THE HIGHER LAW – THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS: ASSURED THE TRUTH THAT GIVES FREEDOM FROM THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH!  

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” John 14:6 

“As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you ABIDE [CONTINUE] in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH shall make you FREE” John 8:30-32/Amplified. 

Every day, and in every phase of doing life, people crave TRUTH, without THE TRUTH. 

Employers want people of good character, with the assurance that such people will uphold the truth. 
The people elect leaders, and leaders appoint people to places of leadership and governance, on the basis that they will uphold the truth and be truthful in character. 
And people look to families, friends, colleagues, business partners, relationships, religious leaders and such like, with the hope that truth will be upheld in every situation. 

Unfortunately, that does not become the reality — because THE TRUTH is not factored into the context of truth, though it is expected. And that makes it elusive in so many ways. 

The simple reason for this is that people are not in tune with the higher law: the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:2 
So over time, people have lied, and are still lying, by using the language of righteousness to mislead people in their unrighteous acts of doing life as it is written: 

“For [God does not OVERLOOK sin and] the WRATH of God is REVEALED from heaven against all UNGODLINESS and UNRIGHTEOUSNESS of men who in their WICKEDNESS SUPPRESS and STIFLE THE TRUTH, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them” Romans 1:18-19/Amplified  

What then is THE TRUTH, and how can THE TRUTH factor into our being to become our reality in doing life and living godly in the grace? 

THE TRUTH is Jesus! He is not truth but THE TRUTH John 14:6. 
And when He is not factored into the context of our doing life and living godly in the grace, we fall into make-believe truth and not THE TRUTH. 

For THE TRUTH operates in the realm of the higher law — the law of the Spirit of life life-giving — that is in Christ Jesus Romans 8:2. 
And it is in the working of this higher law that we are set free. We receive FREEDOM from the law of sin and death — that which many desire to have within them and offer to others. But without Him, it remains an illusion to attain by human effort: truth without THE TRUTH. 

It is by you, the believing child of God in Christ Jesus, ensuring and assuring to be doing life and living godly by THE HIGHER LAW — THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS, that you can activate and actualise the FREEDOM in your innermost being. 
This enables you to live over and above the severity of the RUDIMENTARY PRINCIPLES of this world — which operate within THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. 

Otherwise, the intent to hope for THE TRUTH that is beyond facts will only end as fate, and not in faith — in the faith. For you cannot emancipate any man with anything less than a man. 

That is why the acts of sacrifice — like the killing of animals such as bulls, rams, turtledoves and lambs in the Old Testament — could not remit man’s sin and sinful nature, nor bring about wholesome redemption. 

For SIN, and its corresponding effects, are summed up in these three: POVERTY, SICKNESS and SPIRITUAL DEATH. 
These have been the daily life challenges of humanity — to overcome and be free from them in every aspect, context and concept of life. 

And to overcome and have freedom within, as a synergy to doing life and living godly in the grace, God used something higher than man, and in the likeness of man, to deliver and emancipate man from the bondage of sin and death. 

Sin — which is disobedience to God’s given instructions and commands — is the reason for POVERTY, SICKNESS and SPIRITUAL DEATH. 
And God’s command, especially when it is direct and specific, is not advice to take or leave. It is divine instruction to be obeyed with a willing and obedient spirit. 

The act of Adam disobeying the express instruction of God, knowing the intent and repercussion, was treason. It was like saying, “I am going to break your word intentionally, while you go and do your worst.” 
That “worst” has resulted in: POVERTY, SICKNESS and SPIRITUAL DEATH to all mankind. 
For though he himself was not cursed per se, the place — the ground — of his livelihood and cultivation was cursed Genesis 3:17-19. Ever since then mankind has had to work through the cultivating process to make a living. 
Adam died spiritually first, and in time he died physically. And because the blood — of Jesus, the Lamb — was shed to keep him clothed Genesis 3:21, he was saved eternally. 

Spiritual death results in and precedes physical death, and where there is no remedy, eternal death follows. 

That is why when THE TRUTH is not taught, not known, and is suppressed and denied with mere facts that bear no truth, then ignorance, erroneous living, foolishness and such like will crowd the minds of people. They will make and keep making false judgements about THE TRUTH in their lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 5:13-15; Matthew 22:29; Romans 1:18-32 

Furthermore, another effect of not having the assurance of THE TRUTH in context and application is that people resort to denominational indoctrination, religious dogmas, sectarianism, traditionalism and such like — man-made by-laws of dos and don’ts. Colossians 2:8-23; Galatians 4:1-5, 8-11; Romans 8:1-11 

And though in the days of ignorance God overlooked such things Acts 17:30, He now commands all men everywhere to locate THE TRUTH, because judgement day is coming. 

And by THE HIGHER LAW — THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS, we can know the truth that emancipates and gives ASSURED FREEDOM in the grace — without sentiment, prejudice or dissimulation in every context of life doing and living. John 8:32 

“Therefore God OVERLOOKED and DISREGARDED the former ages of IGNORANCE; but now He COMMANDS all people everywhere to repent [that is, to change their old way of thinking, to regret their past sins, and to seek God’s purpose for their lives], 31 because He has set a day when He will judge the inhabited world in righteousness by a Man whom He has appointed and destined for that task, and He has provided credible proof to everyone by raising Him from the dead” Acts 17:30-31/Amplified. 

“And now I commend you to God [placing you in His protective, loving care] and [I commend you] to the word of His grace [the counsel and promises of His unmerited favor]. His grace is able to build you up and to give you the [rightful] inheritance among all those who are sanctified [that is, among those who are set apart for God’s purpose—all believers]” Acts 20:32/Amplified. 

It is time to make a resolute, intentional and pragmatic decision to lay hold of the realm of the higher law — the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus — to enable you to be above, only and always, in the grace, in Christ Jesus. Amen. 

There is the bondage of the Adamic nature, the result of which was the curse of the fall. 
And to address the curse of the fall came the Mosaic Law with conditional blessings that were accompanied by curses — for sin, sinful disobedience, and death is the final consequence of disobedience. 

This cursed nature and its effects are what the higher law — the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus — has come to deal with. 
It assures and ensures that the redemptive freedom in Christ is actualised in you, in the grace.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH READING & PONDERING ON CONTEXT: 

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” John 14:6 

“As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you ABIDE [CONTINUE] in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH shall make you FREE” John 8:30-32/Amplified.

“There is therefore NOW NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For THE LAW of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me FREE from THE LAW of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh . . . 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also GIVE LIFE to your MORTAL BODIES through His Spirit who dwells in you . . .14 For as many as are LED by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God . . . 17] and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together” Romans 8:1-17. 

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” 11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” 12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.” 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith . . . 19 What purpose then does the law serve? “12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. “It was for this FREEDOM that Christ SET US FREE [completely liberating us]; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed] . . . 4 You have been severed from Christ, if you seek to be justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] through the Law; you have fallen from grace [for you have lost your grasp on God’s unmerited favor and blessing]. 5 For we [not relying on the Law but] through the [strength and power of the Holy] Spirit, by faith, are waiting [confidently] for the hope of righteousness [the completion of our salvation]. 6 For [if we are] in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only faith activated and expressed and working through love . . . 13 For you, my brothers, were called to FREEDOM; only do not let your FREEDOM become an opportunity for the sinful nature (worldliness, selfishness), but through love serve and seek the best for one another . . . 16 But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts] . . . 18 But if you are guided and led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the Law” Galatians 5:1-18/Amplified. 

“. . . For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. 5 For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.” 6 But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) 7 or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no DISTINCTION between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be SAVED” Romans 10:1-13. 

SUMMARY: 
This is a doctrinal charge calling believers back to Christ as THE TRUTH and to walk by THE HIGHER LAW — the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2). It contrasts human “truth” with THE TRUTH who is a Person and shows how freedom is only actualised in Him. 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. THE UNIVERSAL CRAVING VS THE DIVINE ANSWER

Every day, in every sphere of life — work, governance, family, business, religion — people crave TRUTH. 
Employers want integrity. Citizens want honest leaders. People want truthful relationships. 
The problem: They are craving truth without THE TRUTH. 
Because THE TRUTH is not factored into the context, it becomes elusive. 
Romans 1:18-19 — Men suppress and stifle THE TRUTH in their unrighteousness. 

THE ANSWER: THE TRUTH is Jesus (John 14:6). 
He is not an idea or a principle. He is a Person. Without Him, we fall into make-believe truth.  

  1. HOW THE TRUTH BECOMES OUR REALITY: THE HIGHER LAW

THE TRUTH operates in the realm of THE HIGHER LAW — the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2). 
This is a life-giving law. 
It is by this law that we are set free from THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. 
(John 8:31-32 )— “If you abide in My word… you shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH shall make you FREE.” 

Application: As believing children of God, we must intentionally ensure we are doing life and living godly by THE HIGHER LAW. That is how we activate and actualise FREEDOM in our innermost being. 
This enables us to live above the RUDIMENTARY PRINCIPLES of this world (Colossians 2:8, 20). 

Without Him, any attempt at truth is just human effort. It ends as fate, not faith. 

  1. WHY THE OLD SYSTEM COULD NOT FREE US
    The Adamic Nature: Brought the curse of the fall. (Genesis 3:17-19) 
    Adam’s disobedience was treason. The result: POVERTY, SICKNESS and SPIRITUAL DEATH came upon all mankind (Romans 5:12-17). 
    The Mosaic Law: Was given to expose sin. It offered conditional blessings with curses (Galatians 3:10-13). 
    But it was weak through the flesh (Romans 8:3). It could not remit sin or give life. 
    It was a tutor to bring us to Christ (Galatians 3:24). 

Animal sacrifices — bulls, rams, lambs — could not deal with sin and its effects (Hebrews 10:1-4). 
Something higher than man was needed.  

  1. THE REMEDY: CHRIST, THE WORD MADE FLESH

God sent His Son in the likeness of man (Romans 8:3). 
John 1:1, 14, 17 — “In the beginning was THE WORD… and THE WORD became flesh… full of grace and TRUTH. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and TRUTH came through Jesus Christ.” 

Through His death and resurrection: 

  • He condemned sin in the flesh Romans 8:3 
  • He redeemed us from the curse of the law Galatians 3:13 
  • He clothed Adam with blood Genesis 3:21 — a picture of eternal redemption 
  • He gives life to our mortal bodies by His Spirit Romans 8:11 

Result: “There is therefore NOW NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus…” Romans 8:1  

  1. THE CONSEQUENCE OF IGNORING THE TRUTH

When THE TRUTH is not taught or known: 

Ignorance and Error: Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 5:13-15 — People make false judgements. 

Religion and Bondage: People resort to denominational indoctrination, dogmas, sectarianism, traditionalism and man-made rules. Colossians 2:8-23; Galatians 4:1-11 

Suppression: Romans 1:18 — Ungodliness and unrighteousness stifle THE TRUTH. 

Though God overlooked times of ignorance (Acts 17:30), He now commands all men everywhere to repent and locate THE TRUTH, because judgement day is coming (Acts 17:31). 

  1. THE CALL: A RESOLUTE DECISION

It is time to make a resolute, intentional and pragmatic decision to lay hold of THE HIGHER LAW. 
To walk habitually in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16, 18). 
To be led by the Spirit (Romans 8:14). 
To stand firm in the freedom Christ has set us free with (Galatians 5:1). 

By THE HIGHER LAW we know the truth that emancipates and gives ASSURED FREEDOM in the grace — without sentiment, prejudice or dissimulation (John 8:32). 
(Acts 20:32) — “His grace is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” 

In one sentence: 
Human truth without THE TRUTH will always fail. Only by abiding in Jesus and walking by the law of the Spirit of life can we be set free, live above the curse, and inherit the grace of God.

THE NEW WINE – MAKES A NEW CREATION

THE NEW WINE – MAKES A NEW CREATION: A NEW CREATION MAKES A NEW YOU – NO PAST – TRULY FREE INDEED! 

“Therefore if the Son makes you FREE, you shall be FREE indeed” John 8:36. 

What is it that sets up your day, every morning? Is it the house you live in; is it the car you drive; is it the size of your bank account; is it the empire, business and enterprise you’ve established; is it the career you are in; is it the size of the Church and Ministry you go to or called to Pastor; is it the trophies or precious stones you’ve accumulated in life; and actually, WHAT SETS YOU UP EACH DAY, MY FRIEND? These and many such like, are worth pondering in all matters of doing life and living godly in grace, in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

For me, what sets me up and my day is the knowing and being assured that I am a NEW CREATION in Christ Jesus. That I am KNOWN of God, QUALIFIED by God, PREDESTINATED by God, GLORIFIED by God, CALLED by God, JUSTIFIED by God, and that I am in FELLOWSHIP with God to enhance my RELATIONSHIP with Him through my SAVIOUR and LORD, Jesus Christ. That’s truly indescribable, overwhelming and incomprehensible. 

“Therefore, if ANYONE is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; OLD THINGS have PASSED AWAY; behold, ALL THINGS have BECOME NEW” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV. 

“Giving thanks to the Father who has QUALIFIED us to be PARTAKERS of the INHERITANCE of the saints in the light. 13 He has DELIVERED us from the POWER OF DARKNESS and CONVEYED (TRANSLATED) us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have REDEMPTION through His blood, the FORGIVENESS of sins” Colossians 1:12-14 (NKJV) Emphasis Mine. 

The knowing that God LOVES me and that His presence LIVES in me, with me and for me — that makes it all the more PRICELESS. 
That, and many such like, too numerous to note within time and space, are what give me HOPE, FAITH and the needed LOVE to win my day — for me, for all about me, and for others — in doing life and living godly in grace, in Christ Jesus’s stead. 
Amen. 

Simply put: the knowing that the NEW CREATION that I have BECOME in God has NO PAST in Christ Jesus anymore. 
And my past, no matter how terrible and unpleasant it was, cannot hold back my today or my future anymore — because of what Christ Jesus has done: to wash it away into the sea of forgetfulness and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness by His precious and redeeming blood. 
Amen.

“Who is a God like unto thee, that PARDONETH iniquity, and PASSETH by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he RETAINETH not his anger for ever, because he DELIGHTETH in mercy. 19 He will TURN again, he will have COMPASSION upon us; he will SUBDUE our iniquities; and thou wilt CAST ALL THEIR SINS INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE SEA” Micah 7:18-19. 

What true freedom it is, to live assured by the eternal God, every morning and every day. 
The knowing that His steadfast love is new every morning and every day towards you and me is gracious indeed. Do you PERCEIVE the same in your being today and now? 
I hope and PRAY the same for you in Christ Jesus, that you might know what it means to be free indeed. Amen.  
What true freedom it is, to live assured by the eternal God, every morning and every day. 
The knowing that His steadfast love is new every morning and every day towards you and me is gracious indeed. 

Do you PERCEIVE the same in your being today and now? 
I hope and PRAY the same for you in Christ Jesus, that you might know what it means to be free indeed.

“Therefore, if ANYONE is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; OLD THINGS have PASSED AWAY; behold, ALL THINGS have BECOME NEW” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV. 

“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 FOR IN CHRIST JESUS NEITHER CIRCUMCISION NOR UNCIRCUMCISION AVAILS ANYTHING, BUT A NEW CREATION” Galatians 6:14-15.

“They are NEW EVERY MORNING: great is thy faithfulness” Lamentations 3:23. 

“Thou wilt shew me the PATH OF LIFE: in thy PRESENCE is FULNESS of joy; at thy RIGHT HAND there are PLEASURES for evermore” Psalms 16:11. 

“God is faithful, by whom ye were CALLED unto the FELLOWSHIP of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” 1 Corinthians 1:9. 

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the CALLED according to HIS PURPOSE. 29 For whom he did FOREKNOW, he also did PREDESTINATE to be CONFORMED to the IMAGE of his Son, that he might be the FIRSTBORN among many BRETHREN. 30 Moreover whom he did PREDESTINATE, them he also CALLED: and whom he called, them he also JUSTIFIED: and whom he justified, them he also GLORIFIED” Romans 8:28-30.

SUMMARY: 
This is a devotional message declaration calling believers to anchor their daily lives not in earthly metrics, but in their identity as a NEW CREATION in Christ. It contrasts what the world sets our day by with what should truly set us up — God’s grace, presence, and eternal work in us.

“THE NEW WINE – MAKES A NEW CREATION: A NEW CREATION MAKES A NEW YOU – NO PAST – TRULY FREE INDEED!” John 8:36 
In Christ, the old has passed away and all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. Salvation is not a patch but a total transformation. To be free indeed is to live with no bondage to your past. 

  1. THE PROBING QUESTION: WHAT SETS UP YOUR DAY?

Is it your house, car, bank account, business empire, career, church size, ministry title, trophies, or possessions? 
Charge: These and many such like are worth pondering. Do not build your day on things that fade. 
Doing life and living godly in grace requires us to check what we are trusting daily. 

  1. THE ANSWER: IDENTITY IN CHRIST SETS THE DAY

For the writer, what sets up the day is the assurance of being: 
KNOWN by God, QUALIFIED by God, PREDESTINATED by God, CALLED by God, JUSTIFIED by God, GLORIFIED by God Romans 8:28-30. 
And being in FELLOWSHIP with God to enhance RELATIONSHIP through Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord. 
This is described as indescribable, overwhelming and incomprehensible — because it is God’s doing, not man’s. 

Backed by: 

  • Qualified as partakers of the inheritance, delivered and translated into His kingdom Colossians 1:12-14 
  • Born again of incorruptible seed by the Word of God 1 Peter 1:23-25 
  • Called into fellowship of His Son 1 Corinthians 1:9 
  1. THE REALITY: NO PAST, FULL FORGIVENESS, FULL FREEDOM

The NEW CREATION in God has NO PAST in Christ Jesus anymore. 
No matter how terrible the past was, it cannot hold back today or tomorrow — because Christ has washed it away into the sea of forgetfulness and cleansed from all unrighteousness by His redeeming blood Micah 7:18-19. 
“He will CAST ALL THEIR SINS INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE SEA.” 
This produces HOPE, FAITH and LOVE to win the day — for self, for others, and for godly living in grace. 

  1. THE DAILY EXPERIENCE: GOD’S PRESENCE AND STEADFAST LOVE

The knowing that God LOVES me and that His presence LIVES in me, with me and for me — makes life PRICELESS. 
His steadfast love is NEW EVERY MORNING Lamentations 3:23. 
In His presence is FULNESS of joy and pleasures for evermore Psalm 16:11. 
Question: Do you PERCEIVE the same in your being today and now? 
Prayer: That you would know what it means to be FREE INDEED in Christ Jesus. 

  1. CLOSING CHARGE

Therefore, SEEK AND TREASURE THE GRACE THAT IS AVAILABLE TO YOU: it will make and enhance your becoming in Christ Jesus. 
DESPISE NOT your small beginning, for the New Wine is making a New You. 
TILL your land in diligence, walk with hinds’ feet on high places, and let God’s steadfast love set the tone for your morning. 
HEAD UP, SHOULDERS HIGH — you are qualified, called, and commissioned by God. 
From this day, refuse to be defined by your past, your possessions, or your performance. 
Be defined by Christ. Live assured. Live free indeed. Live as the New Creation.

LIVING BY THE HIGHER LAW: THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE – GIVES, ENSURES AND ASSURES FREEDOM AND EMPOWERS VICTORY AND DOMINION IN LIFE AND GRACE! 

“For the LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE in Christ Jesus hath MADE ME FREE from the LAW OF SIN AND DEATH” Romans 8:2. 

Do you DESIRE REDEMPTIVE FREEDOM in Christ Jesus’ stead? There is a HIGHER LAW that makes it all possible IN THE GRACE. It is by LIVING BY THE HIGHER LAW – which is THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE in Christ Jesus. It guarantees, gives, and ensures ASSURED FREEDOM, and EMPOWERS VICTORY and DOMINION in life and grace in Christ Jesus’ stead. And just as it is certainly written Romans 8:2, so also Galatians 5:1, 13, 16-18, indicates this freedom – when we ARE operating in the realm of the spirit of life and not in the flesh [the law of sin and death – that of bondage] as written: 

“It was for this FREEDOM that Christ set us FREE [completely liberating us]; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed] . . . 5 For we [not relying on the Law but] through the [strength and power of the Holy] Spirit, by faith, are waiting [confidently] for the hope of righteousness [the completion of our salvation] . . . 13 For you, my brothers, were CALLED TO FREEDOM; ONLY DO NOT let your FREEDOM become an opportunity for the SINFUL NATURE (worldliness, selfishness), but through love serve and seek the best for one another . . . 16 But I say, WALK HABITUALLY in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be RESPONSIVE to His guidance], and then you will CERTAINLY NOT CARRY OUT THE DESIRE OF THE SINFUL NATURE [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts]. 17 For the sinful nature has its desire which is opposed to the Spirit, and the [desire of the] Spirit opposes the sinful nature; for these [two, the sinful nature and the Spirit] are in direct opposition to each other [continually in conflict], so that you [as believers] do not [always] do whatever [good things] you want to do. 18 But if you are GUIDED and LED by the Spirit, you are not subject to the Law” Galatians 5:1-18/Amplified  

In life, there is no single educational system in the world designed to educate people to tell lies or cheat or run down government or to create any of the societal vices, or epidemics and pandemics in terms of sicknesses and DISEASES, or to create the INHUMANE, EVIL and WICKEDNESS we find in communities and societies and nations today. Do you know of any institution that teaches and lectures any of the things mentioned or such like? I can tell you such institutions would be cracked down on immediately by the state. 

However, in human nature there is A LAW OF NATURE in doing life – it is THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH, which is operating, knowingly or unknowingly, on earth in every phase of doing life. And everyone, by virtue of being born on earth, finds themselves exhibiting one or more of the traits of this law in their human nature and are affected directly or indirectly by the consequence of its operations. 

But there is another law – THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS. This LAW gives LEVERAGE over THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH [Romans 8:1-2]. SIN is the cause and effect for SICKNESS, POVERTY AND SPIRITUAL DEATH. And SPIRITUAL DEATH results in PHYSICAL DEATH, invariably resulting in some to ETERNAL DEATH, knowingly and unknowingly, in rejecting the redemptive freedom that God offers through Christ Jesus’ stead in the grace. For Apostle Paul found out that there was a struggle within him with the law of sin and death that was operating in him. This is also applicable to everyone that is not born of God in Christ Jesus, and though one may have been born of God, but has not allowed the Holy Spirit – who is the governance of THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT AND LIFE in Christ Jesus – to take hold and have pre-eminence over their well-being in total. 

“For I joyfully delight in THE LAW of God in my inner self [with my new nature], 23 but I see a different law and rule of action in the members of my body [in its appetites and desires], WAGING WAR AGAINST THE LAW OF MY MIND and subduing me and making me a prisoner of THE LAW OF SIN which is within my members. 24 Wretched and miserable man that I am! Who will [rescue me and] set me free from this body of death [this corrupt, mortal existence]? 25 Thanks be to God [for my deliverance] THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with MY MIND [SPIRIT-MIND] SERVE THE LAW of God, but on the other, with MY FLESH [my HUMAN NATURE, my WORLDLINESS, my SINFUL CAPACITY—I SERVE] THE LAW OF SIN” Romans 7:22-25/AMP. 

Hence THE HIGHER LAW is the LAW that enables one to live in DOMINION over All bondages which are the consequence and effect of THE SIN NATURE: POVERTY, SICKNESS and SPIRITUAL DEATH.

Therefore, it is imperative that you CONNECT to THE HIGHER LAW today, and live FREE in Christ for VIRTUE and GLORY. 

I urge you, therefore, in Christ Jesus’ stead, to STRIVE LAWFULLY on THE HIGHER LAW in order to WIN in life, to live in DOMINION and VICTORY and to be FULFILLED – all effortlessly and without sweat in God’s GRACE and BLESSEDNESS. 

“And if a man also STRIVE FOR MASTERIES, yet is he NOT CROWNED, except he STRIVE LAWFULLY” 2 Timothy 2:5. 

LIVING BY THE HIGHER LAW – THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS – SETS ONE FREE AND KEEPS ONE IN THE REALM OF DOMINION. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“For the LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE in Christ Jesus hath MADE ME FREE from the LAW OF SIN AND DEATH” Romans 8:2. 

“And if a man also STRIVE FOR MASTERIES, yet is he not crowned, except he STRIVE LAWFULLY” 2 Timothy 2:5. 

“Therefore there is NOW NO CONDEMNATION [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who ARE in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]. 2 For THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our NEW BEING] has set you FREE from THE LAW OF SIN AND OF DEATH. 3 For what THE LAW could not do [that is, OVERCOME sin and REMOVE its PENALTY, its POWER] being weakened by THE FLESH [man’s nature WITHOUT the Holy Spirit], God did: He sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful man as an offering for sin. And He CONDEMNED SIN in THE FLESH [SUBDUED it and OVERCAME it in the person of His own Son], 4 so that the [righteous and just] requirement of the Law might be FULFILLED in us who do not live our lives in THE WAYS OF THE FLESH [guided by worldliness and our sinful nature], but [live our lives] in THE WAYS OF THE SPIRIT [guided by His power]. 5 For those who are living according to the flesh set their minds on the things of THE FLESH [which gratify the body], but those who are living according to THE SPIRIT, [set their minds on] the things of the Spirit [His will and purpose]. 6 Now THE MIND OF THE FLESH IS DEATH [both now and forever—because it pursues sin]; but THE MIND OF THE SPIRIT is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever]; 7 THE MIND OF THE FLESH [with its sinful pursuits] is ACTIVELY HOSTILE to God. It does not SUBMIT itself to God’s law, since it cannot, 8 and those who ARE in the flesh [living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses] CANNOT PLEASE God” Romans 8:1-8/AMP. 

SUMMARY: 

This is a doctrinal and prophetic charge calling Believers to transition from bondage into freedom by operating under THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS instead of THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. 

  1. THE CENTRAL CONTRAST: TWO LAWS GOVERNING HUMANITY

The message presents 2 opposing governing laws at work in “doing life”: 

THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH 
This is the default “LAW OF NATURE” operating in every human by virtue of birth on earth. 
Effect: It produces SICKNESS, POVERTY, SPIRITUAL DEATH → PHYSICAL DEATH → ETERNAL DEATH for those who reject God’s redemptive freedom. 
It manifests as societal vices, inhumanity, evil, wickedness, and the struggle Paul described in Romans 7:22-25. Even a born-again Believer experiences this struggle if they do not yield to the Holy Spirit. 
Key Text: Romans 7:23, 24-25 

THE HIGHER LAW: THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS 
This is the governing principle of the New Creation. 
Effect: It GIVES LEVERAGE over the law of sin and death. It GUARANTEES, ENSURES and ASSURES FREEDOM, and EMPOWERS VICTORY and DOMINION. Romans 8:1-2 
It sets one free and keeps one in the realm of DOMINION. 

  1. THE PROBLEM: BONDAGE OF THE FLESH

No educational system teaches people to lie, cheat, or create epidemics and wickedness. Yet these exist because of the law of sin and death in human nature. 
Romans 8:6-8 explains: THE MIND OF THE FLESH IS DEATH and is ACTIVELY HOSTILE to God. Those in the flesh CANNOT PLEASE God. 
The Law itself was weak to overcome this because of the flesh. Romans 8:3 

  1. THE SOLUTION: REDEMPTION AND THE SPIRIT

God solved this by sending Christ. He CONDEMNED SIN in the flesh so that the requirement of the Law might be FULFILLED in us who walk in THE WAYS OF THE SPIRIT.Romans 8:3-4 
Therefore there is NOW NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus.Romans 8:1 
Freedom is not lawlessness. It is freedom to serve in love, not an opportunity for the sinful nature. Galatians 5:1, 13 
It requires: WALKING HABITUALLY in the Spirit and being GUIDED and LED by the Spirit. Galatians 5:16, 18 

  1. THE IMPERATIVE: STRIVE LAWFULLY ON THE HIGHER LAW

Because the Higher Law exists, it is imperative that every Believer CONNECT to THE HIGHER LAW today to live FREE for VIRTUE and GLORY. 
This requires STRIVING LAWFULLY — just as an athlete is not crowned except, he strives lawfully. 2 Timothy 2:5 
Purpose of striving lawfully: 

To WIN in life 

To live in DOMINION and VICTORY 

To be FULFILLED — effortlessly and without sweat in God’s GRACE and BLESSEDNESS. 

This is not mental exertion, but Spirit-energised living under grace. 

  1. SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS FOR PONDERING

The message anchors on 3 key passages: 

Romans 8:1-8 AMP: The law of the Spirit of Life has set us free. We are to set our minds on the Spirit, not the flesh, to experience life and peace. 

Romans 7:22-25 AMP: The internal war between the law of God in the inner man and the law of sin in the members. Deliverance is THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord. 

Galatians 5:1-18 AMP: Called to Freedom. Do not use freedom for the sinful nature. Walk in the Spirit to not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 

  1. OVERALLBURDEN 

LIVING BY THE HIGHER LAW — THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS — SETS ONE FREE AND KEEPS ONE IN THE REALM OF DOMINION. 
The burden is to call the Church to reject the operation of sin, sickness, and poverty, and to embrace Spirit-governed, grace-empowered, lawful living. Only then can a Believer experience assured freedom, dominion, and fulfilment.

JESUS CHRIST – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM

JESUS CHRIST – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM: FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMAS, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, BIGOT AND SUCH LIKE – GET CONNECTED TO HIM! 

“It was for this FREEDOM that Christ SET US FREE [completely liberating us]; therefore keep STANDING FIRM and do not be SUBJECT AGAIN to a YOKE of SLAVERY [which you once removed]” Galatians 5:1 (Amplified). 

You don’t have to look too far away from you to note, through the mirror of life, that the entire world is interconnected, and is built up and built on and built by many communities of like-minded people – each with various unions, associations and passions in many respects. Their coming together is for a common cause and purpose, and they are in the course to create, promote, explore, initiate and enhance a kind of FEEEDOM to meet a particular interest. 

The irony of life is that all these various acts of coming together -whether at International, national, community, workplace, street and the family-enforced levels – have NOT given any of us the genuine, total FREEDOM so much desired, anticipated and expected to experience in its fulness. And knowingly and unknowingly, in most of these various cases, what they once considered as FREEDOM has become the foundation for another unidentified and unaccounted-for bondage. Unfortunately, the entanglement in its causes and course comes at a cost – and an enormous one in various ways. And the changes made with time to suit or solve one problem have created another in many other ways. Hence some have folded up, others are surviving instead of thriving, and many others are just in existence, counting time by and by for the next move. 

It is therefore imperative to know that the allegiance to all forms of man-made STATUES and ARCHITECTURAL IMAGES that have been believed, revered, adored and adopted in some places as such – all in the name of serving as symbols or landmarks – are in fact classed in SCRIPTURAL terms as IDOLS. Especially when you examine the reason for such high-place STATUES and SYMBOLIC IMAGES on our high streets, in City Centres, and other designated high places. Most times they depict, in essence, ENSLAVEMENT, BONDAGE, INSULT, SEGREGATION, MARGINALISATION and such like – because what they once signified in a particular generation and dispensation is no longer welcome or honourable to another generation. That is why the only true FREEDOM is that which is of God in Christ Jesus – LIVING IN OUR HEARTS beyond dispensation, generation and walls of any sort. For God’s FREEDOM for us all in Christ Jesus is impartial, and it is without sentiment, prejudice and dissimulation. It is beyond walls and without respect of persons.  

“. . . 21 Little children [believers, dear ones], GUARD YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS— [false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would TAKE God’s PLACE IN YOUR HEART]” 1 John 5:18-21/Amplified. 

It is because of the above narrative and such like, that Apostle Paul shared scriptural TRUTH in Acts 17:15-34, in his response to the ATHENIANS’ superstition and devotion to graven image altars, which they ascribed to their UNKNOWN GOD. A community sold out to STATUES – Modernised IDOLS today. Thanks be to God in His awesomeness; He used Apostle Paul to bring the ATHENIANS out of their superstitious bondage and to see the essence of knowing the true God. Apostle Paul made them know and understand that it’s in God that they are MADE to LIVE, to MOVE and to HAVE THEIR TRUE BEING; and he therein told them about the true FREEDOM that they EARNESTLY craved and desired to have – not from the STATUES DEPICTED in their City Centre and Community places that serve as Landmarks of greatness for admiration and devotion, even for many today. 

“. . . 16 Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was greatly angered when he saw that the CITY was full of IDOLS. 17 So he had discussions in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place day after day with any who happened to be there . . . 22 So Paul, standing in the center of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I observe [with every turn I make throughout the city] that you are very religious and devout in all respects. 23 Now as I was going along and carefully looking at your objects of worship, I came to an ALTAR with this inscription: ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you already worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. 24 The God who CREATED the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; 25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, because it is He who gives to all [people] life and breath and all things. 26 And He MADE from one man every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands and territories. 27 This was so that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grasp for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. 28 For in Him we LIVE and MOVE and EXIST [that is, in Him we actually HAVE OUR BEING], as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ . . .” Acts 17:15-34/Amplified. 

Be it known today as a way of reminder, that our Saviour and Lord Christ Jesus has made possible the true FREEDOM to all, and He has offered it to all without PREJUDICE, SENTIMENT, DOGMA, HYPOCRISY and such like. I, therefore, as God’s servant, hereby beckon, beg and urge YOU in the same Apostolic similitude, to resolve to CONNECT to Christ Jesus today in order to enjoy the FREEDOM that is genuine – without controversy and diabolical sentiments (1 Timithy 3:16)- instead of bowing to dumb IDOLS DEPICTED in STATUES and SYMBOLS for meaningless causes other than to offend another. Hence, I say you: 

JESUS CHRIST IS – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM – THE FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMA, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENT, BIGOTRY AND SUCH LIKE – GET CONNECTED TO HIM AND LIVE FREE IN HIS GRACE TO STAND TALL IN HIS POWER AND MIGHT IN GOD. AMEN. 

SELAH – PAUSE AND THINK. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“And [if you] are CONFIDENT that you are a [qualified] GUIDE to the blind [those untaught in theology], a LIGHT to those who are in darkness, 20 and [that you are] a CORRECTOR of the foolish, a TEACHER of the [spiritually] childish, having in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and of the truth— 21 well then, you who TEACH others, do you not teach yourself? You who PREACH against stealing, do you steal [in ways that are discrete, but just as sinful]? 22 You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who detest IDOLS, do you rob [pagan] temples [of valuable idols and offerings]?” Romans 2:19-22 Amplified.

“We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God DOES NOT habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. 19 We know [for a fact] that we ARE of God, and the whole world [around us] lies in the power of the evil one [opposing God and His precepts]. 20 And we [have seen and] know [by personal experience] that the Son of God has [actually] come [to this world] and has given us understanding and insight so that we may [progressively and personally] know Him who is true; and we ARE in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 21 Little children (believers, dear ones), GUARD YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS— [false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God’s place in your heart]” 1 John 5:18-21 Amplified. 

“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. 18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? 19 What say I then? THAT THE IDOL IS ANY THING, OR THAT WHICH IS OFFERED IN SACRIFICE TO IDOLS IS ANY THING? 20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they SACRIFICE TO DEVILS, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have FELLOWSHIP WITH DEVILS. 21 Ye cannot DRINK the cup of the Lord, and the cup of DEVILS: ye cannot be PARTAKERS of the Lord’s table, and of the TABLE OF DEVILS. 22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?” 1 Corinthians 10:16-22. 

SUMMARY: 

This message is a prophetic call to abandon man-made idols and false systems of freedom, and to CONNECT to Jesus Christ — the only One who gives true, complete, and lasting FREEDOM without prejudice, hypocrisy, or bondage.

    Interconnected but bound — The world is built by communities, unions, associations, and causes all chasing a version of “freedom.” 
    The irony — What one generation calls freedom becomes bondage for the next. Solving one problem creates another. 
    The result — Many have folded up, others are just surviving, and many are merely existing, waiting for the next move. No human system has given us the genuine, total freedom we desire. 
  1. MAN-MADEIDOLS ARE BONDAGE IN DISGUISE 
    Statues & Symbols — Allegiance to man-made STATUES and ARCHITECTURAL IMAGES in city centres and high places are, in SCRIPTURAL terms, IDOLS [1 John 5:21]. 
    What they depict — ENSLAVEMENT, BONDAGE, INSULT, SEGREGATION, MARGINALISATION. What was revered in one generation is rejected in another. 
    Spiritual reality — “The things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they SACRIFICE TO DEVILS, and not to God” [1 Corinthians 10:20]. 
    “GUARD YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS — [anything that would TAKE God’s PLACE IN YOUR HEART]” [1 John 5:21]. 
  1. THE ATHENIAN EXAMPLE: FROM IDOLS TO THE TRUE GOD [Acts 17:15-34]
    Athens was full of idols — Paul’s spirit was provoked by a city sold out to graven images and an altar “TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.” 
    Paul’s proclamation: 
    God does not dwell in temples made with hands [Acts 17:24] 
    “In Him we LIVE and MOVE and HAVE OUR BEING” [Acts 17:28] 
    He “GIVES to all LIFE and BREATH and all things” [Acts 17:25] 
    He made all nations so they would “seek God and find Him” [Acts 17:27] 
    Outcome: Paul led them out of superstitious bondage into the knowledge of the true God. 
  1. JESUS CHRIST: THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM
    Freedom without… — HYPOCRISY, DOGMA, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENT, BIGOTRY and such like. Offered to ALL without respect of persons. 
    Christ’s declaration — “It was for this FREEDOM that Christ SET US FREE [completely liberating us]; therefore keep STANDING FIRM and do not be SUBJECT AGAIN to a YOKE of SLAVERY” [Galatians 5:1]. 
    Where freedom lives — In our hearts, beyond generation, dispensation, and walls. Impartial and genuine. 
  1. SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS TO PONDER
    Romans 2:19-22 — Don’t condemn idols while compromising with them. 
    1 Corinthians 10:16-22 — You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils. 
    1 John 5:18-21 — We are of God. The world lies in the evil one. Guard your heart from idols. 

CALL TO ACTION 

I, therefore, as God’s servant, hereby beckon, beg and urge YOU in the same Apostolic similitude: 

  1. RESOLVE TO CONNECT TO CHRIST JESUS TODAY — Turn away from dumb idols depicted in statues and symbols for meaningless causes. 
  2. STAND FIRM IN CHRIST’S FREEDOM — Do not go back to a yoke of slavery [Galatians 5:1]. 
  3. LIVE FREE IN HIS GRACE — Stand tall in His power and might in God. 
  4. GUARD YOUR HEART — Let nothing take God’s place in you. 

DECLARATION: 
JESUS CHRIST IS — THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM — THE FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMA, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENT, BIGOTRY AND SUCH LIKE.

BEING JUSTIFIED BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS: THERE’S NOW – NO MORE CONDEMNATION – IN CHRIST JESUS! 

“But God, who is RICH in MERCY, for his great LOVE wherewith He LOVED US, 5 even when we were dead in sins, hath QUICKENED US together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 and hath RAISED US up together, and MADE US sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness TOWARD US through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast” Ephesians 2:4-9. 

What a freedom! What an awesome, gracious and graceful life to live now and always – on an ONWARD and UPWARD trajectory in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead – To receive the heavenly pardon of God by: being loved, forgiven, discharged and acquitted, received and made blameless and guiltless. And then QUALIFIED to access His presence and share in His BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

“It was for this FREEDOM that Christ set us free [completely LIBERATING us]; therefore keep STANDING FIRM and do not be SUBJECT again to a YOKE of slavery [which you once removed]” Galatians 5:2/Amplified. 

What men can’t offer and do, God HAS offered and given to us without conditionalities, prejudice, sentiments and dissimulation – by saying to us for NOW, today and tomorrow that – THERE’S NO MORE CONDEMNATION! – FOR YOU’VE BEING JUSTIFIED BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS!! And that settles it all to live with hope, faith and love. Amen. 

You ARE loved, washed, forgiven, predestined, called, LOOSED, freed, redeemed, qualified, delivered, translated, conveyed, known, accepted, glorified, crowned a royal priesthood, a holy nation, chosen, peculiar, a special breed, righteous, [Revelation 1:5-6, Colossians 1:12-14/NKJV; Romans 8:28-30; 1 Peter 2:9-10; Ephesians 15-12; Galatians 3:13-14, 26-29] and many such like – and it is IRRESPECTIVE OF ANYTHING ELSE.

This message is a declaration of liberty for every Believer. Because of Christ’s blood and God’s rich mercy, we have been JUSTIFIED, FREED, and QUALIFIED. 
Therefore we are to STOP LIVING UNDER CONDEMNATION, FEAR, OR MAN’S APPROVAL and instead WALK IN THE GRACE, FREEDOM, AND BLESSEDNESS that God has already given us in Christ Jesus — ONWARD and UPWARD.

  1. STAND FIRM IN FREEDOM. Do not go back under a yoke of slavery, guilt, or condemnation. Galatians 5:1 
  2. HEAD UP, SHOULDERS HIGH. Put on the high heels of your faith and walk in the grace God set you in. 
  3. SHOUT IT OUT: GLORY! HALLELUJAH! AMEN!!! Let the reality of “NO CONDEMNATION” settle in your heart. 
  4. LIVE IN HOPE, FAITH AND LOVE. That is what justification settles for you. 
  5. LET THE BLOOD SPEAK. May the eternal blood of Jesus that justified and freed us speak for you TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOR ALL ETERNITY.

LIVING BY THE HIGHER LAW

LIVING BY THE HIGHER LAW: THE LAW THAT SETS ONE UP IN GRACE AND MAKES ONE LIVE INDEED IN FREEDOM! 

“There is therefore NOW NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not WALK according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the LAW of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has MADE me FREE from the LAW of SIN and DEATH” Romans 8:1-2 

In Christ Jesus, No CONDEMNATION means – No CONDEMNATION. GOD is bound by His WORD. NO CONDEMNATION means freedom from self-condemnation, the condemnation of demonic power and cohorts, the condemnation resulting from religion and religiosity, traditional dogmas, self-righteousness, denominational indoctrination, religious finger pointing and more of such like. 

“. . . 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw NONE but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, WHERE ARE THOSE THINE ACCUSERS? hath no man CONDEMNED thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, NEITHER DO I CONDEMN THEE: GO, and SIN NO MORE” John 8:1-11 

It’s true that by the LAW OF GRAVITY, there’s the downward pulling forces, such that when an object is thrown up, it falls by the gravitational pull. And it’s also true that by the LAW OF UPTHRUST – aircrafts overcome gravitational pull and the ship floats and experiences the buoyancy in water bodies to gain upthrust to move about safely. In same scenario, it’s high time to live FREE, enjoy true FREEDOM indeed that’s in Christ Jesus stead by the HIGHER LAW that overrides the natural laws of limitations and setbacks and failures; and these onward and upward trajectory leverage it, irrespective of your past history of limitations, setbacks, and failures. Once you are in Christ Jesus, your NEW DAY and NEW DAWN path to doing life and living godly has come, in essence, to God’s glory and praise. Amen. 

“It was for this FREEDOM that Christ SET US FREE [COMPLETELY LIBERATING us]; therefore KEEP STANDING FIRM and do not be SUBJECT again to a YOKE OF SLAVERY [which you once removed]” Galatians 5:1/AMP. 

“But the PATH of the just (righteous) is like the LIGHT OF DAWN, that SHINES BRIGHTER and BRIGHTER until [it reaches its FULL STRENGTH and GLORY in] the PERFECT [COMPLETE, WHOLE, FULNESS, MATURE] day” Proverbs 4:18/AMP. 

When you know you are in Christ Jesus, it thus indicates a much more HIGHER LAWS is in operations in you. The HIGHER LAW – is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus that dwells in you – and it gives one freedom for an onward and upward trajectory to gain leverage from the law of sin and death, which includes all forms of bondages, fears, condemnations, such like and more. [Romans 8:1-2]. 

It’s my earnest PRAYER that you take advantage of the NEW CREATION of God in Christ Jesus, and live to enjoy daily the freedom that God has offered you in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. [2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Galatians 6:14-16].

ACTUALISING OUR REDEMPTION IN THE GRACE: IT’S OUR NEW DAWN FROM DEAD WORKS – TO DO LIFE AND LIVE GODLY – IN GOD IN CHRIST JESUS! 

“And YOU He made ALIVE, who were DEAD in TRESPASSES and SINS, 2 in which you once WALKED according to the COURSE OF THIS WORLD, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by NATURE children of wrath, just as the others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His GREAT LOVE with which He LOVED us, 5 even when we were DEAD IN TRESPASSES, made us ALIVE together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and RAISED us up together, and MADE us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His WORKMANSHIP, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God PREPARED beforehand that we should walk in them” Ephesians 2:1-10. 

Now that our Saviour and Lord Christ Jesus is RISEN, ALIVE and ENTHRONED for evermore – it’s our time to RESURRECT from DEAD WORKS – to DO LIFE and LIVE GODLY in Him; For He’s our REDEMPTION in the grace. He’s our PASSOVER indeed and has passed us from death unto life in every ramifications by being the PASSOVER lamb as written: 

“Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our PASSOVER, was sacrificed for us. 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the UNLEAVENED bread of sincerity and truth” 1 Corinthians 5:6-8 [Exodus 12:1-14; Luke 22:1-20]. 

Now know therefore, it’s NOT just about celebrating and communicating OUR PASSOVER in the grace but it’s about our PASSOVER in Christ Jesus stead, in order to ensure our assured redemption in all the rights and privileges of these contexts and not limited. We are now to PASSOVER: 

  • From Sin To Righteousness 
  • From Eternal Death To Eternal Life 
  • From Sickness And Disease To Healing And Health 
  • From Bondage And Captivity To Deliverance And Freedom 
  • From Falsehood And Mere Facts To The Truth And Truth Only 
  • From Hopelessness To Hope  
  • From Unforgiving To Forgiveness And Forgetfulness 
  • From Evil, Hatred, Cruelty And Wickedness To Goodness, Love And Mercy And Leniency. 
  • From Poverty To Eternal Riches  
  • From Curse To Blessing 
  • From Injustice to justice, equity, mercy, faith, rights and privileges. 
  • From not having known God to having to know God In this World and His Christ and the precious Holy Spirit.

LIVING BY THE HIGHER LAW: THE LAW THAT SETS ONE UP IN GRACE AND MAKES ONE LIVE INDEED IN FREEDOM! 

“There is therefore NOW NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not WALK according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the LAW of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has MADE me FREE from the LAW of SIN and DEATH” Romans 8:1-2 

In Christ Jesus, No CONDEMNATION means – No CONDEMNATION. GOD is bound by His WORD. NO CONDEMNATION means freedom from self-condemnation, the condemnation of demonic power and cohorts, the condemnation resulting from religion and religiosity, traditional dogmas, self-righteousness, denominational indoctrination, religious finger pointing and more of such like. 

“. . . 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw NONE but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, WHERE ARE THOSE THINE ACCUSERS? hath no man CONDEMNED thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, NEITHER DO I CONDEMN THEE: GO, and SIN NO MORE” John 8:1-11 

It’s true that by the LAW OF GRAVITY, there’s the downward pulling forces, such that when an object is thrown up, it falls by the gravitational pull. And it’s also true that by the LAW OF UPTHRUST – aircrafts overcome gravitational pull and the ship floats and experiences the buoyancy in water bodies to gain upthrust to move about safely. In same scenario, it’s high time to live FREE, enjoy true FREEDOM indeed that’s in Christ Jesus stead by the HIGHER LAW that overrides the natural laws of limitations and setbacks and failures; and these onward and upward trajectory leverages irrespective of your past history of limitations, setbacks and failures. Once you are in Christ Jesus, your NEW DAY and NEW DAWN path to doing life and living godly has come to God’s glory and praise. Amen. 

“It was for this FREEDOM that Christ SET US FREE [COMPLETELY LIBERATING us]; therefore KEEP STANDING FIRM and do not be SUBJECT again to a YOKE OF SLAVERY [which you once removed]” Galatians 5:1/AMP. 

“But the PATH of the just (righteous) is like the LIGHT OF DAWN, that SHINES BRIGHTER and BRIGHTER until [it reaches its FULL STRENGTH and GLORY in] the PERFECT [COMPLETE, WHOLE, FULNESS, MATURE] day” Proverbs 4:18/AMP. 

When you know you are in Christ Jesus, it thus indicates a much more HIGHER LAWS is in operations in you. The HIGHER LAW – is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus that dwells in you – and it gives one freedom for an onward and upward trajectory to gain leverage from the law of sin and death, which includes all forms of bondages, fears, condemnations, such like and more. [Romans 8:1-2]. 

It’s my earnest PRAYER, that you take advantage of the NEW CREATION you are in Christ Jesus and live to enjoy daily the freedom that God has offered you in Christ Jesus stead. Amen. [2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Galatians 6:14-16].

BEING MORE THAN CONQUERORS: SETS YOU ON THE – NO MORE CONDEMNATION PLATFORM! 

“There is therefore NOW NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the LAW of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has MADE me free from the LAW of sin and death” Romans 8:1-2. 

In Christ Jesus, NO CONDEMNATION means – NO CONDEMNATION to the believing one in Him, knowingly and unknowingly. For GOD is bound by His WORD. And NO CONDEMNATION means freedom from SELF condemnation, demonic power and cohorts CONDEMNATION, religion, traditional dogmas, religious finger pointing CONDEMNATION and any such like. And it’s upon this knowing and understanding, that Apostle Paul was very strong in His conviction and writings to the Romans Christians in questioning some elements of thoughts that held them in bondage instead of living free in Christ Jesus as it’s written: 

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be FOR us, who can be AGAINST us? 32 He that SPARED NOT his own Son, but DELIVERED him up for us all, how shall he not with him also FREELY give us ALL things? 33 Who shall LAY ANY THING to the CHARGE of God’s ELECT? It is God that JUSTIFIETH. 34 Who is he that CONDEMNETH? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh INTERCESSION for us . . . 37 NAY, in all these things WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him that LOVED us” Romans 8:31-34. 

Being MORE THAN CONQUERORS in Christ Jesus, makes and sets the believing one in Him to a platform of living by the HIGHER LAW – the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. And that law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, sets and makes one FREE indeed in God’s pendulum of life and grace against any form of CONDEMNATION. 

It’s true that the law of gravity pulls things down when things are thrown up. But it’s also true that aircraft overcome gravity by upthrust, and ships float due to buoyancy. Likewise, there’s a higher law that overcomes sin’s law – it’s called the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. This is the law of the Spirit to make you live free, enjoy true freedom indeed, when you know you are in Christ Jesus. The HIGHER LAW – the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus – gives one freedom from the law of sin and death, which includes all forms of bondages, fears, condemnations and such like. 

Therefore, being born of God in Christ Jesus, gives one access to God and qualifies one to access the rights and privileges of redemption, justifies one from all forms of CONDEMNATION, delivers one from the clutches of Satan and cohorts, transfers and translates one into the kingdom principles that governs the realms of God – Hallelujah! And thus, as in many SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS for the New Creation in Christ Jesus, this is what being MORE THAN CONQUERORS entails in doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

“Therefore being JUSTIFIED by faith, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 by whom also we have ACCESS by faith into this GRACE wherein we STAND, and rejoice in HOPE of the glory of God” Romans 5:1-2. 

“It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. 22 Hast thou faith? have it to THYSELF before God. HAPPY is he that CONDEMNETH NOT HIMSELF in that thing which he ALLOWETH. 23 And he that DOUBTETH is DAMNED if he eat, because he eateth not of FAITH: for WHATSOEVER is not of FAITH is sin” Romans 14:21-23.

GOD’S BATTLE AXE: The BATTLE of The MIND!

GOD’S BATTLE AXE: The BATTLE of The MIND! – Mark 5:1-20. 

“For God DID NOT GIVE us a spirit of TIMIDITY [of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning FEAR], but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of LOVE and of CALM and WELL-BALANCED MIND and DISCIPLINE and SELF-CONTROL” 2 Timothy 1:7/Amplified. 

Knowingly or unknowingly, there’s a battle and warfare that is ongoing in our minds twenty-four-seven. Unfortunately, the Church has sat on SPIRITUAL WARFARE for so long that we have lost a major BATTLE which I called – MENTAL WARFARE. 

For its ones PICTURE that determines ones FUTURE. It is what you picture in the spirit of your MIND that determines what awaits you in the future. And the vitality for SOUND MIND can NEVER be over-emphasised at all. 

This is simply for these: 

  • Your mind is certainly a gateway to your life, for every event of your life is determined in the mind. 
  • Every captive is first arrested in the mind. And your Liberty (freedom) is established or lost in the MIND. 
  • Your mind is the controller of your destiny. Until you are able to keep your mind under control, your life is out of control. 
  • As terrible as sin is, Jesus established that sin begins with a seed of thought (Matthew 5:27-30). All the devil does is to sell the thought. When you buy the thought, you become a victim of the act. 
  • Nobody succeeds by chance; success begins with a thought. Nobody prospers just by effort. Every act of prosperity and advancement in life has its source in the hearted mind. 
  • Until you begin to think differently things will not be different. Every GRACIOUS imagination establishes you, but every human philosophy that one falls for, makes a captive of you. YOU ARE A PRODUCT OF YOUR THOUGHT LIFE. For as you THINK, so you BECOME. 
  • Every EVIL that came upon Job began with his imagination of it (Job 3:25). Every EVIL IMAGINATION is an express access for EVIL. 
  • Right living begins with right thinking. Great living begins with great thinking and great success begins with great success thought. Hence, you don’t reply THOUGHTS with THOUGHTS but with WORDS. 

FINALLY – Foreknowing the above and such likes, one can say that – until your mentality is corrected, your destiny is not secured. Satan has no access to your spirit, knowing it is in relationship and fellowship with the Father God; but he has access to your mind. It is the gateway to your life. Therefore, give no place to the devil or else he will give you a direction. 

You are GOD’S BATTLE AXE AND WEAPON OF WAR, do something – RENEWING the spirit of your mind by the WORD to remain SOUND-MINDED. That is the HOW to BATTLE in your MIND.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the RENEWING of your MIND, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God“ Romans 12:2. 

“And be RENEWED in the spirit of your MIND” Ephesians 4:23. 

“For God hath not given us the spirit of FEAR; but of power, and of love, and of a SOUND MIND“ 2 Timothy 1:7. 

“For as he THINKS in his heart, so is he [in behavior—one who manipulates]. He says to you, “Eat and drink,” Yet his heart is not with you [but it is begrudging the cost]” Proverbs 23:7. 

“For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the WEAPONS of man. 4 The WEAPONS of our WARFARE are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking EVERY THOUGHT and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, 6 being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (Amplified).
