THE GREAT COMMISSION: THREE SOUL DIMENSIONS – FOR EVERY FAITH-BASED BELIEVER SOUL-WINNING IN THE GRACE! 

“This good news of the kingdom [the gospel] will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end [of the age] will come” Matthew 24:14/Amplified. 

The Great Gospel — the good news of the Kingdom — commission of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, is a global, inescapable and supreme task for every believer of God in Christ Jesus, and it is irrespective of status, class, tongues, people, colour and nation [Revelation 5:9-10; Mark 16:15-20]. 

It is the highest of the highest calls to everyone and is not restricted to a certain few that are clergymen or clergywomen otherwise called Evangelists, as has been attributed over time. 

It is a commission calling of — “GO THEREFORE” to the nations of the world. It is not an advice but an order, and none can hide behind any excuse whatsoever. 

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 GO THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL THE NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS THAT I HAVE COMMANDED YOU; 20 and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen” Matthew 28:18-20/NKJV. 

Every Believer of God in Christ Jesus has a called default of purpose in our redemption in the grace, and it is irrespective to all, so that none may say it is for someone else [Romans 8:28-30; Ephesians 1:1-12; 1 John 3:8; John 18:37]. 

And it is irrespective, because you don’t have to be a clergyman or clergywoman to be a WITNESS OF, and WITNESS FOR, Jesus Christ to others — except you have not experienced the saving grace of God that made you a NEW CREATION of God, in Christ Jesus’ stead [Acts 1:8; Isaiah 43:10; Acts 22:15; Acts 20:20-21; John 1:6-8; John 18:37]. 

And it is the essence of experiencing God’s salvation in Christ Jesus that makes you both a WITNESS and an AMBASSADOR and God’s EMBASSY, to witness Him to others — except there is no genuineness of experiencing God in Christ Jesus in the grace [2 Corinthians 5:17-20; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:16-18]. 

And the commission to witness the Gospel to others starts from your abode of living to your places of doing life and godly living, which also includes the place of worship. And you are there to witness for Jesus Christ as a witness of Him — indicating that you’ve experienced Him, and are experiencing Him daily, in your path of doing life and living godly in the grace. 

And it is this knowing and understanding that will make you not to be ashamed, but to be emboldened to make God known to others in the grace, as Apostle Paul didn’t hesitate to make known about his redemption of God in Christ Jesus, to the legalistic Roman Church that had compromised their faith with legalistic stupidities, as written: 
“For I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL of Christ, for it is the POWER of God to SALVATION for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith’” Romans 1:16-17. 

There are THREE SOULS’ DIMENSIONS of people that are there, and that deserve to be witnessed to in every avenue of opportunity — and they are classified in Luke 15:1-32 in these respective segments: 

  1. The LOST SHEEP: [The unsaved needing salvation to enable them become part of the sheepfold of God in Christ Jesus — they are there in your abode, places of doing life which the clergyman or clergywoman have no access to reach but you only. Hence there is no excuse if they eventually get lost because of your complacency]. Luke 15:1-7. 
  2. The LOST COIN: [The supposedly saved that are in the church but have lost their bearings with God — and are religiously or denominationally bonded and not Christ bonded. These groups are there in your local assembly of worship]. Luke 15:8-10. 
  3. The LOST SON – PRODIGAL: [This group of people were once saved and then backslid from the faith by reason of wealth or opportunities in disguise or such like that are personal to respective individuals]. Luke 15:11-32. [prosperity] 

So, it’s time to be a missionary, MISSION-ORIENTED Believer of God in Christ Jesus in the grace, in your place of doing life and living godly in the grace — to share the GOSPEL, the good news of the kingdom, as a living witness of Jesus, and set for the good of others who could be any of the above three categories as mentioned. 

Being a Believer who is Gospel MISSION-ORIENTED means you are set to live by PURPOSE from where you are and not waiting for a special title and recognition.  

For every soul, it is an open pulpit-altar. Imagine how many billions of pulpit-altars of souls are available to you than the one single-altar in a local assembly that many crave to be applauded and recognized by — without the GOSPEL ESSENCE in it. 

A man’s mission is encompassed by the vision of acknowledging God’s universal gospel mission that they are to partake in, in the grace. 

And you can only be GOSPEL PURPOSEFUL and PURPOSE-DRIVEN when you know and understand the vision and mission of your commission — this is in order to ensure and be assured of your pursuit in the grace, by the opportunities you have and that are before you to use to reach that single or groups of souls, through your place of doing life. 

Without being crazy as some, to be entitled with titles — but expressing the GO COMMISSION in the obedience of the Gospel essence as being the commission of you as a believer in the grace. 

Let me say again that, in this great commission of the Gospel, it is irrespective to all, and it is without sentiments, prejudice and dissimulation. 

More so, it is beyond the walls of any denominational doctrine and it is a commission to all born of God in Christ Jesus in the grace [Galatians 3:6-9, 26-29; Romans 10:8-15]. And there is no room for adulteration, perversion, distortion and such like, when it is genuinely and scripturally faith-based, VISION-MISSION-COMMISSION in essence in the grace [Galatians 1:6-9; Philippians 1:15-18; Jude 1:3-4; 1 Peter 5:8-10]. 

And because you are God’s AMBASSADOR and EMBASSY to witness on His behalf the goodness of the kingdom to others, that qualifies you and makes it the primary reason He has EMPOWERED you — to ensure His PURPOSE in your life is possible in all spheres. 

That God has empowered you and He is empowering you to become what you are today, it is not for show or applause, but to ensure you exhibit and showcase His DEFAULT PURPOSE in you through the Gospel with His ENDOWED AND ENDUED POWER. This is to make you FUNCTION in the fullness, for the good of others to assure their SALVATION is true and sure in the grace. 

Having PURPOSE without POWER is a phase of being delusional, and having POWER without PURPOSE is destructive on all levels. 

Hence, for God’s purpose to make an essence, He has accompanied it with His power to make it all good in the grace in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen [Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; 1 John 3:8; 1 John 2:20, 27; John 7:37-39; John 18:37; Luke 4:1-4, 14, 16-22; Acts 10:38]. 

How I do pray for you today, to hear and listen to that inner voice telling you to share the good news Gospel as you’ve experienced and are now experiencing, to your work colleagues, business partners, family members and friends of yours before it is late to do it. And it could be by using the platform that is available to you to make a direct personal encounter with such persons or groups of persons, that may be rare to be seen or reached again with the opportunity that has been availed to you right now. 

Go forth therefore and be in obedience to THE GREAT COMMISSION to the THREE SOULS’ DIMENSIONS, as per the opportunities God has given and positioned you to occupy in life to make it all possible in the grace. 

SELAH- PAUSE AND THINK! 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH READING AND PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“But you shall receive POWER when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” Acts 1:8. 

“Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with POWER from on high” Luke 24:49. 

“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” 19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. “Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. 2 And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.” 3 So He spoke this parable to them, saying: 

THE LOST SHEEP: 

4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ 7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. 

THE LOST COIN: 

8 “Or what woman, having ten silver [c]coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’ 10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” 

THE LOST SON: 

11 Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. 13 And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. 14 But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. 15 Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the [e]pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. 17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” 20 “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry. 25 “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’ 28 “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. 29 So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30 But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ 31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32 It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.” Luke 15:1-32. 

SUMMARY: 
The message teaches us that the Great Commission is not optional, not for clergy only, and not limited to church buildings. It is a global, inescapable, supreme task for every believer. Every redeemed person is called to be a WITNESS, AMBASSADOR, and EMBASSY of Christ, empowered by the Spirit, to reach THREE CATEGORIES OF SOULS in their daily sphere of influence.  

KEY POINTS OF THE MESSAGE 

  1. THE GREAT COMMISSION IS FOR EVERYONE
  • Matthew 24:14/Amplified: “This good news of the kingdom [the gospel] will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end [of the age] will come.” 
  • Matthew 28:18-20/NKJV: “GO THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL THE NATIONS… TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS THAT I HAVE COMMANDED YOU.” This is an order, not advice. 
  • Revelation 5:9-10; Mark 16:15-20 — It is irrespective of status, class, tongues, people, colour and nation.

  1. WHO QUALIFIES TO WITNESS?

You don’t need a title. You only need to have experienced salvation. 
If you are a NEW CREATION in Christ Jesus [Acts 1:8; Isaiah 43:10; John 1:6-8], then you are: 

A WITNESS OF and WITNESS FOR Jesus Christ 

An AMBASSADOR and God’s EMBASSY [2 Corinthians 5:17-20; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:16-18] 
Your field starts from your abode, workplace, and worship place. Your daily life is the proof that you have experienced and are experiencing Him. 
Like Paul: “For I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL of Christ, for it is the POWER of God to SALVATION” [Romans 1:16-17].  

  1. THE THREE SOULS’ DIMENSIONS TO REACH [Luke 15:1-32]

Every believer will encounter these 3 groups. There is no excuse for complacency. 

THE LOST SHEEP[Luke 15:1-7]
The unsaved. Those outside the sheepfold of God. They are in your home, office, market, community — places clergy may not reach but you can. If they are lost because of your silence, there is no excuse.
THE LOST COIN[Luke 15:8-10]

The supposedly saved but misplaced. In church, but religiously or denominationally bonded, not Christ bonded. They are in your local assembly. They need to be found and restored.
THE LOST SON – PRODIGAL[Luke 15:11-32]

Those once saved who backslid due to wealth, opportunities, or personal reasons. They left, but the Father is waiting. You are positioned to call them back. 

  1. YOUR LIFE IS THE PULPIT-ALTAR

For every soul, your life is an open pulpit-altar. There are billions of “pulpit-altars” in daily encounters, far more than one church altar. 
A man’s mission is tied to God’s universal gospel mission. You are GOSPEL PURPOSEFUL and PURPOSE-DRIVEN when you know your commission and use the opportunities before you. 
Don’t chase titles. Express the GO COMMISSION in obedience. 

  1. THE COMMISSION IS PURE, UNIVERSAL, AND EMPOWERED
  • Irrespective to all: Without sentiments, prejudice or dissimulation. Beyond denominational walls [Galatians 3:6-9, 26-29; Romans 10:8-15]. 
  • No adulteration: Must be genuinely, scripturally faith-based [Galatians 1:6-9; Philippians 1:15-18; Jude 1:3-4; 1 Peter 5:8-10]. 
  • PURPOSE + POWER: God has EMPOWERED you with ENDOWED AND ENDUED POWER to fulfill His DEFAULT PURPOSE [Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; 1 John 3:8; 1 John 2:20, 27; John 7:37-39; Luke 4:1-4, 14, 16-22; Acts 10:38]. 
    Purpose without power is delusion. Power without purpose is destruction. 
  1. THE FINAL URGENT CHARGE

Listen to the inner voice today. Share the Gospel with your colleagues, business partners, family and friends before it’s too late. Use the platform and opportunity God has availed you now — it may not come again. 
Go forth therefore and obey THE GREAT COMMISSION to the THREE SOULS’ DIMENSIONS in the place God has positioned you.

SPIRITUAL FAMINE

SPIRITUAL FAMINE: ARE YOU IN DROUGHT TO THE HEARING OF THE WORD! 

“Behold, the DAYS come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a FAMINE in the land, not a FAMINE of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of HEARING THE WORDS OF THE LORD: 12 and they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east,they shall run to and fro to SEEK THE WORD of the Lord, and shall NOT FIND IT. 13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst” Amos 8:11-13. 

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do ERR (MISTAKEN, ERROR), not KNOWING THE SCRIPTURES, nor the POWER of God” Matthew 22:29. 

Dear friend, are you living in a spiritual drought? 

Are you desiring the Word of the Lord that leads to daily salvation and deliverance [Romans 10:8-13] but it seems all you see around to feed from are fables, dogmas, sectarianism, traditions, methods, creeds, shows and self-created denominational doctrines? [Matthew 15:1-6; 1 Peter 1:17-20] 

And worse, when you can’t find the principles of the Word and the process, instead you see craft, fraud and scams to extort you in the grace? [Philippians 1:15-18] 

It is time to do something about the drought of the hearing of God’s Word, for your own good — as an antidote to restore healthy spiritual sensitivity in the grace [Galatians 1:6-9; Jude 1:3-4; 1 Timothy 1:18-20]. [famine] 

And you need to know that you can’t blame people or anyone about your spiritual drought when there are opportunities of being informed, as you are now reading, to safeguard against errors and being mistaken in the faith. Also, to make you do something about your spiritual well-being in the grace, as you desire to do life and live godly by the WORD, in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

Your becoming for today and tomorrow is within your decision — and you need to make it happen in the grace without blaming anyone. You have been given the opportunity in the grace to stop every form and signal of spiritual drought about you. [famine] 

Don’t live in SPIRITUAL DROUGHT, I beg you — it will short-circuit your path in DOING life and LIVING godly in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

There is nothing as dangerous and deadly as FAMINE — be it physical or spiritual. 

FAMINE is the extreme: scarcity, shortage, drought, unavailability, lack, insufficiency, undersupply, deficiency, impoverishment, shortfalls and such like, of the basic necessity of life — e.g. FOOD — resulting in HUNGER, whose consequences are unprecedented fatalities.  

“MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED for LACK OF KNOWLEDGE: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” [Hosea 4:6]. 

“Therefore MY PEOPLE ARE GONE INTO CAPTIVITY, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. 15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled” [Isaiah 5:13-15]. 

In life we know how people suffer and die in horrible conditions when there is physical famine. We don’t have to look far to see the dire physical hunger and needs in our NEIGHBOURHOOD, COMMUNITIES, SOCIETY, NATION and WORLD today. 

Hunger as a result of FAMINE is a severe and terrible condition for anyone to experience. Yet, many in our WORLDS are suffering and dying daily as a result of this monster called — FAMINE. 

Unfortunately today, many do not fully know and realize that SPIRITUAL FAMINE does exist. And there are implications of its existence in one’s life and in our society and world. It could even be the DE FACTO cause of the physical condition we experience today as INDIVIDUAL, FAMILY, SOCIETY and NATION. 

A SPIRITUAL FAMINE indicates NO SPIRITUAL FOOD, or insufficient and inadequate provision, resulting in severe hunger — leading to spiritual suffering and or death. 

NO FOOD means NO WORD, which is the FOOD of the SPIRITUAL man — the spirit being. 

The man in HUMAN [Hu-Man] is a being, that is, a spirit being [subconscious place], has a soul [conscious mind, reasoning faculty, will] and lives in a body [physique, physical structure].  

A NO WORD for the human wellbeing means a NO FAITH. 
And a NO FAITH is consequential. For FAITH comes by the HEARING of the WORD of God [Romans 10:17], which means with NO WORD, then NO FAITH, and with NO FAITH — none can PLEASE God [Hebrews 11:6], and not pleasing God makes one vulnerable to the enemy and cohorts of our faith in the grace [Proverbs 16:7]. 

And to live a life wherein God is not PLEASED with you, and rather, you can’t PLEASE God for lack of faith by the Word is sinful and has consequences [Romans 14:23]. 
And such consequences could be dire and result in fatalities just as physical hunger does [Amos 8:11-14; Genesis 41-47]. 

One of such consequences is to have no MEANINGFUL nourishment and fulfilment in LIFE and GODLY LIVING with God as a result of NO FELLOWSHIP to enhance one’s RELATIONSHIP with GOD. 
It takes FAITH to FELLOWSHIP with God. For we are CALLED to FELLOWSHIP with God in order to ENHANCE our RELATIONSHIP with Him, for therein is the PATH OF LIFE [1 Corinthians 1:9; Psalms 16:11; Romans 8:28-30; Ephesians 1:11]. 

When one is IMPOVERISHED and MALNOURISHED within one’s being, there’s no amount of WEALTH and PHYSICAL POSSESSION that can FULFIL such emptiness within [Luke 12:15]. 

And there is no scientific or medical act — as SCAN, X-RAY, STETHOSCOPE, CHEMOTHERAPY and such like — that can and will be able to detect the essence of the human spirit that makes man a being. 
For God has put a default of ETERNITY in the human spirit with which, in His infinite nature, only He can sense every being [Ecclesiastes 3:11/Amplified; Proverbs 20:27; Job 32:8; Job 33:4]. 

Therefore, SPIRITUAL FAMINE as with PHYSICAL FAMINE has consequences. 
And with RESOLUTION and an ANSWER to SPIRITUAL FAMINE, PHYSICAL FAMINE can be RESOLVED effortlessly in grace [2 Chronicles 7:12-15]. 
For GOD will ensure that FAMINE OF ALL SORTS are RESOLVED for the good of all [Psalms 33:18-20; Psalms 37:18-19; Genesis 26:1-14; Psalms 105:16-24/Genesis 41-47]. 

It’s time to RESOLVE to give yourself to FEED HEALTHILY on the WORD of God — firstly on a PERSONAL level and from other platforms and ONLINE opportunities — in order to avoid FAMINE. 

More so, to triumphantly thrive and be meaningfully fulfilled over any form of FAMINE that may tend to affect you in LIFE, GRACE and GODLY LIVING [Job 23:12; 2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; Matthew 22:29; Jeremiah 15:16; Psalms 1:1-3]. 

Don’t live in SPIRITUAL DROUGHT — it will short-circuit your PATH IN LIFE and GODLY LIVING in the grace. 

THE SPIRITUAL IMPACT OF THE FAMINE OF HEARING THE WORD IS ENORMOUS AND INDESCRIBABLE. 

Therefore, with many facing ENORMOUS life challenges and circumstances which are as a result of THE FAMINE OF THE HEARING OF THE WORD, there is the need to be built up in FAITH. And the need to kick-start your own avenue on a personal level is now — to THE HEARING OF THE WORD in order to STEADFASTLY RESIST IN THE FAITH the FEAR of the monster that has befallen or is intending, long before it gets to your vicinity [Amos 8:11-14]. 

It’s time to feed HEALTHILY your spirit and wellbeing with the living WORD in order to STEADFASTLY RESIST IN FAITH the fear of the monster that has gripped and crippled the world’s health and economy to a standstill and downward curve for a while now [1 Peter 5:8-11]. 

And when you feed healthily, our God of all wisdom, speed and love will make you perfect — complete, whole, full — establish, strengthen and settle you in life and grace in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

SELAH – PAUSE AND THINK! 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“And I will GIVE you pastors according to mine heart, which shall FEED you with KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING” Jeremiah 3:15. 

“Behold, the DAYS come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a FAMINE in the land, not a FAMINE of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of HEARING THE WORDS OF THE LORD: 12 and they shall WANDER from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall RUN to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. 13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men FAINT FOR THIRST. 14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beer-sheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again” Amos 8:11-14. 

“So then FAITH cometh by HEARING, and HEARING by the WORD of God” Romans 10:17.

“Thy WORDS WERE FOUND, and I did EAT them; and thy WORD was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts” Jeremiah 15:16. 

SUMMARY: 
From the message we learnt that spiritual famine is real, dangerous, and already happening. It is a drought of hearing the pure Word of God [Amos 8:11-13]. Just as physical famine destroys the body, spiritual famine destroys faith, fellowship, purpose, and destiny. The only antidote is to personally and intentionally FEED on the Word of God to build faith and resist the enemy. 

KEY POINTS OF THE MESSAGE 

  1. THE REALITY OF SPIRITUAL FAMINE [Amos 8:11-14]

God warned of a coming famine — “not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of HEARING THE WORDS OF THE LORD” [Amos 8:11-13]. 
People will run to and fro seeking the Word and not find it. The result is young men and women fainting for thirst. 
Jesus also warned: “Ye do ERR, not KNOWING THE SCRIPTURES, nor the POWER of God” [Matthew 22:29]. 

  1. SIGNSYOUARE IN SPIRITUAL DROUGHT 
    Wrong Feeding: Feeding on fables, dogmas, sectarianism, traditions, creeds, shows, and self-created denominational doctrines [Matthew 15:1-6; 1 Peter 1:17-20]. 
    Exploitation: Instead of principles and process of the Word, you see craft, fraud and scams to extort in the name of grace [Philippians 1:15-18]. 
    No Growth: Lack of healthy spiritual sensitivity, knowledge and understanding [Galatians 1:6-9; Jude 1:3-4; 1 Timothy 1:18-20]. 

You cannot blame others. The opportunity to be informed is before you now. Your becoming today and tomorrow is your decision in the grace.  

  1. WHY SPIRITUAL FAMINE IS DEADLY

FAMINE means scarcity, lack, insufficiency, impoverishment. Physically it leads to hunger and death, spiritually it is worse. 

NO WORD = NO FAITH 
“FAITH cometh by HEARING, and HEARING by the WORD of God” [Romans 10:17]. 
With no faith, you cannot PLEASE God [Hebrews 11:6], and you become vulnerable to the enemy [Proverbs 16:7]. Living without pleasing God is sinful and has consequences [Romans 14:23]. 

NO FELLOWSHIP = NO RELATIONSHIP 
We are CALLED to FELLOWSHIP with God to ENHANCE our RELATIONSHIP with Him, for therein is the PATH OF LIFE [1 Corinthians 1:9; Psalms 16:11]. 
Without the Word, there is no meaningful nourishment or fulfilment [Luke 12:15]. 

DESTRUCTION & CAPTIVITY 
“MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED for LACK OF KNOWLEDGE” [Hosea 4:6]. 
“MY PEOPLE ARE GONE INTO CAPTIVITY, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE” [Isaiah 5:13-15]. 

SPIRITUAL MALNOURISHMENT 
Man is spirit, has a soul, and lives in a body. God put ETERNITY in the human spirit [Ecclesiastes 3:11/Amplified; Proverbs 20:27]. No wealth, science, or medicine can feed that emptiness. Only the Word can.
THE SOLUTION: RESOLVE TO FEED ON THE WORD

Spiritual famine must be answered first. When spiritual famine is resolved, even physical famine can be resolved in grace [2 Chronicles 7:12-15; Psalms 33:18-20; Genesis 26:1-14]. 

HOW TO RESPOND NOW: 

PERSONAL FEEDING: Give yourself to FEED HEALTHILY on the WORD on a personal level [Job 23:12; Jeremiah 15:16; Psalms 1:1-3]. 

RIGHT TEACHING: God will give pastors after His heart to FEED you with KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING [Jeremiah 3:15]. 

STUDY & APPLICATION: “STUDY TO SHEW THYSELF APPROVED unto God, a WORKMAN that… RIGHTLY DIVIDING the word of truth” [2 Timothy 2:15]. 
Scripture is PROFITABLE for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction [2 Timothy 3:14-17]. 

STEADFAST RESISTANCE: Feed your spirit to “RESIST STEDFAST IN THE FAITH” against the fear and attacks of the enemy [1 Peter 5:8-11; Amos 8:11-14]. The Word is a LAMP, LIGHT, and UNDERSTANDING [Psalms 119:9, 105, 130]. 

  1. THE PROMISE

When you feed healthily on the living Word, God of all wisdom, speed and love will “MAKE YOU PERFECT, STABLISH, STRENGTHEN, SETTLE YOU” [1 Peter 5:8-11]. Complete, whole, and furnished for every good work.

THERE MAY BE SPIRITUAL DROUGHT: THERE’S HOPE IN GOD – FOR YOUR SPIRITUAL WELLBEING IN THE GRACE!  

“Then [in the final time] I will GIVE you [SPIRITUAL] SHEPHERDS after My own heart, who will FEED you with KNOWLEDGE and [TRUE] UNDERSTANDING” Jeremiah 3:15/Amplified. 

There may be a spiritual drought of the TRUTH of God’s WORD about you. Know full well that God will not keep you lacking. He is there to ensure that you are fed healthily with knowledge and understanding in the grace by His provision of spiritual shepherds to feed you in season and out of season. 

Just open your eyes and locate them. Otherwise, you will feed unhealthily and afterwards live in errors and be mistaken too. 

For God’s intent is to see you perfected in the grace in doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus’ stead.  

“And [His gifts to the church were varied and] He Himself appointed some as APOSTLES [special messengers, representatives], some as PROPHETS [who speak a new message from God to the people], some as EVANGELISTS [who spread the good news of salvation], and some as PASTORS and TEACHERS [to shepherd and guide and instruct], 12 [and He did this] to fully EQUIP and PERFECT the saints (God’s people) for works of service, to BUILD up the body of Christ [the church]; 13 until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the KNOWLEDGE of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a MATURE believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity]. 14 So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit]. 15 But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ. 16 From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up in [unselfish] love” Ephesians 4:11-16/Amplified. 

You have a responsibility to ensure that you don’t go to the waste bin to feed because you are hungry, but to locate the place of a healthy spiritual meal for your wellbeing in the grace. So, don’t be caught up in the famine because by staying in a religious setting instead of in a word-of-faith setting – by the hearing of the word of grace that builds you up and gives you access to your inheritance in the grace, which is available for all who are SANCTIFIED [set apart] for uniqueness to be the living epistle of God’s enrichment in Christ Jesus. Amen. 

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: 12 and they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. 13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst” Amos 8:11-13. 

“And now, brethren, I COMMEND you to God, and to THE WORD of his grace, which is able to BUILD you up, and to give you an INHERITANCE among all them which are SANCTIFIED” Acts 20:32. 

God has made available His WORD for your enrichment and has equally given Shepherds that will feed you with His knowledge and understanding by the supervision of the ever-present Holy Spirit, so that the spiritual food is easy to receive and not burdensome, taskmaster, irksome, slavery or grievous. And the shepherds are supposed to break the word down to a plain state for your knowledge and understanding. This is so, so that your wellbeing as a NEW CREATION BABES for the living truth of God’s WORD is ensured and assured in the faith, as the shepherds help you to break it, divide it, and size it to your capacity, ability and ease to assimilate and digest it accordingly in the grace. This will help to ensure and assure that you build up the needed faith that gives VICTORY over the world system and the enemy and his cohorts and their activities in humanity. 

“Wherefore LAYING ASIDE all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, 2 as newborn babes, DESIRE the SINCERE milk of the WORD, that ye may GROW thereby: 3 if so be ye have TASTED that the Lord is GRACIOUS” 1 Peter 2:1-3. 

“The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread, and no man BREAKETH [DIVIDED, BLENDED, SIZED] it unto them” Lamentations 4:4/Emphasis mine. 

“For this is the LOVE of God, that we keep his commandments: and His commandments are not GRIEVOUS [BURDENSOME, IRKSOME, TASKMASTER, SLAVERY]. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the VICTORY that overcometh the world, even our FAITH. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:3-5. 

Just know that God loves you and cares about you. And our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, in humanity, assures us that if we continue in His Word and not in fables and myths, we will KNOW THE TRUTH, and the TRUTH will SET US FREE. And it will give us the unadulterated and unpolluted freedom – the freedom that’s free from indoctrination that’s built on sentiments, prejudice and dissimulation. And Jesus is THE WORD, and THE TRUTH, that sets free. And He is the one who gives illumination to enlighten our wellbeing in the grace, because He is the light and life of our wellbeing. And the earnest grace and truth we need to do life and live godly in the grace are embedded in Him, for He is the grace and truth – what a mystery. Hallelujah to our God, for great is the mystery of godliness in Christ Jesus. Amen. 

“As he spake these words, many BELIEVED on Him. 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye CONTINUE IN MY WORD, then are ye my DISCIPLES indeed; 32 and ye shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH shall make you FREE” John 8:30-32

Therefore, be assured that even though there may be SPIRITUAL DROUGHT, there is hope in God – for your SPIRITUAL WELLBEING in the grace.

THE HOLY SPIRIT 
He supervises the feeding process so that spiritual food is not burdensome, taskmaster, irksome, slavery or grievous [1 John 5:3-5]. 

SPIRITUAL SHEPHERDS 
“I will GIVE you SHEPHERDS after My own heart, who will FEED you with KNOWLEDGE and TRUE UNDERSTANDING” [Jeremiah 3:15/Amplified]. 
God appointed APOSTLES, PROPHETS, EVANGELISTS, PASTORS and TEACHERS [Ephesians 4:11-13] to: 

  • EQUIP and PERFECT the saints
  • BUILD UP the body of Christ
  • Help you grow to MATURITY and not be tossed by every wind of doctrine [Ephesians 4:14-16]
  • BREAK, DIVIDE, and SIZE the Word to your capacity so you can assimilate and digest it [Lamentations 4:4] 
  1. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

You cannot blame others. You have a responsibility to: 
LOCATE HEALTHY FEEDING PLACES — Don’t go to the “waste bin to feed.” Avoid religious settings and choose a word-of-faith setting where the Word of grace is taught [Acts 20:32]. 
CONTINUE IN THE WORD — “If ye CONTINUE IN MY WORD, then are ye my DISCIPLES indeed; and ye shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH shall make you FREE” [John 8:30-32]. 
Freedom from indoctrination, sentiments, prejudice and dissimulation comes only by the Truth. 
FEED DELIBERATELY — As NEW CREATION BABES, we must desire the Word [1 Peter 2:2]. “Study to shew thyself APPROVED unto God, rightly DIVIDING the WORD OF TRUTH” [2 Timothy 2:15]. 
Scripture is PROFITABLE for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction [2 Timothy 3:14-17]. 

  1. THE GOAL: PERFECTION, MATURITY, AND VICTORY

God’s intent is to see you PERFECTED — matured, whole, complete — in doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus’ stead. 
When you feed healthily: 

  • You build the faith that gives VICTORY over the world system and the enemy [1 John 5:4-5] 
  • You grow into the FULLNESS OF CHRIST [Ephesians 4:13] 
  • You become a LIVING EPISTLE of God’s enrichment, SANCTIFIED [set apart] for uniqueness 
  • You experience the MYSTERY OF GODLINESS — Christ in you [1 Timothy 3:16] 
  1. WHO IS THE ANSWER? JESUS CHRIST

Jesus is THE WORD and THE TRUTH [John 14:6]. In Him is embedded all the grace and truth we need to do life and live godly. He is the light and life of our wellbeing. To know Him is LIFE ETERNAL [John 17:3]. 

Hallelujah to our God, for great is the mystery of godliness in Christ Jesus. Amen.

MARRIAGE IS NOT FOR BOYS 

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife . . .” Genesis 2:24.  

This indicates that marriage is not for boys. A man can be matured physically and not be mentally, emotionally and such likes prepared for marriage. Age is inconsequential when it comes to maturity. You attain maturity by accepting responsibility and accountability. 

Marriage is not about your physiological development, for one’s masculinity does not connote maturity. That you are as old as Methuselah does not confer on you the wisdom of Solomon. Never mistake growing up with growing old. 

A MAN MUST BE ABLE to FACE the CONSEQUENCE of his ACTIONS WITHOUT apportioning BLAME; he MUST have a sense of direction. It is not enough for you to have a vision as a man. You must be able to sell the vision to a lady – that is the essence of leadership. You must be able to make informed decision in your life. 

Until you grow mature, God may be delaying the woman He has kept for you. Sometimes it is not what God wants to do in your life, but your readiness for it. Adam never grew. He was never a child. He was created as an adult man to qualify him for marriage – No wonder he made a shipwreck of the union. 

  • A boy marries for passion while a man marries for purpose. 
  • A boy walks away when challenged, while a man sticks it out. 
  • A boy is dependent while a man is independent 
  • A boy sees love as a feeling while a man sees love as a commitment. 

I am captivated by Gbeminiyi Eboda description of a boy In His book “Single Without Wrinke”. 

  • A boy want attention but a man gives attention. 
  • A boy want to be heard, a man seeks to listen. 
  • A boy want to be known a man seeks to know. 
  • A boy has ability but a man shoulders responsibility. remember, ABILITY without RESPONSIBILITY will turn a man into LIABILITY. He concluded ; A man who is not made for marriage will not be made in marriage.” 

Perhaps you are reading this post and you got married as a boy, you will make a sabotage of the marriage. Hence, there is the need to grow up. 

Let’s consider some exhibition of immaturity in marriage today: 

  • Refusing food prepared with your own money because you are angry. 
  • Keeping malice with your wife. 
  • Beating your wife at the slightest provocation. 
  • Running after every thing in skirt. Do you know that emotional maturity is being able to delay gratification – YOU MUST BE ABLE TO GIVE DIRECTION TO YOUR ERECTION.  
  • Keeping late nights because of misunderstanding and leaving the comfort of your room to sleep in the living room. 
  • Threatening your wife with divorce each time there is a misunderstanding.  
  • Sometimes you even refuse to pick your calls, and you come home and start screaming that you are the head of the family. 

Do you know that you do not need validation from your wife to determine your worth: you get your worth from your work. Respect is better earned than demanded. 

Beloved, kindly grow up, Apostle Paul says: “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things” 1 Corinthians 13:1. 

Remember: MASCULINITY DOES NOT CONNOTE MATURITY AND AGE IS NEVER AN INDEX OF MATURITY.

Remember this: ABILITY without RESPONSIBILITY will turn a man into LIABILITY. And as he concluded, “A man who is not made for marriage will not be made in marriage.” 

EXHIBITIONS OF IMMATURITY IN MARRIAGE TODAY 

  1. Refusing food prepared with your own money because you are angry. 
  2. Keeping malice with your wife. 
  3. Beating your wife at the slightest provocation. 
  4. Running after everything in skirt. 
  5. Lack of self-control — emotional maturity is being able to delay gratification. “YOU MUST BE ABLE TO GIVE DIRECTION TO YOUR ERECTION.” 
  6. Keeping late nights over misunderstanding and leaving your room to sleep in the living room. 
  7. Threatening your wife with divorce each time there is a misunderstanding. 
  8. Refusing to pick calls, then coming home to scream that you are the head of the family. 

If you got married as a boy, you will sabotage the marriage. Hence, there is the need to grow up. 

THE MARKS OF A MATURE MAN 
A man must be able to face the consequence of his actions without apportioning blame. He must have a sense of direction. It is not enough to have a vision — you must be able to sell the vision to a lady. That is the essence of leadership. You must also be able to make informed decisions in your life. 

Do not seek validation from your wife to determine your worth — you get your worth from your work. Respect is better earned than demanded. 

Apostle Paul admonished: “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things” — [1 Corinthians 13:11].

THE UNPARALLELED ARMY: EXERCISING THE USE OF THE WEAPONRY OF WAR FOR WARFARE! 

I just want to REMIND you for your NOW and for your TOMORROW, hoping that you might have known or that you probably being INFOMED for the first time, that every born-again believing child of God in Christ Jesus IS A BATTLEFIELD; and in a battlefield KNOWINGLY and UNKNOWINGLY. And there is the need to DAILY SHARPEN your INSTRUMENT [WEAPONRY] and KEEP it READY to ENGAGE in any BATTLES in the NOW or tomorrow [Ecclesiastes 10:10/Amplified]. It is because the ENEMY and his cohorts with whom we are ENGAGED are ROARING and ROAMING AROUND, SEEKING whom to DEVOUR – [1 Peter 5:8-11]. Therefore, there is the NEED to GET yourself and your spiritual weaponry ready 24/7 as you do life and live godly in the grace in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. And spiritual weaponry exercise is NOT to be TAKEN for GRANTED. It is WORTH the exercise because of the EFFECTS in the LIFE NOW and the LIFE TO COME. 

“But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto GODLINESS. 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but GODLINESS is PROFITABLE unto all things, having PROMISE of the life that NOW IS, and of that which IS TO COME” 1 Timothy 4:7-8. 

“But have nothing to do with irreverent folklore and silly myths. On the other hand, DISCIPLINE yourself for the PURPOSE of GODLINESS [keeping yourself SPIRITUALLY FIT]. 8 For physical training is of some value, but GODLINESS (SPIRITUAL TRAINING) is of value in everything and in every way, since it holds promise for the PRESENT LIFE and for the LIFE TO COME” 1 Timothy 4:7-8/Amplified. 

It is TIME, as an unparalleled army of God in Christ Jesus, to EXERCISE the KNOW-HOW to be THE COMBATANT and MILITANT-LIKE SOLDIER with the ARMOUR for warfare – 

and THE ANTIDOTE to deal with the ENEMY and the COHORTS’ WILES and ASSAULTS. 

“. . . 11 PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD, that ye may be able to STAND AGAINST THE WILES of the devil. 12 For we WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but AGAINST principalities, AGAINST powers, AGAINST the rulers of the darkness of this world, AGAINST spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the WHOLE ARMOUR of God, that ye may be able to WITHSTAND in the EVIL day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your LOINS GIRT ABOUT WITH TRUTH, and having on the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS; 15 and your FEET SHOD with the preparation of THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; 16 above all, taking THE SHIELD OF FAITH, wherewith ye shall be able to QUENCH all the FIERY DARTS OF THE WICKED. 17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is THE WORD of God: 18 PRAYING ALWAYS WITH ALL PRAYER and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints . . .” Ephesians 6: 10-18. 

And we can DO VALIANTLY and MORE, KNOWING that our WEAPONRY is sharpened, tested and ready for USE whenever REQUIRED for the DESIRED EFFECT in the grace. Much MORE, KNOWING that our GOD is EVER SET to MAKE a PUBLIC SHOW [spectacle] of the enemy and his cohorts as He has DONE BEFORE, and NOW THROUGH US for His GLORY and PRAISE in the grace. 

“Through God we shall do VALIANTLY [VICTORIOUSLY]: for He it is that shall TREAD [TRAMPLED] DOWN our ENEMIES” Psalms 60:12/Emphasis Mine. 

“When He had DISARMED the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a PUBLIC example of them [exhibiting them as CAPTIVES in His triumphal procession], having TRIUMPHED over them through [a]the cross” Colossians 2:14-15/Amplified. 

“Now thanks be unto God, which ALWAYS CAUSETH US to TRIUMPH in Christ, and maketh MANIFEST the savour of his knowledge BY US in EVERY PLACE” 2 Corinthians 2:14. 

It may not surprise you how much forecast is made yearly in budgetary investment that is showcased for military might by some nations. Their intent is to ensure that both their OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE operations and mechanisms, along with the training of their combatant military forces, are ready and securely set at the top of the range for combating. This they do as a measure to stand out among other nations and to send clear warning signs to their national neighbours and competitors of how prepared they are in any battles that may arise – be it on land, air and sea and such like. 

Today, lots of nations are investing heavily to fight cyberspace wars against many factors in the sphere, whilst others are engaged in terrorism of various spheres. This is to tell you that the ENEMY and his COHORTS are at war naturally, as you can hear or see or read about in various places and some are near you, or you are a part of national wars and warfare; whilst others are undergoing some threatening’s and others are witnessing international war investment in various continents of the world. In each case WEAPONRY is involved, with personnel answering to their commandants and heads of state as commissioned.  

DESPITE all the huge investments in these natural nations, lives are lost, weaponry and weapons are destroyed, whilst some become obsolete in order to give room to new innovations in technology. These natural wars and warfares are in vast difference from the wars and warfare which the unparalleled armies of God in Christ Jesus are engaged with. They are equally located and stationed in every territory of the world, beyond the limits and boundaries of nations and national limitations. 

As in the humanly made army described above that are limited in nature, in comparison to the divinely arranged spiritual army, as ascribed as the UNPARALLELED ARMY – which IS the Church of God in Christ Jesus – the weaponry in use for warfare are not carnal; meaning they are not man-made or humanly crafted. The weaponry in use by the UNPARALLELED ARMY are not external as in the world; but are SPIRITUAL, made as OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE armour for spiritual warfare. For our warfare is spiritual and not fought or battled in the flesh (physical), though it has physical effects. Hence our armour is expected to be PUT ON 24/7 by God’s unparalleled army in order to be always ready to triumph in Christ Jesus’ stead in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14. This is also explained in full as enjoined in the epistle scripture of Ephesians 6:10-18, as instructed by Apostle Paul to the Church at Ephesus. It is by PUTTING ON this OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE armour that we are able to stand AGAINST the enemy and his cohorts in every phase of warfare in our walk of FAITH in God in Christ Jesus’ stead.

It must be noted that the armour for our warfare to battle against the WILES of the enemy and his cohorts and their modes of operandi – in every and all their forms of manifestation against our FAITH in Christ Jesus – are readily available for our disposal and utilisation. Our place in Christ is to EXERCISE the rights and privileges in the FAITH upon which we stand in Christ Jesus, in order to enact, authentic and put the weapons and armour into use, to ensure and assure the essence and purpose for which it has been given to us all – as the REDEEMED of God in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

“Therefore being JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 by whom also we have ACCESS BY FAITH into this GRACE WHEREIN WE STAND, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God” Romans 5:1-2. 

For when our grandstanding PURPOSE are not exercised or utilised, and are misused, the enemy rules and reigns – Hence there are many REDEEMED children of God today, that are still struggling in their walk and work with God. This is for their inability to EXERCISE or to be EXERCISING the SURE and ASSURED weaponry, to bring ALL the works of the enemy and his cohorts down to the footstool. Just as our Lord and Saviour Jesus in His humanity, and the early Disciples – called Apostles – did exercise in their time, as examples before us and for our learning ahead of time in Christ Jesus’ stead. Hence we are enjoined in this Scripture: 

“For though we WALK in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not CARRYING ON our [spiritual] WARFARE according to the flesh and using the WEAPONS of man. 4 THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT PHYSICAL [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our WEAPONS are DIVINELY POWERFUL for the destruction of fortresses.5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, 6 being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6/Amplified. 

“Behold, they shall SURELY GATHER TOGETHER, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. 16 Behold, I have CREATED the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an INSTRUMENT for his work; and I have CREATED the waster to destroy. 17 No WEAPON that is FORMED AGAINST thee shall PROSPER; and every TONGUE that shall rise AGAINST thee in JUDGMENT thou shalt condemn. This is the HERITAGE of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord” Isaiah 54:15-17. 

Herein are some major spiritual weaponry and armour to be exercised and put to use in order – to authenticate, enact and realise our VICTORY in ALL battles and warfare: 

  1. EXERCISING the spirit of being always on your UNIFORM – SPIRITUAL 
    ARMOURING and WEAPONRY – Ephesians 6:10-18. 
  2. EXERCISING the WORD of FAITH (Knowledge and understanding of the WORD and Faith declaration or Confession of the WORD accordingly) – Mark 11:22-23; Luke 4:1-3; Luke 4:1-13; Deuteronomy 8:3; Psalms 91:11-12; Revelation 12:11; Matthew 8:16; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 2:15; 1 Peter 5:8-9; John 6:63; Hebrews 10:23; Proverbs 6:2; Romans 10:8-10.
  3. EXERCISING the NAME of JESUS – Luke 10:17; Philippians 2:9-11; Acts 4:12; Acts 3:6-7; 1 Timothy 2:5; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:16-20; John 14:12-17.
  4. EXERCISING the BLOOD of JESUS – Revelation 12:11; Hebrews 9:12; Colossians 1:14: Ephesians 1:7; Revelation 5:9-10; Revelation 1:5-6.
  5. EXERCISING the Power of PRAISE and WORSHIP – Psalms 149; Psalms 150; Psalms 8:2; 2 Chronicles 20:20-25, Joshua 6:1-21.
  6. EXERCISING the PLACE of PRAYERS and FASTING – Acts 4:23-31; Acts 6:4; Mark 1:35; Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13; Matthew 17:13-21/Mark 9:14-29; Luke 18:1-8; James 5:13-16; Mark 6:12-13. Matthew 6:5-18.
  7. EXERCISING the Leadership of the Holy Spirit – Acts 1:8; Luke 24:49; John 3:8; John 16:13-15; Romans 8: 11-16, 26-27; Jude 1:20; Ephesians 6:18. 

And there are three strategic WILES and MODES of OPERANDI that are scripturally known to be in use by satan and his cohorts against our FAITH in Christ Jesus. And for each we are fully informed with the Scriptural ANTIDOTE that can and will always COMBAT the enemy and his cohorts’ wiles, as we are enjoined to: 

“PUT ON THE WHOLE Armour of God, that ye may be ABLE to STAND AGAINST the WILES of the DEVIL” Ephesians 6:11. 

Herein are the ENEMY and his COHORTS wiles and modes of Operandi and our instructed antidote to note concerning them – and how to deal with their craft and cunning tactics accordingly: 

  1. AS A ROARING LION – 1 Peter 5:8.  
    ANTIDOTE: 1 Peter 5:9; James 4:7.
  2. AS A WOLF IN SHEEP CLOTHING – Matthew 7:15.
    ANTIDOTE: Matthew 7:16, 20. 
  3. AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT – 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.
    ANTIDOTE: 1 Corinthians 12:8-10. 

Suffice it to know full well that overtime, one thing is certain and it’s worth noting that – Kingdoms, Nations, Empires, Politicians, Political and Military dictators, Kings and Rulers that have covenanted with satan and his cohorts to do evil and wickedness, have risen and fallen – lost their greatness and collapsed, reigned and died. Yet the Church of God in Christ Jesus – hallelujah – the greatest and only UNPARALLELED ARMY force that’s universally located and stationed and known on earth, beneath the earth and in the heavens, keeps marching on triumphantly in the face of absolute oppositions and challenges. And all this in spite of all the attacks of the ENEMY and his COHORTS on God’s mandate – plan, purpose and pursuit – through His UNPARALLELED ARMY, the Church of God in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“Crowns and thrones may perish 

Kingdoms rise and wane 

But the Church of Jesus constant will remain: 

Gates of hell can never 

‘Gainst that Church prevail; 

We have Christ’s own promise –

The UNPARALLELED ARMY, the CHURCH of God is undaunted in every way by the challenges that are emanating today and any day in the future. Because the Kingdom purpose and cause is of God and IT IS an EVERLASTING KINGDOM. And thus, it endures and will endure through ALL GENERATIONS, irrespective of the challenges, opposition and difficulties in the pathway, as we SEE DAILY in ALL the multimedia channels and events near you. 

“Thy KINGDOM IS AN EVERLASTING KINGDOM, and thy DOMINION endureth throughout ALL GENERATIONS” Psalms 145:13. 

“For THE KINGDOM is the Lord’s: and he is the GOVERNOR among THE NATIONS” Psalms 22:28. 

The militant-like soldier – the Church of God in Christ Jesus/ stead – is at WAR with the FLESH within; and without, at WAR with the enemy and his cohorts that are against our FAITH in Christ Jesus. At WAR with spiritual forces and principalities and powers in heavenly and earthly places of doing life. At WAR with man-made religious dogmas and denominational entanglements, doctrinal sectarian bonds and traditional byelaws and creeds in the name of God. And at war with many such like as may be identified by the Holy Spirit in the WORD of God, as He leads the Church – you, local and universal. 

“FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” 1 Timothy 6:12 

“Be SOBER, be VIGILANT (SMARTLY SENSITIVE, ALERT); because your ADVERSARY THE DEVIL, AS A ROARING LION, WALKETH ABOUT, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR: 9 whom RESIST STEDFAST IN THE FAITH, knowing that the same AFFLICTIONS are accomplished in your BRETHREN that are in THE WORLD. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you PERFECT, STABLISH, STRENGTHEN, SETTLE YOU. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” 1 Peter 5:8-11;  

And because we ARE at war and warfare entails it, it takes a spirited, combatant, Militant-Like Soldier stand to combat, to win and triumph daily and always – as Apostle Paul admonished Timothy in the Holy writ of 2 Timothy 2:1-5. And to be a Soldier of Christ under the heavenly – wherein our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ is the captain of the host of God’s unparalleled army on earth, with the angelic assisted army – is a promise of full assurance of victory, triumph, overcoming and such like. Joshua 5:13-15. And this rare privilege to be a Militant-like Soldier is made possible by the grace of God and that gives us in earthly sphere the right to be His ambassadorial representatives in Christ Jesus’ stead – 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. And as such, there is no room for errors and perversions in our walk in His stead. We must war lawfully and obediently, otherwise we will be court-martialled and declared upon with a “PERSONA NON GRATA” status for woefully defiling and disobeying orders as expected. 2 Timothy 1:1-5; 2 Corinthians 10:3-6. 

Be assured that our weaponry is sure, assured to bring all things under God’s control. For in Christ Jesus all things – flesh, animate and inanimate – are subdued and brought into SUBJECTION to the captain of the HOST of God’s unparalleled army. (John 17:2; John 13:3; Philippians 3:20-21; Matthew 28:18; Mark 16:15-20; Luke 10:17-20). 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his SWORD DRAWN IN HIS HAND: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? 14 And he said, Nay; but as CAPTAIN OF THE HOST of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant? 15 And THE CAPTAIN of the Lord’s host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so” Joshua 5:13-15. 

“Finally, my brethren, be STRONG in the Lord, and in the POWER of his might. 11 PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD, that ye may be able to STAND AGAINST THE WILES of the devil. 12 For we WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but AGAINST principalities, AGAINST powers, AGAINST the rulers of the darkness of this world, AGAINST spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole ARMOUR of God, that ye may be able to WITHSTAND in the EVIL day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your LOINS girt about with TRUTH, and having on THE BREASTPLATE of righteousness; 15 and your feet shod with the preparation of THE GOSPEL of peace; 16 above all, taking THE SHIELD OF FAITH, wherewith ye shall be able to QUENCH all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the HELMET of salvation, and THE SWORD of the Spirit, which is THE WORD of God: 18 PRAYING always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints . . .” Ephesians 6:10-20. 

“It is true that I am an ordinary, weak human being, but I don’t use human plans and methods to WIN MY BATTLES. 4 I use God’s MIGHTY WEAPONS, NOT THOSE MADE BY MEN, to knock down the devil’s strongholds. 5 These WEAPONS can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding Him. With these WEAPONS I can capture rebels and bring them back to God and change them into men whose hearts’ desire is obedience to Christ. 6 I will use these weapons against every rebel who remains after I have first used them on you yourselves and you surrender to Christ” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (LB). 

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest WAR A GOOD WARFARE; 19 HOLDING FAITH, AND A GOOD CONSCIENCE; which some having PUT AWAY CONCERNING FAITH have made shipwreck: 20 of whom is Hymenæus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme” 1 Timothy 1:18-20. 

“I HAVE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT, I have finished my course, I have KEPT THE FAITH: 8 henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

“ASSOCIATE yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be BROKEN in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. 10 Take COUNSEL TOGETHER, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: FOR GOD IS WITH US. 11 For the Lord spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, 12 SAY YE NOT, A CONFEDERACY, to all them to whom this people shall say, A CONFEDERACY; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. 13 SANCTIFY the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread . . . 16 BIND UP THE TESTIMONY, SEAL THE LAW AMONG MY DISCIPLES. 17 And I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. 18 Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. 19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? 20 TO THE LAW AND TO THE TESTIMONY: IF THEY SPEAK NOT ACCORDING TO THIS WORD, IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM . . .” Isaiah 8:9-22 

“And they OVERCAME him by the blood of the Lamb, and by THE WORD of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death” Revelation 12:11.

PRAYING FOR YOU: FOR AN EFFECTUAL FAITH COMMUNICATION TO LIFE AND GRACE MATTERS! 

“A man’s belly shall be SATISFIED with the FRUIT of his MOUTH; and with the INCREASE of his LIPS shall he be FILLED. 21 DEATH and LIFE are in THE POWER OF THE TONGUE: and they that LOVE it shall EAT the FRUIT thereof” Proverbs 18:20-21. 

WORDS matter in the kingdom and in grace. 

Indeed, WORD FORMULATION and COMMUNICATION define you, every day as you endeavour to DO LIFE and LIVE GODLY in grace. 

And there is SATISFACTION in the FRUIT of our SAYINGS — our COMMUNICATION — for it defines our TODAY and TOMORROW. 

Hence we must WATCH OVER our WORDS, so that they may do us EARTHLY GOOD and HEAVENLY GOODNESS. 

And to be EFFECTUAL in our WORD OF FAITH COMMUNICATION is to be SUCCESSFUL in ACCOMPLISHING — producing or being capable of producing — the desired and intended results in grace. 

It thus means that EFFECTUAL FAITH COMMUNICATION is OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE to your THRIVING, FLOURISHING and FULFILMENT if you are to experience MEANINGFUL, PURPOSEFUL and FULFILLING living as a Believer in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

Let us recall a PURE EXAMPLE for our living as found in our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. 

For while in His humanity, He was COMMUNICATING GRACIOUSNESS in the midst of all odds and contrary, to SILENCE the religion and sectarianism of His days; and to DEMONSTRATE HOW to communicate on EARTHLY AFFAIRS with HEAVENLY REALITIES, by the MYSTERY OF FAITH. 

For where others might be communicating SWEAR WORDS, FOUL WORDS, FAITHLESS WORDS, HOPELESS WORDS and LOVELESS WORDS, RELIGIOUS DOGMAS and CREEDS, and such like UNSCRIPTURAL WORDS, Jesus was TESTIFYING and COMMUNICATING HEAVENLY GRACIOUS WORDS to life situations in every phase of DOING LIFE and LIVING GODLY in His humanity. 

And the Scripture BEARS Him witness in this ACT OF COMMUNICATION.  

“And ALL BARE Him (Jesus) WITNESS, and wondered at the GRACIOUS WORDS which PROCEEDED OUT OF HIS MOUTH. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?” Luke 4:22. 

And to COMMUNICATE is to — SPEAK, SAY, TALK, DECLARE, ANNOUNCE — forth to life MATTERS — challenges and situations — by your FAITH in the WORD of God, in Christ Jesus’ stead, in order to get EFFECTUAL RESULTS. 

For FAITH is to ACT CORRESPONDINGLY on what you BELIEVE of the WORD of God accordingly in context. 

FAITH is ACTIVE while TO BELIEVE is PASSIVE. 

And TO BELIEVE is to be PREGNANT WITH THE WORD which, by EXERCISING FAITH, THE CONTENT IN CONTEXT MUST DELIVER UNHINDERED.  

“I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, 5 hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; 6 that the COMMUNICATION of thy FAITH may become EFFECTUAL by the ACKNOWLEDGING of EVERY GOOD THING which is IN YOU in Christ Jesus” Philemon 1:4-6. 

That MATTER, or THE MATTER OF LIFE, that appears as MOUNTAIN, VALLEY, CROOKED ROAD and ROUGH PLACE — is classed as LONG-STANDING OBSTACLE to your path to EFFECTUAL and SUCCESSFUL WELL-BEING. 

And for your MEANINGFUL TRIUMPH and VICTORY, it requires FAITH COMMUNICATION to ensure you have an EFFECTUAL — productive and results-oriented — ATMOSPHERE in your PURPOSEFUL walk of faith in God, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“For verily I SAY unto you, That WHOSOEVER shall SAY unto THIS MOUNTAIN, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, but shall BELIEVE that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass; he shall have WHATSOEVER he SAITH. 24 Therefore I SAY unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye PRAY, BELIEVE that ye RECEIVE them, and ye shall have them” Mark 11:23-24. 

And to COMMUNICATE to your life MATTERS — challenges and situations — is the only means to EFFECTUAL (PRODUCTIVE) RESULTS that are free of sorrow, stress and sweat, in matters of DOING LIFE and GODLINESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

All this is simply because VICTORY and TRIUMPH HAVE BEEN WROUGHT — meaning A DONE DEED — in Christ Jesus, and ours is to live daily in the affirmative to ENACT and AUTHENTICATE it by TESTIFYING to it through the ACKNOWLEDGING (ACKNOWLEDGEMENT) of the good done in us by God in Christ Jesus. Amen. 

Those who OVERCAME in Bible days did not only believe in the blood of their redemption in Christ Jesus but TESTIFIED to the TESTIMONY of their redemption before the devil and his cohorts in grace. 

And the TESTIMONY of their redemption is nothing other than Jesus Christ. 

And that is the true SPIRIT OF PROPHECY — TESTIFYING [COMMUNICATING] of what God has done in you, is doing in you and will do through you by His Word and the indwelling Holy Spirit, in Christ Jesus. 

And the Believers of God in Christ Jesus’ stead have the SURE and ASSURED WORD OF PROPHECY to SPEAK [COMMUNICATE] forth by faith, in DOING LIFE and LIVING GODLY, as they communicate their VICTORY as being VICTORIOUS in grace, and not as VICTIMS — for this is the HOW to OVERCOME the camouflage of the world and its daily challenges. 

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death” Revelation 12:12. 

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the TESTIMONY of Jesus: WORSHIP God: for the TESTIMONY of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” Revelation 19:10. 

“We have also a more SURE WORD OF PROPHECY; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God SPAKE [COMMUNICATED] as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” 2 Peter 1:19-21/Emphasis Mine. 

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the VICTORY that overcometh the world, even our FAITH. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:4-5. 

It is upon the above KNOWING and UNDERSTANDING of the scriptural context that I therefore PRAY FOR YOU today, just as the Apostle Paul prayed for Philemon in Philemon 1:4-6, that you might come into the knowledge and understanding of having EFFECTUAL RESULTS in all life dealings in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

That is how to articulate Abrahamic BELIEF and FAITH to turn things around — even that which was contrary to the natural law concerning Sarah’s womb — in order for her to give birth again after the time to do so had passed, by CALLING [SAYING, DECLARING, ANNOUNCING, PROCLAIMING, TESTIFYING, COMMUNICATING] the THINGS that are NOT as though they WERE, in grace. 

“We having the SAME spirit of FAITH, according as it is written, I BELIEVED, and therefore have I SPOKEN; we also BELIEVE and therefore SPEAK [COMMUNICATE]” 2 Corinthians 4:13/Emphasis mine. 

“Therefore it is of FAITH, that it might be by GRACE; to the end the PROMISE might be SURE to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the FAITH of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 17 (as it is written, I have MADE thee a father of many nations,) before Him whom he BELIEVED, even God, who quickeneth the dead, AND CALLETH [COMMUNICATED] THOSE THINGS WHICH BE NOT AS THOUGH THEY WERE . . . ” Romans 4:16-25/Emphasis mine. 

Therefore, both in THOUGHTS and in WORDS, COMMUNICATE to life circumstances by FAITH in grace to our God in Christ Jesus, for He who SEARCHES the hearts and minds of our being HEARS our communication to the heavenly, for our EARTHLY OUTPOUR. 

The WORDS OF FAITH must DWELL RICHLY in your heart and mind, for with the heart you BELIEVE [CONCEIVE] the words of VICTORY, TRIUMPH and such like, and with the MOUTH you make DECLARATION [COMMUNICATION], so that the reality is made manifest by faith in grace. 
[Psalm 19:14; Romans 10:8-13; Revelation 2:23; Romans 8:27]  

May you be blessed in the knowing and understanding of this perspective and context in the grace. Amen. 

FURTHER SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God. 4 Every VALLEY shall be exalted And every MOUNTAIN and hill brought low; The CROOKED PLACES shall be made straight And the ROUGH PLACES smooth; 5 The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken” Isaiah 40:3-5. 

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For WHATSOEVER is born of God OVERCOMETH THE WORLD: and this is the VICTORY that OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, even our FAITH. 5 Who is he that OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, but he that BELIEVETH that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:3-5. 

“And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: 13 and seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. 14 And Jesus answered and SAID unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 17 (as it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, AND CALLETH THOSE THINGS WHICH BE NOT AS THOUGH THEY WERE. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: 20 he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness . . .” Romans 4:16-25.

Jesus is the pure example. In the midst of religion, odds and contrary, He communicated GRACIOUS WORDS. “ALL BARE Him WITNESS, and wondered at the GRACIOUS WORDS which PROCEEDED OUT OF HIS MOUTH” — Luke 4:22. He demonstrated how to address EARTHLY AFFAIRS with HEAVENLY REALITIES by the MYSTERY OF FAITH. Those who OVERCAME in Bible days did not only believe the blood. They TESTIFIED to it. “And they OVERCAME him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the WORD of their TESTIMONY” — Revelation 12:11. 

The TESTIMONY of Jesus is the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY — Revelation 19:10. To testify is to communicate what God has DONE, IS DOING, and WILL DO in you by His Word and the Holy Spirit. 

  1. THE MECHANISM: BELIEF CONCEIVES, FAITH DELIVERS
  • TO BELIEVE is PASSIVE — it is to be PREGNANT WITH THE WORD. 
  • FAITH is ACTIVE — it is to ACT CORRESPONDINGLY on what you believe. 
  • By EXERCISING FAITH, the CONTENT IN CONTEXT MUST DELIVER UNHINDERED. 
  • COMMUNICATE means to — SPEAK, SAY, TALK, DECLARE, ANNOUNCE — forth to life MATTERS by your FAITH in the WORD, in Christ Jesus’ stead, to get EFFECTUAL RESULTS. 
  1. THE FOUNDATION: A DONE DEED IN CHRIST

VICTORY and TRIUMPH HAVE BEEN WROUGHT in Christ Jesus. Our work is to ENACT and AUTHENTICATE it daily by ACKNOWLEDGING the good done in us — Philemon 1:6.This is Abrahamic BELIEF and FAITH: “CALLETH THOSE THINGS WHICH BE NOT AS THOUGH THEY WERE” — Romans 4:17. Even against natural law concerning Sarah’s womb, he spoke until it manifested. “We having the SAME spirit of FAITH… I BELIEVED, and therefore have I SPOKEN; we also BELIEVE, and therefore SPEAK” — 2 Corinthians 4:13.  

  1. THE APPLICATION: SPEAKTOMOUNTAINS 

Every MOUNTAIN, VALLEY, CROOKED ROAD and ROUGH PLACE is a LONG-STANDING OBSTACLE. It requires FAITH COMMUNICATION to create an EFFECTUAL, results-oriented ATMOSPHERE. 

“WHOSOEVER shall SAY unto THIS MOUNTAIN… and shall NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART… he shall have WHATSOEVER he SAITH” — Mark 11:23-24.Even Jesus spoke to the fig tree and it dried up — Mark 11:12-24. This is DOING LIFE and LIVING GODLY with heaven’s language. 

  1. THE ALIGNMENT: HEART, MOUTH, HEAVEN, EARTH

God SEARCHES the hearts and minds. He hears our communication to the heavenly for our EARTHLY OUTPOUR. “With the HEART man BELIEVETH unto righteousness; and with the MOUTH CONFESSION is MADE unto SALVATION” — Romans 10:10. The WORDS OF FAITH must DWELL RICHLY in you. Believe with the heart, declare with the mouth, and reality is made manifest by faith in grace. 

  1. THEPRAYER AND CHARGE

Just as Paul prayed for Philemon, the charge is that you come into the knowledge and understanding of having EFFECTUAL RESULTS in all life dealings. Watch over your words. THE SPIRIT OF UNDERSTANDING: A KEY TO ENACT AND AUTHENTICATE YOU IN LIVING AND DOING LIFE WISELY! 

A WISE MAN IS STRONG; yea, a man of KNOWLEDGE increaseth STRENGTH” Proverbs 24:5. 

It is true that a man of KNOWLEDGE is a man of STRENGTH; but a man of UNDERSTANDING is a man of WISDOM — the wisdom to live and do life wisely — anywhere, any day and any time, in the grace of Christ Jesus’ stead.  

“WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPAL THING; therefore get WISDOM: and with all thy getting get UNDERSTANDING” (Proverbs 4:7). 

I hereby EMPLOY you EXPEDIENTLY to pray in line with Ephesians 1:15-23 for THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING AND THE REVELATION OF KNOWLEDGE, in order to LIVE and DO LIFE WISELY. 

For WISDOM — the product of KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING — gives life and causes one to SHINE and RADIATE IN GLORY.  

“Who is as the WISE man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a MAN’S WISDOM MAKETH HIS FACE TO SHINE, and the boldness of his face shall be changed” Ecclesiastes 8:1. 

UNDERSTANDING emancipates and gives complete FREEDOM in all areas of life. 

For until you UNDERSTAND what you claim to KNOW, you are as good as the IGNORANT — UNINFORMED, UNPRODUCTIVE and ILL-EQUIPPED. 

A mere PASSION and KNOWLEDGE take one nowhere until there is UNDERSTANDING of that knowledgeable passion. 

Seek UNDERSTANDING today in the light of the Scriptures, for God will open the eyes of your understanding and give you ENLIGHTENMENT and ILLUMINATION in LIFE and GRACE to ensure GOD’S BLESSEDNESS within you in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

Therefore, I pray that the eyes of your understanding may be ENLIGHTENED and ILLUMINATED, in LIFE and GRACE, to ensure the needed WISDOM that will give you LEVERAGE and STABILITY in your God-ordained PLAN, PURPOSE and PURSUIT. Amen!  

Herein is the PRAYERLINE of – Ephesians 1:15-23 to appropriate for yourself accordingly: 

“Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in MY PRAYERS: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may GIVE to you the spirit of WISDOM and REVELATION in the KNOWLEDGE of Him, 18 the eyes of your UNDERSTANDING being enlightened; that you may KNOW what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all” Ephesians 1:15-23 NKJV. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“A WISE MAN IS STRONG; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength” Proverbs 24:5. 

“GOOD UNDERSTANDING GIVES FAVOUR: but the way of transgressors (ignorance) is hard (difficult, rough)” Proverbs 13:15 (Emphasis mine).

You need KNOWLEDGE for strength, but you must pursue UNDERSTANDING to get WISDOM. WISDOM is the principal thing because it makes you shine, gives favour, freedom, and authenticates wise living. Therefore, pray Ephesians 1:15-23 and seek understanding continually in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

HOLDING FORTH UNTO THE MYSTERY OF THE FAITH: AS AN UNPARALLELED ARMY – THE GOD’S BATTLE AXE AND WEAPONS OF WAR! 

“Thou art my BATTLE AXE AND WEAPONS OF WAR: for with thee will I BREAK (SHATTER ) in pieces the nations, and with thee will I DESTROY kingdoms; 21 and with thee will I BREAK in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I BREAK in pieces the chariot and his rider; 22 with thee also will I BREAK in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I BREAK in pieces old and young; and with thee will I BREAK in pieces the young man and the maid; 23 I will also BREAK in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I BREAK in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I BREAK in pieces captains and rulers” Jeremiah 51:20-23 Emphasis Mine. 

THE UNPARALLELED ARMY — THE CHURCH OF GOD NEEDS FIRSTLY TO COME TO THE POINT OF FULLY ACKNOWLEDGING AND UNDERSTANDING THE ESSENCE OF EMBRACING THE SCRIPTURAL TRUTH AND VITALITY THAT — YOU ARE — GOD’S BATTLE AXE AND WEAPONS OF WAR! 

This indicates that you are not just enrolled in the army by virtue of being born of God, but you are the army, the vessel, the weapon in use to transmit the weaponry to WIN and TRIUMPH in every way of God’s cause on earth, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

And this you do by HOLDING onto the MYSTERY of the FAITH in PURE CONSCIENCE, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“Holding the MYSTERY of the FAITH in a PURE CONSCIENCE” 1 Timothy 3:9. 

FAITH is our life connection, connectivity and currency of demand and supply from heaven for our earthly affairs. FAITH is NOW — present tense, and it is active, not passive, unlike BELIEF which is passive. 

Faith is the only spiritual, legal and tender mystery for doing Kingdom business and exchange with God. It pleases God. And FAITH is about ACTING accordingly and correspondingly on what you BELIEVE concerning God’s WORD in context, without a doubtful thought. Mark 11:20-24. Hebrews 11:1-40. 

Faith is not MYSTERIOUS or MYSTICAL as some may THINK. It is not a CREED, DOCTRINE, RELIGION, SECTARIANISM or DENOMINATION. Faith is the heavenly currency that operates in divine mystery that cannot be adulterated or counterfeited, as other legal and vital tenders in use in the world can. 

Faith is spiritual and life-streaming 24/7 to meet all human affairs with heavenly supply, unhindered. And there is the need for you to hold earnestly and steadfastly to the Faith that brings about victory, if one is to succeed, excel and triumph with God in an ONWARD and UPWARD trajectory in life and grace. 

Faith is not just the spiritual, legal and vital tender to do heavenly business for our earthly affairs, but the mystery of grace that can and will always paralyse every operation of the ENEMY and his COHORTS against the Believer’s FAITH in Christ Jesus, in God. 

And as such, there is the need to be alert, vigilant and sensitive in the Spirit, to exercise a pure heart and a good conscience to safeguard the FAITH from the mode of operation of the enemy and his cohorts, especially towards you as the UNPARALLELED ARMY — the Church of God in Christ Jesus’ stead.  

“And herein do I EXERCISE myself, to have always a CONSCIENCE void of offence toward God, and toward men” Acts 24:16. 

“Now the END of the commandment is CHARITY (LOVE) out of a PURE heart, and of a GOOD CONSCIENCE, and of FAITH UNFEIGNED” 1 Timothy 1:5/Emphasis Mine. 

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are TRUE, whatsoever things are HONEST, whatsoever things are JUST, whatsoever things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY, whatsoever things are of GOOD REPORT; if there be any VIRTUE, and if there be any PRAISE, THINK ON THESE THINGS” Philippians 4:8. 

There are — LIFE BATTLES, knowingly or unknowingly. And these Life BATTLES are real to ALL, and they are irrespective of who you are — and it’s not about if or when. 

And OVERCOMING and TRIUMPHING is ASSURED as we do life by holding steadfastly to the mystery of FAITH. That’s what the enemy and his cohorts can’t figure out — how, by faith, victory is certainly certain over the world systems, when and while dealing with an INFORMED unparalleled army — the you, the local and universal Body of Christ Jesus. 

“For everyone born of God is VICTORIOUS and OVERCOMES the world; and this is the VICTORY that has CONQUERED and OVERCOME the world—our [continuing, persistent] FAITH [in Jesus the Son of God]. 5 Who is the one who is VICTORIOUS and OVERCOMES the world? It is the one who BELIEVES and RECOGNIZES the fact that is the Son of God” 1 John 5:4-5/Amplified. 

And the greatest of ALL life battles is the BATTLE of your FAITH in Christ Jesus. 

And there’s an ENEMY and COHORTS out there 24/7 that are fighting daily, going to and fro, roaring aggressively and looking for any avenue and opportunity to devour your FAITH in Christ. 

For the ENEMY and COHORTS know that if they can get hold of your FAITH, EVERYTHING about you will be DEVOURED. Your FAITH is the VICTORY and TRIUMPH that overcomes the WORLD’S set-up SYSTEM, which is run and controlled by the ENEMY and COHORTS against your wellbeing in Christ Jesus. 

“Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be ALERT and CAUTIOUS at ALL TIMES. That ENEMY of yours, the DEVIL, PROWLS around like a ROARING lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour. 9 But RESIST him, be FIRM in your FAITH [against his attack—rooted, established, immovable], knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being experienced by your brothers and sisters throughout the world. [You do not suffer alone.] 10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favour], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be]” 1 Peter 5:8-10/Amplified. 

Hence, when the ENEMY and COHORTS roar, or make attacks on you in their acts of operandi, you need to know and understand that their actual PRIMARY aim and objective are not after your — Money, Family, Career, Relationship, Business, Ministry and such like. 

Their PRIMARY intent is that you GIVE UP and QUIT on your FAITH, for your FAITH is the ONLY divinely instilled mechanism that OVERCOMES and ENACTS your REDEMPTION in humanity to live and do life.  

“FIGHT the GOOD FIGHT of FAITH, lay HOLD on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast PROFESSED a good PROFESSION before many witnesses” 1 Timothy 6:12. 

We are enjoined, therefore, to stand up tall by HOLDING ON TO the mystery of our FAITH, in order to FIGHT the GOOD FIGHT of FAITH in any life BATTLE. There is no room for fainting and giving up so easily in any phase and sphere, because the victory is ASSURED  

“If thou hast RUN with the FOOTMEN, and they have WEARIED thee, then how canst thou CONTEND with HORSES? and if in the land of PEACE, wherein thou TRUSTEDST, they WEARIED thee, then how wilt thou DO in the SWELLING of Jordan?” Jeremiah 12:5. 

Therefore, BUILD UP your most Holy FAITH, as a way of PREPAREDNESS for life’s daily BATTLES, in order to SOAR IN DOMINION through life and the years of living that our God will make possible for you in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

For NO FAITH means NO PLEASING of God, for the just must live by HOLDING ON TO the mystery of the Faith to win and triumph. 

Hence, PREPAREDNESS is imperative and non-negotiable.  

“The horse is PREPARED against the day of battle: but SAFETY is of the LORD” Proverbs 21:31. 

For your FAITH is the MYSTERY for your VICTORY, TRIUMPH, SUCCESS, DOMINION, THRIVING and ACHIEVING; and to OVERCOME and to live the life of A MORE THAN CONQUEROR status — in LIFE and GRACE, in Christ Jesus’ stead — and you need to HOLD ON TO the FAITH MYSTERY in a PURE CONSCIENCE, thereby making all things possible. 

Your FAITH is a one-lane, two-way street — Your Today and your Tomorrow — TREASURE IT. And HOLD ON TO it in a PURE CONSCIENCE as an UNPARALLELED ARMY. 

Your FAITH is the MYSTERY for your VICTORY in life and godliness — HOLD ON TO IT WITH A PURE CONSCIENCE.  

FURTHER SCRIPTURAL READING THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest WAR a GOOD WARFARE; 19 HOLDING FAITH, and a GOOD CONSCIENCE; which some having put away concerning FAITH have made shipwreck: 20 of whom is Hymenæus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme” 1 Timothy 1:18-20. 

“FIGHT the GOOD FIGHT of FAITH, lay HOLD on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” 1 Timothy 6:12. 

“For though we WALK IN THE FLESH [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] WARFARE according to the flesh and using the WEAPONS of man. 4 The WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT PHYSICAL [weapons of flesh and blood]. “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to TRIUMPH in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in EVERY PLACE” 2 Corinthians 2:14.

You are not just enlisted in God’s army because you are born of God. You are the army — the vessel and weapon God uses to BREAK nations, DESTROY kingdoms, and TRIUMPH in His cause on earth.

FAITH is not a creed, doctrine, or passive belief. It is: 

  • Your heavenly currency for Kingdom business — the legal tender for demand and supply from heaven.

  • Uncounterfeitable and life-streaming 24/7 for every human affair. 
  • Mark 11:20-24 and Hebrews 11:1-40 demonstrate faith in action. 
  1. THE BATTLE AND THE ENEMY’S STRATEGY

Life BATTLES are inevitable. The enemy and his cohorts are constantly seeking to devour. 
1 Peter 5:8-10 — “Be sober, be ALERT and CAUTIOUS at ALL TIMES. That ENEMY of yours, the DEVIL, PROWLS around like a ROARING lion… But RESIST him, be FIRM in your FAITH” 

Their primary target is not your money, career, or family. It is your FAITH. If they take your faith, everything collapses. That is why you must FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH.

  1. THE CERTAINTY OF VICTORY

Overcoming is guaranteed through persistent faith. 
1 John 5:4-5 — “For everyone born of God is VICTORIOUS and OVERCOMES the world; and this is the VICTORY that has CONQUERED and OVERCOME the world—our FAITH” 
Romans 8:35-39 — “NAY, IN ALL THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM THAT LOVED US”

“. . . 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because THE LOVE OF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 BUT GOD COMMENDETH HIS LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US . . .” Romans 5:1-21. 

The CHURCH that Christ Jesus died to raise as His own and He is coming back to take as His own is the CHURCH that is BOUNDLESS IN HIS LOVE by the HOLY SPIRIT given to us. And you ARE that Church, knowingly or unknowingly, if you are born of God in Christ Jesus. Amen. 

This Church that I know — which Christ DIED to RAISE as His own and He is coming back to TAKE as His own — is the Church WITHOUT WALLS, BOUNDLESS IN HIS LOVE, shared lavishly and poured abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit that is given to us in Him. 

Its embodiment entails ONENESS in all things, in spite of the constituent and diverse members. It is the Church where greed and selfishness have no place. It is the Church where segregation by race, colour, class, status and tongue have no place; and ALL are welcome, beautified and celebrated. 

It is the Church without self-centredness, and it is mirrored in the ONENESS of the WE and not the I and THEM.  

The ONENESS is unique in the BLESSEDNESS and have MADE us as: 

  • One Body 
  • One Faith 
  • One Lord 
  • One God 
  • One people 
  • One Nation 
  • One Body 
  • One Hope 
  • One Love 
  • One Calling 
  • One Baptism 
  • One REDEMPTION For ALL 
  • One Spirit 
  • One Christ 
  • One Father 
  • Father God Above All 
  • Father God Through All 
  • And Father God In All

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“There is ONE body, and ONE Spirit, even as ye are called in ONE hope of your calling; 5 ONE Lord, ONE faith, ONE baptism, 6 ONE God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all” Ephesians 4:4-6. 

“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast REDEEMED us to God by thy blood out of every KINDRED, and TONGUE, and PEOPLE, and NATION; 10 and hast MADE us unto our God kings and priests: and WE shall reign on the earth” Revelation 5:9-10. 

“For as the body is ONE, and hath many MEMBERS, and all the MEMBERS of that ONE body, being many, are ONE body: so also is Christ. 13 For by ONE Spirit are we all baptized into ONE body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into ONE Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? “Therefore become IMITATORS of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]; 2 and WALK CONTINUALLY IN LOVE [that is, value one another—practice empathy and compassion, unselfishly seeking the best for others], just as Christ also LOVED you and GAVE Himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God [slain for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance“ Ephesians 5:1-2 (Amplified). 

SUMMARY: 
This is a message declaration about the nature and identity of the true Church as a love-bound, Spirit-united, wall-less Body. It calls believers to live out the ONENESS that Christ died to create and is coming back to take as His own. 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. THE FOUNDATION: GOD’S LOVE SHED ABROAD

From Romans 5:5, 8 — “THE LOVE OF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” 
This love was demonstrated when Christ died for us while we were yet sinners. 
Therefore, the Church that Jesus is raising and returning for is BOUNDLESS IN HIS LOVE, not in human effort, but by the Holy Spirit. 

  1. THE IDENTITY: YOU ARE THAT CHURCH

If you are born of God in Christ Jesus, then you ARE that Church, knowingly or unknowingly. 
This Church is WITHOUT WALLS. It is not defined by buildings, denomination, or borders. 
It is BOUNDLESS IN HIS LOVE, shared lavishly and poured abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit Romans 5:5. 

  1. THE CHARACTER: ONENESS WITHOUT DIVISION

The embodiment of this Church is ONENESS in all things, despite diverse members. 
It is a place where: 

  • Greed and selfishness have no place 
  • Segregation by race, colour, class, status and tongue have no place 
  • ALL are welcome, beautified and celebrated 
    It is mirrored in WE and not in I and THEM. It is selfless, not self-centred. 

This ONENESS is expressed as: 
One Body, One Faith, One Lord, One God, One People, One Nation, One Hope, One Love, One Calling, One Baptism, One REDEMPTION For ALL, One Spirit, One Christ, One Father — Father God Above All, Through All, and In All. Ephesians 4:4-6 

  1. THE SCRIPTURAL PICTURE: ONE BODY, MANY MEMBERS

1 Corinthians 12:12-27 teaches that though we are MANY MEMBERS, we are ONE body. 
Every member is set by God and is necessary. There should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. 
When one suffers, all suffer. When one is honoured, all rejoice. Revelation 5:9-10 adds that Christ has REDEEMED us to God by His blood out of every KINDRED, and TONGUE, and PEOPLE, and NATION. 

  1. THE CALL: IMITATE GOD AND WALK IN LOVE

Ephesians 5:1-2 — “WALK CONTINUALLY IN LOVE… just as Christ also LOVED us and GAVE Himself up for us.” 
We are to be imitators of God as beloved children.

IN ONE SENTENCE: 
This is a prophetic call to recognise that the true Church is Christ’s love-bound, Spirit-filled Body without walls or division, where ONENESS, diversity and sacrificial love define us — and you, as a born-again believer, are a vital member of that glorious Church.

Hope is a vital component of faith. In other words, faith is secured and assured when it works in the company of hope. Hope is the element that sets life’s goals, enabling faith to function effectively and efficiently. 

Hope is a desire based on the promise of God, whether personified or generalised. This promise communicates the possibility of God’s blessing to the individual, family or nation, and it encourages the soul. If this seed is planted into the soil of the heart, and the soil is kept right, it will bring forth a harvest of faith. Bible hope is faith in seed form. 

However, every human being has hope planted within them. That is why each day we all rise with the hope that something good will come our way, or happen to us. Hope, though, can be of a natural or a spiritual kind. The difference is that natural hope does not carry the eternal effect of spiritual hope, which is embedded in the reborn spirit of man. For the natural man cannot fathom the realm and sphere of the spiritual man. 

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth [examines] all things, yet he himself is judged [examined] of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 2:14-16/Emphasis mine.

  1. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HOPE AND FAITH

Hope is a vital component of faith. Faith is secured and assured when it works together with hope. 
Hope sets life’s goals. It enables faith to function effectively and efficiently. 
Bible hope is faith in seed form. Hope is a desire based on the promise of God. When planted in the heart and the heart is kept right, it produces a harvest of faith. 
Hebrews 11:1 defines it: Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. 

  1. NATURAL HOPE VERSUS SPIRITUAL HOPE

Every person has hope — we rise each day expecting something good. But there are two kinds of hope: 

Natural hope — common to all men, but it has no eternal effect. 
Spiritual hope — embedded in the reborn spirit of man through Christ. 
1 Corinthians 2:14-16 explains the difference: the natural man cannot receive or discern the things of the Spirit, for they are spiritually discerned. Only the spiritual man, who has the mind of Christ, can grasp the realm of assured, eternal hope. 
1 Corinthians 15:19 warns: if our hope is only for this life, we are most miserable.
