BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND: IT HELPS TO ENACT THE GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT WILL OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS STEAD! 

“. . . 2] And do not be CONFORMED to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be TRANSFORMED and PROGRESSIVELY CHANGED [as you mature spiritually] by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may PROVE [for yourselves] what the WILL of God is, that which is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT [in His PLAN and PURPOSE for you]” Romans 12:1-2/Amplified. 

In Christ Jesus, being TRANSFORMED — otherwise being TRANSFIGURED — is about taking what you ARE in God that is POTENTIALLY present [potential energy] and making it KINETICALLY active. 

It thus means ensuring that the change in our spiritual state of possession becomes tangible in our physical state of possession; for the physical state indicates that the essence is tangible and real, so that it can be — liveable, reachable, lovable, touchable and more of such like state. 

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are CHANGED into the same image from GLORY TO GLORY, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” 2 Corinthians 3:18. 

In Christ Jesus, by virtue of our redemption, we ARE BLESSED, empowered as a possession to succeed, triumph, overcome, and to be more than a conqueror. 

And we ARE given possession in the grace, which is firstly SPIRITUAL — otherwise located in the HEAVENLY treasure places; and the blessedness IS embedded and synchronised in our spirit-being of articulations, as per our being seated in the HEAVENLY places in Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit that indwells in us. 

And by the Holy Spirit that SEALS us, APPROPRIATES us, ESTABLISHES us, CERTIFIES us, GUARANTEES us and such like more, we can be ASSURED to become and be becoming as written: 

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath BLESSED [EMPOWERED] us with all SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in HEAVENLY PLACES in Christ . . . [20] which he wrought in Christ, when He RAISED Him from the dead, and SET Him at his own RIGHT HAND in the HEAVENLY PLACES ” Ephesians 1:3, 20. 

“And hath RAISED us up together, and MADE us sit together in HEAVENLY PLACES in Christ Jesus” Ephesians 2:6. 

“Now it is God who establishes and confirms us [in joint fellowship] with you in Christ, and who has ANOINTED us [EMPOWERING us with the gifts of the Spirit]; [22] it is He who has also put His SEAL on us [that is, He has APPROPRIATED us and CERTIFIED us as His] and has given us the [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as a pledge [like a SECURITY DEPOSIT to GUARANTEE the fulfillment of His PROMISE of eternal life]” 2 Corinthians 1:21-22/Amplified. 

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: [20] but lay up for yourselves TREASURES IN HEAVEN, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: [21] for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” Matthew 5:19-22. Our being transformed, otherwise transfigured, [but not refurbished or reformed], enables the Heavenly places possession to become tangible for our earthly sphere possession — which as such, becomes our reality to reach, live, touch, feel and become it, in total, complete, whole, and in maturity, in our doing life and living godly in the grace. 

And in our REDEMPTION, we ARE: 

  • Redeemed 
  • Being Redeemed 
  • Shall Be Redeemed 

And in the same scenario, on matters of transformation: 

  • We ARE Transformed. 
  • We ARE Being Transformed 
  • We SHALL Be Transformed. 

And the act or process of being TRANSFORMED [transformation], is what makes who you ARE and what you possess in Christ Jesus become a reality — tangible, reachable, loveable, touchable, liveable and more. 

And the act or process of securing, enacting and authenticating that assured possession in transformation is by RENEWING YOUR MIND – otherwise called being RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF YOUR MIND – in the context of Romans 12:1-2 and Ephesians 4:22-24 as written: 

“Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship. [2] And do not be CONFORMED to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be TRANSFORMED and PROGRESSIVELY CHANGED [as you mature spiritually] by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may PROVE [for yourselves] what the WILL of God is, that which is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT [in His plan and purpose for you]” Romans 12:1-2/Amplified. 

“That ye PUT OFF concerning the former CONVERSATION [CONDUCT, BEHAVIOUR] the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; [23] and BE RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF YOUR MIND; [24] and that ye PUT ON the NEW MAN, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness” Ephesians 4:22-24. 

Herein, but not limited to, is the WHAT in Christ Jesus that POTENTIALLY we ARE, HAVE, or BECOME in the grace. For He has: 

  • REDEEMED us 
  • Washed us 
  • Saved us 
  • Called us 
  • Predestined us 
  • Translated us 
  • Justified us 
  • Glorified us 
  • Blessed us 
  • Loved us 
  • Sanctified us 
  • Converged us 
  • Forgiven us 
  • Delivered us 
  • Transferred us 
  • Qualified us 
    … and such like the more 

And RENEWING our mind – otherwise called being RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF OUR MIND – entails: To extend the validity of something, or to make something new, fresh, and strong again. Like renewing vigour, or granting an extension for something — to make it valid for a further period. The end of which is to ensure WHOLENESS. 

The act of SPIRITUAL RENEWAL [renewing the spirit of the mind] means revitalising, refreshing, restoring, rejuvenating one’s spiritual life and relationship with God in Christ Jesus. 
It involves a deeper connection to one’s faith, a transformation of the heart and mind, and a renewed commitment to spiritual practices – leading to a more vibrant and effective spiritual journey. 
This process can be PERSONAL [individual], or it can occur at a COLLECTIVE level within a community [the Church] with common goals. 

This is not refurbishing or reformation per se, but a complete act of change that’s progressive in becoming and in actualising the graciousness and gracefulness of God in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

SOME KEY ASPECTS OF SPIRITUAL MIND RENEWAL [RENEWING OF THE MIND] In Terms Of: 

  • REVITALISATION AND REJUVENATION: It is the process of bringing new life, energy, and strength to the SPIRIT-BEING, which may have become weakened or worn down. 
  • DEEPENED FAITH: A spiritual renewal often involves a more profound understanding of spiritual truths and a greater commitment to one’s faith. 
  • TRANSFORMATION: It brings about a fundamental change in one’s heart and mind, aligning them with scriptural beliefs and values. 
  • ACTIVE PARTICIPATION: The concept often includes reviving spiritual practices and engaging in actions that reflect one’s faith within scriptural context. 
  • CONNECTION WITH GOD: In many scriptural contexts, it involves a renewed and strengthened relationship with God – experiencing His presence, guidance, and peace. 
  • COMMUNITY IMPACT: For Church communities, spiritual renewal can also mean a collective spiritual awakening – a return to the true form of faith in the Lord. 

THE WHOLE ESSENCE of RENEWING YOUR MIND, otherwise BEING RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF YOUR MIND, is to help you discern and articulate THE GOOD, THE ACCEPTABLE, AND PERFECT WILL OF GOD in our redemption in the grace. 

This act of regeneration and renewing is a direct consequence of the KNOWLEDGE of God in any CONTEXT that you require in order to BE TRANSFORMED to fulfil purpose in the grace. 

And it is also by the HOLY SPIRIT OF RENEWING that we PROGRESS DAY BY DAY in our being transformed to become a living Epistle and testament of God’s promises. 

And the outcome of the renewing of our mind [being renewed in the spirit of our mind] is that we are changed FROM GLORY TO GLORY – in order to actualise the full and meaningful life of God in Christ Jesus in the grace. 

“And have PUT ON the NEW MAN, which is RENEWED IN KNOWLEDGE after the image of him that CREATED him: [11] where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all” Colossians 3:10-11. 

“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE of God, and of Jesus our Lord, [3] according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: [4] whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” 2 Peter 1:2-4. 

“Therefore we do not become discouraged [spiritless, disappointed, or afraid]. Though our OUTER SELF is [progressively] wasting away, yet our INNER SELF is being [progressively] RENEWED DAY BY DAY. [17] For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]! [18] So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18/Amplified. 

“But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, [5] not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of REGENERATION, and RENEWING of the Holy Ghost” Titus 3:4-5. 

I hereby compel you by the mercies in the grace of God, to take on a daily step of Faith through this month and moment and beyond, in an onward and upward trajectory, to know that as you are “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” in the grace, in Christ Jesus’ stead, you will ACTUALISE the good, acceptable and perfect [whole, complete, total and matured] will of God, to enable you to thrive and not be in survival anymore through ignorance, as you do life and live godly in the grace, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

And by this Month, as you follow to read and explore the other teaching posts [publications], may our good and faithful, true and sure God, give you the enabling grace and access to know His good, acceptable and perfect will, for you in His eternal purpose on earth. 

And may you come to know what and why this is so relevant for you in the NOW – and all about GOD’S FULNESS; and in the course of the expository teaching and preaching — to ensure your redemption rights and privileges, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that ye may prove what is that GOOD, and ACCEPTABLE, and PERFECT, WILL of God” Romans 12:1-2.

[20] Now then, we are AMBASSADORS for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. [21] For He MADE Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might BECOME the righteousness of God in Him” 2 Corinthians 5:17-21/NKJV. 

 
SUMMARY 
The message is a call to every believer in Christ Jesus to be progressively TRANSFORMED/TRANSFIGURED by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, so that the spiritual possessions we have in Him become tangible, lived reality, and we can PROVE and ACTUALISE the GOOD, ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT will of God in our daily lives.

Key Points: 

  1. THE BIBLICAL MANDATE FOR TRANSFORMATION 
    “Do not be CONFORMED to this world… but be TRANSFORMED and PROGRESSIVELY CHANGED by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” Romans 12:1-2. 
    This is so that we may PROVE what the will of God is — that which is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT.
  2. FROM POTENTIAL TO KINETIC IN CHRIST 
    In Christ, being TRANSFORMED means making what you ARE of God POTENTIALLY [potential energy], become KINETICALLY [kinetic energy]. 
    Our spiritual state of possession in the HEAVENLY places must become tangible in our physical state — liveable, reachable, lovable, touchable 2 Corinthians 3:18.
  3. OUR POSSESSION IN REDEMPTION 
    By virtue of redemption we ARE: Redeemed, Washed, Saved, Called, Predestined, Justified, Glorified, Blessed, and more. 
    We have been BLESSED with all SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in HEAVENLY PLACES Ephesians 1:3. 
    The Holy Spirit SEALS us, APPROPRIATES us, ESTABLISHES us, CERTIFIES us, and GUARANTEES us 2 Corinthians 1:21-22.
  4. THE PROCESS: RENEWING THE MIND, NOT REFURBISHING 
    Transformation is secured by RENEWING YOUR MIND / BEING RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF YOUR MIND Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:23. 
    This means: PUT OFF the old man, PUT ON the new man Ephesians 4:22-24. 
    It is revitalising, refreshing, restoring and rejuvenating our spirit-being. It deepens faith, aligns heart and mind with Scripture, and strengthens our connection with God.
  5. THE OUTCOME: GLORY TO GLORY AND FULFILMENT OF PURPOSE 
    Renewing the mind enables us to articulate and ACTUALISE God’s will, and to thrive instead of merely surviving in ignorance. 
    It makes us living Epistles and testaments of God’s promises, changing us from GLORY to GLORY 2 Corinthians 3:18. 
    It happens both personally and corporately [Church community].
  6. STATES OF REDEMPTION AND TRANSFORMATION 
    In REDEMPTION: We ARE Redeemed. We ARE Being Redeemed. We SHALL Be Redeemed. 
    In TRANSFORMATION: We ARE Transformed. We ARE Being Transformed. We SHALL Be Transformed.

Call to Action: 

  1. COMPELLED TO DAILY FAITH: I hereby compel you by the mercies in the grace of God, to take on a daily step of Faith through this month and moment and beyond, in an onward and upward trajectory.
  2. RENEW YOUR MIND INTENTIONALLY: Present your bodies as a living sacrifice and refuse conformity. Focus on godly values and ethical attitudes so your mind is renewed. 
  3. ENGAGE THE TEACHING: Follow and explore the other teaching posts on the month theme — “BEING TRANSFORMED [TRANSFIGURED] BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” — to receive enabling grace and access to know God’s will for you in His eternal purpose.

Hello CHRISTIAN Men – WORDS Matters: Keep Speaking GRACIOUS WORDS To Your Wife And Other Women Out THERE In Your Life! 

“You are SNARED by THE WORDS OF YOUR MOUTH; you are TAKEN by THE WORDS OF YOUR MOUTH” Proverbs 6:2/NKJV. 

“HOLD FAST the FORM of SOUND WORDS, which thou hast heard of me, in FAITH and LOVE which is in Christ Jesus. 14 That GOOD THING which was committed unto thee KEEP by the Holy Ghost which DWELLETH in us” 2 Timothy 1:13-14. 

Are you a godly, Spirit-filled and hearted man? 

And if YES, are you speaking gracious WORDS towards others, especially towards your wife and the women around you? 
Or are you a mean, childish, loose-mouthed boy-man who speaks OUTRAGEOUS and DEPRAVED words to your wife and to other women in your life sphere? 

Have you ever considered that as a man, WORDS MATTER, and that any OUTRAGEOUS, DEMEANING and DEROGATORY words are very much unnecessary, no matter the level of provocation THE woman may have caused? 

Do you know or realise that you are the CUSTODIAN of what you say — be it good or evil, especially as a Christian man? 

Do you know for sure that it is out of the NURSERY and NURSED WORDS in your heart that your mouth speaks — be it good or evil? 

And God hears. He is listening and noting it, to define whether you are of His image in grace or of another. 

“For every TREE is KNOWN by his own FRUIT. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 45 A GOOD MAN OUT OF THE GOOD TREASURE OF HIS HEART BRINGETH FORTH THAT WHICH IS GOOD; and an EVIL man out of the EVIL treasure of his HEART bringeth FORTH that which is EVIL: FOR OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART HIS MOUTH SPEAKETH” Luke 6:44-45. 

“Let no CORRUPT communication PROCEED out of your MOUTH, but that which is GOOD to the use of EDIFYING, that it may MINISTER GRACE unto the HEARERS” Ephesians 4:29/Amplified. 

As I picture Jesus Christ this morning, the author and finisher of our FAITH in God, I recall over and over again in SCRIPTURAL CONTEXT how He spoke and answered in many matters that would have made Him have an outburst. [Hebrews 12:2; Hebrews 1:1-4] 

The graciousness and gracefulness of His choice of words calmed matters and sent the ENEMY and COHORTS to flight for the good of OTHERS around Him. 

Even at the very temperamental point of testing in His life, He was gracious to the end. 

“And ALL BARE HIM (JESUS CHRIST) WITNESS, and wondered at the GRACIOUS WORDS which PROCEEDED out of his MOUTH. And THEY SAID, is not THIS Joseph’s son?” Luke 4:22/Emphasis Mine. 

“Hereafter I WILL NOT TALK MUCH WITH YOU: for the PRINCE of this world cometh, and HATH NOTHING in me” John 14:30. 

“The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and TEMPTING desired him that He would shew them a sign from heaven . . .” Matthew 16:1-4  / [Mathew 19:3; Matthew 22:35; Mark 8:11; Mark 10:2; Luke 11:16; John 8:6]. 

And as one privileged under God to Pastor and Shepherd in His grace and BLESSEDNESS, when I hear from women how some of the men in their lives speak to them, you wonder what harm is being done over time. 

This I hear and notice, especially towards wives and the women around them — and the constant speaking to these women [especially wives, daughters etc] in a demeaning and derogatory way is becoming appalling in every way on each and every given day. 

Just because you cannot see eye to eye on some COMMON issues does not mean you cannot be civil and maintain a sense of civility in God’s graciousness and gracefulness in the grace. 

And except there is an element of scriptural ignorance, which makes me wonder if we sincerely do know and understand, when the Scripture says we share the same common enabling grace to do life on earth and live godly towards God the Father in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

I just want to let you know now, dearly beloved brother in Christ Jesus, that WORDS MATTER; hence, every man especially should seek WISDOM on how and when to speak, especially when addressing your wife or other women around you, irrespective of what is at stake at such a time of indifference. 

“WALK in WISDOM toward them that are without, redeeming the time. 6 Let your SPEECH be alway with GRACE, SEASONED with salt, that ye may KNOW how ye OUGHT to ANSWER every man” Colossians 4:5-6. 

” . . . 7 Likewise, ye husbands, DWELL with them ACCORDING to KNOWLEDGE, giving HONOUR unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as BEING HEIRS TOGETHER OF THE GRACE OF LIFE; THAT YOUR PRAYERS BE NOT HINDERED. 8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: BUT CONTRARIWISE BLESSING; KNOWING THAT YE ARE THEREUNTO CALLED, THAT YE SHOULD INHERIT A BLESSING. 10 For he that will LOVE life, and SEE GOOD days, let him REFRAIN HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL, and HIS LIPS that they SPEAK NO GUILE: 11 let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is AGAINST them that do evil” 1 Peter 3:1-12. 

More so, it is a great act of wisdom to know and understand, especially when having differences, to always separate the ISSUES under discussion from the Person. 
THE ISSUES IN DISCUSSION AND THE PERSON ARE NOT THE SAME. 

So when you have conflict over ISSUES, do not MAKE it into a Person’s or PERSONAL attack, name calling and such like — simply because the common issue under discussion has not been resolved to anyone’s satisfactory desire. 

It is my earnest passion that you may ALWAYS remember this concept explained in context below from today FORWARD, as we move towards an ONWARD and UPWARD trajectory for the good and health of our relationship: 

“IT’S SMALL, MEAN SPIRITED AND HEARTED MINDS THAT TALK ABOUT PERSONS; WHILE BIG, GOOD SPIRITED AND HEARTED WISE MINDS TALK ABOUT THE ISSUES IN CONTEXT AND NOT ABOUT THE PERSON” – Chukie MORSI Snr. 

It is not in my place to be specific, but if you think you are a GODLY man that eschews EVIL WORDS from your MOUTH and not a CHILDISH boy-man that is acting out; then can you be mindful of how you speak to your wife and the God-given women in your life, both in private and public settings? For WORDS matter in God’s kingdom affairs for the godly in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

Therefore, I plead with you today to SPEAK wellness and WHOLENESS in order to LIVE well and whole. 
You can live healthily and whole by your WORDS for your own self good and goodness, and for all around you too — be they male and female — and more especially, to your wife and women within your reach. 

Have an awesome and blessed day with GRACIOUS WORDS as the Lord Jesus Christ in His stead, in LIFE and GODLY LIVING. Amen.

“And ALL BARE HIM (JESUS CHRIST) WITNESS, and wondered at the GRACIOUS WORDS which PROCEEDED out of his MOUTH. And they said, Is not THIS Joseph’s son?” Luke 4:22/Emphasis Mine. 

“For even HEREUNTO were ye CALLED: because Christ also suffered for us, LEAVING us an EXAMPLE, that ye should FOLLOW his steps: 22 who did no sin, neither was GUILE FOUND IN HIS MOUTH: 23 who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously” 1 Peter 2:21-23. 

“For every TREE is KNOWN by his own FRUIT. SUMMARY 
The message is a pastoral exhortation to Christian men to guard their speech, especially towards their wives and the women in their lives, by speaking gracious, God-honouring words instead of outrageous, demeaning and derogatory words.

  1. WORDS HAVE POWER AND CONSEQUENCES 
    You are “SNARED” and “TAKEN” by the words of your mouth Proverbs 6:2. The tongue holds “DEATH and LIFE” Proverbs 18:21. God hears and notes every word to judge whether we reflect His image Luke 6:44-45.
  2. CHRIST IS OUR EXAMPLE OF GRACIOUS SPEECH 
    Even under testing, Jesus spoke gracious words that calmed matters and sent the enemy to flight Luke 4:22; Hebrews 12:2. He did not revile when reviled 1 Peter 2:22-23. We are called to “HOLD FAST the FORM of SOUND WORDS” 2 Timothy 1:13-14.
  3. A GODLY MAN IS A CUSTODIAN OF HIS WORDS 
    The issue is not just behaviour, but the heart. Out of the “NURSERY and NURSED WORDS” in your heart your mouth speaks. A good man brings forth good from the good treasure of his heart Luke 6:45. “Let no CORRUPT communication PROCEED out of your MOUTH” Ephesians 4:29.
  4. SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS WIVES AND WOMEN 
    There is growing concern about men speaking to wives, daughters and other women in demeaning and derogatory ways. Husbands are to “DWELL with them ACCORDING to KNOWLEDGE, giving HONOUR unto the wife” 1 Peter 3:7, so that your prayers are not hindered. To deal treacherously against the wife of your youth dishonours God Malachi 2:15.
  5. SEPARATE ISSUES FROM THE PERSON 
    Wisdom is to separate “THE ISSUES IN DISCUSSION AND THE PERSON”. Conflict over issues must not become personal attacks, name calling, or railing. “IT’S SMALL, MEAN SPIRITED AND HEARTED MINDS THAT TALK ABOUT PERSONS; WHILE BIG, GOOD SPIRITED AND HEARTED WISE MINDS TALK ABOUT THE ISSUES IN CONTEXT AND NOT ABOUT THE PERSON” — Chukie MORSI Snr.
  6. THE CALL TO WISDOM, GRACE AND BLESSING 
    “Let your SPEECH be always with GRACE, SEASONED with salt” Colossians 4:6. “not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: BUT CONTRARIWISE BLESSING” 1 Peter 3:9. The tongue can bless God and curse men, but “these things ought not so to be” James 3:9-10.

Call to Action: 

  1. EXAMINE YOURSELF: Are you a godly, Spirit-filled man? Check if your speech to your wife and other women is gracious or OUTRAGEOUS, DEMEANING and DEROGATORY. 
  2. SEEK WISDOM: Be intentional about HOW and WHEN you speak, especially in times of indifference or disagreement. 
  3. SPEAK WELL TO LIVE WELL: Choose to “SPEAK wellness and WHOLENESS” so you can “LIVE well and whole”. Use your words for your own good, for those around you, and more especially for your wife and the women within your reach. 
  4. FOLLOW CHRIST’S EXAMPLE: Emulate Jesus in graciousness and gracefulness in speech, even under provocation, so that you walk in LIFE and GODLY LIVING.

PRAYER is the Believer’s in Christ Jesus avenue of MINISTERING WORTHILY to the Lord in WORSHIP and SERVING Him ACCEPTABLY, while SEEKING His HEAVENLY endorsement and intervention in our EARTHLY affairs for good. 
It is also the Believer’s inescapable and supreme PURPOSE and task toward PERSONAL, NATIONAL and GLOBAL solutions to human needs, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast CREATED all things, and for thy PLEASURE they ARE and WERE created” Revelation 4:11. 

And there is nothing as lovely, awesome and amazing as knowing and understanding that your PRAYERS go before God’s throne of GRACE as INCENSE — a PERFUME, FRAGRANCE and AROMA of GRACIOUSNESS and GRACEFULNESS. 

And that He BREATHES in your acts of MINISTERING to Him in your WORSHIP and SERVICE in PRAYER; and the resultant effects are VOICES, THUNDERINGS, LIGHTNINGS, and an EARTHQUAKE. 

These METAPHORS indicate how powerful, effectual and awesome the results are that accompany your PRAYERS to HEAVEN for your EARTHLY affairs to be resolved effortlessly and without sweat. 

Therefore — NEVER get tired, burnt out, faint, give up and become wearisome in your PRAYERS. 

For PRAYER is FELLOWSHIP with God to enhance our RELATIONSHIP with Him. 

THINK about that every time you take any posture of PRAYER to express in word or in heart. 
Let the Lord’s name be magnified in your PRAYERS. 

The Lord is good and His mercies endure for evermore. 
May His grace and BLESSEDNESS abound the more upon you as you make PRAYER an inescapable and supreme task to meet the PERSONAL, NATIONAL and GLOBAL needs of humanity.

“Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 As they MINISTERED to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost SAID, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 And when they had FASTED and PRAYED, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away” Acts 13:1-3. 

“Let my PRAYER be set forth before thee as INCENSE; and the LIFTING UP OF MY HANDS as the EVENING SACRIFICE” Psalms 141:2.

OCCUPY TILL I COME – BY THE WORD: THE HOLY B-I-B-L-E [THE BLESSED-INFORMATION-BRINGING-LIFE-ETERNAL] – WILL HELP YOU! 

“For whatever was WRITTEN in earlier times was WRITTEN for our INSTRUCTION, so that through ENDURANCE and the ENCOURAGEMENT of the Scriptures we might have HOPE and OVERFLOW with CONFIDENCE in His PROMISES” Romans 15:4/Amplified. 

The Holy BIBLE — which is the written Word, the testament, the will and the covenant document of God to mankind — is the only place of ‘THE TRUTH’ that brings truthful information for transformation, and the knowledge for deliverance, complete freedom, restoration and emancipation to all, in God, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“As he spake these WORDS, many believed on him. 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which BELIEVED on him, If ye CONTINUE IN MY WORD, then are ye MY DISCIPLES INDEED; 32 and ye shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH shall MAKE YOU FREE” John 8:30-32. 

The Holy Bible may seem mysterious to some, but it is not a MYSTICAL book — it is the PRACTICAL book of inspiration, revelation and empowerment. 

It is not A TRUTH that you CONJURE, but THE TRUTH that you PRACTISE — in doing LIFE and LIVING GODLY by God’s enabling grace and BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

The WISDOM needed to effectively and purposefully accomplish the “Occupy Till I Come” concept, and make it tangible — real and material — is in THE WORD. 

And you cannot OCCUPY to overcome the WORLD system by the WORLD. Instead, you need the Faith system which is a consequence of THE WORD, that is powered by the WISDOM in THE WORD, to do life and godliness with ease, without sweat and prejudice. 

For a mere excellency of word does not overcome, but the wisdom of THE WORD helps one to live victorious, triumphant, more than a conqueror, and to be an overcomer in the world — that makes one to fully say, “I am accomplishing the concept instructed and ordered by the Lord God, to ‘OCCUPY TILL I COME’. 

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are CALLED in one body; and be ye thankful. 16 Let THE WORD of Christ dwell in you richly in ALL WISDOM; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye DO in WORD or DEED, DO ALL in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him” Colossians 3:15-17. 

Unlike every other book ever written or to be written, the HOLY BIBLE which contains the Word of God, is not burdensome, irksome, grievous or a taskmaster as some claim or acclaim it to be, but it is the LIBERATING BOOK for and of complete and wholesome freedom. 

It is God’s Holy written document that both INFORMS and TRANSFORMS the reader and user without prejudice, sentiment and discrimination. 

And it is the only written document whose AUTHOR is ever PRESENT to help one know and understand the content amicably and with ease, with NO ADULTERATION and CONFUSION. 

“For this is the LOVE of God, that we KEEP his commandments: and his commandments ARE not GRIEVOUS (BURDENSOME, IRKSOME, OPPRESSIVE, OR TASKMASTER)” (1 John 5:3). 

You may READ every other BOOK, but the HOLY BIBLE is the only authentic and living BOOK that READS you, knows you, accesses you and sets you free to give inner peace and tranquillity at the same time, at no cost, on FAITH in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

And because the WORD of God is not BOUND and does not lead to bondage, it SETS everyone who comes to its request in their quest in faith with freedom from all forms of addiction, bondage and captivity, at no charge. 

“Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but THE WORD OF GOD IS NOT BOUND.” (2 Timothy 2:9). 

The BIBLE means to me: (B)LESSED (I)NFORMATION (B)RINGING (L)IFE (E)TERNAL. 

I therefore urge and plead with you to earnestly crave to — LOVE IT, READ IT, STUDY IT, MEDITATE ON IT and PRACTISE IT, for your good. You will find PEACE and FREEDOM that no man can price or prize you with. 

Hence, I am COMMENDING it to you right now as a friend, because I know it will ANSWER that QUESTION that still hangs about you. 

It will CHANGE your life and wellbeing for the good, but you have to primarily READ it for yourself first-hand in order — to know and understand whatever is in context; to safeguard you from external perversion, adulteration and confusion; and to make it happen for your good and goodness without prejudice. 

“And now, brethren, I COMMEND you to God, and to THE WORD OF HIS GRACE, which is ABLE TO BUILD YOU UP, and to GIVE YOU AN INHERITANCE among all them which are SANCTIFIED” Acts 20:32. 

“So we have the PROPHETIC WORD made more certain [ASSURED]. You do well to pay [close] attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and light breaks through the gloom and the morning star arises in your hearts. 20 But understand this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of or comes from one’s own [personal or special] interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” 2 Peter 1:19-21/Amplified. 

The Holy Bible — The Holy Writ — The Holy Scripture — The WORD of God — is God’s enabling VOICE for your yesterday, today and tomorrow. 

READ, SEARCH, PONDER and FIND YOUR LIFE PURPOSE IN IT. 

I sincerely and highly recommend it to you now, for by the WORD of God, you can live to accomplish the concept — “OCCUPY TILL I COME” — mandate that is set out there for all Believers of God in Christ Jesus, to live toward.

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his COMMANDMENTS (WORDS): and his COMMANDMENTS (WORDS) are not GRIEVOUS (BURDENSOME, IRKSOME, OPPRESSIVE, OR TASKMASTER). 4 For whatsoever is born of God OVERCOMETH the WORLD: and this is the VICTORY that OVERCOMETH the WORLD, even our FAITH. 5 Who is he that OVERCOMETH the WORLD, but he that BELIEVETH that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:3-5.

    To accomplish “OCCUPY TILL I COME” we cannot use the world’s system. We need the Faith system powered by the WISDOM in THE WORD. This is how we live victorious, triumphant, more than conquerors — doing life and godliness with ease.
  4. ABIDING IN THE WORD MAKES US TRUE DISCIPLES 
    John 8:31, 1 Peter 1:22-25, Job 23:12, Psalm 119:97-100 
    If we CONTINUE IN HIS WORD we are His disciples indeed. We must LOVE IT, READ IT, STUDY IT, MEDITATE ON IT and PRACTISE IT. Esteem it more than necessary food. Let THE WORD OF CHRIST DWELL IN YOU RICHLY IN ALL WISDOM.
  5. THE BIBLE IS GOD’S COVENANT DOCUMENT WITH A PRESENT AUTHOR 
    Acts 20:32, 2 Peter 1:19-21 
    The Holy Bible is God’s will, testament and covenant to mankind. Its AUTHOR — the Holy Spirit — is ever PRESENT to help us understand it without confusion, to BUILD US UP and GIVE US AN INHERITANCE among the sanctified.  

CALL TO ACTION:

GOD’S LIGHT ON OUR MIDDAY: IT IS TO SAVE US FROM THE SELF AND RELIGIOUS ZEALOT PURPOSES AND TO ENABLE GOD’S DIVINE PURPOSES IN THE GRACE! 

“At MIDDAY, O king, I saw in the way a LIGHT from heaven, above the BRIGHTNESS of the sun, SHINING round about me and them which journeyed with me” Acts 26:13. 

At MIDDAY, the Sun is at its BEST — glowing, brightening and illuminating beyond any human concept and imagination, and reaching to the ends of the earth and reachable places. 

In some TIME ZONES, you cannot look directly upward at the Sun at MIDDAY because of the intensity of the beam of light that is glowing, radiating, reflecting and illuminating upon such places. 

It was in such an atmosphere that God chose to show and beam the superiority and illumination of His divine Sun [Son] light of righteousness over the humanity’s Sun [Natural] beam of light. 

“But unto you that FEAR (REVERENTIAL FEAR) my name shall the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS arise with HEALING in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall” Malachi 4:2 Emphasis Mine. 

“For God, who commanded the LIGHT to SHINE OUT OF DARKNESS, hath SHINED in our hearts, to give the LIGHT of the KNOWLEDGE of the glory of God in the FACE of Jesus Christ” 2 Corinthians 4:6. 

It is time to let God shine His light at MIDDAY on you, especially if you are unsure and think you are walking wrongly, or doing life on assumptions and/or foolishness in where you have found yourself at the moment. 

Sometimes one becomes so zealous with no knowledge, and full of knowledge with no understanding. Hence, no PURPOSEFUL living. 

It takes wisdom to live PURPOSEFULLY in God’s timeless timeline sphere. 

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the LIGHT of the world: he that followeth me shall not WALK IN DARKNESS, but shall have the LIGHT of life” John 8:12. 

“In the beginning was THE WORD, and THE WORD was with God, and THE WORD was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. [4] In Him was LIFE; and THE LIFE was THE LIGHT of men. [5] And THE LIGHT SHINETH IN DARKNESS; and THE DARKNESS comprehended it not . . . [14] And THE WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” John 1:1-5, 14. 

When the zealous zealot religious Saul had an encounter with divinity at MIDDAY, he became Apostle Paul. 

It took God’s “SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS” — JESUS CHRIST — to outshine the humanity MIDDAY light on Apostle Paul, and to take him out of his STAND as a RELIGIOUS zealot purposeful person called Saul, to God’s gracious DIVINE purpose person called Apostle Paul.

And there are many today who, in their zealousness to please God, have gone about establishing their own purposeful RIGHTEOUS cause and not after God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS which is of Christ Jesus. 

Know full well this day, that it is only God’s purpose that can make all things work together for our good in all circumstances of doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

“For ye have heard of my CONVERSATION in time past in the Jews’ RELIGION, how that beyond measure I PERSECUTED the church of God, and WASTED it: 14 and PROFITED in the Jews’ RELIGION above many my equals in mine own nation, being more EXCEEDINGLY ZEALOUS of the TRADITIONS of my fathers. 15 But when it pleased God, who SEPARATED me from my mother’s womb, and CALLED me by his grace” Galatians 1:13-15. 

“Brethren, my heart’s DESIRE and PRAYER to God for Israel is, that they might be SAVED. 2 For I bear them RECORD that they have a ZEAL of God, but NOT ACCORDING to knowledge. 3 For they being IGNORANT of God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS, and GOING ABOUT to ESTABLISH their OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, have not SUBMITTED themselves unto THE RIGHTEOUSNESS of God. 4 For CHRIST is the END of the law for RIGHTEOUSNESS to every one that believeth” Romans 10:1-4. 

It is time to let DIVINITY SHINE on your earthly affairs if you want to run without sweat and stress. 

Allowing God’s set “SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS” TIMELESS timeline on your “MIDDAY” TIMED timeline, will ensure you live to fulfil PURPOSE with God in Christ Jesus’ stead, meaningfully in LIFE and GRACE. Amen. 

Get connected to God’s SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS — Our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ — and all will be well again and again. And all things will turn around at your midday into God’s day in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

SUMMARY 
The message is a divine call to encounter God’s “SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS” — JESUS CHRIST — at MIDDAY, so that His superior light can save us from SELF and RELIGIOUS ZEAL, and shift us into God’s DIVINE PURPOSE and GRACE for our lives. 

It uses Saul’s MIDDAY encounter on the road to Damascus as the pattern: when God’s heavenly light outshone the natural sun, it delivered him from zealous religion and launched him into apostolic purpose.

    Many today are like Saul: EXCEEDINGLY ZEALOUS, full of knowledge but no understanding. They are GOING ABOUT to ESTABLISH their OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS instead of submitting to God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS in Christ. This leads to no PURPOSEFUL living — just sweat, stress and wasted effort. “they have a ZEAL of God, but NOT ACCORDING to knowledge” — Romans 10:2 
     
  3. GOD’S SOLUTION: THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AT MIDDAY
    John 8:12, John 1:1-5, 14
    Jesus is THE LIGHT of the world and THE WORD made flesh. When His light shines on our “MIDDAY” — our busiest, brightest, most zealous moments — He delivers us from darkness and self-effort. “he that followeth me shall not WALK IN DARKNESS, but shall have the LIGHT of life” — John 8:12 
    Saul became Paul when that light took him out of RELIGIOUS purpose into DIVINE purpose by GRACE. 
  1. THE RESULT: PURPOSE, HEALING & GRACE

    In Christ we are MADE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS of God. When we allow God’s TIMELESS timeline to rule our TIMED “MIDDAY,” we begin to fulfil PURPOSE without sweat and stress. “ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER for good to them that love God, to them who are the CALLED according to his Purpose.” — Romans 8:28

    Once illuminated, we become LIGHT. We are to let our light shine so men see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.

    Stop walking by assumption, foolishness or religious zeal. Invite God’s SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS to shine on your earthly affairs right now.
  2. LAY DOWN SELF & RELIGIOUS PURPOSES
    Cease establishing your own righteous cause. Submit to God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS which is in Christ Jesus. “CHRIST is the END of the law for RIGHTEOUSNESS to every one that believeth” — Romans 10:4
  3. GET CONNECTED TO THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
    Receive Jesus Christ — Our Saviour and Lord. Allow His TIMELESS timeline to govern your TIMED timeline.
  4. WALK IN PURPOSE, LIFE AND GRACE
    When you do, all things will turn around at your midday into God’s day. You will run without sweat and stress, and fulfil God’s purpose meaningfully.

CHURCH ARISE: THE WORLD NEEDS AN ANSWER – A SENSE OF DIRECTION IN IT’S DARKNESS! 

“For this reason He says, “AWAKE, sleeper, And ARISE from the dead, And Christ will SHINE [as dawn] upon you and give you light.” 15 Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people]” Ephesians 5:14-15/Amplified. 

It’s time to wake up — oh you that sleep, for God in Christ Jesus will give you light to enlighten and illuminate your world. 

The question now is — can the Church arise for the good of others in humanity and for such a time of need as we face in today’s world? I mean, to the world’s challenging times everywhere today. 

For we all wake up daily to hear in the news about WARS and rumours of WARS, failed governments, bad state leadership and corruption, and the various states of the hungry, the angry and hurting societies at large. 

The world needs an answer — and a sense of direction in its darkness, which only the saints can provide. 

“If the FOUNDATIONS [of a godly society] are destroyed, WHAT CAN THE RIGHTEOUS DO?” Psalms 11:3/Amplified. 

The world is undergoing a search for identity, self-worth, discovery, and answers to certain quests, with some generations left behind. And the new generation that is springing up has a burning quest that requires an answer to many, if not all, of the problems that have befallen them in terms of: WARS, BAD GOVERNMENT, FAILED LEADERSHIP, VARIOUS PANDEMICS (SICKNESS AND DISEASES), POVERTY, EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGES, SPIRITUAL ACTUALISATION, TERRORISM, ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL MISHAP, BROKEN CIVIL AND CIVIC SOCIETY, and many such like. 

The unstable state of the world from every point of the spectrum tells of a very failing society with the happenings around, especially in some quarters. And this unstable world that is now ravaged and craven with wars, hunger and climate changes has brought the greatest oppression, suppression, human hopelessness and displacement, and chaotic immigration ever experienced in modern times. 

And, of course, the wars, poverty, insecurity and pandemic effects have brought greater economic instability in many parts of the world. 

Could this not be a warning sign for the Church to arise in the last days and give direction to all the various factions involved? 

Suffice to know that we are living in a time today with the greatest acts of hatred, racism, stigma, terrorism, economic mishaps, unsteady democracy, internal and external wars and wickedness, and such like, that have ever been known in human history and modern times. 

Today, every corner of the earth cries out for an ANSWER in the various happenings in each continent, in spite of the various actions of groups united under the umbrella of the UNITED NATIONS and such like. 

May I say that until leaders of all groups begin to reassess and address these crises from God’s point of view, I cannot see any acts of human endeavour, financial expenditure and investment, humanitarian demands or such like efforts that will ANSWER to the FULNESS of the QUEST, THIRST and HUNGER and CONFUSION in the human search for self-worth and discovery of being a being. 

The human spirit is in crisis, seeking for an ANSWER to its QUEST that comes only from the Creator Himself. Unfortunately, men are only seeking an ANSWER to its QUEST from human leadership who cannot fathom it, just as they could not and have not — in final solution to the continuous matters that result in the often economic and financial meltdown, pandemics, wars and such like, that are now a plague in nations today. 

This is why every effort of man today keeps failing, because it is a human tragedy and it requires first a DIVINE ANSWER before the PHYSICAL resolve and result can take place eventually. 

Hence I say today — OH CHURCH ARISE! For you are the righteous ones — the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus’ stead — to stand for the good of humanity under heaven without sentiment, prejudice and dissimulation [2 Corinthians 5:17-21]. 

There is a great work to be done from our various nucleus communities, and there is no room for the folding of hands until our nations are healed as in the Bible days of old, with God’s injunction and willingness to heal the land — 2 Chronicles 7:13-15.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“For he hath MADE him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be MADE the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in him” 2 Corinthians 5:21.

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the EARTH hath he GIVEN to the children of men“ Psalms 115:16. 

SUMMARY: 
The message is a prophetic call and burden for the Church to arise in this present hour of global crisis. It declares that humanity is in deep darkness, searching for identity and answers, and only a DIVINE ANSWER through the Church can bring direction, healing and hope to the world.

Key Points: 

  1. A Call to Wake Up 
    Based on Ephesians 5:14-15: “AWAKE, sleeper, and ARISE from the dead, and Christ will SHINE upon you.” The Church and believers are urged to live with honour, purpose, courage and wisdom, not like the unwise. 
  2. The State of the World Today 
    The world is in turmoil: WARS and rumours of WARS, BAD GOVERNMENT, FAILED LEADERSHIP, PANDEMICS, POVERTY, EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGES, TERRORISM, ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL MISHAP, BROKEN CIVIL SOCIETY. 
    This has led to oppression, hopelessness, displacement, chaotic immigration, hatred, racism and economic instability — the worst in modern history.
  3. A Generation in Search 
    Both older and new generations are searching for identity, self-worth, discovery and answers. But human efforts, financial investments, humanitarian work and the UNITED NATIONS cannot answer the fullness of the QUEST, THIRST and CONFUSION of the human spirit.
  4. The Root Problem is Spiritual 
    The crisis is first a human tragedy. It requires a DIVINE ANSWER before PHYSICAL resolve. Until leaders address these matters from God’s point of view, all human solutions will keep failing. Psalm 11:3 asks: “If the FOUNDATIONS are destroyed, WHAT CAN THE RIGHTEOUS DO?”
  5. The Church’s Identity and Mandate 
    The Church is called “the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus” [2 Corinthians 5:17-21]. We are to stand for humanity without sentiment or prejudice. God’s promise stands: “If MY PEOPLE… shall pray… I will… heal their land” [2 Chronicles 7:13-15]. 
    Other scriptures reinforce this: Isaiah 60:1-3 — ARISE and SHINE; Isaiah 45:22 — LOOK unto God and be SAVED; Matthew 16:19 — authority to BIND and LOOSE; Acts 17:24-28 — IN HIM WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING; Psalm 115:16 — God has GIVEN the EARTH to the children of men.  

Call to Action: 
There is great work to be done in our nucleus communities. There is no room for folding of hands. The Church must arise to give direction, light and the answer of God to nations, until our lands are healed as in the Bible days of old.

COLOUR YOUR LIFE IN BEAUTY WITH SPIRITUAL FRUIT: YOUR CHARACTER ENSURES AND ASSURES YOUR CHARISMA AND CHARISMATIC ENDOWMENT IN GRACE! 

“But the FRUIT of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, 23 Meekness, Temperance: AGAINST such there is no law” Galatians 5:22-23. 

CHARISMA could be defined as the ability to attract, charm, and influence the people around you for a given cause — Plans, Purposes and Pursuits. CHARISMA is often said to be a mysterious, ineffable quality — you either have it or you don’t. 

The term charisma (/kəˈrɪzmə/; pl. charismata, adj. charismatic) has two senses: 
1. COMPELLING ATTRACTIVENESS or charm that can inspire devotion in others; 
2. A DIVINELY CONFERRED power or talent to make you be what you want to be in LIFE and GODLINESS. 

“And the WORK of righteousness shall be peace; and the EFFECT of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever” Isaiah 32:17.  

It must be noted that the sustainability of your CHARISMA or CHARISMATIC life endowment is by the CHARACTER you exhibit in and through it. Otherwise it becomes a CARICATURE, COUNTERFEIT, FAKE, MAN-MADE and SELF-GRATIFICATION in every respect of manifestation and operation. 

CHARACTER — THE RESILIENT TEMPER — is defined and applied to the aggregate of moral qualities by which a person is examined and judged apart from intelligence, competence, or special talents. Strength of character and personality applies to an aggregate of qualities that distinguish one as a person mentally and morally. 

And for the BELIEVER IN Christ, our CHARISMATIC ENDOWMENT or CHARISMA of doing life and living godly, which is as a result of SPIRITUAL GIFTS (endowment) coupled with TALENTS, are sustained in grace and life by the SPIRITUAL FRUIT (CHARACTER) of the Holy Spirit that is GIVEN to us. Romans 5:5 

This SPIRITUAL FRUIT that formulates one’s character to uphold the integrity and etiquette of one’s charisma or charismatic endowment includes, but is not limited to these: Galatians 5:22-23; 2 Peter 1:5-11; Philippians 4:8; Romans 12:9-21, etc.

  • Joy 
  • Peace 
  • Longsuffering (Endurance) 
  • Gentleness 
  • Goodness (Virtue) 
  • Faith (Faithfulness)

. . . And such like — faithfulness, truth, reverential fear of God, and more as highlighted in various places in the Scriptures. 

If these things — SPIRITUAL FRUIT (CHARACTER) — abound more and more, one is able to live and sustain in grace one’s CHARISMA placement in life, without making excuses or explaining reasons to any, just as Jesus did in humanity —1 Peter 2:21-25. 

You are the CUSTODIAN of your happiness. Make your CHARISMA sustainable with an unquestionable CHARACTER. 

CHARISMA is good and great, and it takes you to heights in any field and endeavour in life when in operation. It helps to evolve your uniqueness in life from others. 
But only your CHARACTER makes and keeps you in your THERE after all. 

Your CHARACTER — is the sustainability of your CHARISMA and CHARISMATIC endowment.

The message teaches that true, lasting influence comes not just from CHARISMA, but from CHARACTER produced by the SPIRITUAL FRUIT of the Holy Spirit. Charisma may open doors and create attraction, but only godly character sustains that endowment in grace, integrity and purpose. For the believer, spiritual gifts and talents must be upheld by the fruit of the Spirit to avoid becoming a counterfeit.

    Without it, it becomes a CARICATURE, COUNTERFEIT, FAKE, MAN-MADE and SELF-GRATIFICATION. 
    What Character Is – CHARACTER — THE RESILIENT TEMPER — is the aggregate of moral qualities by which a person is examined and judged apart from intelligence, competence, or special talents. It distinguishes a person mentally and morally.
  1. THE SOURCE OF BELIEVER’S CHARACTER: SPIRITUAL FRUIT
    God’s Provision – For the BELIEVER IN Christ, our CHARISMATIC ENDOWMENT or CHARISMA, which comes as a result of SPIRITUAL GIFTS coupled with TALENTS, are sustained in grace and life by the SPIRITUAL FRUIT (CHARACTER) of the Holy Spirit that is GIVEN to us. Romans 5:5

  3. ADD AND ABOUND: Give all diligence to ADD to your faith: virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, charity. Let these things abound in you. 2 Peter 1:5-8 
  4. THINK ON THESE THINGS: Think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. Let your mind be formed by the Word. Philippians 4:8 
  5. WALK IN INTEGRITY: Live so that your gifts, talents and influence are backed by integrity and the fruit of the Spirit, just as Christ did.

IN A DARK AND DARKENED WORLD

IN A DARK AND DARKENED WORLD: YOU ARE THE LIGHT – BE THE LIGHT! 

“Ye ARE THE LIGHT of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it UNDER a bushel, but ON a candlestick; and it GIVETH LIGHT unto all that are in the house. 16 LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE before men, that they may SEE your good works, and GLORIFY your Father which is in heaven” Matthew 5:14-16 

Light will always be superior to darkness. The darker it gets, the brighter the light glows. The strength of light is known in a darkened atmosphere. Light will always outshine darkness at any measure. Light will always overpower darkness. And no matter the strength of any darkness, it cannot and will not be able to comprehend [break into] the enabling power of light’s superiority. 

“. . . 5 And the LIGHT shineth in DARKNESS; and the DARKNESS COMPREHENDED it not” 1 John 1:1-5. 

Light attracts, it glows, it gives direction. 
Light illuminates and surpasses darkness. 

God has commanded light to SHINE OUT of the darkness that was in us, to give us the needed illumination to access His redemption — done, did and deed — for us in Christ Jesus. 

“For God, who commanded the LIGHT TO SHINE OUT OF DARKNESS, hath SHINED in our HEARTS, to give the LIGHT of the KNOWLEDGE of the GLORY of God in the FACE of Jesus Christ” 2 Corinthians 4:6. 

Living as the light in His (Christ) light will always be better than in darkness. 
Light gives hope, light shines and gives a sense of life and belonging in becoming. 

And God has set deliverance for us from every evil that darkness represents in the world — Galatians 1:3-5; Colossians 1:13-14. 

The Holy Writ says — YOU ARE the light of the World; it did not say — YOU WILL BE light. YOU ARE THE LIGHT! See yourself the way Christ sees you and BECOME it. 

Don’t be afraid of darkness nor the dark places, no matter what. Dare to be like Daniel and the three brothers (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) against any odds of darkness and dark places. 

You ARE the extension and embodiment of God’s LIGHT in Christ Jesus in the World. You ARE His song, hope, love, peace, success, salvation, deliverance, mercy, wisdom, knowledge, prosperity and more to the dark and darkened world. Be emboldened in Christ Jesus to dare the dark and darkened presence. DARE TO BE A BIBLICAL DANIEL! 

Therefore shine and keep shining. Keep ENACTING who you ARE in God in Christ Jesus. May you ever GLOW in life and godliness, in God’s GRACE and BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead.

The message declares that in a world filled with darkness, believers in Christ are called and commissioned to be LIGHT. Light is superior to darkness and cannot be overcome by it. Because God has shined in our hearts through Christ, we must live as the light — shining through good works, courage and identity — so that the world sees Christ and glorifies God.

  1. YOUR IDENTITY: YOU ARE THE LIGHT
    It is Present Tense – Matthew 5:14-16 “YE ARE THE LIGHT of the world.” Not “you will be”. YOU ARE THE LIGHT! 
    A city set on a hill cannot be hid. A candle is put ON a candlestick to GIVE LIGHT to all in the house. 
    Christ’s Work in You – 2 Corinthians 4:6 “God… hath SHINED in our HEARTS, to give the LIGHT of the KNOWLEDGE of the GLORY of God in the FACE of Jesus Christ.” 
    Colossians 1:13-14 God has delivered us from darkness into the kingdom of His Son.

RESENTMENT

RESENTMENT – The Beautiful And Colourful Lesson Learnt From My Wife: To LOVE And PRAY For Those Whom You Tend To RESENT And Who RESENT You! 

“When a man’s ways PLEASE the Lord, he MAKETH even his ENEMIES to be at peace with him” Proverbs 16:7. 

“If thine ENEMY be HUNGRY, GIVE him bread to EAT; and if he be THIRSTY, GIVE him water to DRINK: 22 for thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee” Proverbs 25:21-22. 

RESENTMENT is BITTER INDIGNATION at having been TREATED UNFAIRLY and BADLY; and it is a mixture of DISAPPOINTMENT, ANGER, WRATH and FEAR. It comprises the three basic emotions of DISGUST, SADNESS and SURPRISE — the PERCEPTION of INJUSTICE. 

If you must live COLOURFUL, FREE, PEACEFUL and ENJOY the FULNESS of Christ’s REDEMPTION for you, you must CULTIVATE the acts of LOVE, and to PRAY for the one you tend to RESENT and the one who is RESENTING you. 

It is the gracious, beautiful and colourful lesson I heard and learnt from my wife years ago to deal with human DIFFERENCE and INDIFFERENCE. And it CERTAINLY has worked and keeps working for all who have been COUNSELLED along it, in dealing with various matters of life in human relationships: Family, Spouses, Friends, Workplace Colleagues, Leadership, Gospel Ministry and such like. 

I can boldly affirm that it works because Christ Jesus, in one of His SERMON ON THE MOUNT TEACHINGS, made similar statements to us about LOVING, RELATING and PRAYING for our ENEMIES and those who DESPITEFULLY mistreat us in every respect of doing life and godly living. [Matthew 5:38-48]. 

The best way to OVERCOME and TRIUMPH in beauty and colour over RESENTMENT is to LOVE, and to PRAY for the one you ARE RESENTING or who is RESENTING you. For you cannot be ABLE to RESENT the PERSON you LOVE and you are PRAYING for and about without expecting results, except you are playing and unserious — and especially if you truly WANT, BELIEVE and EXPECT God to ANSWER such PRAYERS of yours. Otherwise you are making a mockery of yourself before God, because God cannot be mocked [Galatians 6:7-10]. 

And in the same way, you will ALWAYS RESENT the PERSON you DO NOT see the NEED to PRAY for, much less to LOVE, as the Scriptures earnestly require and put a demand on us to love, in order to be God’s genuine DISCIPLE, in Christ Jesus’ stead. [John 13:34-35; John 15:12-14]. Amen. 

Therefore, SET YOURSELF FREE WITH LOVE AND PRAYER — It’s the ANTIDOTE to RESENTMENT. 
Give it a goal to do today, and you will witness peace and joy indescribable and incomprehensible, both for yourself and for the good of all, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. [Romans 5:5-11]. 

Set yourself FREE with LOVE and PRAYER — it’s the ANTIDOTE to RESENTMENT, at least for your own innermost peace and quietness. Give it a goal today and you will witness peace and joy indescribable for yourself. 

I pray you know and understand that LOVE and PRAYERS will work for you to deal with RESENTMENT today and always. 

You need to PLEASE God to make your enemy and cohorts to be at PEACE with you [Proverbs 16:7]. And you can only PLEASE God by FAITH [Hebrews 11:6]. And FAITH only WORKS by LOVE [Galatians 5:6, 13]. 

And God’s LOVE is without sentiments, prejudice and dissimulation — and it is the antidote to deal with enemy and cohorts Scripturally [Romans 12:9-21; Proverbs 25:21-22; Matthew 5:36-48]. 

Hence, you can deal with resentment in the way Scripturally laid out in the context of this discussion if you want solutions God’s way and path and not your self-seeking way and path. 

And BLESSED regards in God’s grace and BLESSEDNESS as you BEGIN to enjoy the needed and resultant PEACE born from acting in DIFFERENCE instead of INDIFFERENCE from the norm — “an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth” — the golden rule.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the LOVE of God is SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS by the Holy Ghost which is GIVEN unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 BUT GOD COMMENDETH HIS LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US. 9 Much more then, being now JUSTIFIED by his blood, we shall be SAVED FROM WRATH through him. 10 For if, when we were ENEMIES, we were RECONCILED to God by the death of his Son, much more, BEING RECONCILED, we shall be SAVED BY HIS LIFE. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now RECEIVED the atonement” Romans 5:5-11.

“Dearly beloved, AVENGE not yourselves, but rather GIVE place unto WRATH: for it is written, VENGEANCE is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine ENEMY hunger, FEED him; if he THIRST, GIVE him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not OVERCOME of evil, but OVERCOME evil with good” Romans 12:19-21.

SUMMARY 
The message teaches that RESENTMENT is a bitter, destructive emotion, and the only Scriptural ANTIDOTE to OVERCOME and TRIUMPH over it is to LOVE and PRAY for the person you resent and who resents you. This was a lesson learnt from the author’s wife and it mirrors Christ’s teaching on the Sermon on the Mount. When we choose LOVE and PRAYER over retaliation, we walk in God’s peace, redemption, and become genuine DISCIPLES of Christ.

    What it is: RESENTMENT is BITTER INDIGNATION at having been TREATED UNFAIRLY and BADLY. 
    What it’s made of: A mixture of DISAPPOINTMENT, ANGER, WRATH and FEAR. It comprises DISGUST, SADNESS and SURPRISE — the PERCEPTION of INJUSTICE. James 1:19-20 “the WRATH of man WORKETH not the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God”

    The Test of Discipleship – We MUST LOVE and PRAY, even for those who don’t deserve it. This is the demand of Scripture to be God’s genuine DISCIPLE. John 13:34-35; John 15:12-14

    God’s Love is the Key: God’s LOVE is without sentiments, prejudice and dissimulation — and it is the antidote to deal with enemy and cohorts Scripturally. Romans 12:9-21.  
  1. THE CHOICE: DIFFERENCE VS INDIFFERENCE

Instead of the world’s norm of “an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth”, we are called to act in DIFFERENCE — responding with LOVE, PRAYER and GOOD instead of INDIFFERENCE and retaliation. 

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. IDENTIFY RESENTMENT: Acknowledge any BITTER INDIGNATION, ANGER or WRATH you are holding toward anyone today.
  2. CHOOSE LOVE AND PRAYER: Make it a GOAL TODAY to LOVE and to PRAY for the one you ARE RESENTING and the one who is RESENTING you. Pray sincerely, believing God will answer. 
  3. ACT IN GOOD: If your enemy is hungry, FEED them. If thirsty, GIVE them drink. Do good to those who despitefully use you. Proverbs 25:21-22; Romans 12:20 
  4. WALK BY FAITH AND LOVE: PLEASE God by FAITH, knowing that FAITH WORKS BY LOVE. This is how you overcome evil with good. 
  5. EXPECT PEACE AND JOY: As you do this, you will witness peace and joy indescribable and incomprehensible, both for yourself and for the good of all, in Christ Jesus’ stead. And God will make even your enemies to be at peace with you.
