HAVING GOOD NEWS IS GOOD – AND WITH WAGONS OF GOODIES IT’S FAR BETTER AND BEST

June 9, 2026 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

HAVING GOOD NEWS IS GOOD – AND WITH WAGONS OF GOODIES IT IS FAR BETTER AND BEST: IT REVIVES THE FAINTING HEARTS – IT ENHANCES THE KINGDOM LIFE AND CAUSES THE GRACE!

“A HAPPY heart is good MEDICINE and a JOYFUL mind causes HEALING, But a BROKEN spirit DRIES up [DEPRESSED] the BONES [BEING]” Proverbs 17:22/Amplified/Emphasis Mine.

It is good to have a job and/or business, but better if the accompanying wages or returns can keep your spirit being – the temple of the Holy Spirit – alive, active and far above the waters, to enable you to meet your day to day living matters and extend to the helpless without further worries.

Being BLESSED – that is, being empowered to succeed in God’s POWER and GRACE – is the ability to have beyond enough and to reach to somebody else. For prosperity that withholds is poverty in disguise. Until you can have and give without complain and murmuring, you are still poverty stricken in disguise. And God’s intent is to see us prosper in His grace as our spirit and soul prosper alike, to sustain and maintain the abundance of outpourings and still be in the faith.

“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may SUCCEED and PROSPER and be in GOOD HEALTH [PHYSICALLY], just as [I know] your SOUL PROSPERS [SPIRITUALLY]” 3 John 1:2/Amplified [Psalms 37:25; 2 Peter 1:2-4; 1 Timothy 6:17-19].

“Blessed and worthy of praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has BLESSED us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ” Ephesians 1:3/Amplified.

“Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who Favor my vindication and want what is right for me; Let them say continually, “Let the Lord be MAGNIFIED, who DELIGHTS and TAKES PLEASURE in the PROSPERITY of His servant” Psalms 35:27/Amplified.

There was prosperity in the first civilised world – Egypt – while others were poor and hunger stricken. Jacob the patriarch was fainting and fading with time and in dire need, in the poverty and austerity-stricken world of his time. And when he was told that Joseph, the Premier of Egypt, his son was alive, he felt good but in doubt, due to the time lapse and evidence given in the forensics of his death by his other children years before. But when he SAW the WAGONS – trail of camels with loads of goods, accompany with cash (money) – I can hear, “ooh goodness,” his DYING and FAINTING spirit was MADE alive, that is, REVIVED instantly. The power of WAGONS is indisputable in such a dire time of time.

“. . . 25 AND THEY WENT UP OUT OF EGYPT, AND CAME INTO THE LAND OF CANAAN unto Jacob their father, 26 and told him, saying, JOSEPH IS YET ALIVE, and he is GOVERNOR over all the land of Egypt. AND JACOB’S HEART FAINTED, FOR HE BELIEVED THEM NOT. 27 And they TOLD HIM ALL THE WORDS of Joseph, which he had said unto them: AND WHEN HE SAW THE WAGONS which Joseph had sent to carry him, THE SPIRIT OF JACOB THEIR FATHER REVIVED: 28 and Israel said, IT IS ENOUGH; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die” Genesis 45:1-28.

I pray for you today, that every good news that comes to you will be accompanied with LOADS of WAGONS. Wagons are good, for they come with other goods that meet needs. Wagons make all the difference in one’s life. You may not appreciate or understand it until it happens to you. To have your debt or dire needs paid, with extra relief to do and live life in such a way as to never be in debt again and dire need, is far better than just having your debt only paid and still be in need. There is a miracle for you today. Receive it and be blessed in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I pray that the Lord God El-Shaddai – the all-sufficient Father – will meet you today at the point of your need and turn your fainting heart into overflowing joy, reviving your dying spirit that you might live again and worry no more in all that pertains to life and living godly.

GOD’S BLESSEDNESS REVIVES FAINTING HEARTS – THE POWER OF WAGONS WITH GOODIES IS FAR BETTER, AND IT IS INDISPUTABLE – AND YOU CAN BANK ON GOD’S PROVISIONS AT CHALLENGING TIMES TO HELP YOU BE A BLESSING TO SOMEONE ELSE.

“The thief [devil (enemy)/cohorts] comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it in ABUNDANCE [to the FULL, till it OVERFLOWS]” John 10:10/Amplified.

It takes overflowing, super-abundant provision to help someone else who deserves the needed help without entitlement, in doing life and living godly in the grace.

Every grace in God’s BLESSEDNESS!

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“A HAPPY heart is good MEDICINE and a JOYFUL mind causes HEALING, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22 Amplified.

Further Scriptural Reading Text: Genesis 45:1-28

SUMMARY:

Central Thesis: God’s nature is El-Shaddai, the all-sufficient Father who gives abundantly. Good news is good, but “good news with wagons” — provision beyond enough — revives fainting spirits, sustains kingdom life, and empowers believers to be blessings to others. True prosperity is not accumulation, but capacity to have, give without murmuring, and remain in faith. Selfishness/withholding is poverty in disguise; God’s intent is for our spirit and soul to prosper alike so His outpourings can be sustained.

  1. Core Declaration: The Power of “Wagons”

Genesis 45:27 anchors the message: Jacob fainted at the news of Joseph, but “when he saw the wagons… the spirit of Jacob their father revived.” The message uses “wagons” as kingdom imagery for God’s timely, tangible provision with “goodies” attached. Having good news is good; with wagons it is far better and best because wagons meet needs, relieve debt, and prevent a return to dire need. Proverbs 17:22 is cited: “A happy heart is good medicine… but a broken spirit dries up the bones.” Provision revives; joy heals.

  1. Doctrine of Prosperity: Blessed to Be a Blessing

Being blessed = being empowered by God’s power and grace to have beyond enough and to reach somebody else. 3 John 1:2 is quoted: “I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospereth.” God’s intent: spirit and soul prosper alike to sustain abundance and remain in faith. Psalm 35:27: God “delights… in the prosperity of His servant.” Ephesians 1:3: He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Key correction: Prosperity that withholds is poverty in disguise. Until you can have and give without complaint and murmuring, you remain poverty-stricken. Kingdom wealth is measured by capacity to give.

  1. Work + Wages with Kingdom Purpose

It is good to have a job and/or business, but better when wages keep “your spirit — the temple of the Holy Spirit — alive, active and far above the waters.” 1 Corinthians 6:19. Provision should enable you to meet daily living matters and extend to the helpless without further worries. John 10:10: Christ came that we may have life “in abundance, to the full, till it overflows.” That overflow is for others.

  1. God’s Sufficiency in Challenging Times

God’s blessedness revives fainting hearts. The power of wagons with goodies is indisputable. You can bank on God’s provisions at challenging times to help you be a blessing to someone else. El-Shaddai — the all-sufficient Father — meets you at the point of need, turns fainting hearts to overflowing joy, and revives dying spirits so you live again and worry no more. Philippians 4:19 underlies: “my God shall supply all your need.”

  1. The Grace of Giving Without Entitlement

It takes overflowing, super-abundant provision to help someone who deserves needed help without entitlement, while living godly by grace. 2 Corinthians 9:8 supports: “having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” The prayer is declarative: May every good news that comes to you be accompanied with loads of wagons. There is a miracle for you today — receive it and be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Key Scriptures in Context

  • Genesis 45:25-28: Joseph’s wagons revived Jacob’s fainting spirit
  • Proverbs 17:22: Happy heart = good medicine; broken spirit = dried bones
  • 3 John 1:2: Prosper in health as soul prospers
  • Psalm 35:27: God delights in His servant’s prosperity
  • Ephesians 1:3: Blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ
  • John 10:10: Life in abundance that overflows

Tone & Call to Action

Tone: Weighty, prophetic, doctrinal, and pastoral. It is teaching + intercession. The message corrects cultural views of poverty/prosperity, then prays.
Call: Reject withholding and murmuring. Embrace God’s intent for “super-abundant” provision. Believe for good news with wagons — provision that revives you and positions you to be a blessing. Live godly by grace, with spirit and soul prospering together.

In one sentence: The message declares that God, El-Shaddai, intends His people to experience “wagon-level” provision — abundance that revives fainting hearts, sustains kingdom life, and creates capacity to give without entitlement, because true blessedness is measured by what you can do for others after your own needs are met.

OCCUPY TILL I COME IN GIVING

June 9, 2026 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

OCCUPY TILL I COME IN GIVING: FOR GOD’S LOVED-WORLD IS A GIVING WORLD!

“For God so LOVED the WORLD that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16.

God’s LOVED-WORLD is an awesome world of LOVE – therefore, don’t be SELFISH about it. To many, the opposite of LOVE may be HATE or HATRED. On the contrary, in God’s scriptural kingdom, LOVE’S opposite is SELFISHNESS – being selfish, covetous, hoarding and greedy.

“GIVE, and it shall be GIVEN unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men GIVE into your bosom. For with the SAME MEASURE that ye mete withal it shall be MEASURED to you again” Luke 6:38.

The LOVED-WORLD of God is made to be liveable, likeable, loveable and enjoyable because of the act of GIVING that takes place every now and then. For example, the plants GIVE out oxygen to RECEIVE or TAKE IN carbon dioxide for their photosynthesis. In same scenario are humans and all living creation. We GIVE out carbon dioxide and TAKE IN oxygen to keep our human body alive and life in check. This cycle keeps life going every day. It is a GIVING world; hence it is LOVED-WORLD, and it is LIKEABLE, LIVEABLE, LOVEABLE, REACHABLE, INDESCRIBABLE and ENJOYABLE

God so LOVED, He GAVE! Genuine LOVE GIVES. Where God’s LOVE is, GIVING goes along. Giving could be in the form of giving once TIME, FINANCE, PHYSIQUE (STRENGTH), TALENT/SKILL, PROTECTION [DEFEND], VISITATION, MATERIAL GIFT, SPIRITUAL CARE and such likes and MORE, to the needy and vulnerable ONE especially. To authenticate and ensure that God’s LOVE that saves us from sin keeps abounding in us by grace, our Father God abundantly and lavishly GAVE us the Holy Spirit of LOVE, to ensure that the DNA of love is embedded in us as default to live and do life in love. Thus, indicating that everyone born of God in Christ Jesus is carrying the default of love, irrespective of circumstances, except the individual chooses and decides to live otherwise against the true being in Christ Jesus’ stead.

“Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s LOVE has been ABUNDANTLY POURED out within OUR HEARTS through the Holy Spirit who was GIVEN to us . . . 8 But God clearly shows and proves His own LOVE for us, by the fact that while we were STILL SINNERS, Christ DIED for us” Romans 5:5, 8/Amplified.

It is MORE BLESSED to GIVE than to RECEIVE, for givers NEVER go down no matter what. This I know so well. Hence you see that the hand of the giver is always above and over the recipient’s hands to receive. That is the kingdom principle which also works in the natural world. Make yourself a living giver today, propelled by love and not by pride and arrogance, nor by sentiments, prejudice and dissimulation.

Therefore, do a self-check and be a GIVER today: For God’s LOVED world is a GIVING world – and our passion to help people when they are falling should outweigh our intent to crucify them when they fall – THERE’S NO ROOM FOR SELFISHNESS, HOARDING AND WITHHOLDING to enjoy the unspeakable gift of joy of God that’s in Christ Jesus stead.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“For God so LOVED the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16.

“I have shown you in every way, by labouring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘IT IS MORE BLESSED TO GIVE THAN TO RECIEVE” Acts 20:35.

“There is that SCATTERETH, and yet INCREASETH; and there is that WITHHOLDETH more than is meet, but it tendeth to POVERTY. 25 The LIBERAL soul shall be MADE fat: and he that WATERETH shall be WATERED also himself. 26 He that WITHHOLDETH corn, the people shall CURSE him: but BLESSING shall be upon the HEAD of him that SELLETH it” Proverbs 11:24-26.

“For God is not UNJUST so as to FORGET your WORK and the LOVE which you have SHOWN for His name in MINISTERING to [the needs of] the saints (God’s people), as you do. 11 And we desire for each one of you to SHOW the same DILIGENCE [all the way through] so as to realize and enjoy the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] IMITATORS of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] INHERITING the promises” Hebrews 6:10-12 (Amplified).

SUMMARY:

Central Thesis: God designed the world and His kingdom to operate by love expressed through giving. Selfishness, hoarding, and withholding are the true opposites of love and block both natural and kingdom blessing. Every believer carries a default of love by the Holy Spirit and is called to live as a giver — in time, strength, resources, and compassion — because “it is more blessed to give than to receive.”

  1. Kingdom Mandate: Occupy by Giving

The exhortation opens with Luke 19:13 — “Occupy till I come” — but reframes it as “Occupy till I come in giving.” John 3:16 anchors the entire message: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.” God’s nature is love, and love proves itself by giving. Therefore, God’s world is a “loved world” and a “giving world” by design.

  1. Doctrinal Correction: Love’s True Opposite

Culturally, people assume love’s opposite is hate or hatred. The message corrects this biblically: In God’s scriptural kingdom, love’s opposite is selfishness — manifested as being selfish, covetous, hoarding, and greedy. 1 Corinthians 13:5 underlies this: “love seeketh not her own.” Selfishness is the anti-kingdom posture; hate is the fruit, but selfishness is the root.

  1. Natural Law Confirms Kingdom Law: The Cycle of Giving

Creation itself illustrates the principle. Plants give oxygen and take in carbon dioxide; humans do the reverse. This cycle keeps life going daily. The world is “liveable, likeable, loveable, reachable, indescribable and enjoyable” because giving and receiving are built into it. Luke 6:38 is cited: “Give, and it shall be given unto you… with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” What works in nature is also kingdom principle.

  1. The Default of Love in Every Believer

Romans 5:5, 8 explains how: God saved us by love, then abundantly poured His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. This embeds the “DNA of love” as default in everyone born of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore every believer carries the capacity for love irrespective of circumstance, unless they choose to live contrary to their true being in Christ. Genuine love gives — it is not theoretical.

  1. Forms of Giving + Attitude of Giving

Giving is broad: time, finance, physique/strength, talent/skill, protection/defense, visitation, material gift, spiritual care, and more — especially to the needy and vulnerable. The attitude matters: be propelled by love, not by pride, arrogance, sentiments, prejudice, or dissimulation. Acts 20:35 is quoted: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” The giver’s hand is always above the recipient’s hand. Proverbs 11:24-26 confirms: the liberal soul shall be made fat; he that watereth shall be watered himself, while withholding leads to poverty and curse.

  1. Compassion Over Condemnation: No Room for Selfishness

The writer confronts a critical heart issue: our passion to help people when they are falling should outweigh our intent to crucify them when they fall. There is no room for selfishness, hoarding, and withholding if we want to enjoy the “unspeakable gift of joy of God that is in Christ Jesus’ stead” 2 Corinthians 9:15. Hebrews 6:10-12 reinforces: God does not forget work and love shown in ministering to His people. We are called to diligence and to imitate those who inherit promises through faith and patience.

Key Scriptures Anchoring the Message

  • John 3:16: God’s love is proven by giving His Son
  • Luke 6:38: Giving/receiving law of measure
  • Romans 5:5, 8: Love of God poured into hearts by Holy Spirit; Christ died for us while sinners
  • Acts 20:35: It is more blessed to give than to receive
  • Proverbs 11:24-26: Liberal soul made fat; withholding leads to poverty
  • Hebrews 6:10-12: God remembers ministering in love; imitate faith and patience

Tone & Call to Action

Tone: Urgent, weighty, doctrinal, and corrective. It is both teaching and exhortation.
Call: Do a self-check. Reject selfishness, covetousness, hoarding, greed. Choose to be a “living giver” today because God’s loved-world operates on giving.

In one sentence: The message declares that because God is love and He gave His Son, His world and kingdom function by giving; therefore, believers must reject selfishness as love’s true opposite, embrace the Holy Spirit’s embedded default of love, and occupy their lives as givers in every form, knowing giving is the blessed kingdom principle that keeps one above.

THE BLESSEDNESS OF – “BEING LED OF THE SPIRIT”

June 8, 2026 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

THE BLESSEDNESS OF – “BEING LED OF THE SPIRIT”: THE ENABLING POWER OF GOD TO ACCESS AND FULFILL PURPOSE IN CHRIST JESUS!

“. . . 14 For as many as are LED by the Spirit of God, they are the SONS of God . . .” Romans 8:9-11, 14-17.

“Then was Jesus LED up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil” Matthew 4:1.

Until redemption in Christ Jesus, the OLD TESTAMENT CREATION people were LED by mere men who served under God as Prophets, Priests, Kings and Levites, and who were not born again [not circumcised in the heart] otherwise born of God with the Holy Spirit living within them [Romans 2:28-29; Philippians 3:3; John 14:16-27; Romans 5:5]. All of them, from the Old Testament till the Gospel, none was born of the Spirit in their spirit-being, in order for them to know, understand and experience God within for themselves [John 3:1-15]. Those used to accomplish divine purpose in the Old Creation Testament received the Blessed [empowering] Spirit of God’s BLESSEDNESS UPON them firstly – without living WITHIN them – but ONLY for them to function and carry out the intent, plan, purpose and pursuit of God as they were instructed in all generations and dispensations until Christ Jesus. That Is when the Spirit WITHIN comes into being for our BLESSEDNESS within. The Holy Spirit, the third person of the divine trinity, was concealed – not revealed in person except in function- to those used in the Old Creation Testament.

“For there are three that bear record [witness] in heaven, THE Father, THE Word, and THE Holy Ghost: and these three are one” 1 John 5:7.

And God’s BLESSEDNESS in grace is as real as when it is being carried by the spiritual empowering of the Holy Spirit, who is the enabler of God, and the ensuring factor that brings God’s promises to physical reality – tangibility in various formats to all in humanity. Unfortunately, most people think that God’s BLESSEDNESS, [BLESSINGS] are of the physical, [tangible] things they see, feel/touch, smell, hear and taste; which unfortunately, it is not, otherwise it would rot, rust, corrupt, decay, degrade, depreciate and the like, in all things happening under the Sun. And it is heavenly secured in God’s hands of righteousness, where Christ is seated and we in grace ARE positioned and seated at the right hand of the Father God, and it is with no earthly corruptions, counterfeits, distortion and adulteration to undermine its priceless worth in the grace.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath BLESSED us with all spiritual blessings in HEAVENLY places in Christ . . . 20 which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the HEAVENLY places” Ephesians 1:3, 20.

“And hath raised us up together, and made us SIT together in HEAVENLY places in Christ Jesus” Ephesians 2:6.

“Lay not up for yourselves TREASURES upon earth, where MOTH and RUST doth CORRUPT, and where THIEVES break through and STEAL: 20 but lay up for yourselves TREASURES IN HEAVEN, where neither MOTH nor RUST doth CORRUPT, and where THIEVES do not BREAK through nor STEAL: 21 for where your TREASURE is, there will your HEART [SPIRIT-BEING] be also” Matthew 6:19-21.

For God’s enabled BLESSEDNESS, [BLESSING] it is not accompanied with sorrow and such like, but it enriches to all things. And it is not limited to any to monopolised, as it is irrespective of gender, race, colour, tongue, status, class, geographical location, etc. And it is not governed by sentiments, prejudice and dissimulation.

“The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it” Proverbs 10:22.

“For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is NO DIFFERENCE between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is RICH UNTO ALL that call upon him. 13 For WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be SAVED” Romans 10:11-13.

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is NO RESPECTER of persons: 35 but in EVERY NATION he that FEARETH him, and WORKETH RIGHTEOUSNESS, is ACCEPTED with him” Acts 10:34-35.

“Christ hath REDEEMED us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 that THE BLESSING of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might RECEIVE the PROMISE of the Spirit through faith . . . 26 For ye ARE all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is NEITHER Jew nor Greek, there is NEITHER bond nor free, there is NEITHER male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” Galatians 3:13-14, 26-29.

In same scenario, to BE LED BY THE SPIRIT [HOLY SPIRIT] is another act of the BLESSEDNESS [BLESSING] of God in Christ Jesus. That you live and do life in grace by the leading [being led] of God in every one of your life decisions, it is an awesome, gracious and graceful realm to enjoy of God in order to fulfil purpose in your redemption in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord in humanity knows the virtue of BEING LED of the Spirit, from the onset of His humanity and Ministry until the end of His time in our redemption. He knows it takes the Father God’s BLESSEDNESS to function within His perspectives. And because He was BEING LED of the Holy Spirit, He was able to fulfil the demands of the Father God for human redemption with no stone left unturned in His humanity [Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 4:1/Luke 4:1-22; Acts 10:38].

The Believers of God in Christ Jesus can also enjoy the BLESSEDNESS of God in BEING LED of the Holy Spirit. It is God’s given access to ALL in Redemption that are born of God in Christ Jesus [Romans 5:1-2, 5-8]. That is what ensures SONSHIP in God in Christ Jesus. [Galatians 4:6-7; Romans 8:14 (8-11, 14-17, 26-40); Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; John 7:37-39; Luke 11:9-13]. And every believer should crave to ensure that they are BEING LED of God, otherwise satan and his cohorts will set up middlemen in religious cloaks and will act religiously as your go-between to God, which is unscriptural toward religiosity, dogma, bondage and such like [1 Timothy 2:5; Acts 4:12]. There are many out there for deception, to pervert and to deceive others of the truth [Galatians 1:6-9; Jude 1:3-4; Philippians 1:15-18]. And BEING LED of the Holy Spirit BLESSEDNESS gives the wisdom from above, to be above only in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. [James 3:15 (13-18)].

I PRAY that you will rise up now in Christ Jesus and thirst and hunger after the BLESSEDNESS of BEING LED by the Holy Spirit of promise – who is the Holy Spirit of the triune [trinity] God [1 John 5:7]. If you act otherwise, it then means you have set yourself readily ready to fall prey and victim before the enemy and cohorts of your faith in Christ Jesus’ stead. [1 Peter 5:8-9; James 3:13-18].

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING ON CONTEXT:

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one” 1 John 5:7.

“Then was Jesus LED up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil” Matthew 4:1.

“And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was LED by the Spirit into the wilderness . . . 14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all . . . 18 The Spirit of the Lord is UPON me, because he hath ANOINTED me to PREACH the GOSPEL to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. 22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the GRACIOUS WORDS WHICH PROCEEDED OUT OF HIS MOUTH. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?” Luke 4:1-22.

“How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him” Acts 10:38/AMP Classic Edition.

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you . . . 14 For as many as are LED by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together” Romans 8:9-11, 14-17.

“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be ENDUED WITH POWER from on high” Luke 24:49.

“But ye shall RECEIVE POWER, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be WITNESSES unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” Acts 1:8.

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” John 7:37-39.

“. . . 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father GIVE the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” Luke 11:9-13.

“Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from ABOVE, but is EARTHLY, SENSUAL, DEVILISH. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace” James 3:13-18.

SUMMARY:

Core Thesis:
The message presents being led by the Holy Spirit as the central blessedness of the New Covenant. It contrasts Old Testament function “upon” with New Testament life “within”, arguing that true purpose, sonship, and God’s incorruptible blessedness are accessed only through Spirit-led living in Christ.

  1. Definition of God’s Blessedness
Nature: Not physical, tangible, or perishable. It does not rot, rust, decay, or depreciate like earthly things [Matthew 6:19-20].
Location/Security: Heavenly, secured in God’s hands of righteousness where Christ sits at the right hand of the Father [Ephesians 1:3, 20; Ephesians 2:6]. Believers are “seated in heavenly places in Christ”.
Character: Adds no sorrow [Proverbs 10:22]. Enriches in all things. Inclusive — no difference of gender, race, class, geography [Romans 10:11-13; Galatians 3:28]. Not governed by sentiment, prejudice, or dissimulation.
  1. “Being Led of the Spirit” as Enabling Power
Scriptural Anchor: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” [Romans 8:14]. Spirit-led living is presented as proof of sonship.
Christ’s Pattern: Jesus Himself knew the virtue of being Spirit-led from the start of His ministry [Luke 4:1] until redemption was complete [Matthew 4:1; Acts 10:38]. He functioned by the Father’s blessedness and the Spirit’s empowerment, fulfilling every demand of redemption.
Believer’s Access: This same Spirit-led access is “God’s given access to all in redemption who are born of God in Christ Jesus” [Romans 5:1-2, 5-8]. It is not for a select few.
  1. Old Testament vs New Testament Contrast
Old Testament Creation: People were led by men under God — Prophets, Priests, Kings, Levites. They were “not born again, not circumcised in the heart” [Romans 2:28-29].
Spirit’s Role Then: The Spirit came upon them for function — to carry out God’s intent for that dispensation — but did not live within them [John 7:39]. None were born of the Spirit in their spirit-being until Christ.
New Testament Reality: With redemption in Christ, the Spirit within comes into being for the believer’s blessedness. The Spirit is now revealed, not concealed, as the third person of the triune God [1 John 5:7]. This enables knowing, understanding, and experiencing God internally [John 3:1-15].
  1. Practical Implications for Believers
Sonship & Purpose: Spirit-led living ensures sonship [Galatians 4:6-7; Romans 8:14-17] and empowers believers to access and fulfil purpose in Christ.
Warning Against Religious Go-Betweens: If believers are not Spirit-led, they become prey to “middlemen in religious cloaks” promoting religiosity, dogma, and bondage [1 Timothy 2:5; Acts 4:12]. Scripture warns of deceivers who pervert truth [Galatians 1:6-9; Jude 1:3-4].
Wisdom from Above: Being led by the Holy Spirit gives “wisdom from above” — pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy [James 3:15, 17] — which keeps the believer “above only in Christ Jesus’ stead”.
  1. Exhortation

The message closes as a prayerful charge: believers must “rise up now in Christ Jesus and thirst and hunger after the blessedness of being led by the Holy Spirit of promise” [Matthew 5:6; Luke 11:9-13]. Failure to do so leaves one open as prey to the enemy [1 Peter 5:8-9]. The call is to crave Spirit-dependence for power, witness [Acts 1:8; Luke 24:49], and victory.

Summary in one sentence:
God’s incorruptible, heavenly blessedness in Christ is accessed and expressed through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit within, which makes Spirit-led living the defining mark of New Covenant sonship, purpose, and protection against religious bondage.

HAVE FAITH IN GOD

June 8, 2026 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

HAVE FAITH IN GOD: FOR NO WORD MEANS NO FAITH – AND NO PLEASING OF GOD!

“. . . 2 And be not CONFORMED to this world: but be ye TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that ye may PROVE what is that GOOD, and ACCEPTABLE, and PERFECT, will of God. 3 For I say, through THE GRACE GIVEN unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, ACCORDING as God hath DEALT to every man THE MEASURE OF FAITH” Romans 12:1-3.

We live in the days of divergent INFORMATION. And information generates what we BELIEVE and our BELIEVING trajectory, which invariably affects either our FAITH toward God or creates in us the attitude of FATE on other things. And INFORMATION is available in almost every facet of our way of doing life for various reasons; and most of the time, the information that is there may lure people away from the TRUTH for purposes intended to make them not HAVE FAITH IN GOD. And unfortunately, that is why the INFORMATION that is available in some sources is not TRANSFORMING and TRANSFORMATIVE for the good of doing life, to lead one to godly living – toward God and FAITH in our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.

Suffice it to know that FAITH is not BELIEVE and BELIEVE is not FAITH, though sometimes we use them interchangeably, which does not make spiritual, scriptural sense. FAITH is ACTIVE while BELIEVE is PASSIVE. And FAITH is acting correspondingly or accordingly on what you BELIEVE of and on God’s WORD and SAYINGS in SCRIPTURAL context.

FAITH comes by the HEARING and CONTINUOUS HEARING of God’s WORD. Faith does not come by HAVING HEARD, for FAITH is NOW and it is ACTIVE and not PASSIVE. It thus means: if FAITH can COME or be activated by the CONTINUOUS HEARING of God’s WORD, it means also FAITH can GO or be inactive due to the lack of REFRESHING of The WORD. Which then indicates that NO WORD means a NO FAITH, and NO PLEASING OF GOD – for FAITH PLEASES God Hebrews 11:6; and the consequence of NO FAITH is emptiness, noise-making, foolishness, stupidity, ignorance and God kept at a distance, for God can not dwell outside His WORD.

“So then FAITH cometh by HEARING, and HEARING by the WORD of God” Romans 10:17.

“But WITHOUT FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to [walk with God and] PLEASE Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] BELIEVE that God exists and that He REWARDS those who [EARNESTLY and DILIGENTLY] seek Him” Hebrews 11:6 Amplified.

Therefore, do yourself a FAVOUR and get back into the CONTINUOUS MOOD and REALM of the HEARING of The WORD of God, and not in stories or comments or analogy or make-believe of men and more, about the WORD. Your happiness and joy are within your reach. Do something about yourself, to ensure your FAITH works for your goodness, graciousness and gracefulness in every way.

“As he spake these words, many BELIEVED on him. 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which BELIEVED on him, If ye CONTINUE IN MY WORD, then are ye MY DISCIPLES indeed; 32 and ye shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH shall make you FREE” John 8:30-32.

I plead with you today and even now to HAVE FAITH IN GOD, for He is GOOD and FAITHFUL, TRUE and SURE to all His PROMISES, toward our path in doing life and living godly, in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“So then FAITH cometh by HEARING, and HEARING by the WORD of God” Romans 10:17.

“But without FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to PLEASE him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” Hebrews 11:6.

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God OVERCOMETH THE WORLD: and this is the victory that OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, even our FAITH. 5 Who is he that OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:3-5.

“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath DEALT to every man THE MEASURE OF FAITH” Romans 12:3.

“. . . 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, HAVE FAITH IN GOD. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” Mark 11:12-14, 22-24.

SUMMARY:

The message opens with Romans 12:1-3: “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” and “God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
Core thesis: Have faith in God: for no Word means no faith — and no pleasing of God [Hebrews 11:6]. Faith is sustained only by continuous hearing of God’s Word. In days of divergent information, only the Word produces transforming faith.

KEY POINTS

  1. Diagnosis of the Age: Divergent Information vs Truth
We live in days of divergent information. Information shapes what we believe and our believing trajectory. That trajectory either builds faith toward God or produces an attitude of fate toward other things.
Observation: Most available information lures people away from truth to prevent them from having faith in God. Much of it is not transforming/transformative for godly living. Only God’s Word leads to faith in our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.
  2. Key Distinction: Faith vs Believe
Suffice it to know that faith is not believe and believe is not faith, though we use them interchangeably.
    Definition:
  • Believe = passive — mental assent.
  • Faith = active — acting correspondingly on what you believe of and on God’s Word and sayings in scriptural context.
Faith is the obedient response to truth believed.
  1. Mechanics of Faith: It is “Now” and Sustained by Hearing
Romans 10:17: “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Doctrine: Faith comes by the hearing and continuous hearing of God’s Word. Faith does not come by “having heard” in the past.
Implication: If faith can come/activate by continuous hearing of the Word, then faith can also go/be inactive by lack of refreshing of the Word.
Formula: No Word = no faith = no pleasing of God.
Hebrews 11:6 Amplified: “Without faith it is impossible to please Him.” Consequence of no faith: emptiness, noisemaking, foolishness, stupidity, ignorance, and God kept at a distance, for God cannot dwell outside His Word.
  2. Pastoral Charge + Application
Therefore, do yourself a favour and get back into the continuous mood and realm of the hearing of the Word of God, and not in stories, comments, analogy, or make-believe of men about the Word.
Promise: Your happiness and joy are within your reach. Do something about yourself so your faith works for your goodness, graciousness and gracefulness in every way.
John 8:30-32: “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Freedom, discipleship, and victory come through abiding in the Word.
  3. Closing Plea + Character of God
I plead with you today and even now to have faith in God, for He is good and faithful, true and sure to all His promises, toward our path in doing life and living godly, in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.
  4. Scriptural Thoughts Worth Pondering
The message reinforces the theology of faith with anchor texts:
  • Romans 10:17 – Faith comes by hearing the Word
  • Hebrews 11:6 – Without faith impossible to please God; He rewards diligent seekers
  • 1 John 5:3-5 – This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith
  • Romans 12:3 – God has dealt to every man the measure of faith
  • Mark 11:22-24 – “Have faith in God… believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” — faith speaks + expects

In one sentence: The message is a warning against information overload without the Word, followed by a call to return to continuous hearing of God’s Word because faith is active, present-tense, and the only way to please God — and it is sustained only by the Word, not by past encounters or men’s opinions.

This works as a 3-part teaching outline: Problem: Information without Word → Principle: Faith is active + now → Practice: Continue in the Word to please God and overcome the world.

LIVING IN A WORLD WITHOUT GOD

June 8, 2026 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

LIVING IN A WORLD WITHOUT GOD: GOD’S LOVED-WORLD – THE ONLY POSSIBLE ANTIDOTE TO THE HATE AND INJUSTICE WORLD – THAT WE SEE EVERYDAY!

“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins, THAT HE MIGHT DELIVER US FROM THIS PRESENT EVIL WORLD, according to the WILL of God and our Father: 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” Galatians 1:3-5.

There is evil, oppression and wickedness in the world. And the perpetrators of these evils and wickedness makes gains daily towards and by their craft, and thereby undermining the effect and damage to others by their crafted advantage. Except Gods intervention is sorted, these evil and the perpetrators will know no bounds untill probably the inevitable death that’s common to all men, catches up with them early enough before their acts becomes unbearable. And God in the light of the scriptures of Galatians 1:3-5, is determined to DELIVER US FROM THIS PRESENT EVIL WORLD by His own scriptural context. And the answer is in His love to the world. For God’s LOVED-WORLD, is the ANTIDOTE to the hate, wickedness, prejudice, sentiments, dissimulation and injustice in the unjust world about us all. And it’s the possible ANSWER to all the evil and wickedness around us; for it’s in God’s loved world that we can actualise the reality of living purposefully and meaningfully for the good of OTHERS beyond us in Christ Jesus stead.

“For God so LOVED the WORLD, that he GAVE his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God SENT not his Son into the WORLD to CONDEMN THE WORLD; but that THE WORLD THROUGH HIM MIGHT BE SAVED. 18 He that BELIEVETH on him is not CONDEMNED: but he that BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, because he hath not BELIEVED IN THE NAME of the only begotten Son of God” John 3:16-18.

In a world full of the UNDOING of others for selfishness, greed, wickedness, evil and such like by some across the board [Colleagues, Friends, Family, Community, Society and Nation against Nation in the world], there’s another side to it, there’s the earnest desires in thirst and hunger for LOVE in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus stead; for an environment where injustice, hatred, evil, selfishness, wickedness and perversions of all sorts exist, what human hearts need is a loving friend and friendship to avert such perversion of WICKEDNESS and EVIL as we see daily within our vicinity and abode.

And in God’s loved world, we respond by the Word to the indifference about us, we don’t react to it by our senses [feel, taste, smell, feel, see], especially to the injustice, evil, wickedness and such like about us; otherwise, we may end up being hurt, hate, bitter, unforgiving, depressed, fear phobia and such like as those that are pleasuring in perpetuating the whole scenario for selfishness and senselessness.

God has promised to see you through in LOVE, in His LOVED WORLD from the present EVIL DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD as in the Holy Writ – ‘HOLY ‘BIBLE’, which I term as the – “BLESSED INFORMATION BRINGING LIFE ETERNAL”. And God has ENSURED and COMMENDED us to the Holy Spirit of love, to make it possible in 24/7, to love too in the face of adverse uncertainty as it’s written:

“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins, THAT HE MIGHT DELIVER US FROM THIS PRESENT EVIL WORLD, according to the will of God and our Father: 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” Galatians 1:3-5.

“And hope maketh not ashamed; BECAUSE THE LOVE OF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS by the Holy Ghost which is GIVEN unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God COMMENDETH HIS LOVE TOWARD US, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:5-8.

Jesus had made the act to love a COMMAND and not an ADVICE. God will only commend what He commands, therefore let God’s love rule your day as you take on with people. It is in this act of living and walking in God’s love shall you be known as a Follower of Christ, not by religious gimmicks and oblations.

“A NEW COMMANDMENT I GIVE TO YOU, that you LOVE one another; as I have LOVED you, that you also LOVE one another. 35 By this all will know that you are MY DISCIPLES, if you have LOVE for one another” John 13:34-35.

LET GOD’S LOVE RULE AND REIGN IN AND THROUGH YOU TO – OUR HATE AND EVIL WORLD OF DARKNESS IN GOD’S GRACIOUSNESSS, GRACEFULNESS AND BLESSEDNESS IN CHRIST JESUS STEAD. AMEN.

Living without God’s love in the world, is living a lifeless, hopeless and faithless and fruitless living. Get into God’s love world, and make a difference for the wholesome and wholeness that we all deserve in doing life and living godly in the grace, in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

Every grace and blessings in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

GOD’S LOVED WORLD – THE ANTIDOTE – POSSIBLE BY THE WORD FOR THE EVIL, HATE AND WICKED WORLD

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who GAVE himself for our sins, that he might DELIVER US FROM THIS PRESENT EVIL WORLD, ACCORDING TO THE WILL of God and our Father: 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” Galatians 1:3-5.

“This is my COMMANDMENT, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I COMMAND you” John 15:12-14.

“Let LOVE be without DISSIMULATION (HYPOCRISY). Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another . . .17 RECOMPENSE TO NO MAN EVIL FOR EVIL. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Dearly beloved, AVENGE not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, VENGEANCE is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine ENEMY HUNGER, FEED him; if he THIRST, GIVE him DRINK: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 BE NOT OVERCOME OF EVIL, BUT OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD” Romans 12:9-21 Emphasis Mine.

“If thine ENEMY be HUNGRY, GIVE him bread to eat; and if he be THIRSTY, GIVE him water to drink: 22 for thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall REWARD thee” Proverbs 25:21-22.

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH: 39 but I say unto you, THAT YE RESIST NOT EVIL: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. 41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbour, and HATE thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, BLESS THEM THAT CURSE YOU, DO GOOD TO THEM THAT HATE YOU, AND PRAY FOR THEM WHICH DESPITEFULLY USE YOU, AND PERSECUTE YOU; 45 that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” Matthew 5:38-48.

SUMMARY:

The message opens with Galatians 1:3-5: “Grace be to you and peace from God the Father… who gave himself for our sins, that he might DELIVER US FROM THIS PRESENT EVIL WORLD, according to the will of God and our Father.”
Core thesis: In a world of hate, injustice and wickedness, God’s loved-world is the only possible antidote — and it is made possible by the Word. This frames the entire message as a gospel response to global evil.

KEY POINTS

  1. Diagnosis of the World
The writer describes the present reality: evil, oppression, wickedness perpetrated daily by individuals, groups, and nations — colleagues, friends, family, community, society, nation against nation. Perpetrators “make gains through their craft” and cause damage by crafted advantage.
Observation: Without God’s intervention, this evil will escalate unchecked until death, which is common to all, intervenes. Human solutions fail because the problem is moral + spiritual.
  2. God’s Prescribed Antidote: His Loved-world
God’s response, according to scripture, is love.
John 3:16-18 is cited: God did not send His Son to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Definition: God’s loved-world is the environment created by His love in Christ Jesus. It is the antidote to hate, prejudice, dissimulation, injustice, and perversion. Only within this loved-world can humans live purposefully and meaningfully “for the good of others beyond us in Christ Jesus indeed.”
  3. Human Condition vs Divine Desire
Even in a world of “undoing of others through selfishness, greed, wickedness,” there remains in human hearts an earnest thirst and hunger for love and friendship. That is the image of God in man. What people need in environments of injustice and perversion is not more retaliation, but a loving friend and friendship to avert the spread of wickedness.
  4. Discipleship Response: Respond by the Word, not React by the Senses
In God’s loved-world, believers are called to respond by the Word instead of reacting by the five senses — feel, taste, smell, see. Reacting by senses to injustice, evil, wickedness leads to being hurt, hateful, bitter, unforgiving, depressed, gripped by fear and phobia. That makes us like the perpetrators.
Charge: Do not be conformed to the pattern of the world. Let the Word govern your response.
  5. Divine Provision for the Command
God has promised to see believers through. He has ensured and commended us to the Holy Spirit of love to make it possible 24/7 to love in the face of adverse uncertainty.
Romans 5:5-8: “The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost… But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Therefore, loving is not mere advice — Jesus made love a COMMAND, not an advice [John 13:34-35]. God only commends what He commands.
  6. Mark of True Discipleship
The distinguishing mark of a follower of Christ is not religious gimmicks or oblations but living and walking in God’s love. “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” [John 13:35].
Benediction: Let God’s love rule and reign in and through you to our hate and evil world of darkness in God’s graciousness, gracefulness and blessedness in Christ Jesus indeed. Amen.
  7. Consequences of Rejecting the Antidote
Living without God’s love is lifeless, hopeless, faithless and fruitless. The call is to “get into God’s love-world” to experience wholesomeness and wholeness that we all deserve while doing life and living godly in grace.
  8. Scriptural Thoughts Worth Pondering
The message closes by reinforcing the theology of love with key texts:
  • Galatians 1:4 – Deliverance from this present evil world
  • John 15:12-14 – Greater love: lay down life for friends
  • Romans 12:9-21 – Overcome evil with good, bless persecutors, feed enemies
  • Matthew 5:38-48 – Love your enemies, pray for them that despitefully use you, be perfect as your Father is perfect

THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD RULES

June 8, 2026 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD RULES: ENSURE YOU ARE LIVING ON THE MERCY OF GOD!

“Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of MERCIES, and the God of all comfort” 2 Corinthians 1:2-3.

The sovereignty of God over all is without controversy. He is the one who determines and defines what was, is, and is to come. As such He created all things for His own pleasure and glory, dominion and power, and He is answerable to none. All creation bows before Him and adores His majesty. He is indescribable and incomprehensible in all that pertains to doing life – earthly wise = and living godly – heavenly wise. His SOVEREIGNTY reigns through all generations and dispensations, past and present, and holds the world and all that dwells therein in the palm of His hands. At His presence Kingdoms shake, governments stand still, and people and all other creation tremble. Words are not enough to qualify and quantify Him, but we can sum Him up by looking through the face of Christ Jesus, our Saviour and Lord.

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive GLORY and HONOUR and POWER: for thou hast CREATED ALL THINGS, and for THY PLEASURE they ARE and WERE created” Revelation 4:11.

Being sovereign makes God say to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I choose to have mercy” irrespective of what anyone thinks, imagines, or expects of Him. He chose Moses, who stammered, instead of Aaron his eloquent-speaking brother, to LEAD His people out of Egypt toward the promised land. Sometimes, in human sense, it seems God is partial and unfair in His dealings with us, but that is what MAKES Him SOVEREIGN. Because what He sees and knows and understands that makes Him take certain decisions is beyond our infinitesimal imagination and thoughts. For His ways are not our ways. Hence, to imagine God saying I “chose Jacob instead of Esau”, Joseph instead of other eleven children of Jacob”, and Manasseh instead of Ephraim” and to choose Apostle Paul – a Chief of Sinners as he called himself – to preach the New Creation Gospel, tells us a lot about God’s sovereignty in human affairs and in all of His creation. And in all, He remains the just, good, faithful, true and sure Father God in His sovereignty.

Have you ever imagined going through life, and the people you considered to have no ground of existence are still here, while those you considered to have a ground are no more? Think of any scenario in human affairs – sometimes you wonder why certain things happen to certain people and not others, according to your own perception of things.

Does it mean that God hates some and loves some? And that God is an unrighteous judge in His sovereign decision? But that is not the case at all with God, beyond our human perception and limitations of His SOVEREIGNTY in our earthly affairs and heavenly affairs. There is an operating default in God’s sovereignty over all, and it is called MERCY – THE MERCY OF GOD. The MERCY OF GOD is that default in Him that enables divine kindness to offset divine judgment for obvious and non-obvious faults and mistakes in our earthly and heavenly affairs. It is the MERCY of God that enables one to do life beyond the ordinary and human comprehension. Through the course of time, in the phases of the divine PURPOSE for our lives, we FRAIL human beings – just as the Psalmist declared that the Lord knows our FRAME, that we are dust – it is only by living under the cover of His MERCY that we can keep on keeping on, as it is written:

“Just as a father LOVES his children, So the Lord LOVES those who FEAR and WORSHIP Him [with AWE-FILLED RESPECT and DEEPEST REVERENCE]. 14 For He KNOWS our [MORTAL] FRAME; He remembers that we are [merely] dust” Psalms 103:13-14 AMPLIFIED.

Apostle Paul, considering the havoc he caused to the Church of God and others, knew God’s MERCY so well in his course of doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus. That knowledge enabled him not to FAINT, but to explore God’s MERCY tremendously, in order to live a fulfilled LIFE and GODLINESS in his ministry, as written:

“Therefore SEEING we have this MINISTRY, as we have RECEIVED MERCY, WE FAINT NOT” 2 Corinthians 4:1.

YOU NEED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY YOU HAVE EACH DAY TO HIDE AND LIVE YOUR LIFE UNDER THE MERCY OF GOD. For God is sovereign and decides the times and terms of life for all, irrespective of status, religion, gender, colour, tongue. and such like.

Therefore, enough of that pride and arrogancy and misplaced priority and stubbornness and such like, because life is as a mist that appears in the new dawn and straight away it is gone. Make every opportunity you have to count and account for you in doing life in earthly affairs and living godly in heavenly affairs in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

“Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14 WHEREAS YE KNOW NOT WHAT SHALL BE ON THE MORROW. FOR WHAT IS YOUR LIFE? IT IS EVEN A VAPOUR, THAT APPEARETH FOR A LITTLE TIME, AND THEN VANISHETH AWAY. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. 17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin” John 4:13-17.

Just know: It is only the knowing and understanding that you are LIVING UNDER THE MERCY OF GOD that enables you to keep on keeping on, even in the Face of FAINTING, TRIBULATIONS, TRIALS, OPPOSITION, DISAPPOINTMENT, SICKNESSES AND DISEASES, FAMILY BREAKDOWN, MARITAL STRUGGLE, FRUSTRATIONS IN SINGLENESS, CHILDLESSNESS, AND MANY MORE SUCH LIKE MALADIES OF LIFE.

Today, I call on you to let GOD’S MERCY speak for you in that life challenge, just as the two blind men experienced of God’s mercy in Matthew 9:27-31. They explored the sovereign default – THE MERCY OF GOD – and that interjection through the act of PRAYER spoke into their situation and changed their life storyline forever, in their earthly affairs.

It could be your time now. Act accordingly for your BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

SELAH – PAUSE AND THINK.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“. . . 14 What shall we say then? Is there UNRIGHTEOUSNESS with God? GOD FORBID. 15 For he saith to Moses, I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I WILL HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I WILL HAVE COMPASSION. 16 SO THEN IT IS NOT OF HIM THAT WILLETH, NOR OF HIM THAT RUNNETH, BUT OF GOD THAT SHEWETH MERCY. 17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. 18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth . . . 23 and that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, 24 even us, whom he hath CALLED, NOT OF THE JEWS ONLY, BUT ALSO OF THE GENTILES? 25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them MY PEOPLE, which were NOT MY PEOPLE; and HER BELOVED, which was NOT BELOVED . . .” Romans 9:1-33.

“And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, HAVE MERCY ON US. 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe Ye That I Am Able To Do This? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH BE IT UNTO YOU. 30 And their EYES WERE OPENED; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. 31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country” Matthew 9:27-31.

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, AS WE HAVE RECEIVED MERCY, WE FAINT NOT; 2 but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 FOR GOD, WHO COMMANDED THE LIGHT TO SHINE OUT OF DARKNESS, HATH SHINED IN OUR HEARTS, TO GIVE THE LIGHT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF GOD IN THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST. 7 But we have this TREASURE in EARTHEN VESSELS, that the EXCELLENCY of the POWER may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you. 13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 14 knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, WORKETH for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are SEEN ARE TEMPORAL; but the things which are NOT SEEN ARE ETERNAL” 2 Corinthians 4:1-18.

SUMMARY:

The message opens with 2 Corinthians 1:2-3: “Grace be to you and peace from God our Father… the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.”
Core charge:

The sovereignty of God rules: ensure you are living under the mercy of God.
Sovereignty is without controversy. God alone determines and defines what was, is, and is to come. He created all things for His pleasure, glory, dominion and power [Revelation 4:11], and is answerable to none. All creation bows and trembles at His presence. He is indescribable and incomprehensible in earthly and heavenly affairs, summed up only in Christ Jesus, our Saviour and Lord.

KEY POINTS

  1. Sovereignty in divine choice plus mercy
God’s sovereignty is seen in His choices: “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy” [Exodus 33:19; Romans 9:15].
He chose Moses the stammerer over eloquent Aaron to lead Israel out of Egypt to the Promised Land.
He chose Jacob instead of Esau [Romans 9:13], Joseph over 11 brothers, Manasseh over Ephraim, and Apostle Paul — a chief of sinners [1 Timothy 1:15] to preach the new creation gospel.
To human sense this looks unfair, but that is what makes Him sovereign. His ways are not our ways [Isaiah 55:8-9]. Yet He remains just, good, faithful, true and sure Father God.
  2. God’s operating default: mercy
We often wonder why some with “no ground” remain while others with “ground” are gone. But God’s operating default is mercy — the mercy of God.
Mercy is divine kindness that offsets divine judgment for faults in earthly and heavenly affairs. It enables one to do life beyond the ordinary.
Psalm 103:13-14: “For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.”
So we keep on keeping on only by living under the cover of His mercy.
  3. Paul’s pattern: received mercy → faint not
Apostle Paul, who caused havoc to the church of God, knew God’s mercy. That knowledge enabled him not to faint but to live a fulfilled life and godliness in ministry.
2 Corinthians 4:1, 16: “As we have received mercy, we faint not… though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”
We have treasure in earthen vessels, so the excellency of power is of God. Light affliction works for us an eternal weight of glory as we look at things not seen = eternal [2 Corinthians 4:17-18].
  4. Urgency: life is a mist
You need to take advantage of every opportunity each day to hide and live your life under the mercy of God. God decides times and terms for all, irrespective of status, religion, gender, colour, tongue.
Enough of pride, arrogancy, misplaced priority, stubbornness — because life is a mist/vapour that appears and vanishes [James 4:14].
Make every opportunity count in earthly affairs and living godly in heavenly affairs in Christ Jesus.
  5. Mercy sustains every malady
It is only knowing and understanding that you are living under the mercy of God that enables you to keep on keeping on in the face of fainting, tribulations, trials, opposition, disappointment, sicknesses and diseases, family breakdown, marital struggle, frustrations in singleness, childlessness, and maladies of life.
  6. Altar call: it could be your time
Today I call on you: Let God’s mercy speak for you in that life challenge, just as the two blind men in Matthew 9:27-31 cried “Have mercy on us”. Their interjection through prayer spoke into their situation and changed their life storyline forever.
Romans 9:16: “So then it is not of him that willeth… but of God that sheweth mercy.”

Closing charge: It could be your time now. Act accordingly for your blessedness in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

Scriptures to ponder: Romans 9:1-33, Matthew 9:27-31, 2 Corinthians 4:1-18.

DEAR CHILD OF GOD

June 7, 2026 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

DEAR CHILD OF GOD: DON’T GO DOWN TO EGYPT [WORLDLY, FLESHLY-RULED WAYS] – IRRESPECTIVE!

“Now there was a FAMINE (ECONOMIC CRISIS) in the land [of Canaan], besides the previous FAMINE that had occurred in the days of Abraham. So Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines. 2 The Lord appeared to him and said, “DO NOT GO DOWN TO EGYPT; stay in the land of which I will tell you . . . 12 Then Isaac SOWED in that land, and RECEIVED in the same year an HUNDREDFOLD: and the Lord BLESSED him. 13 And the man WAXED great, and went forward, and grew until he BECAME very great: 14 for he had POSSESSION of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines ENVIED him. 15 For all the wells which his father’s servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth. 16 And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we . . . 22 And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it REHOBOTH; and he said, For now the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be FRUITFUL in the land . . .” Genesis 26:1-35.

In the scriptural context of Genesis 26:1-16, EGYPT stands for one’s STATE of – unbelief, backsliding, famine, economic crisis, hunger, joblessness, hopelessness, faithlessness, lovelessness, setbacks, failures, pain, hurt, depression, the unbeliever’s ways of doing life and such like. And, as a child of God, it thus means that you don’t need to FAKE it to make and achieve greatness in LIFE and GODLINESS. Therefore, DARE TO BELIEVE in God’s WORD and act upon it in FAITH, and you will BECOME just as the covenant Isaac BECAME when he acted on the covenant will of God’s WORD concerning him when the opportunity to act on God’s WORD showed up to deal with the economic crisis that almost bewildered him.

No matter how DEADENED and DARKENED your situation or circumstances are, or the FAMINE – ECONOMIC CRISIS – in your life, you need to know: You are a COVENANT child and you don’t need to bewildered to let anything make you GO DOWN TO EGYPT or learn their ways [fleshly-ruled and bodily-ruled], as in the world systems as governed by satan and his cohorts, in order for you to MAKE things easier in your doing life and to live godly.

You don’t have to FAKE it until you MAKE it, because our God does not prosper distortion, adulteration and counterfeit and camouflage of deception. For by the deeds of the flesh [human strength] shall no man prevail with God in Christ Jesus stead [1 Samuel 2:7-9; Romans 3:20; Romans 8:13].

Take the Faith stand in the grace and inform yourself that you ARE in the world, but NOT of the world’s ways of doing life – and you are to live godly to prevail with God at the same time. For you ARE of God and the GREATER GOD lives in you as it’s written:

“YOU ARE OF GOD, little children, and have OVERCOME them: BECAUSE GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU, THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD. 5 THEY ARE OF THE WORLD: therefore speak they of the WORLD, and the WORLD heareth them. 6 WE ARE OF GOD: he that KNOWETH God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error” 1 John 4:4-6.

“For WHATSOEVER IS BORN of God OVERCOMETH THE WORLD: and this is the VICTORY THAT OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, EVEN OUR FAITH. 5 Who is he that OVERCOMETH THE WORLD, but he that BELIEVETH that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:4-5.

Therefore, by the enabling GRACE and the POWER of the GREATER one inside you, you can confront your situation, that is to say, that MOUNTAIN or VALLEY or ROUGH places or CROOKED roads of your life can be overcome triumphantly. This is by pondering on God’s WORD – that is, MEDITATING, on the covenant WILL of God in your REDEMPTION in Christ Jesus concerning that subject MATTER; and this is based on your belief and faith on the WORD, as led by the Blessed Holy Spirit, in order to make and ensure your way to the PROSPERITY and GOOD SUCCESS in God’s PURPOSE for you as in the holy writ Scriptures [Joshua 1:8-9; 3 John 1:2; Psalms 1:1-3].

God’s plan, purpose and pursuit is to ensure that in famine He gives the needed wisdom to excel, be satisfied, and stay above all odds, and to sustain and prosper you by Himself in the midst of challenging and changing times.

“He shall DELIVER thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. 20 IN FAMINE HE SHALL REDEEM THEE FROM DEATH: AND IN WAR FROM THE POWER OF THE SWORD. 21 Thou shalt be HID from the SCOURGE of the TONGUE: neither shalt thou be AFRAID OF DESTRUCTION when it cometh. 22 At DESTRUCTION and FAMINE thou shalt LAUGH: neither shalt thou be AFRAID of the BEASTS of the earth. 23 For thou shalt be in LEAGUE with the stones of the field: and the BEASTS of the field shall be at PEACE with thee” Job 5:19-23.

“Behold, the EYE of the Lord is UPON them that FEAR [REVERENCE] him, upon them that HOPE in his mercy; 19 to DELIVER their soul from death, and to keep them ALIVE IN FAMINE. 20 Our soul WAITETH for the Lord: he is our HELP and our SHIELD” Psalms 33:18-20.

“. . . The Lord KNOWETH the days of the upright: and their INHERITANCE shall be for ever. 19 They shall not be ASHAMED in the EVIL TIME: AND IN THE DAYS OF FAMINE THEY SHALL BE SATISFIED . . . 23 The STEPS OF A GOOD MAN ARE ORDERED BY THE LORD: AND HE DELIGHTETH IN HIS WAY. 24 Though he FALL, he shall not be UTTERLY cast down: for the Lord UPHOLDETH him with his hand” Psalms 37:18-19, 23-24.

Upon the knowledge and understanding of God’s WORD in Scriptural context to ENSURE you become PARTAKER of God’s blessedness in Christ Jesus, I say to you today: Be STRONG and very COURAGEOUS in the Lord, because your VICTORY and TRIUMPH are certain. It is your right in grace, in Christ Jesus stead, just as the Scriptures declare [Joshua 1:1-9 and Isaiah 40:3-5 and 1 John 5:3-5].

If you are on the RED LIGHT of life, please stop and take a pause, take time to ponder on the WORD of grace, and patiently wait through the AMBER LIGHT until the GREEN LIGHT of FAITH shows up – then go and BECOME as you are LED of God by the Holy Spirit in His WORD accordingly [Genesis 26:12-16]. For in your good works, God knows, and He is not unrighteous or unfaithful or unthankful or ungrateful to forget.  He wants you to keep sure in diligence and not be slothful in business, but to be an imitator and follower of those who through faith inherit their promised BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

“For God is not unjust so as to FORGET your work and the love which you have SHOWN for His name in MINISTERING to [the needs of] the saints (God’s people), AS YOU DO. 11 And we DESIRE for each one of you to SHOW the same DILIGENCE [all the way through] so as to realize and enjoy the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you will not be [spiritually] SLUGGISH, but [will instead be] IMITATORS of those who through FAITH [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by PATIENT endurance [even when suffering] are [now] INHERITING the PROMISES” Hebrews 6:10-12/Amplified.

It is my wishes and PRAYERS for you today, that you may experience the BLESSEDNESS of God in times of your challenges in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“For God, who commanded the LIGHT TO SHINE OUT OF DARKNESS, hath SHINED IN OUR HEARTS, to Give The Light Of The Knowledge of the glory of God in the FACE of Jesus Christ” 2 Corinthians 4:6.

“Now there was a FAMINE (ECONOMIC CRISIS) in the land [of Canaan], besides the previous FAMINE that had occurred in the days of Abraham. So Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines. 2 The Lord APPEARED to him and said, “DO NOT GO DOWN TO EGYPT; stay in the land of which I will tell you. 3 Live temporarily [as a resident] in this land and I will be with you and will BLESS and FAVOR you, for I will give all these lands to you and to your descendants, and I will ESTABLISH and carry out the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. 4 I will make your descendants MULTIPLY as the stars of the heavens, and will give to your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants shall all the nations of the earth be BLESSED, 5 because Abraham LISTENED to and OBEYED My voice and [consistently] kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” . . . 12 Then Isaac PLANTED [seed] in that land [as a farmer] and REAPED in the same year a hundred times [as much as he had planted], and the Lord BLESSED and FAVORED him. 13 And the man [Isaac] BECAME great and gained more and more until he BECAME very wealthy and extremely distinguished; 14 he OWNED flocks and herds and a great household [with a number of servants], and the Philistines ENVIED him. 15 Now all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines stopped up by filling them with dirt. 16 Then Abimelech said to Isaac, “Go away from here, because you are far too powerful for us.” 17 So Isaac left that region and camped in the Valley of Gerar, and settled there” Genesis 26:1-5, 12-16 Amplified.

“And this is the CONFIDENCE that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS WILL, he heareth us: 15 and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him” 1 John 5:14-15.

“CAST NOT AWAY THEREFORE YOUR CONFIDENCE, which hath great recompence of reward. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul” Hebrews 10:35-39.

“BE STRONG AND OF A GOOD COURAGE: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 7 Only be thou STRONG AND VERY COURAGEOUS, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” Joshua 1:6-9.

“Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; 19 to DELIVER their soul from death, and to keep them ALIVE IN FAMINE.

“The VOICE of him that crieth in the WILDERNESS, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, MAKE STRAIGHT IN THE DESERT A HIGHWAY for our God. 4 EVERY VALLEY shall be EXALTED, and EVERY MOUNTAIN and HILL shall be MADE LOW: and the CROOKED shall be MADE STRAIGHT, and the ROUGH PLACES PLAIN: 5 and the GLORY of the Lord shall be REVEALED, and ALL FLESH shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it” Isaiah 40:3-5.

SUMMARY:

The message is Based on Genesis 26:1-35, the central instruction is: DO NOT GO DOWN TO EGYPT. When Isaac faced famine/economic crisis, God’s command wasn’t to escape, but to stay, obey, and sow in the land He directed. The result was Isaac sowed, received a hundredfold, became very great, and came to Rehoboth — room/space [Gen 26:12-13, 22].

KEY POINTS

  1. Definition of “Egypt”
In covenant context, Egypt represents a state of unbelief, backsliding, famine, economic crisis, hunger, joblessness, hopelessness, faithlessness, setbacks, pain, depression, and the unbeliever’s ways of doing life. Going to Egypt means adopting world systems ruled by flesh and satan.
  2. Covenant identity in crisis
As a Covenant child, you don’t need to be bewildered into Egypt or “fake it till you make it.” God does not prosper distortion, counterfeit, or deception. By the deeds of the flesh no man prevails with God [1 Sam 2:9; Rom 8:13]. You are in the world but not of the world’s ways. Because the Greater One lives in you [1 John 4:4], whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world — even our faith [1 John 5:4].
  3. How to overcome mountains/valleys
By the enabling Grace and Power of the Greater One inside you, mountains, valleys, crooked roads, and rough places can be overcome triumphantly. This happens through pondering/meditating on God’s Word — the covenant will of God in your redemption in Christ Jesus concerning your subject matter. Based on belief plus faith in the Word, led by the Holy Spirit, your way is made for prosperity and good success [Joshua 1:8-9; Psalm 1:1-3]. God’s plan in famine is to give wisdom to excel, be satisfied, stay above odds, and sustain/prosper you Himself [Job 5:20; Psalm 33:19; Psalm 37:19].
  4. The Isaac pattern: Dare to believe → Act → Become
Isaac refused Egypt. When the opportunity to act on God’s Word appeared during crisis, he acted on the covenant will of God concerning him. He became just as the covenant Isaac became great, distinguished, and envied for God’s blessing [Gen 26:13-14]. Dare to believe God’s Word, act on it in faith, and you will become.
  5. The traffic-light principle for waiting
If you’re at the Red Light of life: stop, pause, and ponder the Word of grace. Through the Amber Light: wait patiently. When the Green Light of Faith shows up: go and become as led by the Holy Spirit in His Word [Gen 26:12-16]. God is not unrighteous to forget your work [Heb 6:10]. Stay diligent, not slothful, and imitate those who through faith plus patience inherit promises [Heb 6:11-12].
  6. The courage declaration
Upon knowledge and understanding of God’s Word in scriptural context, become a partaker of God’s blessedness in Christ Jesus. Be strong and very courageous in the Lord, because your victory and triumph are certain. It is your right in grace, in Christ Jesus, just as Scripture declares [Joshua 1:6-9; Isaiah 40:3-5].

Closing prayer
It is my wishes and prayers for you today that you may experience the blessedness of God in times of challenge in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

Scriptures to ponder: 2 Corinthians 4:6, Hebrews 10:35-39, Isaiah 40:3-5.

DARE TO BELIEVE AND BELONG IN ORDER TO BECOME

June 7, 2026 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

DARE TO BELIEVE AND BELONG IN ORDER TO BECOME: FOR NO WORD – NO FAITH, IF YOU MUST FUNCTION TO BECOME!

“But as many as RECEIVED him, to them gave he POWER to BECOME the sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE on his name: 13 which were BORN, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the WORD was made flesh [human – tangible], and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of GRACE and TRUTH” John 1:12-14.

It’s time for you to – DARE TO BELIEVE – as you BELONG in the faith, in order for you to BECOME by God’s WORD, in EVERYWAY, in God’s BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus stead. Amen. Many times, I have seen Church folks being very sceptical about full dedication and commitment to God’s WORD and to His work in His Church; and yet they want the FULLNESS of God’s POWER and GRACE to FUNCTION and BECOME in every way in LIFE and GODLINESS.

Most reasons are simply FEAR PHOBIA that they may lose out if they make such acts of dedication and commitment. And unfortunately, their scepticism has not made them better in spite of their despising God’s WORD and His Church.

“For this is the LOVE of God, that we KEEP his COMMANDMENTS: and his commandments are not GRIEVOUS [IRKSOME, BURDENSOME, TASKMASTER]. 4 For whatsoever is BORN of God OVERCOMES the world: and this is the VICTORY that OVERCOMES the world, even our FAITH. 5 Who is he that OVERCOMES the world, but he that BELIEVES that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:3-5.

I make BOLD to say that God is GOOD and FAITHFUL, TRUE and SURE to His WORD and PROMISES, and will NEVER fail and CAN’T and WON’T begin to FAIL because of YOU right now. And FAITH is only made active to bring results when it FUNCTIONS by the WORD – [Romans 10:17]. Faith in Christ Jesus is of the WORD. FAITH IS NOT A DOCTRINE and neither a doctrinal nor denominational creed and religious dogmas that is just there to be known. And God’s promises are always on a YES and an AMEN when you apply it in context within the grace.

“But as God is FAITHFUL, our word to you was not YES and NO. 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was PREACHED among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not YES and NO, but in Him was YES. 20 For all the PROMISES of God in Him are YES, and in Him AMEN, to the GLORY of God through us” 2 Corinthians 1:18-20/NKJV.

Faith is the Believer’s in Christ Jesus life-access and justified essence in grace with God. Faith is ACTING correspondingly on what you believe of God’s WORD. BELIEVING is PASSIVE, while FAITH is ACTIVE. BELIEVING is the CONCEPTION and CONSEQUENCE of what you HEAR of God’s WORD, while FAITH is the action upon that conception and consequence of the hearing, to bring it into reality accordingly. Meaning:  NO FAITH means NO access and essence for God to reward one’s endeavours to FUNCTION and BECOME in God.

“But WITHOUT FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to PLEASE Him, for he who comes to God must BELIEVE that He is, and that He is a REWARDER of those who DILIGENTLY [CONSISTENTLY, STEADFASTLY, SMARTLY] seek Him” Hebrews 11:6/NKJV.

And to FUNCTION and BECOME in God, one needs to ensure that he BELIEVE in Christ Jesus and BELONG to His Church with a daring spirit and not fear-phobia, in LIFE and GODLINESS. And you can then FUNCTION and BECOME what you BELIEVE for in God’s WORD by God’s POWER and GRACE in Christ Jesus. Amen.

I PRAY YOU DARE TO BELIEVE IN ORDER TO BECOME IN LIFE AND GODLY LIVING IN CHRIST JESUS STEAD. AMEN

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“But as many as RECEIVED him, to them gave he POWER to BECOME the sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE on his name: 13 which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of GRACE and TRUTH” John 1:12-14.

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous (irksome, burdensome, taskmaster).

30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it” Matthew 9:27-30.

SUMMARY:

The whole message is built on John 1:12-14:
“AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM… TO THEM GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, EVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ON HIS NAME.”
Main point: You don’t become by struggle. You become by BELIEVING + BELONGING, because the WORD gives you POWER TO BECOME. No Word = No Faith = No Function.

6 Key Doctrinal Pillars:

  1. DARE TO BELIEVE, BELONG, BECOME
Title + Charge: DARE TO BELIEVE AND BELONG IN ORDER TO BECOME. “Believe” is your personal faith. “Belong” is commitment to Christ + His Church. “Become” is the result by God’s Word. IN EVERY WAY, IN LIFE AND GODLINESS, IN GOD’S BLESSEDNESS.
  2. The Skepticism Warning
The message exposes why many believers don’t function: FEAR-PHOBIA of losing out if they fully dedicate/commit to God’s Word + Church. Irony: their scepticism/despising God’s Word has not made them better. You can’t get FULLNESS OF GOD’S POWER AND GRACE without full dedication.
  3. Faith = Active, Believe = Passive
BELIEVING IS PASSIVE – it’s the conception/consequence of hearing God’s Word.
FAITH IS ACTIVE – it’s acting correspondingly on what you believe to bring it into reality.
Meaning: NO FAITH = NO ACCESS + NO ESSENCE for God to reward your endeavours. Hebrews 11:6: WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM… HE IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM.
  4. Faith is NOT Religion
FAITH IS NOT A DOCTRINE NOR DENOMINATIONAL CREED NOR RELIGIOUS DOGMA. Faith in Christ Jesus is OF THE WORD [Romans 10:17]. It’s active dependence on God’s Word, not just mental assent or church culture.
  5. God’s Word = YES and AMEN
2 Corinthians 1:18-20: ALL THE PROMISES OF GOD IN HIM ARE YES, AND IN HIM AMEN. God is GOOD, FAITHFUL, TRUE, SURE to His Word. He WILL NEVER FAIL AND CANNOT BEGIN TO FAIL BECAUSE OF YOU RIGHT NOW. When you apply promises within grace, they produce.
  6. Victory Mechanism
1 John 5:3-5: THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS… WHATSOEVER IS BORN OF GOD OVERCOMES THE WORLD: AND THIS IS THE VICTORY THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD, EVEN OUR FAITH. Commandments are not grievous. Victory comes by faith in the Son of God.

The Matthew 9:27-30 Proof:

“BELIEVE YE THAT I AM ABLE TO DO THIS?” … “ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH BE IT UNTO YOU.”
Jesus ties results directly to faith level. Believing He can + acting on it = eyes opened. (Produces result)

The Charge + Benediction:

AND TO FUNCTION AND BECOME IN GOD, ONE NEEDS TO ENSURE THAT HE BELIEVES IN CHRIST JESUS AND BELONGS TO HIS CHURCH WITH A DARING SPIRIT AND NOT FEAR-PHOBIA.
Then you FUNCTION AND BECOME WHAT YOU BELIEVE FOR IN GOD’S WORD BY GOD’S POWER AND GRACE IN CHRIST JESUS.

GREATER LOVE IN CHRIST JESUS

June 7, 2026 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

GREATER LOVE IN CHRIST JESUS: IT’S MADE POSSIBLE AND PERFECTED BY ABIDING IN GOD’S LOVE!

“Herein is our LOVE made PERFECT (COMPLETE, WHOLE, MATURE, TOTAL), that we may have BOLDNESS in the day of JUDGMENT (QUESTIONING; CHALLENGE): BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. 18 There is no FEAR in LOVE; but PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR, because FEAR involves TORMENT. But he who FEARS has not been MADE PERFECT IN LOVE” 1 John 4:17-18 Emphasis Mine.

God’s GREATER LOVE is already perfected and made complete in you in Christ Jesus. I pray you know it and stop all the worries that nobody loves you. God’s love is shed lavishly and strongly in your hearts by the abiding Holy Spirit that dwells within you, knowingly or unknowingly.

“And hope maketh not ashamed; BECAUSE THE LOVE OF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS by the Holy Ghost which is GIVEN unto us” Romans 5:5.

And the graciously gracious and gracefully graceful way to kick start each day and the week is to know and understand that God loves you and wants you to ABIDE the more in His LOVE by His WORD.

“If ye ABIDE in me, and MY WORDS ABIDE in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; ABIDE IN MY LOVE. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will ABIDE IN MY LOVE, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and ABIDE IN HIS LOVE” John 15:7-10.

ABIDING makes God’s love and joy PERFECTED in you. It causes your being to live and walk in God’s LOVE today – for LOVE is the greatest. For God’s PERFECTED LOVE drives out fear, hatred, mistrust, all forms of inferiority complex, evil and wickedness.

I pray you have a graciously gracious week of perfected love. For perfected love produces perfected praise. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“Herein is OUR LOVE MADE PERFECT, that we may have BOLDNESS in the day of judgment: BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD. 18 There is no FEAR IN LOVE; BUT PERFECT LOVE CASTETH OUT FEAR: because FEAR HATH TORMENT. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also” 1 John 4:17-21.

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; ABIDE IN MY LOVE. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will ABIDE IN MY LOVE, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and ABIDE IN HIS LOVE. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 GREATER LOVE has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” John 15:9-13.

SUMMARY:

The whole message centres on 1 John 4:17-18, John 15:9-10, Romans 5:5.
Main point: God’s perfected love is not something you’re struggling to earn. It’s ALREADY MADE COMPLETE IN YOU IN CHRIST JESUS through the indwelling Holy Spirit. “As He is, so are we in this world.”

5 Key Truths Taught:

  1. Perfection = Completion, not Flawlessness
“PERFECT (COMPLETE, WHOLE, MATURE, TOTAL)” – God’s love in you is mature and finished. That perfection gives BOLDNESS on judgment day because you’re identified with Christ.
  2. Fear vs Love
THERE IS NO FEAR IN LOVE; PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR because fear = torment. If fear is present, it means we haven’t fully grasped that we’re already perfected in love. 1 John 4:20-21 adds: you can’t love God you don’t see if you hate your brother you do see.
  3. Love Shed Abroad by the Holy Spirit
Romans 5:5: THE LOVE OF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY GHOST. Whether you “know it or unknowingly” – the Spirit dwells in you and lavishly pours God’s love into you. Romans 5:8: God commended His love while we were still sinners.
  4. Abiding is the Key
John 15:7-10,13: ABIDE IN MY LOVE like Christ abided in the Father’s love. Abiding = keeping His commandments + letting His Word remain in you. Result: your joy is full, you bear fruit, and you’re empowered to lay down your life for others. GREATER LOVE HAS NO ONE THAN THIS.
  5. Love Produces
PERFECTED LOVE PRODUCES PERFECTED PRAISE. When you walk in abiding love, it destroys fear, hatred, mistrust, inferiority complex, evil, wickedness. Love becomes your daily walk: LOVE IS THE GREATEST [1 Cor 13:13].

The Charge / Application:

AND THE GRACIOUSLY GRACIOUS WAY TO KICK START EACH DAY AND WEEK IS TO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THAT GOD LOVES YOU AND WANTS YOU TO ABIDE THE MORE IN HIS LOVE BY HIS WORD.
So the instruction is: Stop worrying “nobody loves you”. Switch your focus daily to knowing and understanding God’s love. Abide more by His Word.

Tone & Purpose:

This isn’t just teaching. It’s a prayer plus benediction. The message is praying that readers should enter a week where perfected love becomes their experience, not just theology.

The BLESSED written WORD

June 7, 2026 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

The BLESSED written WORD: Empowered by The EMPOWERING Holy Spirit of PROMISE!

“BLESSED [EMPOWERED] is he that READETH, and they that HEAR the WORDS of this PROPHECY, and keep those things which are WRITTEN therein: for the time is at hand” Revelation 1:3/Emphasis Mine.

The WORD of God is BLESSED and every written and spoken WORD is life and living [life-giving, life-saving, life-assuring, life-ensuring and more] – and can be reached, loved, lived, depended on and more importantly, God personified in Christ Jesus [John 6:63; Hebrews 4:12-13; John 1:1-5, 14]. However, for the purpose of context, you have to know that it is not God who is always speaking in the BLESSED written word of The Holy BIBLE [BLESSED INFORMATION BRINGING LIFE ETERNAL]; but whatever was written in all is authentic and accurately recorded and documented by the empowering of the Holy Spirit upon and through them by which the BLESSED written WORD was assigned to be written – and it’ is irrespective of time, place, generation or dispensation in all matters of life and godly living. And it’s to give hope and assurance in the will and counsel of grace toward God in Christ Jesus. Amen.

“We have also a more SURE WORD of PROPHECY; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 knowing this first, that NO PROPHECY of the scripture is of any PRIVATE INTERPRETATION. 21 For the PROPHECY came not in old time by the WILL of man: but HOLY men of God SPAKE as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” 2 Peter 1:29-21.

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were WRITTEN for our learning, that we through PATIENCE and COMFORT of the SCRIPTURES might have hope. 5 Now the God of PATIENCE and CONSOLATION grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 that ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” Romans 15:4-6.

“But CONTINUE thou in the things which thou hast LEARNED and hast been ASSURED of, KNOWING of whom thou hast learned them; 15 and that from a child thou hast known the HOLY SCRIPTURES, which are ABLE to make thee WISE unto SALVATION through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All SCRIPTURE is given by INSPIRATION of God, and is PROFITABLE for DOCTRINE, for REPROOF, for CORRECTION, for INSTRUCTION in righteousness: 17 that the man of God may be PERFECT, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” 2 Timothy 3:14-17.

And the Holy Writ of God is written by inspiration, revelation and empowerment of God’s enabling – which is only possible by the Holy Spirit of promise, who is of the triune [trinity] God, who oversees the written writ through time, place, generation and dispensation. [1 John 5:7; 2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Timothy 3:15-17]. And just as in creation, His [Holy Spirit] presence brought about the excellent, beautiful and wonderful creation that all mankind can today and always behold as they make a living worth with gratitude to creator even without knowing the fulness of how God’s wonderful work in creation came to be and for them to be able to comprehend it all in manifestation [Genesis 1:1-4; Revelation 4:11; Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11; Psalms 139:10-18].

“By faith [that is, with an inherent trust and enduring confidence in the power, wisdom and goodness of God] we understand that the worlds (universe, ages) were FRAMED and CREATED [formed, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose] by the WORD of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible” Hebrews 11:3/AMP.

“For THE WORD of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And not a creature exists that is CONCEALED from His sight, but all things are open and EXPOSED, and REVEALED to the eyes of Him with whom we have to give account” Hebrews 4:12-13/AMP.

And the Holy writ is the only written document that addresses matters of the past, present and future among all written books in all humanity – and it is not subjected to time, place, generation or dispensation; and it is not and cannot be legislated in its dealings with all of mankind – irrespective; and the author of the Holy writ is the only and ever-present personality as author at the point of reading, to give you all the answers to context and purpose for what is written. And it’s profitable for all instruction, answering to the quests of all toward God and Christ Jesus for the human good and goodness. [Acts 20:20-21].

And those who spoke to the writing of the written word, were all inspired by the Holy Spirit. Thus indicating that the BLESSED word is an all-time empowering WORD because it was made possible by the empowering Holy Spirit. The BLESSED written WORD is a seed that answers all of humanity’s questions as one takes pleasure to be a DOER of the BLESSED WORD in order to be BLESSED indeed, rather than to be only a mere HEARER OF THE WORD.

“But be ye DOERS OF THE WORD, and NOT HEARERS ONLY, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any BE A HEARER OF THE WORD, and NOT A DOER, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be BLESSED in his deed” 1 James 1:22-25.

Therefore, if you want to ensure, enact and authenticate the assured BLESSEDNESS of God by the BLESSED word of God in resolving past, present and future enquiry of doing life and living godly, your pure access is in your fellowship with the BLESSED [EMPOWERING] Holy Spirit that answers to all – irrespective [and without prejudice, sentiments or dissimulation] of God’s promises to you and me for all humanity. [Galatians 3:13-14].

It is dangerous and disastrous for any to access and bring out answers from the Holy Writ, in order to give a purposeful, meaningful and fulfilling effect, without the presence of the author and interpreter and translator of His WORD while He is ever ready and available to honour it. That is why we are instructed to this day and always not to be deceived by any who refuse to be examined as whether their interpretation or translation of the Holy writ has the Holy Spirit’s bearing in order to safeguard against distortion, dilution and adulteration of such context in question. [1 Corinthians 14:26-33; Acts 17:10-12; Philippians 1:15-18].

It is my earnest PRAYER that you get engrossed with the written word by the Holy Spirit, the ever-present author of the written word, so that you receive the needed inspiration, revelation and empowerment to make you function and become of God in Christ Jesus. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“We have also a more SURE WORD of PROPHECY; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 knowing this first, that NO PROPHECY of the scripture is of any PRIVATE INTERPRETATION. 21 For the PROPHECY came not in old time by the WILL of man: but HOLY men of God SPAKE as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” 2 Peter 1:29-21.

“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by INSPIRATION of God, and is PROFITABLE for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works” 2 Timothy 3:15-17.

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope” Romans 15:4.

SUMMARY:

This is a doctrinal exposition on the nature, authority, and operation of the Written Word of God through the Holy Spirit. The text is structured in 4 movements:

  1. Authority and Nature of Scripture

Scripture is declared “The Empowered Word” — authoritative, living, and operative. It is described as:

  • Living and active, sharper than a two-edged sword [Heb 4:12]
  • God-breathed, profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction [2 Tim 3:16]
  • Without error and without private interpretation [2 Pet 1:20-21]

The Word is “without error and without private interpretation” [2 Pet 1:20-21]. The message emphasises that while not every verse is a direct quote of God speaking, every verse is God-breathed and without error because the Holy Spirit superintended (oversees) its writing [2 Pet 1:21]. It is timeless — transcending time, culture, and dispensation — and remains the only book that speaks authoritatively into past, present, and future [2 Tim 3:16].

  1. The Holy Spirit as Author and Operator

The Holy Spirit is “The Empowered One” behind Scripture. He is:

Author – He inspired holy men to write [2 Pet 1:21]

Interpreter – He alone explains what He inspired [1 Cor 2:13]

Operator – He makes the Word alive and effective in the believer [Heb 4:12]

The message warns that handling Scripture without the Holy Spirit leads to error, manipulation, and spiritual damage [2 Cor 3:6]. The “blessedness” of Scripture is accessed only through the Spirit’s illumination [John 6:63].

  1. Purpose and Application of the Word

The Word is functional, not just informational. Its purpose is:
Revelation – Makes God and His will known [John 17:17]
Regeneration – Produces new birth and transformation [1 Pet 1:23]
Instruction – Equips the believer for every good work [2 Tim 3:17]
Protection – Guards against error and deception [Eph 6:17]

Believers are commanded to be “doers of the Word, not hearers only” [James 1:22]. The Word is described as seed [Luke 8:11] that produces blessedness when acted upon. Without application, knowledge puffs up [1 Cor 8:1].

  1. Access and Warning

Access to the power of Scripture is through intimacy with the Holy Spirit, not academic study alone [John 16:13]. The message gives a strong warning: manipulating Scripture for personal agendas is dangerous and will be judged [Rev 22:18-19]. It calls believers to “rightly divide” the Word [2 Tim 2:15] under the Spirit’s guidance, and to test every teaching against Scripture [Acts 17:11].

Closing Charge:
The message ends with a benediction — a prayer that believers would be immersed in the Word by the Spirit until Christ is formed in them [Gal 4:19]. The Word is not just doctrine; it is Christ Himself revealed [John 1:1, 14].

Key Scriptures Used: Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, John 6:63, James 1:22, Acts 17:11.
