work in the National Postal Service and its wage rating and then expect to go and collect wages from the Civil Service pension pot, no matter how much interest you show towards it. 

A lot of Christians are living in one of these three: FAITH, PRESUMPTION, FOOLISHNESS [IGNORANCE]. 
It is either you are living by FAITH IN THE FAITH, or you are living in PRESUMPTION and FOOLISHNESS [IGNORANCE] IN THE FAITH. 
The last two will not guarantee you the BLESSEDNESS of God in the Faith. 

There is therefore the need now for you to consciously and intentionally make effort to see that you get yourself ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH, to ensure you are fulfilled, living purposefully and meaningfully in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

Faith in the done and finished deed of God in Christ Jesus gives you access to being ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH. 
And when you are established in the Faith, it becomes easier to be OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH. And by being OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH, it becomes easier to COMMUNICATE THE FAITH. And COMMUNICATING THE FAITH makes it gracious to beautify and colour your world in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

SELAH – PAUSE AND THINK. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; 10 making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. 11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be ESTABLISHED; 12 that is, that I may be comforted together with you by the MUTUAL FAITH both of you and me” Romans 1:9-12. 

“Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: 2 which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium. 3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek. 4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. 5 And so were the churches ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH, and increased in number daily” Acts 16:1-5. 

“And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH” Acts 6:7. 

“. . . 5 by whom we have received grace and apostleship, for OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name: 6 among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ” Romans 1:5-6. 

“I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, 5 hearing of thy LOVE and FAITH, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; 6 that the COMMUNICATION OF THY FAITH may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” Philemon 1:4-6. 

“And the TIMES OF THIS IGNORANCE God WINKED (OVERLOOKED) at; but now COMMANDETH all men every where to REPENT (Change of heart attitude/behaviour): 31 because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will JUDGE the world IN RIGHTEOUSNESS by that man whom he hath ORDAINED; whereof he hath GIVEN ASSURANCE unto all men, in that he hath RAISED him from the dead” Acts 17:30-31. 

SUMMARY: 
The message is a charge for every Believer to be ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH — which is FAITH IN THE FAITH — so that we can be OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH, COMMUNICATE THE FAITH, and beautify and colour our worlds in Christ Jesus, enjoying God’s BLESSEDNESS instead of noise and presumption. 

KEY POINTS 

  1. THE PROBLEM: NOISE WITHOUT ESTABLISHMENT
    We live in a gracious and graceful time with God despite the challenges and difficult times in the world.
    Yet many supposedly Believers keep making unwarranted noise about not enjoying the BLESSEDNESS of the FAITH, when in reality they are not even ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH. 
    You cannot expect to be blessed in God’s BLESSEDNESS in a FAITH you are not intentionally committed to being established in.

    Step 1: ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH
    Faith in the done and finished deed of God in Christ Jesus gives you access to being ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH. Paul’s desire was to impart a spiritual gift to the end that they may be ESTABLISHED — Romans 1:9-12. 
    The churches were ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH, and increased in number daily — Acts 16:1-5. 

Step 2: OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH 
When you are established in the Faith, it becomes easier to be OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH. 
A great company of priests were OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH — Acts 6:7. 
We have received grace and apostleship for OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations — Romans 1:5-6. 

Step 3: COMMUNICATING THE FAITH 
And by being OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH, it becomes easier to COMMUNICATE THE FAITH. 
That the COMMUNICATION OF THY FAITH may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus — Philemon 1:4-6. 
And COMMUNICATING THE FAITH makes it gracious to beautify and colour your world in Christ Jesus’ stead.

  1. THE GOAL: BLESSEDNESS AND PURPOSE
    There is therefore the need now for you to consciously and intentionally make effort to get yourself ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH, to ensure you are fulfilled, living purposefully and meaningfully in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. EXAMINE YOUR STATE TODAY
    Ask: Am I in FAITH, PRESUMPTION, or FOOLISHNESS [IGNORANCE]?
    Stop complaining about lack of BLESSEDNESS and check your level of establishment.
  2. GET ESTABLISHED INTENTIONALLY
    Root yourself in the done and finished work of Christ.
    Seek spiritual impartation, sound teaching, and fellowship that builds you — Romans 1:11-12. 
    Refuse to treat God’s Word like options in a market.
  3. MOVE TO OBEDIENCE
    Establishment must lead to OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH. Acts 6:7
    Obey instructions fully, not partially. God COMMANDS, He does not suggest.
  4. COMMUNICATE THE FAITH BOLDLY
    Let your life, testimony and service cause the COMMUNICATION OF THY FAITH to become effectual — Philemon 1:4-6.
    This is how you beautify and colour your family, workplace and community for Christ.
  5. REJECT IGNORANCE AND REPENT
    God COMMANDS all men everywhere to repent — Acts 17:30-31.
    Leave presumption and ignorance. Step into establishment, and you will step into BLESSEDNESS.

Final Charge: 
BE ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH. BE OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH. COMMUNICATE THE FAITH. 
That is how you enjoy God’s BLESSEDNESS and colour your world. Amen!

HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

“HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS”: FOR GOD IS FAITHFUL IN HIS FAITHFULNESS – IT IS HIS BEING AND HIS NATURE! 

“I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy FAITHFULNESS to all generations. 2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy FAITHFULNESS shalt thou establish in the very heavens. 3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, 4 thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. 5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy FAITHFULNESS also in the congregation of the saints . . .” Psalms 89:1-52. 

One thing is certain in life and grace, that is – LIKE BEGATS LIKE. A tree doesn’t give birth to an animal or mammal. A Lion doesn’t give birth to a Leopard or Tiger. Nor does a goat give birth to a sheep or ram, even with their proximity in likeness or characteristics. And if anyone wants to be godlike – as the Scriptures enjoin – one needs to “HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS”, for as He is, so are we in this world as written: 

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have BOLDNESS in the day of judgment: BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. 18 There is no FEAR in love; but PERFECT love CASTETH out fear: because fear hath torment. He that FEARETH is not made PERFECT in love” 1 John 4:17-18. 

One needs to know full well that WE ARE the OFFSPRING OF GOD, the SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE according to the Holy Scriptures – [(Acts 17:24-29; Psalms 100:3; 1 John 4:17-18); (John 10:34-35; Psalms 82:6; Genesis 3:5)]. It then means that we CAN live a FAITHFUL life and achieve GOOD SUCCESS with God when we dare to “HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS” for us in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“O Lord, thou art my God; I will EXALT thee, I will PRAISE thy name; for thou hast done WONDERFUL things; thy COUNSELS of old are FAITHFULNESS and TRUTH” Isaiah 25:1. 

The other reason we can achieve SUCCESS is because we are the SEED OF ABRAHAM – who was FAITHFUL to ‘HAVE IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS’ and therein prospered when he dared. The same enabling GRACE to be FAITHFUL to ‘HAVE IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS’ is available to us today when we dare. And it is irrespective of any of our challenges toward being FAITHFUL and to then PROSPER in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. [2 Peter 1:2-4; Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29. (See Genesis 13:2; 24:1)]. 

Our God is the FAITHFUL GOD – that is His NATURE and His BEING. He is the God of FAITHFULNESS – He lives within Himself – it is His NATURE and His BEING. And as such, in achieving life’s goals with God in Christ Jesus’ stead, it would be great for you to have FAITH in the  NATURE G.U. OF GOD, regarding FAITHFULNESS as found of Him in the Holy writ: 

  1. God is FAITHFUL to Himself in FAITHFULNESS. 2 Timothy 2:13. 
  2. God is FAITHFUL to His Word and promises in His FAITHFULNESS. Hebrews 10:23. 
  3. God is FAITHFUL to His covenant relationship in His FAITHFULNESS. 1 Corinthians 1:9; Hebrews 8:28-30. 
  4. God is FAITHFUL to forgive in His FAITHFULNESS. 1 John 1:9 (5-10). 
  5. God is FAITHFUL in covenant agreement in His FAITHFULNESS. Deuteronomy 7:9. 
  6. God is FAITHFUL to establish and deliver in His FAITHFULNESS. 1 Corinthians 10:13, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. 
  7. God is FAITHFUL to accomplish His part in the assignment that He gives to us in His FAITHFULNESS. 1 Thessalonians 5:24. 
  8. God is the and a FAITHFUL creator in His FAITHFULNESS. 1 Peter 4:19. 
  9. . . .. and many more of His FAITHFULNESS as recorded in the Holy Writ . . . Kindly read the HOLY BIBLE to know the more. 

Considering the above-mentioned NATURE OF GOD in being FAITHFUL, you can BANK ON HIS FAITHFULNESS in His GRACE and BLESSEDNESS concerning all things about LIFE and GODLINESS. This will give you the enabling LEVERAGE to abound the more in SHARING and PARTAKING of His promises in the REDEMPTION DEED, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

    Stop walking by the senses. Mark 11:22 — “HAVE FAITH IN GOD.” Anchor your heart, decisions, and confession on His NATURE not your circumstances.

    Hebrews 10:23 — Declare it with your mouth. Sing it. Proclaim it to all generations: “GOD IS FAITHFUL!” Psalm 89:1
  3. WALK IN YOUR IDENTITY
    You are GOD’S OFFSPRING and ABRAHAM’S SEED. Reject fear. Walk in BOLDNESS and PERFECT LOVE because AS HE IS, SO ARE WE. 1 John 4:17-18

ENACTING THE COMMISSION – “OCCUPY TILL I COME”! 

“And he called his TEN servants, and DELIVERED them TEN pounds, and said unto them, OCCUPY TILL I COME” Luke 19:13. 

“So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘DO BUSINESS TILL I COME” Like 19:13/NKJV. 

The Month of October indicates BLESSEDNESS. And by the knowledge and understanding of the context, it is my earnest PRAYER that you resolve to take a STEP OF FAITH in GRACE to ENACT the Month of October – “OCCUPY TILL I COME” – in order to fulfil the COMMISSION MANDATE to us all. Thereby, being EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

The Month of OCTOBER is the TENTH month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars, and it is the sixth of seven months to have a length of 31 days. Month October was originally the eighth month of the Roman calendar. It comes from the Latin word “OCTO” meaning eight. Later, it became the 10th month when January and February were added to the Calendar. And spiritually, the number “eight” is said to be a symbol of NEW BEGINNING signifying WEALTH, PROSPERITY, PEACE and FERTILITY. October is normally the time of the year when farmers HARVEST their crops.  

In the Northern Hemisphere October is usually considered the second month of AUTUMN. In parts of the Southern Hemisphere, it is associated with the season of SPRING. It is the seasonal equivalent to April in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. 

You can recall that in creation God gave man a COMMISSION MANDATE to take charge, subdue, have dominion, and replenish the earth by His enabling GRACE as written in Genesis 1:26-28. And in the same scenario, our God, through Christ Jesus, has recalled the essence of the great commission mandate to also “OCCUPY TILL HE COME” as written in Luke 19:13. We have become inexcusable if we undermine this great opportunity to SERVE God acceptably and WORSHIP Him worthily in the fellowship and partnership in the terms and context of His COMMISSION MANDATE. 

Therefore, to ENACT the NEW CREATION mandate – “OCCUPY TILL I COME!” – thereby ensuring we are EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED, we must be driven to note that it is also about the CONTEXT to ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD and to KEEP the enemy and cohorts at bay in our path of doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

I do know that A MAN’S IGNORANCEANCE IS HIS OWN MOUNTAIN, and THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH WILL SET HIM FREE. Hence, I therefore commend you to take time to PONDER and MEDITATE on this charge through and through in PRAYERS and where possible, ACCOMPANY IT WITH FASTING, even as the Scripture below does enjoin. 

“And now, brethren, I COMMEND you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to BUILD you up, and to GIVE you an INHERITANCE among all them which are SANCTIFIED” Acts 20:32. 

May you find FULFILMENT and PURPOSE as you take on Month October and enact this to the FULNESS of the capacity that our God has endowed you with – GRACIOUSNESS and GRACEFULNESS in His BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 
In Christ we are a NEW CREATION. Old things are passed away. 
God has reconciled us to Himself and COMMITTED TO US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION. 
We are AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST. Our OCCUPATION now includes advancing the Kingdom and representing Him on earth. 

  1. THE SPIRITUAL CONTEXT OF OCCUPYING

To ENACT this mandate means more than activity. It is to: 

ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD 

KEEP THE ENEMY AND HIS COHORTS AT BAY 

LIVE GODLY and DO LIFE in Christ Jesus’ stead 

SERVE GOD ACCEPTABLY and WORSHIP HIM WORTHILY in FELLOWSHIP AND PARTNERSHIP 

We are called to be EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED at the same time. 

  1. THE ENEMY TO OCCUPYING: IGNORANCE

“A MAN’S IGNORANCE IS HIS OWN MOUNTAIN” But “THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH WILL SET HIM FREE” John 8:32 
Therefore we are COMMENDED TO GOD AND TO THE WORD OF HIS GRACE which is able to BUILD US UP and GIVE US AN INHERITANCE Acts 20:32. 

  1. THE CALL TO ACTION FOR THE SEASON

The Month of OCTOBER speaks of BLESSEDNESS. Spiritually, the number “eight” signifies NEW BEGINNING, WEALTH, PROSPERITY, PEACE, AND FERTILITY. It is also HARVEST season. 
Hence the earnest PRAYER is that you take a STEP OF FAITH IN GRACE to ENACT this mandate to the FULNESS of capacity God has endowed you with — in GRACIOUSNESS and GRACEFULNESS in His BLESSEDNESS. 

You are charged to: PONDER, MEDITATE, PRAY, AND WHERE POSSIBLE FAST on this charge. 

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. OCCUPY NOW: Do not wait. Trade with what God has DELIVERED to you — gifts, time, resources, influence.
  2. BE FAITHFUL IN LITTLE: The faithful servant was given authority over cities. Your diligence today determines your dominion tomorrow. 
  3. ADVANCE AND RESIST: Occupy means both BUILDING the Kingdom and RESISTING the enemy. 
  4. GROW IN KNOWLEDGE: Deal with ignorance through the WORD, PRAYER, AND FASTING so you can walk in freedom and purpose. 
  5. LIVE WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW: Be HEAVENLY MINDED while remaining EARTHLY USEFUL until He comes.

BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND IN CHRIST JESUS’ STEAD! 

“. . . [2] And do not be CONFORMED to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be TRANSFORMED and PROGRESSIVELY CHANGED [as you mature spiritually] by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may PROVE [for yourselves] what the WILL of God is, that which is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT [in His plan and purpose for you]” Romans 12:1-2/Amplified. 

This season is marked by BLESSEDNESS. Our charge and focus remains: “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen!  

This speaks of the Blessedness of God by faith, it means you ARE being EMPOWERED to succeed, achieve, become and thrive in all that God has done in you in Christ Jesus. It is your season to authenticate [enact] and be ensured of God’s enabling – that by “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” in the grace, in Christ Jesus’ stead, blessedness will become your daily reality. Amen. 

This October is your season to be EFFECTUAL [productive and result oriented], in your redemption rights and privileges in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. For it is as you are “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” in the grace in Christ Jesus, that your essence in the Kingdom plan, purpose and pursuit of God will become tangible, reachable, liveable, lovable and indeed, your reality. 

By the knowledge and understanding of this October charge, it is my earnest PRAYER that you resolve to take a step of faith in the grace to ENACT – “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” – in order to live meaningfully and fulfil the commission mandate that is upon you and upon us all: to be Earthly useful and Heavenly minded, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

Therefore, as we take daily steps of Faith through this month in an onward and upward trajectory, I want you to know that as you are “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” in the grace, in Christ Jesus’ stead, you will not just survive – you will THRIVE in the grace.  

And through this Month, as we follow along in the teaching to explore more on this by God’s enabling grace, you will come to know what and why this is so relevant for you in the now, and all about God’s FULNESS. And in the cause of the expository teaching and preaching on – “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” – may you find the enabling of God’s grace in our redemption, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

The goal is not just success, but FULFILMENT — being earthly useful and heavenly minded.

  3. EMBRACE THE SEASON: Walk into the BLESSEDNESS of God for this month. Expect NEW BEGINNINGS, HARVEST, WEALTH, PROSPERITY, PEACE and FERTILITY in every area as you align with God. 
  4. LIVE WITH PURPOSE: Be diligent to fulfil the commission mandate. Be earthly useful and heavenly minded. Let your transformed life prove God’s will.

REACHING OUT – TO THE NATIONS: BE A VESSEL OF USE [PREACH AND PRAY] FOR THE NATION GOOD! 

“Nevertheless the FOUNDATION of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord KNOWETH them that are His. And, Let every one that NAMETH the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only VESSELS of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to HONOUR, and some to DISHONOUR. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a VESSEL unto HONOUR, SANCTIFIED, and MEET for the master’s use, and PREPARED unto every good work” 2 Timothy 2:19-21. 

It is time to be a VESSEL of USE, of CHANGE, of CREATION, and of INNOVATION in the KINGDOM — for the good and goodness of humanity. And it is also time to stop being an ORNAMENT or an IDOL for whatever reason, if you must be relevant in the kingdom cause of our God in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

You need to know this truth: it is when we ARE doing life and living godly as a VESSEL in USE, that we can keep the ENEMY and HIS COHORTS at bay for the good of humanity. In turn, we can then ADVANCE the good and goodness of others through the kingdom cause of our God, and we can equally partake in God’s BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

We live in a timeless timeline, and that is why we must be engaged relentlessly in the preaching of the Gospel to the known and the unknown, unto the ends of the earth. 

The preaching of the Gospel is God’s set opportunity to show forth His power for the good and goodness of human salvation. And it is as we faithfully preach the Gospel that we put in motion God’s default, de facto, for the end of the age and to bring back our King, our Saviour and our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen. 

“I am not ASHAMED of the GOSPEL, for it is the POWER of God for SALVATION [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek. [17] For in the GOSPEL the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God is REVEALED, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, “The just and upright shall live by faith” Romans 1:16-17/Amplified [Habakkuk 2:4] 

“And this GOSPEL of the kingdom shall be PREACHED in all the WORLD for a witness unto all NATIONS; and then shall the end come” Matthew 24:14. 

Therefore, be a vessel of God in use. Let us PRAY together after the PSALMIST in this act of PRAYER for the cause of the kingdom, thereby enhancing the good and goodness of humanity in the world. 
So, as we preach, let us pray as the psalmist: 

“O God, in mercy bless us; let your face beam with joy as you look down at us. 2 Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind. 3 How everyone throughout the earth will praise the Lord! 4 How glad the nations will be, singing for joy because you are their King and will give true justice to their people! 5 Praise God, O world! May all the peoples of the earth give thanks to you. 6-7 For the earth has yielded abundant harvests. God, even our own God, will bless us. And peoples from remotest lands will worship him” Psalms 67/LB. 

There is the LOVE of God that should persuade us and constrain us to ensure that we are relentless to PREACH the Gospel and to PRAY for the good of the nation, for mankind’s sake, on this side of heaven. 

This relentless Gospel preaching and praying is important and essential, as in the commission — GO YE! — until our risen Lord and Saviour comes. 

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All POWER is given unto me in heaven and in earth. [19] GO YE therefore, and TEACH ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] TEACHING them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” Matthew 28:18-20. 

“And he said unto them, GO YE into all the world, and PREACH the GOSPEL to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. [19] So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. [20] And they went forth, and PREACHED every where, the Lord working with them, and CONFIRMING THE WORD with SIGNS following. Amen” Mark 16:15-20. 

There is this LOVE of God for the world from the John 3:16 derivative concept that I have come to know during an expository opportunity. It is worth knowing, as it is written: 

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16. 

The Derivative Concept of John 3:16 

  1. For God: 
    It must ALWAYS be for God in all matters of the Gospel. The Gospel is for the advancement of the kingdom of God, not for self-gratification. It should always be FOR GOD — which means to PLEASE God. Any ministry that prospers is the consequence of having a “for God” purpose in mind.
  2. God so LOVED: 
    This indicates that the Gospel being PREACHED is Holy Ghost driven, with affectionate love. It must always be a LOVE-driven ministry. It is only based on LOVE that a ministry prospers and succeeds. Compassion must be at the centre. It was a major factor in Christ Jesus’ ministry. Apostle Paul was constrained by love — 2 Corinthians 5:14; 1 Corinthians 13; Romans 5:5. The spirit of LOVE makes Gospel ministry productive. 
    And love must ALWAYS be within the Gospel, as seen in these love-driven concepts, though not limited to: 
    a. Love His commandments. 
    b. Love His work. 
    c. Love the work of God. 
    d. Love His people. 
    e. Give your all in love to the work. 
    f. You cannot forgive without love. 
    g. You cannot reconcile without love. 
    h. Nothing succeeds without love.
  3. The WORLD: 
    Ministry must be globalised. It requires a global mindset. Not family level, not village, not limited to numbers in one community. God loves the world — globally. This must be the Gospel-driven purpose and concept in context.
  4. God GAVE — The Law of Availability: 
    God gave His Son, His skills, His talent and His all. Giving is the proof of our sincerity. The law of giving causes you to give attention to diligent work [Proverbs 22:29]. And nothing works until you work. Meaning, you give attention and give whatever is within your endowments to the work.
  5. God gave His “Only Son”: The Law of Sacrifice 
    That is sacrifice. He gave His best in life and ministry. He gave His only, without minding the consequences. The Gospel requires us to be able to make sacrifices — in good times and in challenging times.
  6. Whosoever BELIEVES: The Law of Faith 
    The Gospel requires believing by faith. One must be assured to believe in God, to believe in oneself, and to believe in the work of the Gospel for it to produce results.
  7. Everlasting Life: The Law of Impart and Impact 
    This speaks of the higher life. The Gospel must be impactful because of the impartation of the grace of God. This is the consequence of the Holy Spirit of impart and impact at work in the Gospel [Acts 10:38; John 4:19-30]. 
    For you ARE God’s ambassador in Christ Jesus’ stead, representing heavenly affairs in earthly affairs. Ensure it from where you are today, unto the ends of the earth. Amen. 

“Yea, so have I strived to PREACH THE GOSPEL, not where Christ was NAMED, lest I should BUILD upon another MAN’S FOUNDATION: 21 but as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand” Romans 15:21. 

LET US GO REACHING OUT TO THE NATIONS. 
BE A VESSEL OF USE — TO PREACH AND PRAY — FOR THE NATION’S GOOD AND GOODNESS IN CHRIST JESUS’ STEAD. AMEN. 

Thank you for taking time to personalise this prayer for the good and goodness of the nation [with your nation in mind], and for being a vessel of God in use and of change, for your nation to innovate, explore and create, and for such an atmosphere to solve human needs. 

Be blessed in God’s grace and BLESSEDNESS as you go preaching and praying to advance the cause of the kingdom of our God, and to keep the enemy and his cohorts at bay. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” John 3:16-18. 

“Therefore IF ANY MAN be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATURE (CREATION): old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath COMMITTED UNTO US THE WORD OF RECONCILIATION. 20 NOW THEN WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. 

“A WICKED MESSENGER falleth into mischief: but a FAITHFUL AMBASSADOR is HEALTH” Proverbs 13:17. 

“Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; 25 that frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; 26 that CONFIRMETH the WORD of his SERVANT, and PERFORMETH the COUNSEL of his MESSENGERS . . .” Isaiah 44:24-28.

The message is a kingdom charge to the Church to arise as vessels of use in this timeless hour — to PREACH and PRAY relentlessly for the nations, so that God’s salvation plan will advance, the enemy will be kept at bay, and humanity will experience the good and goodness of God until Christ returns.

KEY POINTS 

  1. The Identity: Be a Vessel of Use, not an Ornament
    From 2 Timothy 2:19-21, God is calling us to purge ourselves and become vessels unto honour, sanctified and meet for the Master’s use. The kingdom has no room for idols ornaments. Relevance in God’s cause comes when we are in active use — living godly and doing life as vessels through whom God works
  2. The Mandate: Preach and Pray to the Ends of the Earth
    We live in a timeless timeline. The Gospel must be preached to the known and the unknown, to all nations. Matthew 24:14, Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-20 confirm this commission — GO YE. This preaching and praying is not optional. It is God’s appointed opportunity to show forth His power for human salvation and to set in motion God’s plan for the end of the age
  3. The Motivation: The Love of God Constrains Us
    2 Corinthians 5:14 — The LOVE of God persuades and constrains us. The Gospel must be Holy Ghost driven and LOVE-driven. Compassion was central to Christ’s ministry. Without love we cannot forgive, reconcile, or see ministry prosper. The derivative of John 3:16 shows us 7 truths:
  • For God: All Gospel work must be to please God, not self-gratification. 
  • God so LOVED: Ministry must be driven by affectionate, sacrificial love. 
  • The WORLD: We must have a global mindset. God loves the world. 
  • God GAVE – Law of Availability: Giving our time, talent and all proves sincerity. Proverbs 22:29 
  • God gave His Only Son – Law of Sacrifice: We must give our best, in good and hard times. 
  • Whosoever BELIEVES – Law of Faith: Results come as we believe God, ourselves, and the Gospel. 
  • Everlasting Life – Law of Impart and Impact: The Gospel must impart grace and produce impact by the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:38; John 4:19-30
  1. The Prayer Model: Psalm 67
    As we preach, we must also pray like the psalmist — that God would bless us, that His way and saving power would be known among all nations, and that the earth would yield her increase and all peoples would worship Him
  2. The Authority and Promise: Signs Will Follow
    Christ has all power in heaven and earth. As we GO and PREACH, the Lord Himself will work with us and confirm the Word with signs following. We are not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation and the righteousness of God is revealed in it. Romans 1:16-17 [Habakkuk 2:4] 
  3. The Identity of the Believer: Ambassadors for Christ
    2 Corinthians 5:17-21 — We are new creations and ambassadors for Christ. God has committed to us the word of reconciliation. A faithful ambassador brings health. Proverbs 13:17 God confirms the word of His servant and performs the counsel of His messengers. Isaiah 44:26
    Romans 15:20-21 also charges us to preach where Christ has not been named.

  1. Purge and present yourself — Depart from iniquity and be sanctified for the Master’s use. 2 Timothy 2:21

  3. Pray like the Psalmist — For God’s mercy, for nations to know His way, and for harvest. Psalm 67 
  4. Live as God’s Ambassador — Represent heaven on earth. Innovate, create and explore solutions for human needs in your nation. 2 Corinthians 5:20 
  5. Keep the Enemy at Bay — By being in use, we advance God’s kingdom and partake of His blessedness until our risen Lord and Saviour comes. Mark 16:17-18
