GENUINE LOVE KNOWS NO FEAR IN CHRIST JESUS! 

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for GOD IS LOVE. . . 16 And we have known and believed the LOVE that God hath to us. GOD IS LOVE; and he that dwelleth in LOVE dwelleth in God, and God in him” 1 John 4:8, 16. 

God is Love. He’s love definition and the embodiment of love in nature and character. And genuine Love, which is intentional and unconditional, which is of God – KNOWS NO FEAR – for as God is in love in Christ Jesus – so ARE we and ought to be in love in His world and for this world, as it is written: 

“Herein is our LOVE made PERFECT (COMPLETE, WHOLE, MATURED), that we may have BOLDNESS in the day of judgment: BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. 18 There is no FEAR in LOVE; but PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR, because FEAR involves TORMENT. But he who FEARS has not been MADE PERFECT IN LOVE” 1 John 4:17-18/Emphasis Mine. 

Love is gracious and nobody ever rejects genuine love of God when it shows up. Not even the Devil if he has an opportunity to be shown, which unfortunately is not available to him, and his cohorts from the fall. 

So I asked – HAVE YOU BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED IN LOVE? ARE YOU NOW AFRAID OF LIVING AND WALKING IN LOVE? Whatever you feel or think shouldn’t be a reason not to walk and live in the love of God that’s intentional and unconditional, for GENUINE love which is of God is in the human HEART [SPIRIT-BEING], and not in the human HEAD [FLESHLY-RULED or BODILY-RULED]. Love has no characteristics of – fear, intimidation, timidity, cowardice, wickedness, evil and such like in it, except there’s PERVERSION. For it is when the PURPOSE of a thing is misappropriated that ABUSE and PERVERSION sets in. And that’s not enough reason to be afraid of living and walking in the genuine love of God in Christ Jesus stead. 

The Genuine – LOVE OF GOD – is possible and alive and it’s here: it’s graciously and lavishly shared, abundantly poured and spread abroad in our HEARTS (SPIRIT-BEING) by the Holy Spirit that is given to us. For our salvation in redemption is born out of God’s LOVE in Christ Jesus, and it’s an irreversible default embedded as a DNA in us in becoming born of God in Christ Jesus. Amen. 

“Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s LOVE has been abundantly POURED out within our HEARTS through the Holy Spirit who was given to us . . . 8 But God clearly shows and proves His own LOVE for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:5, 8/Amplified. 

The Perfect [complete, mature and wholesome] love, meaning, God’s genuine love [intentional and unconditional] will cast out the spirit of fear, cowardice and inferiority complex of all forms of perversion. God is love, He can’t offer or make you live and walk in fear when you are living and walking in His love. Where genuine love is, there’s a show up of God’s presence, and there is no room for lust or hate or selfishness or greed or any form of perversion that’s of fleshly ruled in any forms as to sentiments, prejudice or dissimulation. 

JUST KNOW THIS – GENUINE LOVE OF GOD – KNOWS NO FEAR – FOR AS HE IS IN LOVE – SO ARE WE IN HIS WORLD OF LOVE, IN THIS WORLD. 

Check yourself today – IF IN FEAR, CAST IT OUT in God’s love. And Be FREE and be BLESSED. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“Herein is our love MADE PERFECT, that we may have BOLDNESS in the day of judgment: BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. 18 There is no FEAR in LOVE; but perfect love casts out fear, because FEAR involves TORMENT. But he who FEARS has not been MADE PERFECT IN LOVE” 1 John 4:17-18. 

“In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. 18 There is no FEAR in love [dread does not exist]. But PERFECT (complete, full-grown) love drives out FEAR, because Fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is AFRAID [of God’s judgment] is not PERFECTED in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]” 1 John 4:17-18 (Amplified). 

“For God hath not GIVEN us the spirit of FEAR; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” 2 Timothy 1:7. 

“For God did not GIVE us a spirit of TIMIDITY or COWARDICE or FEAR, but [He has GIVEN us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]” 2 Timothy 1:7 (Amplified). 

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the LOVE of God is SHED abroad in our HEARTS (SPIRIT MAN) by the Holy Ghost which is GIVEN unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his LOVE toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:5-8. 

SUMMARY: 

The message is a full doctrinal charge centred on 1 John 4:8, 16-18 and Romans 5:5, 8, with the anchor truth: GENUINE LOVE KNOWS NO FEAR IN CHRIST JESUS. The message opens by defining God as love itself — the definition, nature, and embodiment of love in character. From this foundation, genuine love is presented as intentional, unconditional, and of God. Because God is love in Christ Jesus, believers are called and ought to walk in that same love in His world and for this world. This is tied directly to 1 John 4:17: “AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD.” 

The Core Revelation is that perfect, mature, complete love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18 is emphasised: there is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear involves torment. Fear, intimidation, timidity, cowardice, wickedness, and evil are not characteristics of genuine god-love. They only enter through perversion when the purpose of a thing is misappropriated. The message confronts disappointment and trauma in love with a pastoral question: HAVE YOU BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED IN LOVE? ARE YOU NOW AFRAID OF LIVING AND WALKING IN LOVE? The answer is clear: whatever you feel, or think is not reason to abandon love. Genuine love is of God and resides in the human HEART [SPIRIT-BEING], not the human HEAD [FLESHLY-RULED OR BODILY-RULED]. 

The message declares that love is gracious and irresistible. Nobody ever rejects genuine love of God when it shows up. Not even the devil would reject it if he had opportunity, but that opportunity was cut off for him and his cohorts from the fall. The genuine love of God is not theory — it is possible, alive, and here now. It is graciously and lavishly shared, abundantly poured and spread abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given to us, according to Romans 5:5. Salvation itself is born out of God’s love in Christ Jesus, and this love is an irreversible default, embedded as DNA in us when we are born of God in Christ Jesus. 

The message then expands to the evidence and proof of this love. Romans 5:8 shows God commended His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Where genuine love shows up, God’s presence shows up, and there is no room for lust, hate, selfishness, greed, or any form of fleshly perversion such as sentiment, prejudice, or dissimulation. 2 Timothy 1:7 seals the charge: God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. 

The closing is an altar call and practical charge. The reader is commanded to check himself/herself today. If in fear, cast it out in God’s love. The promise is freedom and blessing. The benediction pronounces: BE FREE AND BE BLESSED. AMEN. 

Key points drawn from the message: 

  • First, God is love by nature and definition. He cannot offer or make you live in fear when you are living and walking in His love.  
  • Second, genuine love is intentional and unconditional. It lives in the heart, the spirit-being, and is free from fear, intimidation, and perversion.  
  • Third, perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. Perversion only sets in when purpose is misappropriated, but perversion is not reason to reject genuine love. 
  •  Fourth, this love is not earned — it is poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit and embedded in us at new birth.

  • Sixth, believers are commanded to mirror Christ: “AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD,” which means walking in boldness, not fear. 

Call to action for every believer: 

Examine yourself today. Identify any fear, timidity, inferiority, or perversion and cast it out immediately by embracing God’s love. Refuse to let past disappointment keep you from walking in love. Choose daily to live and walk in the love of God that is intentional, unconditional, and spirit led. Allow the Holy Spirit to keep His love shed abroad in your heart. Live boldly without fear, knowing that as Christ is, so are you in this world. Amen.

THE KINGDOM CAUSE: IT’S BY GOD’S POWER AND GRACE! 

“And with great POWER gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great GRACE was upon them all” Acts 4:33. 

The Kingdom cause of God is about doing life and living godly by God’s enabling POWER and GRACE in everywhere and everyway in Christ Jesus stead. The POWER makes one to FUNCTION and the GRACE makes one to BECOME in Him, in Christ Jesus stead. Amen. 

And as these happen, and become one’s daily reality, then you can take the bold step to stand in God’s GRACE and POWER to speak forth the words of this life UNRESERVEDLY, UNCOMPROMISINGLY and WITHOUT ADULTERATION, DISTORTION, or PERVERSION of the TRUTH, in Christ Jesus stead, at any point of opportunity as it’s written: 

“Go, STAND and SPEAK in the TEMPLE to the people ALL the WORDS of this life” Acts 5:20. 

Even so was my home coming as Apostle Paul and Barnabas, to my place of birth: Spiritually and biologically [Acts 15:35-36]. Gracing the incredible people of God by whose opportunity I was founded and established in the grace to go forth and preach the GOSPEL to other nations of the world. To Preach and Teach and Minister the Gospel was such gracious and honourable by the accordance received each time of coming home. In all, it’s by God’s enabling grace and power, and to His glory and honour shall it ever be in Christ Jesus stead. Amen. 

And special thanks will always be to my beloved and dear spiritual mentor and father in the faith, Rt. Rev [Bishop] F. UDUME; who hosted this immeasurable and unforgettable opportunity of my home coming in such a time as this, and the incredible leadership team he has, and to the Church of known and unknown people of God in Christ Jesus in the grace that I have longed to see in such a time too, to share hearts, thoughts, and prayers of years apart. 

Be Blessed in the grace and power that makes us to FUNCTION and to BECOME unapologetically in the grace, in Christ Jesus stead. Amen. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, TEACHING and PREACHING THE WORD of the Lord, with many others also. 36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and VISIT our BRETHREN in EVERY CITY where we have PREACHED THE WORD of the Lord, and SEE HOW THEY DO” Acts 15:35-36. 

SUMMARY: 

The message centres on Acts 4:33 and Acts 5:20. It declares that the kingdom cause of God is not performance but doing life and living godly by God’s enabling power and grace in Christ Jesus. Power enables function, grace enables becoming. When these become daily reality, the believer is positioned to stand in god’s grace and power to speak the words of this life unreservedly, uncompromisingly, and without adulteration, distortion, or perversion of the truth. 

the minister then likens his homecoming to the apostle paul and Barnabas pattern in Acts 15:35-36 — returning spiritually and biologically to his place of birth to strengthen brethren. He testifies of grace received through the people of God who founded and established him to preach the gospel to other nations. Each time of coming home carried accordance, grace, and honour. 

The message closes with heartfelt thanksgiving to Rt. Rev Bishop F. Udume, his leadership team, and the church — known and unknown — for hosting this homecoming “in such a time as this”. the desire was to share hearts, thoughts, and prayers after years apart. the benediction seals all with a charge to be blessed in grace and power to function and become unapologetically in Christ Jesus. 

KEY POINTS:

  2. Function vs Become – power makes one to function, grace makes one to become in Him. Both are needed for effective ministry and godly living. 
  3. Bold Proclamation – When power and grace are daily reality, take bold steps to “stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life” [Acts 5:20] without adulteration, distortion, or perversion. 
  4. Paul/Barnabas Pattern – Homecoming is for visitation, encouragement, and seeing how brethren do [Acts 15:36]. It’s spiritual and biological, rooted in accordance and honour. 
  5. Honour to Spiritual Covering – Special thanks to Rt. Rev Bishop F. Udume, his leadership team, and the church for the platform, opportunity, and grace that founded the minister for global gospel assignment. 
  6. Glory to God – “In all, it’s by God’s enabling grace and power, and to his glory and honour shall it ever be in Christ Jesus.” 

CALL TO ACTION — INCLUSIVE FOR ALL: 

  1. Embrace Power and grace – depend daily on god’s enabling power to function and his grace to become what he ordained in Christ Jesus. 
  2. Speak the word boldly – stand in grace and power to declare the words of this life without fear, compromise, or distortion, at every opportunity [Acts 5:20]. 
  3. Honour Spiritual Fathers – value and appreciate those through whom God founded and established you. give thanks for platform and covering. 
  4. Visit and strengthen brethren – follow the Paul/Barnabas model: go again to visit brethren in every city, teach, preach, and see how they do [Acts 15:36]. 
  5. Live to God’s glory – let all service, preaching, teaching, and ministering return glory and honour to God alone in Christ Jesus. Amen. 

SELAH — PAUSE AND PONDER: Kingdom impact is not by glamour but by grace-enabled power. Function without becoming is empty. Becoming without function is hidden. Both together release bold, unadulterated truth.

GOD’S INTENT IS TO BLESS ALL: The NATION [As ISRAEL] – The PRIEST [As AARON] – The PEOPLE [As THOSE THAT REVERENCE] The LORD! 

“And they sung a NEW song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast SLAIN, and hast REDEEMED us to God by thy blood out of every KINDRED, and TONGUE, and PEOPLE, and NATION; 10 and hast MADE us unto our God KINGS and PRIESTS: and we shall REIGN on the earth” Revelation 5:9-10. 

God’s intent is to BLESS [EMPOWER] you and all, in order to achieve their individual given PURPOSE in Him in Christ Jesus stead. For His BLESSEDNESS is about EMPOWERING all – The redeemed people, that’s made up, and constitute a nation of kings and priesthood, and all are to REIGN in life, as His New Creation Testament in the grace. And the New Creation of God, that’s redeemed, constitute the Church of God – a breed that’s made up of the born-of-God Jews in Christ Jesus, and the born-of-God Gentiles in Christ Jesus; wherein the born-of-God Jews represent the constituents [custodians] of the laws [commandments] of God, while the Gentiles represent all others who were without the laws [commandments] of God; and both are now with God’s laws written in their hearts and not on the tablets of stone, meaning as it was by Moses. The born-of-God Jews, and the born-of-God, Gentiles, are together REDEEMED and JUSTIFIED by the enabling grace of God in Christ Jesus through His shed blood of redemption. For it’s into His BLESSEDNESS that they are both called in the grace [1 Corinthians 1:9]. And together they have become the spiritual Jews [whose circumcision is of the heart and not of the flesh], thereby making up the Church of God. Hallelujah. Amen. 

“Give none offence, neither to THE JEWS, nor to THE GENTILES, nor to THE CHURCH OF GOD: 33 even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved “1 Corinthians 10:32-33. 

“For he is not a Jew, which is one OUTWARDLY; neither is that CIRCUMCISION, which is OUTWARD in the FLESH: 29 but he is a Jew, which is one INWARDLY; and CIRCUMCISION is that of the HEART, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God” Romans 2:28-29. 

And in Christ Jesus there’s neither Jew or Gentile, nor Greeks nor barbarian nor male nor female and such like, but a people redeemed and justified by faith in the redemption blood of Christ Jesus. [Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29; Galatians 5:6, 13; Romans 1:16-17; Romans 5:1-2, 8]. And God, in the course of fulfilling His purpose of blessedness, is to BLESS the individual nations and all who REVERENCE Him as the Lord God, and His priesthood servants, who are called of Him to give spiritual direction of His purpose and cause to all irrespective, and without prejudice, sentiments, and dissimulation – [Romans 8:28; Ephesians 1:11-12/AMP]. God’s blessedness is across the board – the house of Israel [speaks of Nation], the house of Aaron [speaks of Priesthood] and the house with reverential fear of God [speaks of every other individual and togetherness]. 

“O ISRAEL, trust thou in the Lord: He is their help and their shield. 10. O house of AARON, trust in the Lord: He is their help and their shield. 11 Ye that FEAR the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield. 12 The Lord hath been MINDFUL of us: He will BLESS us; He will BLESS the HOUSE OF ISRAEL; he will BLESS the HOUSE OF AARON. 13 He will BLESS them that FEAR THE LORD, BOTH SMALL AND GREAT. 14 The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. 15 Ye are BLESSED of the Lord which made heaven and earth. 16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. 17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence. 18 But we will BLESS the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord” Psalms 115:9-18 

Jesus Christ is the essence and fulfilment of God’s redemption for mankind, and He is the sum and end of – the Law, the Psalms, and the Prophets; and in Him we are all BLESSED [EMPOWERED] of the Father God by the Holy Spirit, to enable us fulfil His purpose in REDEMPTION for us all, in His BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus stead. Amen. And by Him, we’ve been made kings and priest unto our God in Him [Luke 24:26-27, 44-46; John 1:45; Matthew 22:34-46; Ephesians 1:3]. And by His righteousness, nations are exalted as well as individuals in the grace. And God wants to see every Nation and all People [great and small] and His Priests [the REDEEMED and chosen royal priesthood] to have access and enjoy His BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus as promised in the REDEMPTION bill of rights and privileges. 

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 but in EVERY NATION he that FEARETH [REVERENCE] Him, and worketh RIGHTEOUSNESS, is ACCEPTED with Him” Acts 10:34-35. 

“RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTETH A NATION: but sin is a reproach to any people” Proverbs 14:34. 

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the FAITHFUL witness, and THE FIRST BEGOTTEN of the dead, and the PRINCE of the kings of the earth. Unto him that LOVED us, and WASHED us from our sins in his own blood, 6 and hath MADE us KINGS and PRIESTS unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” Revelation 1:5-6.

“But ye are a CHOSEN generation, a ROYAL priesthood, an HOLY nation, a PECULIAR people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath CALLED you out of darkness into His marvellous light: 10 which in time past were NOT a people, but are NOW the people of God: which had NOT obtained mercy, but NOW have obtained mercy” 1 Peter 2:9-10. 

The Holy writ book of Psalms 115:9-18, gives a summary of three perspectives and identifications of Father God, as your opportunity to have FAITH in His intent to lavish His BLESSEDNESS on you as His redeemed priesthood, His people, His nation as in His redemption in Christ Jesus stead as Abraham seed. Amen. [Genesis 12:1-3; Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29]. And in God’s BLESSEDNESS for the New creation in Christ Jesus, there’s no Sorrow and no conditionality, instead it enriches, empowers, and enthrones the individual and collective people to prosper in His grace. [Proverbs 10:23; Ephesians 1:3, 3 John 1:2; John 10:10]. 

May you be blessed – empowered to succeed, achieve and become – in the grace, as you do life and live godly in the grace in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to RECEIVE glory and honour and power: for thou hast CREATED all things, and for thy PLEASURE they ARE and WERE created” Revelation 4:11. 

SUMMARY: 

the message emphasises that Jesus Christ is the essence and fulfilment of God’s Redemption plan. By His blood, every nation, priesthood, and individual who reverences God is redeemed, justified, and made kings and priests. God shows no partiality — His Blessedness, which empowers for purpose and dominion, rests equally on the house of Israel, the house of Aaron, and all who fear him. In Christ Jesus, all divisions are broken, making the Jews and gentiles one new creation, one royal priesthood with God’s laws written in their hearts. the goal is fulfilment of His cause, not worldly success. His Blessedness enriches, empowers, and enthrones without sorrow or conditionality. 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. Redemption and Identity – Christ is the sum and end of the law, psalms, and prophets. By His blood we are Redeemed, washed from sin, justified, and made kings and priests unto God [Rev 1:5-6; 1 pet 2:9].
  2. God’s Three-Fold Blessing – God blesses the house of Israel, the house of Aaron, and all who fear the Lord, both small and great [PS 115:9-13]. He is no respecter of persons [acts 10:34-35].
  3. Oneness In Christ – In Christ Jesus there is neither Jew nor gentile, male nor female [Gal 3:28]. we are one new man, one royal priesthood, one Holy nation with God’s laws in the heart [Rom 2:28-29; Jer 31:33]. 
  4. Nature Of Blessedness – God’s blessedness is empowerment. It has no sorrow, no conditionality, but enriches, empowers, and enthrones us to prosper and reign in life [Prov 10:22; rev 5:10]. 
  5. Fulfilment Over Success – God’s intent is fulfilment of his purpose and cause, not glamour success. Priesthood servants must give spiritual direction to all without prejudice, sentiment, or dissimulation [Rom 8:28; Eph 1:11-12]. 

CALL TO ACTION — INCLUSIVE FOR ALL: 

  1. Trust God – O nation, O priesthood, you that fear the lord — trust in him as your help and shield [PS 115:9-11]. 
  2. Receive Redemption – Believe in Christ Jesus and His shed blood. Accept that you are redeemed, justified, and empowered by grace. 
  3. Live godly – Walk in the grace of His blessedness. Let his word guide your heart and conduct daily. 
  4. Reign and serve – Walk as kings and priests. Show forth His praises and give spiritual direction to all people without bias. 
  5. Bless the Lord – From this time forth and forevermore, bless the Lord who made heaven and earth [PS 115:18].

THE CHOICE OF BEING FULFILLED IN CHRIST: TO BEING FULFILLED IN LIFE AND GODLINESS – VERSUS – BEING SUCCESSFUL! 

“And say to Archippus, TAKE HEED to the MINISTRY which thou hast RECEIVED in the Lord, that thou FULFIL it” Colossians 4:17. 

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not DISOBEDIENT unto the HEAVENLY VISION” Acts 26:19. 

Obedience to the heavenly mandate have a lot to do with FULFILMENT in Life and godliness in Christ Jesus. And the choice of being FULFILLED in life and godliness (godly living) is one great factor worth considering in the race of being SUCCESSFUL. 

Can you afford to move from a place in pursuit of GLAMOUR SUCCESS TO A DESERT PLACE IN LIFE? Yet such could be a place of FULFILLMENT indeed. It’s about following God’s approved PLAN, PURPOSE and PURSUIT for your life and possible ministry rather than just having a mere SUCCESS for men to applaud. 

A person in pursuit of MERE SUCCESS inclination will find it extremely difficult to leave a GLAMOUR place (position) to attend to a single-person ministry, especially to one in a DESERT (remote) place, as accomplished by Philip the Evangelist (Acts 21:8) as instructed by the Lord God. And such obedience to DIVINE order and instructions is only possible for a person of and for FULFILMENT; that is a follower of God’s plan, purpose and pursuit – the one who truly believes in WHOLENESS and will go WHEREVER the Lord LEADS, as Philip did in Acts 8 – “OBEYING THE HEAVENLY MANDATE”. 

WHAT IS YOUR WORTH IN GOD’S BLESSEDNESS IN CHRIST JESUS? or How do you MEASURE your WORTH in life and godly living in Christ Jesus? Is it by material achievement called SUCCESS, or by being ACCOMPLISHED in God’s given vision and mission called FULFILMENT in His assignment. 

Are you just a mere crazy SUCCESS driven inclination person, or a person of FULFILMENT in the heavenly assignment? Note for sure that SUCCESS is good and it’s of God (Joshua 1:8). Unlike success, FULFILMENT is not just of God, but it’s a place of being readily, willingly and obediently set to accomplish the wholeness, completeness and fulfilling of the Lord’s – PLANS, PURPOSES and PURSUITS – in LIFE and GODLY living. Doing this unhindered and uncompromised with anything outside God’s intent, as Apostle Paul did in obedience (Philippians 3:1-16), and as he exhorted, admonished and charged Archippus to likewise do also as written in the Holy Writ of Colossians 4:17 and Acts 26:19.  

It’s about living a God DRIVEN PURPOSE LIFE, that brings about MEANINGFUL FULFILLMENT in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus, which is far beyond – just being SUCCESSFUL. 

FULFILMENT is in CONTINUOUS OBEDIENCE to God’s APPROVED plan, purpose and pursuit. And OBEDIENCE to the heavenly mandate is far better than SACRIFICE – Isaiah 1:19; 1 Samuel 15:23.

“For REBELLION is as the SIN of WITCHCRAFT, and STUBBORNNESS is as INIQUITY and IDOLATRY. Because thou hast rejected THE WORD of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king” 1 Samuel 15:23.

SUMMARY: 

The message is a Kingdom charge that asks us to choose FULFILMENT in CHRIST or SUCCESS the world chases. God wants us EARTHLY USEFUL and HEAVENLY MINDED. The key is OBEYING GOD’S CALL — like Jesus, Paul, Philip, and Archippus did. 

  1. THE BIG POINT: FULFILMENT IS BETTER THAN SUCCESS 
    FULFILMENT vs SUCCESS: FULFILMENT means being COMPLETE and WHOLE in LIFE and GODLINESS through Christ. SUCCESS means big achievements, money, titles that men clap for. 
    WHAT ARE YOU WORTH TO GOD? God does not measure you by cars, houses, or titles. He measures you by how well you FINISH the WORK and PURPOSE He gave you [Col 4:17; Acts 26:19]. 
    BOTH ARE FROM GOD, BUT FULFILMENT GOES DEEPER: SUCCESS is GOOD and FROM GOD [Joshua 1:8]. But FULFILMENT is when you are READY, WILLING, and OBEDIENT to do ALL of God’s PLAN for your LIFE without cutting corners [Phil 3:1-16]. 
  1. GOD’S COMMAND: OBEY HIS CALL
    BIBLE COMMAND: “TAKE HEED to the MINISTRY you RECEIVED, and FULFIL IT” [Col 4:17]. Paul said, “I was NOT DISOBEDIENT to the HEAVENLY VISION” [Acts 26:19]. 
    WHAT IT MEANS: FULFILMENT comes from DAILY OBEDIENCE to God’s PLAN, PURPOSE and PURSUIT. 
    WHY OBEDIENCE MATTERS: God said OBEDIENCE is BETTER than SACRIFICE [1 Sam 15:23; Isa 1:19]. REBELLION is as bad as WITCHCRAFT [1 Sam 15:23]. 
  1. THE SURPRISING TRUTH:FROM BIG PLACE TO DESERT PLACE
    GOD’S STRANGE WAY: “CAN YOU LEAVE A PLACE OF GLAMOUR SUCCESS FOR A DESERT PLACE IN LIFE? YET THAT DESERT PLACE CAN BE YOUR PLACE OF FULFILMENT.” What looks like loss to men can be God’s best for you. 
    PHILIP’S STORY [Acts 8:1-40; Acts 21:8]: Philip was in SAMARIA with “GREAT JOY” — miracles, healings, crowds. But God said, “Go to the DESERT, Gaza Road”. He left the crowd to preach to ONE MAN, the Ethiopian eunuch. That is FULFILMENT. 
    WHO CAN DO THIS? Only a person who LOVES WHOLENESS and is ready to GO WHEREVER THE LORD LEADS — “OBEYING THE HEAVENLY MANDATE”. A SUCCESS-chaser will find it HARD to leave BIG POSITION for ONE PERSON in a VILLAGE. 
  1. PEOPLE WHO LIVED IT
    JESUS: “A MAN APPROVED OF GOD” by signs and wonders [Acts 2:22]. His whole life was doing the Father’s PURPOSE. 
    APOSTLE PAUL: He lived 100% for God’s PLAN without compromise [Phil 3:1-16]. 
    ARCHIPPUS: Paul told him, “FULFIL the ministry God gave you” [Col 4:17]. 
  1. GOD’S PROMISE AND GOD’S WARNING
    GOD’S PROMISE: “If you are WILLING and OBEDIENT, you will EAT THE GOOD OF THE LAND” [Isa 1:19]. “If you OBEY and SERVE Him, your DAYS will be PROSPEROUS” [Job 36:11-12]. “Then you will have GOOD SUCCESS” [Joshua 1:8]. 
    GOD’S WARNING: REBELLION and STUBBORNNESS are like IDOLATRY. If you DISOBEY, God will REJECT you [1 Sam 15:23]. 
  1. FINAL QUESTION FOR YOU
    THE CHOICE: “ARE YOU A CRAZY SUCCESS CHASER, OR A PERSON OF FULFILMENT IN GOD’S ASSIGNMENT?” 
    THE LIFE GOD WANTS: A GOD-DRIVEN LIFE that gives MEANINGFUL FULFILMENT in GOD’S BLESSEDNESS — far better than just being SUCCESSFUL. 
    PAUSE AND THINK — SELAH: The message ends with Bible verses to help you check yourself and return to OBEDIENCE. 

ONE SENTENCE CONCLUSION: 
Choose FULFILMENT over SUCCESS. FULFILMENT is OBEYING GOD’S PLAN even if it takes you from GLAMOUR to DESERT. That is where your TRUE WORTH and BLESSEDNESS in Christ is found. SUCCESS without FULFILMENT is empty. FULFILMENT is always complete.

OCCUPY TILL I COME: EARTHLY USEFULNESS AND HEAVENLY MINDEDNESS – BY LIVING AND WALKING IN LOVE! 

“If we LIVE in the Spirit, let us also WALK in the Spirit” Galatians 5:25. 

“Be ye therefore FOLLOWERS of God, as dear children; 2 and WALK IN LOVE, as Christ also hath LOVED us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour” Ephesians 5:1-2. 

Talking about LOVE! Here is a didactic sense of MEASURE, such that we don’t just say we have love, but we do LIVE and WALK in LOVE, knowing that love is of God; and it’s the lubricant for our life in Christ Jesus and for all mankind. Upon this we can OCCUPY IN CHRIST by ‘Being Earthly Useful while Heavenly Minded’. 

Love is an attitude, a deliberate choice, an exercise of the will, a choice of life and is not just a feeling. It is an expression of the nature of God. It is spiritual, divinely inspired and imbedded in the very hearts of all God’s human creation, and more importantly in the very nature of the redeemed child of God. Hence it’s not a doctrine, creed, or dogmas. It outlives generations because it’s timeless and of God. God is love – 1 John 4:7–10. 

Love is a FRUIT and not a GIFT. FRUITS are GROWN while GIFTS are IMPARTED. Genuine Bible love – Agape – is born and is a product of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 5:5; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:9). 

Let’s consider love in diversity for a clearer understanding of the kind of love being implied in this context. 

DEFINING THE THREE KINDS OF LOVE: 

  1.  PHILEO: Grk (of the soul) – Love relationship in family – between parent and children The Family kind of love. It also embodies love relationship towards friends and colleagues. It means to be fond of; it is based on FEELINGS and not on PRINCIPLE. It’s never used of man’s love to or for God. This is human or natural kind of love. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Genesis 8:19; Ephesians 6:4; Colossians 3:21). This kind of love is, however, essential and crucial for family bonding and wellbeing.
  2. EROS: Grk (of the Physical body) – Sexual love; purely reserved for the married – within the bond of marriage. It’s based on PHYSICAL ATTRACTION. It’s neither for fornication nor adultery. Lust and immoral desires have gotten some into it, hence there’s a great act of PERVERSION in our societies today – and we are paying hugely for the consequences across the board. (Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 7:1-9; 1 Corinthians 6:15-20).
  3. AGAPE: Grk (of the spirit) – God kind of love; unconditional, limitless, divine, spiritual. It transcends race, gender, generation, culture, family, physical, personal (self) etc. 1 Corinthians 13. It’s built on PRINCIPLE. Agape love even helps to ensure, STRENGTHEN and MAINTAIN the Phileo and Eros kind of love in all life endeavours. Agape love is based on PRINCIPLE – be it towards things or people. 

Notably, the PHILEO OR EROS kinds of Love need to be controlled by the AGAPE kind of love, or else they will hinder our fellowship with God and lead to SIN acts. (E.g. EROS – 1 Corinthians 13:5; PHILEO – 1 Samuel 2:22-36). 

Let’s not just say we have love, let’s LIVE and WALK IN LOVE, for love is of the Spirit – Romans 5:5. 

IT IS TIME TO LIVE AND WALK IN LOVE. LET US MAKE IT HAPPEN.

SUMMARY: 

The message is a doctrinal charge titled “OCCUPY TILL I COME: EARTHLY USEFULNESS AND HEAVENLY MINDEDNESS — BY LIVING AND WALKING IN LOVE!”. It addresses the TRIUMPHANT CHURCH with a mandate for the waiting period before Christ’s return: believers must remain productive and relevant on earth while maintaining a mind fixed on heaven. The operational principle for fulfilling both mandates is LIVING and WALKING IN LOVE, anchored in Galatians 5:25 and Ephesians 5:1-2. 

Core Thesis: 
Love is presented not as emotion or religious doctrine, but as a MEASURE, ATTITUDE, DELIBERATE CHOICE, and EXERCISE of the WILL. It is the NATURE of God [1 John 4:8], SPIRITUAL and DIVINELY INSPIRED, imbedded in all humanity but fully expressed in the redeemed. Love is classified as a FRUIT of the Holy Spirit [Gal 5:22-23; Rom 5:5] that must be GROWN, not a GIFT that is merely IMPARTED. It functions as the “lubricant” that enables effective life in Christ and service to mankind. 

 Three Kinds of Love: 

  1. PHILEO [of the soul] – Natural, affection-based love for family, friends, and colleagues. Based on FEELINGS, not PRINCIPLE. Essential for FAMILY BONDING and WELLBEING, but incapable of reaching God [Deut 6:4-9; Eph 6:4]. 
  2. EROS [of the physical body] – Sexual love ordained solely for marriage [Heb 13:4; 1 Cor 7:1-9]. Based on PHYSICAL ATTRACTION. When perverted by lust, it produces fornication, adultery, and societal PERVERSION [1 Cor 6:15-20]. 
  3. AGAPE [of the spirit] – The GOD-KIND of love. Unconditional, limitless, principle-based, and transcendent of race, culture, and self [1 Cor 13]. This is the only love that can govern, STRENGTHEN, and MAINTAIN Phileo and Eros within divine order. 

Warning & Application: 
Without AGAPE as governor, PHILEO and EROS become unchecked, hinder FELLOWSHIP with God, and lead to SIN ACTS [1 Sam 2:22-36; 1 Cor 13:5]. Therefore, believers are charged to move beyond confession to practical obedience: “Let us not just say we have love, let us LIVE and WALK IN LOVE” [Rom 5:5]. The concluding imperative is “IT IS TIME TO LIVE AND WALK IN LOVE. LET US MAKE IT HAPPEN. SELAH”, followed by an invitation to be ROOTED and GROUNDED IN LOVE in order to COMPREHEND the fullness of Christ and be FILLED with all the FULNESS of God [Eph 3:17-19]. 

Central Conclusion: 
Earthly usefulness and heavenly mindedness are only possible through AGAPE LOVE — the Spirit-produced, principle-based love that governs all human relationships and aligns the Church with Christ’s mandate to OCCUPY until He comes.

BEING TRIUMPHANT OVER THE FIVE SENSES

BEING TRIUMPHANT OVER THE FIVE SENSES: THE EFFECT OF THE FLESH – THE LUST OF THE FLESH, THE LUST OF THE EYES AND THE PRIDE OF LIFE! 

“But thanks be to God, who ALWAYS leads us in TRIUMPH in Christ, and through us SPREADS and MAKES evident EVERYWHERE the SWEET FRAGRANCE of the knowledge of Him” 2 Corinthians 2 14/Amplified. 

“When He had DISARMED the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He MADE a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His TRIUMPHAL procession], having TRIUMPHED over them through the cross” Colossians 2:15/Amplified.  

I want you to know for certain, and be assured to ensure, that YOU ARE A TRIUMPHANT CHURCH. I mean you ARE the Church in TRIUMPH, and not the architectural building where the ingathering to worship our God worthily and to serve Him acceptably is centred. And knowingly or unknowingly, TRIUMPH is a default DONE DEED for every believing child of God in Christ Jesus through REDEMPTION [2 Corinthians 2:14; Colossians 2:15]. And the Scripture wants every Believer in Christ Jesus to LIVE and WALK in the CONSCIOUSNESS of the SPIRIT of TRIUMPH, so that they can mortify [crucify] – put to death – the LUSTS and AFFECTIONS of the FLESH which are of the – FIVE SENSES [Galatians 5:16, 24-25]. 

“This I say then, WALK in the Spirit, and ye shall not FULFIL the LUST of the FLESH . . . 24 And they that ARE Christ’s have CRUCIFIED the FLESH with the AFFECTIONS and LUSTS. 25 If we LIVE in the Spirit, let us also WALK in the Spirit” Galatians 5:16, 24-25. 

It thus means TRIUMPH is by living in the sphere where the Holy Spirit LEADS – the Holy Spirit Inspired life, and by the WORD of God, through your human spirit-being by the auction of grace that’s within you [Proverbs 20:27; Job 32:8; Job 33:4; Genesis 2:7; 1 John 2:20, 27]. This is what makes you a spirit or spiritual being that is SPIRIT-RULED and not BODILY-RULED or FLESHLY-RULED. A sphere to make you live TRIUMPHANTLY, far above just being a human being by the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus that’s within you – [Romans 8:1-17]. For you are created as a BEING, not to BEEN. Indicating there’s no place of vacuum to God or with God in the Kingdom to exercise your place as a BEING of God. 

And FAITH in God is the mystery of COMMUNICATION with God as a BEING, in order to enhance one to exercise the sphere of a BEING [1 Timothy 3:9; Romans 12:4], and FAITH is the resultant and consequence of the HEARING, the HEARING of the WORD of God [Romans 10:17]. 

So, there’s the need to FELLOWSHIP, in order to enhance the RELATIONSHIP with God [1 Corinthians 1:9], because there’s no sphere or place for a VACUUM. Thus, it indicates that one can’t commune with God outside His WORD for any reason, otherwise there will be satanic interference [Matthew 12:43-45]. And to commune with God is about LIVING and WALKING in the Spirit – which is by your spirit and in the truth – the WORD of God [John 4:19-24]. 

The consequential of living outside the sphere of the Spirit-led is LIVING and WALKING in the FLESH – that is, in the sphere of FIVE SENSES, which are these: 

  •  HEAR/Hearing 
  •  SEE/Seeing 
  •  TASTE/Tasting 
  •  SMELL/Smelling 
  •  FEEL/Feeling [Touch/Touching]  

Sadly enough – there is EFFECT, and there are EFFECTS – of living in the SPHERE of the FLESH – FIVE SENSE. These FIVE SENSES EFFECTS that resulted in the fall of the first creation man [Adam] and was defeated by the second Adam [Christ Jesus] to give us assurance of hope and triumph when we are living and walking by the WORD in the Spirit are these [Genesis 3:1-6; Luke 4:1-13; 1 John 2:15-17]: 

  •  The LUST of the EYES 
  •  The LUST of the FLESH 
  •  The PRIDE of LIFE 

These EFFECTS were seen at the beginning with Adam and Adam in EDEN, where they fell from FAITH and FELLOWSHIP with God [Genesis 3]. These EFFECTS showed up again with Jesus during His Holy Spirit-led fasting at the TEMPTATION mountain [Luke 4:1-13; Matthew 4:1-11]. Sadly today, these EFFECTS are still at work and hover about, looking for who will fall to its sword [1 John 2:15-17]. The matter therefore is this – will you let it take root in you as many have fallen victims over and over again? I hope not. 

Unlike Eve and Adam, Jesus TRIUMPHED over these five senses and their EFFECTS by the simple affirmative statement of His firm FAITH in the WORD – “IT IS WRITTEN” – Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13 [1 John 5:4-5; Colossians 2:15; Philemon 1:6]. Thus it means: No WORD, No FAITH, and No enacting of the TRIUMPH in the grace [2 Corinthians 2:14; Colossians 2:15]. Otherwise, it will be Magic, Sorcerer, Traditional dogmas, Man-made make-believes, creeds and such like. 

Therefore, as the TRIUMPHANT CHURCH in Christ Jesus stead, let us ARISE and be TRIUMPHANT for we ARE. And by LIVING and WALKING in the Spirit, we will not fulfil the DEEDS and desired EFFECTS of the Flesh [fleshy-ruled, bodily-ruled]. 

BE BLESSED IN the grace as you live and walk in triumph in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

The BLESSEDNESS of God is about EMPOWERING in His will . . . DARE TO LIVE BY POWER AND GRACE: RECEIVE POWER TO FUNCTION AND GRACE TO BECOME! 

“And with GREAT POWER gave the apostles WITNESS of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and GREAT GRACE was upon them all” Acts 4:33. 

  •  WHAT’S GOD’S POWER – The enabling of God to FUNCTION and MANIFEST (REVEAL, EXPRESS, PERFORM) of God in Christ Jesus, in LIFE and GODLINESS. 
  •  WHAT’S GOD’S GRACE – The enabling of God to BECOME what you believe of God by Faith in Christ Jesus, in LIFE and GODLINESS. 

I want you to know, full well, that God’s POWER in context is not a magical or curious acts. Neither is it mystical, occultic, nor sorcery and demonic divination, or witchcraft as we see in many places in the name of ‘’signs and wonders and miracles’’ in quotes.  

Rather, I am sharing here about the enabling of God that makes and positions one with daring spirit in life, to function by God’s Spirit and might beyond one’s ability – that’s God empowering one’s ability, inability, and weakness in order to fulfil His PURPOSE, in LIFE and GODLINESS [Acts 1:8; Zechariah 4:6/Ephesians 6:10, 19; Romans 8:28-30; 2 Peter 1:3-4]. 

It’s time to know again that your ABILITIES are IRRELEVANT to God’s ABILITY. And God only needs your AVAILABILITY and not your ABILITY if you must FUNCTION in His stead and BECOME in His Stead.  

Thus, indicating that whatever ability that was and is there in one’s life needs to be subjected to God’s ability, along with the inability, to ensure that God’s ability becomes one’s ability in the grace [1 Corinthians 9:27]. For God is not only the God of the impossible [Matthew 19:26! Mark 10:27], He’s also of the possible. That is the exact picture God gave to Apostle Paul for him to genuinely carry His inspiration, revelation, and empowerment to write more than one quarters of the New Testament Epistles. 

For Apostle Paul to attain to the excellency of God in Christ Jesus, he then considered/counted his human ABILITY as dung in order to FUNCTION by God’s POWER and BECOME by His GRACE. And he being a learned Lawyer who studied under Sanhedrin – and was circumcised the eighth day – and of the stock of Israel – and of the tribe of Benjamin – and an Hebrew of the Hebrews – and as touching the law, a Pharisee – and concerning zeal, persecuting the church – and touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless, yet he submitted to God’s own enabling POWER and GRACE, as he said of himself in the holy writ. 

“Though I might also have confidence in the flesh (ABILITY). If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh (ABILITY), I more: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; 6 concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. 7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, AND DO COUNT THEM but DUNG, that I may win Christ, 9 and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith” Philippians 3:4-8/Emphasis Mine. 

To authenticate the essence of God’s POWER and GRACE, each time Apostle Paul tried to use his ABILITY to do God’s Kingdom Business, he was denied over and over again. All he heard from God was – “My GRACE is sufficient to make you BE – BECOME, while My POWER is made perfect in your weakness to make you FUNCTION for me. 

“Each time he said, “My GRACE is all you need. My POWER works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the POWER of Christ can work through me” 2 Corinthians 12:9/Emphasis Mine. 

“Each time he said, “No. But I am with you; that is all you need. My POWER shows up best in WEAK people.” Now I am glad to boast about how weak I am; I am glad to be a living demonstration of Christ’s POWER, instead of showing off my own POWER and abilities” 2 Corinthians 12:9/Living Bible. 

Therefore, if you want God’s POWER to FUNCTION and GRACE to BECOME, you need to make yourself AVAILABLE – for your ABILITY must be on a zero reading on God’s chart.

    Paul had top credentials — trained under Gamaliel, Pharisee, blameless in the law — yet he counted all of it as loss and dung to gain Christ [Philippians 3:4-8]. That decision allowed him to function by God’s power and become by His grace. 
  3. How God Works Through Weakness 
    Whenever Paul tried using his own ability, he was limited. God told him: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” [2 Corinthians 12:9]. So, Paul learned to boast in weakness because that’s where Christ’s power shows up most. 
    What It Means for Us Today 
    To experience God’s power to function and His grace to become, we must stay available and stop relying on self-effort. The message puts it plainly: your ability must read zero on God’s chart so He can work through you.

GOD IS ABLE: Only BELIEVE And PARTNER With Him As His Ambassador And Embassy! 

God wants to, and He will make the impossible become possible for you by the grace in Christ Jesus stead.  

Do you Agree to the possibility of God in you, for you, and through you? Matthew 19:26 [Mark 9:23; Mark 10:27]. 

Do you know you are His ambassador in Christ Jesus? – 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. 

Do you know that your body is His Embassy in Christ Jesus stead? 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 [2 Corinthians 6:11-18]. 

So, why not believe that God is able to make all things work together for good for you by the grace in Christ Jesus stead – [Romans 8:28]. And if you believe, then step up to – HAVE FAITH IN GOD – and ensure your being as His Embassy and Ambassador in the grace, in order to enact and authenticate into reality the assured possibility in you, for you, and through you. Amen.

    Your body is His Embassy — 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:16-18. You are God’s territory, His dwelling place. Heaven’s presence on earth. 
    You are a new creation — 2 Corinthians 5:17. Old things are passed away. This identity qualifies you to carry His “assured possibility.” 

Key point: You don’t just pray for possibility. You enact and authenticate it because you ARE the Embassy/Ambassador. 

  1. The Condition: BELIEVE + HAVE FAITH IN GOD
    Only BELIEVE — Mark 9:23: “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVETH.” Faith removes the limit. The only limit to God’s “ALL THINGS” is unbelief. Mark 6:5 
    Unbelief = doubting God’s Word, fighting the shift of assignment/position. 
    HAVE FAITH IN GOD — Mark 11:22. Without faith it is impossible to please Him — Hebrews 11:6. Faith = believing that HE IS and that He rewards those who DILIGENTLY seek Him. 
    Faith = saying YES LORD to the Embassy/Ambassador assignment even when it doesn’t look glamorous. 
    Partner with Him — The message moves from “God is able” to “Do you agree?” God’s power works in you, for you, and through you when you step up in belief. 
  1. The Promise: All Things Work Together for Good
    So why not believe that God is able to make all things work together for good for you — Romans 8:28.
    The impossible situation, the delay, the DESERT season from your last chapter — all of it is raw material for God to make good when you partner with Him as His Embassy/Ambassador. 
  1. The Charge/Action
    Do you agree to the possibility of God in you, for you, and through you? 
    Step up to HAVE FAITH IN GOD. 
    Ensure your being as His Embassy and Ambassador in grace.
    Enact and authenticate the assured possibility into reality. 

SELAH — Pause and think. The message ends with Scripture for meditation, driving home that faith is the bridge between God’s ability and your reality. 

In one line: God’s ability to turn impossible to possible is not in question — the question is whether you will BELIEVE, embrace your identity as His Ambassador/Embassy, and partner with Him in faith so His grace can make all things work together for good through you. 

Bottom line: God’s ability is constant. Your faith is the variable. When you believe, you partner with Him as His Ambassador/Embassy, and what men call impossible becomes God’s testimony through you.

From The CITY CHURCH To The DESERT CHURCH: THE HEAVENLY MANDATE – THAT’S ONLY POSSIBLE BY HUMILITY! 

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I WAS NOT DISOBEDIENT UNTO THE HEAVENLY VISION: 20 but shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judæa, and then to the Gentiles, that they should REPENT and TURN to God, and do WORKS meet for REPENTANCE” Acts 26:19-20 

The CITY CHURCHES and DESERT CHURCHES are not numbers, but people of God’s CREATION that are WORTH every resource of the heavenly. Sometimes, in the CAUSE of OBEDIENCE to the heavenly mandate, our absolute dedication and commitment to excellence in the Kingdom service are pruned to justify our ESSENCE – motives, in the service of God and to increase productivity in God’s terms [John 15:1-16]. And your ability to RESPOND and not to REACT in God’s terms and perspective thus indicates the assurance and faithfulness one has without prejudice, sentiment, or dissimulation (hypocrisy) TOWARD God’s mandate upon one, in doing LIFE and GODLY LIVING in His grace. And God’s terms could be in ratios, for example 1:1000 or 1000:1, meaning it’s not by human calculation, even as it said in this scripture: 

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that ONE day is with the Lord as a THOUSAND years, and a THOUSAND years as ONE day” 2 Peter 3:8. 

There are many people today who, when they are relocated from their CITY CHURCH placement of glamour and multitudes to a more modest DESERT CHURCH of no glamour and few multitudes, will swiftly resign from the services. They may either kick-start their own ministry as a sign of rebellion and not of necessity, or REACT by complaining, murmuring, and contending throughout their time away from their CITY CHURCH glamour and multitudes per excellence, while at the DESERT CHURCH placement – if they eventually make a move – as in this holy writ: 

“Some indeed PREACH Christ even of ENVY and STRIFE; and some also of GOOD WILL: 16 the one PREACH Christ of CONTENTION, not SINCERELY, supposing to ADD AFFLICTION to my bonds: 17 but the other of LOVE, knowing that I am set for the DEFENCE of the gospel. 18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in PRETENCE, or in TRUTH, Christ is PREACHED; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice” Philippians 1:15-18. 

You see this same scenario above also in MATTERS of life when there is a shift in life rankings, positions and placements to a very different place outside our comfort zone of glamour and excellence. Some go through such moments cursing and attributing it to witch-hunts and all manner of assertions. Others begin legislative sessions to gang up and stage a scene in order to win support and authenticate their spirituality to the placement. And they ensure they stay in a particular spot all through life without craving to be innovative or creative – which, in essence, would have helped them initiate and explore beyond walls, and become more mature and humbled. 

God is the only One who determines times and seasons by His own counsel- Acts 17:24-31. And He is not subject to any human factors of any sort, nor does He consult any opinion to ascertain what is good for His purpose and will in any man – Romans 8:28-30; Ephesians 1:11. And in God’s intent to process and prune us so that we become more effectual, productive, and result oriented, His CHANGE in us on His terms is a NECESSITY so that we can be meaningful and able to fulfill His PURPOSE and ESSENCE in us – 1 Corinthians 9:15-17; He may sometimes, and most times, shift our place for His Kingdom advancement and to keep the ENEMY and his COHORTS at bay as He prunes us into bearing much more fruit from a place of no fruit-bearing on His terms – John 15:1-16. If you don’t know and understand what it means to be obedient in the heavenly mandate, you will be fighting and wrestling with God and with men, thinking someone else is undoubtedly undoing you in order to bring you down and rob you of who you’ve claimed you are called of God to be in Him.  

However, if you want to eat the good of the Kingdom, you must humble yourself in OBEYING THE HEAVENLY MANDATE shift as Evangelist Philip did with God, irrespective of his placement in a glamour CITY CHURCH. He, in OBEDIENCE to God’s PURPOSE and CAUSES, RESPONDED instead of REACTING to the ministerial shift, from a glamour and joyful SAMARIA CITY CHURCH to a lone one member Ethiopian man DESERT CHURCH. Acts 8:1-40. Only eternity can and would be able to explain in full details, the implications of that mission to the DESERT CHURCH from the CITY CHURCH. Can you do that TODAY? Can you respond and say – YES LORD, to that next shift in your life and or Ministry? Can you afford to change job or allowed to be transferred to a less glamour place to work and do life? Have you ever question while God has PLACED you in certain places that naturally you would not have wish or want to be? Have you come to terms with your life with God, that wherever He leads, you are willing to be OBEDIENT and to say – YES LORD, and follow? These and such like you need to THINK wisely about, before you can WORTH the saying of YES to: “OBEYING THE HEAVENLY MANDATE” as Evangelist Philip of Acts 8:1-40. 

God is raising an ARMY today that will take the GOSPEL beyond walls of denomination and land. He’s not just raising people only into the MINISTERIAL calls but into SECULAR and CIVIC duties. And it may not likely be in the place of your CHOICE sometimes. And God’s intent and essence is that through your profession you can TAKE the Gospel to the reach of all – from the CITY to the DESERT. You are that CHURCH that God is building and raising. It’s not the denomination or cathedral architectural building as some may purport. The DESERT CHURCH is that Local and Community assembly near you, that VILLAGE and DEPRAVED PLACE where your presence is a goldmine and precious stones, a missionary to the people there. You don’t have to be only in Ministerial outfits to OBEY the heavenly mandate. Your skill and talent are an absolute opportunity, and your AVAILABILITY is all that God needs so that He can lavishly pour His ABILITY in you and through you to make the difference and to make all things   good in every respect. It’s all about becoming the MISSIONARY to meet the MISSION need in your time – either by direct ministerial calling of God or through your professional skills and trade – that is, if you can envision as Apostle Paul foresaw in the Apostolic days, being fully committed and dedicated to advance the cause of God’s Kingdom and to keep the enemy at bay – Acts 16:8-10 

“And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. 9 And a VISION appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, COME OVER into Macedonia, and HELP US. 10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to PREACH THE GOSPEL unto them” 

I pray that you take time to examine your life very closely in order to ensure you know and understand God’s intent for you in LIFE and GODLY LIVING in His grace and BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus stead. Amen; this is very important, and it’s graciousnesss and gracefulness for your wellbeing is beyond description. This knowing and understanding is good for you in context and essence, before you start legislating spirituality in ignorance through some unwarranted and uninformed PRAYER acts as many have done and live unfulfilled.  

SELAH – PAUSE AND THINK 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I WAS NOT DISOBEDIENT UNTO THE HEAVENLY VISION: 20 but shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judæa, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance” Acts 26:19-20. 

“If they OBEY and SERVE him, they shall SPEND their DAYS in PROSPERITY, and their YEARS in PLEASURES. 12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge” Job 36:11-12. 

“If ye be WILLING and OBEDIENT, ye shall EAT the GOOD of the land” Isaiah 1:19. 

“You will SHOW me the PATH OF LIFE; In Your PRESENCE is FULLNESS of joy; In Your RIGHT HAND (RIGHTEOUSNESS) there are PLEASURES forevermore” Psalms 16:11 (Emphasis Mine). 

“HUMBLE yourselves in the SIGHT of the Lord, and he shall LIFT you up” James 4:10.

“By HUMILITY and the FEAR (REVERENTIAL FEAR) of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life” Proverbs 22:4 (Emphasis Mine). 

“He that REFUSETH instruction DESPISETH his own soul: but he that HEARETH reproof GETTETH understanding. 33 The FEAR (REVERENTIAL FEAR) of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before HONOUR is HUMILITY” Proverbs 15:32-33 (Emphasis Mine). 

“. . .5 Then PHILIP went down to the CITY OF SAMARIA, and PREACHED CHRIST unto them. 6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. 8 AND THERE WAS GREAT JOY IN THAT CITY . . . 26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and GO TOWARD THE SOUTH unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is DESERT. 27 And he arose and went: and, behold, A MAN OF ETHIOPIA, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, AND HAD COME TO JERUSALEM FOR TO WORSHIP . . .” Acts 8:1-40. 

“They that DWELL in the WILDERNESS shall BOW before him; and his ENEMIES shall lick the dust” Psalms 72:9. 

“But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void. 16 For though I PREACH THE GOSPEL, I have nothing to glory of: for NECESSITY IS LAID UPON ME; YEA, WOE IS UNTO ME, IF I PREACH NOT THE GOSPEL! 17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a DISPENSATION of the GOSPEL is COMMITTED unto me” 1 Corinthians 9:15-17. 

SUMMARY: 

This message is a prophetic charge plus teaching on obedience to God’s placement and purpose. The core argument: God’s mandate is fulfilled through humility, not position, glamour, or human calculation.

    – God’s math is not human math — 2 Peter 3:8. A Day is as 1000 years and 1000 years as a day. Placement shifts may look like 1:1000 or 1000:1, but His terms are perfect. 
  1. The Test: CITY CHURCH vs DESERT CHURCH
    The message contrasts 2 responses when God shifts you: 
    – REACT = Rebellion, murmuring, complaining, kicking up your own ministry, legislating spirituality through uninformed PRAYER acts. Some PREACH from ENVY, STRIFE, CONTENTION — Philippians 1:15-18. This comes from ignorance of the heavenly mandate. 
    – RESPOND = Humble obedience like Evangelist Philip. He left the glamour + GREAT JOY of SAMARIA CITY CHURCH to obey God’s shift to a DESERT road to reach one Ethiopian man — Acts 8:1-40. Only eternity can explain the impact of that one-man mission. 

Warning: If you don’t understand obedience, you’ll fight God and men, thinking someone is undoing you and robbing your calling. 

  1. God is Raising a New Kind of ARMY
    God is not just raising MINISTERIAL calls. He’s raising people into SECULAR and CIVIC duties. Your skill, talent, and AVAILABILITY are your mission field. You ARE the CHURCH God is building — not a denomination or cathedral.
    The DESERT CHURCH is the local, community, VILLAGE, DEPRAVED PLACE near you where your presence is a goldmine. You don’t need ministerial outfits to OBEY. Through your profession you TAKE the Gospel to all. Be the MISSIONARY for your time like Apostle Paul who said “YES LORD” to Macedonia — Acts 16:8-10. 
  1. The Call to Self-Examination plus Humility 
    – Examine your life closely to know God’s intent for you in LIFE and GODLY LIVING in His grace and BLESSEDNESS — “Christ Jesus indeed”.
    – Humble yourself under God’s mighty hand — James 4:10; 1 Peter 5:5-7. God RESISTETH the proud but GIVETH grace to the HUMBLE. Before HONOUR is HUMILITY — Proverbs 15:33.
    – Obedience = Prosperity — Job 36:11-12; Isaiah 1:19. “If ye be WILLING and OBEDIENT, ye shall EAT the GOOD of the land.” God will SHOW you the PATH OF LIFE — Psalms 16:11. 
  1. Final Charge/Questions to the Reader

The message ends with piercing questions: 
Can you say YES LORD to the next shift? Can you change jobs or accept transfers to a less glamour place? Have you questioned why God PLACED you where you are? Are you willing to be OBEDIENT wherever He leads?
Like Apostle Paul: “NECESSITY IS LAID UPON ME; YEA, WOE IS UNTO ME, IF I PREACH NOT THE GOSPEL!” — 1 Corinthians 9:15-17. 

In one line: God is calling His people to drop the craving for CITY glamour/multitudes, embrace humility, and OBEY the HEAVENLY MANDATE — whether in a CITY CHURCH or DESERT CHURCH, in pulpit or profession — because your obedience, not your position, determines Kingdom fruit.
