THE HOLY SPIRIT OF LOVE

THE HOLY SPIRIT OF LOVE: IS THE ANSWER OF GOD’S LOVED-WORLD TO THE SPHERE AND QUESTIONS OF AN EVIL-WICKED-AND-HATED-WORLD TODAY! 

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another HELPER (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the WORLD cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not SEE Him or KNOW Him, but you KNOW Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains WITH you continually and will be IN you” John 14:16-17/AMP. 

Do you have QUESTIONS about the hate, evil, wickedness, murder, violence, and more in our world today? There is an ANSWER. The ANSWER is to ensure that, in the midst of the evil and wickedness in the world, God’s LOVE in Christ Jesus becomes our FUNDAMENTAL and PRINCIPLED guidance in every aspect of living godly and doing life. 

“Now hope does not disappoint, because the LOVE of God has been POURED out in our HEARTS by the Holy Spirit who was GIVEN to us . . . 8 But God COMMENDETH HIS LOVE toward us, in that, while we were YET SINNERS, Christ DIED for us” Romans 5:5, 8. 

And LIVING and WALKING by the Holy Spirit of love is the only EMPOWERING way to manifest and demonstrate the characteristics of God’s Love in Christ Jesus – that is how God’s LOVED WORLD answers the questions of an EVIL WORLD, WICKED WORLD, and a HATE WORLD questions. 

God’s love in Christ Jesus is characterised and summed up in 1 Corinthians 13. It is all possible by the working of the indwelling Spirit of love given to us – The Holy Spirit is shed and poured into our hearts – into the inner, subconscious spirit- man- to ensure that we triumph in all that pertains to doing LIFE and GODLY LIVING. Romans 5:5, 8; 2 Corinthians 2:14; 2 Peter 1:2-4. 

God’s kind of love is the only way to do life and to live through and above the knowledge of hate, selfishness, evil, wickedness and violence in the world that we see today. God’s love in Christ Jesus helps us to transcend and surpass the human-based kind love, which is of the SENSES – See, Smell, Feel, Taste and Hear. Ephesians 3:16-19. 

Living in God’s LOVED WORLD setting is the ANSWER to the REALITY and QUESTIONS of an EVIL WORLD, WICKED WORLD, and a HATE-FILLED WORLD.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT- 

“Now hope does not disappoint, because the LOVE of God has been POURED out in our HEARTS by the Holy Spirit who was GIVEN to us . . . 8 But God COMMENDETH HIS LOVE toward us, in that, while we were YET SINNERS, Christ DIED for us” Romans 5:5, 8. 

“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who GAVE himself for our sins, that he might DELIVER us from this PRESENT EVIL WORLD, according to the WILL of God and our Father: 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” Galatians 1:3-5. 

“For God so LOVED THE WORLD that he GAVE his one and only Son, that whoever BELIEVES in him shall not PERISH but have ETERNAL LIFE” John 3:16. 

“For this reason [grasping the greatness of this plan by which Jews and Gentiles are joined together in Christ] I bow my knees [in reverence] before the Father [of our Lord Jesus Christ], 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth [a]derives its name [God—the first and ultimate Father]. 16 May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality], 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] GROUNDED IN LOVE, 18 be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of HIS LOVE [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love]; 19 and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] THE LOVE OF CHRIST which far SURPASSES [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself]. 20 Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. SUMMARY: 

This message is a theological answer to the world’s crisis. The core argument: The only solution to hate, evil, and violence today is God’s love in Christ Jesus, demonstrated and empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit. 

  1. THE FOUNDATION & THE HELPER

Core Truth: THE HOLY SPIRIT OF LOVE 
Key Verse: John 14:16-17 AMP 
Jesus promised the Holy Spirit — the Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Strengthener — to be WITH us and IN us forever. 
The world cannot receive Him because it does not see or know Him. But believers DO know Him. 

  1. THE PROBLEM: QUESTIONS FROM A BROKEN WORLD

The message asks: Do you have QUESTIONS about the hate, evil, wickedness, murder, violence, and more in our world today? 
It describes the world as: EVIL-WICKED-AND-HATE-FILLED. 
Galatians 1:3-5 calls it “this PRESENT EVIL WORLD” from which Christ came to DELIVER us. 

  1. THE ANSWER: GOD’S LOVE IN CHRIST JESUS

The ANSWER is to make God’s LOVE in Christ Jesus our FUNDAMENTAL and PRINCIPLED guidance for living godly and doing life. 
Why? Romans 5:5, 8 – God’s LOVE has been POURED into our HEARTS by the Holy Spirit who was GIVEN to us. God proved His love by Christ dying for us while we were yet sinners. 
How? John 3:16 – For God so LOVED THE WORLD that He GAVE His Son. 

  1. THE EMPOWERMENT: LIVING & WALKING BY THE SPIRIT

Living and Walking by the Holy Spirit of love is the only EMPOWERING way to manifest the characteristics of God’s Love. 
Where does it happen? The Holy Spirit is shed and poured into our hearts — into our inner, subconscious spirit-man — Romans 5:5. 
Result: We triumph in all that pertains to LIFE and GODLY LIVING. 2 Cor 2:14, 2 Peter 1:2-4 

  1. THE DESCRIPTION: WHAT GOD’S LOVE LOOKS LIKE

God’s love in Christ Jesus is characterised and summed up in 1 Corinthians 13. 
This love transcends and surpasses human-based love, which is limited to the 5 SENSES: See, Smell, Feel, Taste, and Hear. 
Ephesians 3:16-19 AMP explains: We are to be rooted and grounded IN LOVE, strengthened by the Spirit in our inner being, to know the LOVE OF CHRIST which surpasses knowledge, and be filled up to all the fullness of God. 

  1. THE OUTCOME: GOD’S LOVED-WORLD VS THE WORLD

Living in God’s LOVED WORLD setting is the ANSWER to the REALITY and QUESTIONS of an EVIL WORLD, WICKED WORLD, and HATE-FILLED WORLD. 
God’s kind of love is the only way to live through and above hate, selfishness, evil, wickedness, and violence.

The Holy Spirit of Love is God’s answer. He enables believers to live differently and be the answer to the world.

MIRRORING YOUR WELLBEING BY GOD’S LOVE: LOVING THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD IN THE EYES OF CHRIST JESUS! 

“And [that you may come] to KNOW [practically, through personal experience] the LOVE of Christ which far SURPASSES and TRANSCENDS [mere] SENSE knowledge [without experience], that you may be FILLED up [throughout your being] to all the FULLNESS of God [so that you may have the RICHEST experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely FILLED and FLOODED with God Himself]” Ephesians 3:19/AMP. 

Mirroring God’s LOVE in our lives should be every believer’s earnest desire and expectation as we live in grace – in our day-to-day endeavours and in our walk with God in Christ Jesus’ stead. The questions that come to mind are: 

  1.  How have you been applying it in your day to day living thus far?  
  2. How will you start to do it now?  
  3. How do you go about doing it in order to sustain it, with an onward and upward trajectory that does not stop?  

Will it be through the lens of your DENOMINATIONAL and DOCTRINAL Church, sectarian by-laws and creeds?  

Or through the World’s definition?  

Or will you choose to DO life through the EYES and FACE of Christ Jesus, in the LIGHT of the KNOWLEDGE of God as revealed in the Holy Scriptures? 

“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has SHONE in our hearts to give us the LIGHT of the KNOWLEDGE of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the FACE of Christ” 2 Corinthians 4:6 Amplified. 

LOVING through KNOWLEDGE, in the EYES and FACE of JESUS, by the Holy Spirit that is GIVEN to us, is the essence of FULFILING scripture and being FULFILED in God, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the LOVE of God is SHED abroad in our HEARTS by the Holy Ghost which is GIVEN unto us . . . 8 But God COMMENDETH his LOVE toward us, in that, while we were YET sinners, Christ DIED for us” Romans 5:5-8. 

If you mirror your life through the eyes of DENOMINATIONAL and DOCTRINAL Church by-laws and creeds, or through the WORLD’S definition as seen today, I tell you this truthfully: You will be stigmatised, locked in dogmas and creeds, and become self-centred. More so, you will end up full of RELIGION-MADE, SECTARIANISM, SELF-MADE and MAN-MADE practices – with their bondages and captivity.  

They may seem good in human eyes, but they are full of sentiment, prejudice and dissimulation (hypocrisy) in every perception and life dealing.  

Worst of all, it is not healthy and gracious for godly living before the God of LOVE, in the knowledge of Christ Jesus’ stead as SCRIPTURALLY enjoined. Amen. 

“And [that you may come] to KNOW [practically, through personal experience] the LOVE of Christ which far SURPASSES and TRANSCENDS [mere] SENSE knowledge [without experience], that you may be FILLED up [throughout your being] to all the FULLNESS of God [so that you may have the RICHEST experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely FILLED and FLOODED with God Himself]” Ephesians 3:19/AMP. 

For when you mirror God’s love from and through the saving, gracious KNOWLEDGE of Christ Jesus – in His EYES and on His FACE – in order to do life and live godly, I can verily promise you this:  

You will be LIBERATED from all forms of bondage and captivity. You will eventually experience WHOLEHEARTED WHOLENESS in your triune being: spirit, soul and body. And God’s love in Christ Jesus will take hold of you in every way, to do life and live FULFILING scripture – BLESSEDLY, MEANINGFULLY, and PURPOSEFULLY. Amen. 

“Love is to be sincere and active [the real thing—without guile and hypocrisy]. Hate what is evil [detest all ungodliness, do not tolerate wickedness]; hold on tightly to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another with [authentic] brotherly affection [as members of one family], give preference to one another in honor; 11 never lagging behind in diligence; aglow in the Spirit, enthusiastically serving the Lord; 12 constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength], 13 contributing to the needs of God’s people, pursuing [the practice of] hospitality . . .” Romans 12:9-21 Amplified. 

Genuine freedom is seeing God’s love through the EYES of Christ Jesus – if you dare to desire to truly live free in GRACE and in God’s KNOWLEDGE: wholesomely, purposefully, and meaningfully.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“Beloved, let us LOVE one another, for LOVE is of God; and everyone who LOVES is born of God and knows God. 8 He who DOES NOT LOVE does not know God, for GOD IS LOVE. 9 In this the LOVE of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON into the world, that we might LIVE THROUGH HIM. 10 In this is LOVE, not that we LOVED God, but that He LOVED us and sent His Son to be the PROPITIATION for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so LOVED us, we also ought to LOVE one another” 1 John 4:7-11. 

“And the very God of peace SANCTIFY you WHOLLY; and I pray God your WHOLE spirit and soul and body be PRESERVED blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Thessalonians 5:23. 

“Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having LOVED his own which were in the world, he LOVED THEM UNTO THE END . . . 34 A NEW COMMANDMENT I give unto you, That ye LOVE one another; as I have LOVED you, that ye also LOVE one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have LOVE one to another” John 13:1, 34-35.

  • It is not healthy or gracious for godly living before the God of LOVE. Romans 5:5-8

When you mirror God’s love through the saving, gracious KNOWLEDGE in Christ Jesus: 

  • You will be LIBERATED from all bondage and captivity 
  • You will experience WHOLEHEARTED WHOLENESS in your triune being: spirit, soul, and body 1 Thess 5:23 
  • God’s love will lead you to live FULFILLING Scripture — BLESSEDLY, MEANINGFULLY, and PURPOSEFULLY 
  • LOVING through KNOWLEDGE by the Holy Spirit is the essence of fulfilling Scripture and being fulfilled in God. 
  1. WHAT THIS LOVE LOOKS LIKE PRACTICALLY

From Romans 12:9-21 AMP: 
Sincere love, no hypocrisy. Hate evil, hold to good. Brotherly affection, honor, diligence, rejoicing in hope, steadfast in distress, devotion to prayer, generosity, hospitality. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS TO PONDER – SELAH
1 John 4:7-11 – God IS LOVE. We love because He first loved us and sent His Son. 

John 13:34-35 – The NEW COMMANDMENT: Love one another as Christ loved us. This is how the world knows we are His disciples. 

Hebrews 12:1-2 – LOOKING UNTO JESUS, the Author and Finisher of our faith. 

Hebrews 1:1-4 – In these last days God has SPOKEN TO US BY HIS SON, the EXPRESS image of His person.

THE FINAL DECLARATION

Genuine freedom is seeing God’s love through the EYES of Christ Jesus — if you dare to desire to truly live free in GRACE and in God’s KNOWLEDGE: wholesomely, purposefully, and meaningfully.

HIS LIGHT IN OUR DARKNESS

HIS LIGHT IN OUR DARKNESS: HE IS THE LIGHT THAT DISPELS EVERY DARKNESS! 

“O house of Jacob, COME YE, and let us WALK IN THE LIGHT of the Lord” Isaiah 2:5. 

There is a greater need to walk in the LIGHT now than there has ever been in human history. The level of darkness and untruth has overshadowed and overwhelmed many today – and the fear of darkness and all it stands for now lives within many more than ever before, even in our daily acts of doing life and living godly in the grace in Christ Jesus’ stead. Darkness speaks of evil and wickedness, lies and untruth, hypocrisy and prejudice, sentiment and dissimulation, and such like that depict the devil and his cohorts who perpetuate and symbolise darkness and its effects.  

LIGHT, on the other hand, indicates and signifies the hallmark of Development, Progress, Freedom, Victory, Triumph, Illumination, Enlightenment, Productivity, Fulfilment, Purposeful Living, Colourful Living, Meaningful Living, and such like. And when one comes into the LIGHT that Christ is and provides, and starts acting on His WORD in that LIGHT, it is apparent that one will receive illumination and enlightenment against all forms of DARKNESS as it is written: 

“Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the LIGHT of the world; he that follows me shall not WALK in DARKNESS, but shall have the LIGHT of LIFE” – John 8:12. 

“But the PATH OF THE JUST is as the SHINING LIGHT, that SHINETH MORE AND MORE unto the perfect day” Proverbs 4:18. 

Until one finds light in the LIGHT that the Lord Jesus Christ is and provides, there cannot be true illumination and enlightenment from darkness. You are FREE from every form of DARKNESS by the illumination and enlightenment you have RECEIVED in you of Christ Jesus, who is the Saviour, Lord and King. Amen. 

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is LIGHT, and in him is NO DARKNESS at all. 6 If we say that we have FELLOWSHIP with him, and WALK IN DARKNESS, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 but if we WALK IN THE LIGHT, as he is in the LIGHT, we have FELLOWSHIP one with another, and the BLOOD of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, AND HIS WORD IS NOT IN US” 1 John 1:5-10. 

To HAVE and WALK in Christ Jesus’ LIGHT is to WALK in His WORD. And when you find the LIGHT of Christ Jesus in you, ‘THAT’ DARKNESS in your – Marriage, Marital Choices, Relationship, Finance, Career, Ministry, Leadership and more – will disperse and be dispelled with ease by the power and grace in Christ’s light. And you will know and experience what it means to have a life without sweat, stress, pressure and depression. Christ’s light indicates God’s favour, wisdom and speed to thrive, succeed, triumph, overcome and win victoriously in His leisure and with meaningful fulfilment. 

“In the beginning was THE WORD, and THE WORD was with God, and THE WORD was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in DARKNESS; and the DARKNESS comprehended it not” John 1:1-5 

When you resolve, even now – being today – to allow and follow the LIGHT of Christ Jesus, you will never walk in darkness. But His light will illuminate and enlighten every darkness, so that you can see all about you that pertains to doing life and living godly in God’s divine Plan, Purpose and Pursuit for you. 

It’s time to COLOUR and RAINBOW your life with the LIGHT that is in and of Christ Jesus. Be Blessed in Life and Godliness in the LIGHT of Christ Jesus. Amen.

This is a Gospel teaching and call to walk in Christ as LIGHT in a time of increasing darkness. The core message is: Jesus Christ IS the LIGHT, and walking in Him and His WORD brings total wholeness, freedom, and direction for life.

  • 1 John 1:5-10 – God is LIGHT, and in Him is NO DARKNESS at all. If we WALK IN THE LIGHT, we have fellowship, and the blood of Jesus cleanses us.

When you receive and act on the LIGHT of Christ in you: 

  1. Darkness Disperses – “THAT DARKNESS” in Marriage, Choices, Relationships, Finance, Career, Ministry, Leadership “will disperse and be dispelled with ease” by Christ’s grace and power. 
  2. Freedom from Pressure – You experience life without sweat, stress, pressure, and depression. 
  3. God’s Favour and Speed – Christ’s light brings God’s favour, wisdom, and speed to thrive, succeed, triumph, overcome, and win with meaningful fulfilment. 
  4. Divine Direction – His light illuminates God’s divine Plan, Purpose and Pursuit for your life. Psalm 16:11 – “in thy PRESENCE is FULNESS of joy” 
  5. Sanctification – Romans 13:11-13 calls us to “CAST OFF THE WORKS OF DARKNESS, and PUT ON THE ARMOUR OF LIGHT” and walk honestly. 

The promise: Proverbs 4:18 – “the PATH OF THE JUST is as the SHINING LIGHT, that SHINETH MORE AND MORE unto the perfect day” 

  1. THE CALL TO ACTION
  • Resolve Today: “When you resolve, even now – being today – to allow and follow the LIGHT of Christ Jesus, you will never walk in darkness.” 
  • Let the Light Colour Your Life: “It’s time to COLOUR and RAINBOW your life with the LIGHT that is in and of Christ Jesus.” 
  • This is a call to choose fellowship with God over fellowship with darkness, to confess and be cleansed, and to live by the Word.

PASTORAL MINISTRY – IT’S NOT A GAME: IT’S A SHEPHERD AND SHEPHERDING MINISTERIAL CALLING! 

“And Moses spake unto the Lord, saying, 16 Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, SET A MAN OVER THE CONGREGATION, 17 which may GO OUT before them, and which may GO IN before them, and which may LEAD THEM OUT, and which may BRING THEM IN; that the CONGREGATION of the Lord be not AS SHEEP which have NO SHEPHERD” Numbers 27:15-17. 

You are either CALLED or NOT. Everyone CALLED is a MESSENGER. And every MESSENGER is GIVEN a SPECIFIC and SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT with a MESSAGE to FEED the FLOCKS – God’s own Heritage – with the needed KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING, that’s TOWARD God and His Christ, and NOT TOWARD man or creation at all. John 17:3/Jeremiah 3:15. 

“And how I kept back nothing that was PROFITABLE unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, 21 TESTIFYING both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance TOWARD God, and faith TOWARD our Lord Jesus Christ” Acts 20:20-21. 

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to RECEIVE glory and honour and power: for thou hast CREATED ALL THINGS, and for THY PLEASURE they ARE and WERE CREATED” Revelation 4:11. 

Those NOT CALLED, are not MESSENGERS but HIRELING – Thieves and Robbers – John 10:8, 12-13. And with such there is NO MESSAGE nor any specific given assignment of God but that of their self-indulgence, extortion, gratification, men applaud and egotism under the influence of satanic/demonic and cohort’s mission. This is the reason for – Adulteration, Schism, Bewitching, Robbery, Dogmas, Sorcery, Falsehoods, Confusion and such like, in the body Ministry of the Gospel, indicating and supposedly the signs of the last days – [Philippians 1:15-18; 2 Timothy 3:1-9; 2 Peter 3:1-7]. 

These sets of SELF-MADE-UP and SELF-CALLED Pastors, are full of fables, philosophy of men, endless genealogies, vain jangling, teachers of idealism and realism, denominational made-up creeds, religious bigots, sectarianism, man-made tradition and dogmas that leads people to further bondages and hence makes God’s WORD of no effect in the Gospel. [1 Timothy 1:1-11; Colossians 2:8; Mark 7:1-13]. 

PASTORAL MINISTRY? It’s not an Office Position – It’s a set Ministerial Calling – It’s a SHEPHERD and SHEPHERDING that is principled with responsibility and accountability in Christ Jesus stead, for the GLORY and PRAISE of God. [Galatians 6:14-16; Revelation 4:11]. It’s a set MINISTERIAL calling to FEED God’s people without sentiment, prejudice and dissimulation; and to LEAD them healthily in purposeful LEADERSHIP as God’s REDEEMED, PRECIOUS and BLESSED people; and not to the BOSS and DOMINEER people around for self-gratification and egotism. There’s no room for SELF INTEREST and SELFISHNESS in the PASTORAL MINISTRY as a SHEPHERD and SHEPHERDING of God. 

“And I will GIVE you PASTORS according to mine heart, which shall FEED you with KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING” Jeremiah 3:15. 

“And I will SET UP SHEPHERDS over them which shall FEED them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the Lord” Jeremiah 23:4. 

Also, you are either sent by God – as John the Baptist and the Disciples were in the Gospel days – or you are sending yourself. God does call and send [John 1:6-36; Mark 6:7-13]. Those He calls and sends; He also keeps and protects and defends. It’s not about liking the Ministerial outfits. Being called and sent forth should be paramount. “Send forth” could be to a person to enhance the calling, or to a group of people, or to a generation, or to a dispensation, or to a community.  

You must know the definition of the calling and sending before taking a step, because of the warfare and the many uncertainties and unknowns in the cause and course that obedience demands – without having any reason to regret your step of faith to advance the kingdom of our God and to keep the Enemy and cohorts at bay.

“And I will GIVE you PASTORS according to mine heart, which shall FEED you with KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING” Jeremiah 3:15.

SUMMARY 

This message is a strong, sobering teaching and charge on PASTORAL MINISTRY — IT’S NOT A GAME: IT’S A SHEPHERD AND SHEPHERDING MINISTERIAL CALLING. 

  1. THE CORE TRUTH: CALLED OR NOT CALLED
    Pastoral Ministry is not an office position, title, or career. It is a set MINISTERIAL CALLING from God — a SHEPHERD and SHEPHERDING responsibility with accountability to Christ Numbers 27:15-17. 

You are either CALLED or NOT. 

THE CALLED = MESSENGERS. Every messenger is given a SPECIFIC and SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT with a MESSAGE to FEED THE FLOCKS — God’s own Heritage — with KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING TOWARD God and His Christ, not toward man Jeremiah 3:15; John 17:3; Acts 20:20-21. 

THE NOT CALLED = HIRELINGS. John 10:8, 12-13. They have no message from God. Their work is self-indulgence, extortion, egotism, and men-applause under demonic influence. This produces adulteration, schism, robbery, falsehood, confusion Philippians 1:15-18; 2 Timothy 3:1-9. 

  1. WHAT A TRUE SHEPHERD DOES

A true Pastor is principled with responsibility and accountability for the GLORY and PRAISE of God Revelation 4:11. 
His Assignment: 

  • FEED the flock with Knowledge and Understanding, without sentiment, prejudice or dissimulation Jeremiah 3:15; 1 Peter 5:2 
  • LEAD them out and bring them in Numbers 27:17 — healthy, purposeful leadership 
  • NOT boss or domineer people 1 Peter 5:3 
  • NOT for filthy lucre, but with a ready mind 1 Peter 5:2 
  • BE AN ENSAMPLE to the flock 1 Peter 5:3 
  • BE DILIGENT to know the state of the flocks Proverbs 27:23 

The goal: Perfecting the saints, work of ministry, edifying the body until we come to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ Ephesians 4:11-16. 

  1. THE PATTERN: SENT BY GOD

You must be SENT by God like John the Baptist John 1:6-7 and the 12 Disciples Mark 6:7-13. 
God calls, sends, keeps, protects and defends His own. 
Sending can be to a person, group, generation, community, or dispensation. 
You must know the definition of your calling and sending before you step, because obedience demands warfare and uncertainty. Don’t act out of liking “ministerial outfits.” 

Christ is THE GOOD SHEPHERD John 10:11,14 and THE CHIEF SHEPHERD who will reward 1 Peter 5:4. THE GREAT SHEPHERD who works in us Hebrews 13:20-21. 

  1. THE DANGER OF FALSE SHEPHERDS

Self-made, self-called pastors bring: fables, men’s philosophy, vain jangling, denominational creeds, man-made traditions that make God’s Word of no effect 1 Timothy 1:3-7; Colossians 2:8; Mark 7:13. 
They are thieves and robbers who flee when the wolf comes John 10:12-13. 

 CALL TO ACTION 

FOR THOSE CALLED: 

  1. EXAMINE YOUR CALLING: Are you sent by God or are you self-sent? Pause. SELAH. Know your assignment before you move. 
  2. FEED THE FLOCK: Go back to the Word. Preach repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ Acts 20:21. Give knowledge and understanding, not fables. 
  3. SHEPHERD WILLINGLY: Lead without domination. Serve without seeking filthy lucre. Be an example. God will confirm the word of His servant Isaiah 44:26. 

FOR THE FLOCK/GOD’S PEOPLE: 

  1. DISCERN: Know the voice of the Good Shepherd and flee from strangers John 10:4-5. Test every ministry by the Word. \
  2. PRAY: Ask God to GIVE YOU PASTORS ACCORDING TO HIS HEART Jeremiah 3:15 who will feed you and so you won’t be lacking. 

FOR ALL: 
STOP TREATING MINISTRY LIKE A GAME. It is blood-bought, covenant responsibility. Let us all pursue the unity of faith and maturity in Christ Ephesians 4:13. Amen.

THE TOTAL [COMPLETE, WHOLE] GOSPEL

THE TOTAL [COMPLETE, WHOLE] GOSPEL: IT’S FOR THE TOTAL [COMPLETE, WHOLE] MAN – SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY! 

“And the very God of peace SANCTIFY you WHOLLY; and I pray God your WHOLE SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be PRESERVED blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Thessalonians 5 :23. 

Being whole and desiring a wholesome living and wholesome being is not magical or farfetched, as some may think or imagine. Being sound in life and grace is not in a distant place far off from you – it’s within your grasp. 

 It’s what the Gospel “IS” – and will “DO” when PREACHED, TAUGHT and MINISTERED. And the TOTAL (Complete, whole) GOSPEL for TOTAL (Complete, Whole) MAN indicates, but not limited to:  

  • Sin forgiveness, which entails – Spiritual Emancipation of the deadened and depraved human spirit; 
  • Sound mind, which entails – Soul transformation by the WORD; and 
  • Bodily Healing which entails – Divine Health Restoration. 

DO YOU BELIEVE THIS GOSPEL STATEMENT AS SAID? 

“The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus BEGAN both to DO and TEACH, 2 until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given COMMANDMENTS unto the apostles whom he had chosen” Acts 1:1-2. 

Know this truth – MAN (a non-gender in term) is a triune being, meaning MAN is a spirit-being. Has a SOUL (with will, mind, reasoning, and emotion) and lives in a BODY (tripartite, clay, humus, sand, dust). The MAN in the HUMAN (HU-MAN) – that is, the MAN in the BODY (humus: clay, sand, dust) is a spirit-being. 

 Otherwise, the body (humus – clay, sand, dust) that we spend so much money to maintain as though it were so important, is nothing apart from the man that dwells in it. outside the MAN that dwells therein, hence at death, the BODY (humus – clay, sand, dust) that we spend so much money to maintain as though it were so important, is nothing apart from the man that dwells in it. [Genesis 2:7; Genesis 3:17-19] Hence at death, the BODY (humus: clay, sand, dust) is returned to the ground and left to decay and degrade into the ground from which it was made from creator God with the soul consciousness [Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 2:7; Revelation 4:11; Isaiah 45:11-12; Psalms 8:4-6]; and knowing full well, that while man was made by God, He breathed life into the hu-man in order to become a living soul-being [Genesis 2:7; Job 32:8; Job 33:4]. 

“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and BREATHED into his nostrils the BREATH of life; and man became a LIVING soul” Genesis 2:7. 

“But there is a spirit in man: and the INSPIRATION of the Almighty GIVETH them understanding” Job 32:8. 

“The Spirit of God hath made me, and the BREATH of the Almighty hath GIVEN me life” Job 33:4. 

And it is by the WORD – who is the person of Christ Jesus (Hebrews 4 :12-13; John 1:1-5; 1 John 5:7), who is the GOSPEL Himself, that when PREACHED, TAUGHT and MINISTERED, the total (complete, whole) man can be liberated by the pure, true, and wholesome GOSPEL. 

“And he said unto them, GO ye into all the world, and PREACH THE GOSPEL to every creature . . . 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and PREACHED everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming THE WORD with signs following. Amen” Mark 16:15-20. 

And by the blessed Holy Spirit that is given to us and that dwells in us [Romans 5:5; John 14:15-17], working in conjunction with THE WORD, He helps to energise and synergies us, ensuring that our mortal body is quickened – being kept alive daily -as we minister the Gospel to it accordingly. 

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead DWELL in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also QUICKEN your MORTAL BODIES by his Spirit that DWELLETH in you” Romans 8:11. 

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, though He is the Gospel, equally PREACHED, TAUGHT and MINISTERED the Gospel according to the Scriptures [Matthew 9:35; Luke 8:1-3]. And in His humanity, He also experienced the TOTAL (complete, whole) GOSPEL effect in His earthly life. [Luke 2:52; 1 Timothy 3:16]. This thus indicates that the GOSPEL is life and life-giving to all who will give attention to hear and receive it graciously and gracefully, when it is PREACHED, TAUGHT and MINISTERED accordingly. 

“And Jesus INCREASED in WISDOM (MENTAL) and STATURE (PHYSIQUE), and in FAVOUR with God (SPIRITUAL) and man (SOCIAL)” Luke 2 :52 Emphasis Mine. 

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was MANIFEST in the FLESH, JUSTIFIED in the Spirit, seen of angels, PREACHED unto the Gentiles, BELIEVED on in the world, RECEIVED up into glory” 1 Timothy 3:16. 

“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not BELIEVED? and how shall they BELIEVE in him of whom they have not HEARD? and how shall they HEAR without a PREACHER? 15 and how shall they PREACH, except they be sent? as it is written, How BEAUTIFUL are the feet of them that PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all OBEYED THE GOSPEL. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by HEARING, and HEARING by THE WORD of God” Romans 10:14-17. 

It’s my earnest prayer today and right now, that you experience the fulness of the TOTAL GOSPEL for your total wellbeing as you have this opportunity to read this GOSPEL message for your TOTAL (complete, whole) BEING. Give your hearing ears to hear only the TOTAL GOSPEL that emancipates and results in your complete wholeness – and nothing else that is contrary to your total wellbeing in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“And the very God of peace sanctify you WHOLLY; and I pray God your WHOLE spirit and soul and body be PRESERVED blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Thessalonians 5 :23.

SUMMARY 

This message is a declaration and teaching on THE TOTAL [COMPLETE][WHOLE] GOSPEL FOR THE TOTAL [COMPLETE][WHOLE] MAN — SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY. 

  1. THE FOUNDATION: MAN IS TRIUNE

Man is not just body. Man is a spirit-being, has a SOUL, and lives in a BODY Genesis 2:7; Job 32:8; Job 33:4. 
The body [humus/clay/dust] returns to the ground at death, but the MAN — the spirit-being with soul consciousness — returns to God Genesis 1:26-28; Revelation 4:11. 
Because of this, God’s plan for us is wholeness in all 3: “your WHOLE SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be PRESERVED blameless” 1 Thessalonians 5:23. 

  1. WHAT THE TOTAL GOSPEL COVERS

The TOTAL GOSPEL is for the TOTAL MAN. It is not farfetched or magical. It is what the Gospel IS and what it DOES when PREACHED, TAUGHT and MINISTERED. 
It includes: 

  • Sin Forgiveness → Spiritual Emancipation of the deadened human spirit 
  • Sound Mind → Soul Transformation by THE WORD 
  • Bodily Healing → Divine Health Restoration 

Jesus Himself is the Gospel. He BEGAN both to DO and TEACH Acts 1:1-2 and He experienced the TOTAL GOSPEL in humanity: “Jesus INCREASED in WISDOM [MENTAL], STATURE [PHYSIQUE], and in FAVOUR with God [SPIRITUAL] and man [SOCIAL]” Luke 2:52. 

  1. HOW WE RECEIVE WHOLENESS: WORD + SPIRIT

Wholeness comes by THE WORD, who is Christ Jesus John 1:1; Hebrews 4:12-13. 
The Gospel must be PREACHED so we can HEAR, BELIEVE, and CALL Romans 10:14-17. 
The Holy Spirit who DWELLS in us Romans 5:5; John 14:16-17 works with the Word to QUICKEN our MORTAL BODIES Romans 8:11 — keeping us energised and alive daily. 

  1. BIBLICAL EVIDENCE: “THY FAITH HATH MADE THEE WHOLE”

The message cites multiple examples of Jesus making people WHOLE — spirit, soul and body: 

  • Woman with issue of blood Matthew 9:20-22 
  • Blind Bartimaeus Mark 10:46-52 
  • The 10 lepers Luke 17:15-19 
  • Man at Bethesda John 5:1-15 — “Behold, thou art made whole: SIN NO MORE”

  • 1 Corinthians 1:24: Christ is THE POWER of God, and THE WISDOM of God 
  • 1 Corinthians 15:1-4: The core Gospel — Christ died, was buried, and rose again ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES — “by which also YE ARE SAVED” 
  • Matthew 24:14; Matthew 28:18-20: The mandate to PREACH and TEACH the Gospel to all nations until the end. 

CALL TO ACTION 

  1. RECEIVE IT NOW: Give your hearing ears toONLY the TOTAL GOSPELtoday. Believe it, receive it graciously and gracefully, and let it work in your spirit, soul and body for your total wellbeing in Christ Jesus’ stead.
  2. PONDER & PROCLAIM IT: Take time to study the Scriptures shared here. Let the Word judge your thoughts and intents Hebrews 4:12-13, and go PREACH, TEACH and MINISTER this TOTAL GOSPEL to others. 
  3. WALK IN IT DAILY: Yield to the Holy Spirit who dwells in you. Allow Him to QUICKEN your mortal body Romans 8:11 as you minister the Gospel to yourself daily.

LET’S KILL THAT SIELFISHNESS TODAY WITH UNSPEAKABLE JOY: LET’S MAKE THE SPIRIT OF GIVING – RULE THE DAY IN OUR WORLDS FOR OTHERS JOY! 

“Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with JOY UNSPEAKABLE and full of glory: 9 receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls” 1 Peter 1:6-9. 

I know sometimes it’s difficult to be out there for someone else when you are going through some personal challenges that are overwhelming too. 

But I have come to know and understand by God in Christ Jesus, that an exceeding great JOY — the unspeakable, indescribable, and immeasurable joy — is experienced in the loving act of GIVING FIRST to others, before our trinity self which I call — I, Me, and Myself, otherwise ascribed sometimes as the me, me, and me. 

For it takes the desire to extend that unspeakable joy to others to kill the spirit of selfishness and self-centred lifestyle. 

Living a selfless life toward God and man in Christ Jesus’ stead is the only way to bear along others’ burdens by the incredible opportunity that we may have that others don’t have. 

Life is about sharing the good and goodness with others who are vulnerable and limited in life resources — with our abundance, or even the so-called little we have, as the biblical widow’s mite, we’ve all heard or read about. 

“I have shewed you all things, HOW THAT SO LABOURING YE OUGHT TO SUPPORT THE WEAK, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, IT IS MORE BLESSED TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE” Acts 20:35. 

“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were RICH cast in much. 42 And there came a certain POOR widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this POOR WIDOW hath cast MORE in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44 for all they did cast in of their ABUNDANCE; but she of her WANT did cast in all that she had, even all her living” Mark 12:41-44 [Luke 21:1-4]. 

The word JOY to me means J for JESUS — as the first, O for OTHERS as the next, and Y for YOURSELF as the last. 

And I’ve found JOY indescribable and absolutely thrilling ever since I have learnt this act in my doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus’ stead through the years. 

And I highly recommend its application to you without prejudice, sentiments, and dissimulation, and it’s irrespective of whoever and whatever. 

For the act of love and loving is embedded in the spirit of GIVING to others first. Hence, God so loved that He GAVE first and the best — not leftovers and rejects. 

That’s how to kill the selfishness and selfish spirit in you and about you, in order to make love purposeful, meaningful, and fulfilling. 

“For God so LOVED the WORLD that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16. 

Therefore, TODAY, while and when it is called TODAY, think about what GOOD and GOODNESS that is in you in terms of – TIME, EFFORT, FINANCE, MATERIAL – that you can GIVE to make a huge and great difference in someone else’s life without complaining and murmuring. That’s what love and loving is all about – in giving to someone else first, before the you-self trinity within. Endeavour to give it a go today and even now. 

As said earlier, the fulness of JOY can be attributed as pleasing JESUS and OTHERS, then YOURSELF. Meaning preferring in this order as said FIRST [J] – Jesus and Second [O] – Others and before You [Y] – Yourself. 

The exceeding great JOY of God is of the heart, born in the human spirit of love and loving. Therefore, put an end to SELFISHNESS – and start LOVING, start GIVING today and even now as an ONWARD and UPWARD trajectory in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the LOVE of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us . . . 8 But God commendeth His LOVE toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:5, 8. 

I do pray that you may experience the exceeding great and fulness of God’s joy today as you express your acts of love and loving in the GIVING-FIRST spirit today.

“For God so LOVED the WORLD that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16. 

“GIVE, and it shall be GIVEN unto you; GOOD MEASURE, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men GIVE into your bosom. For with the SAME MEASURE that ye mete withal it shall be MEASURED to you again” Luke 6:38. 

“Thou wilt shew me the PATH OF LIFE: in thy presence is FULNESS OF JOY; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore” Psalms 16:11 

“When they saw the star, they REJOICED with EXCEEDING GREAT JOY” Matthew 2:10.

The message tells us that Selfishness dies when we choose to GIVE first. The spirit of GIVING rules our world and births UNSPEAKABLE JOY — the kind of JOY that puts JESUS first, OTHERS next, YOURSELF last. Today is the day to stop complaining and start LOVING through giving.

    Luke 6:38 — “GIVE, and it shall be GIVEN unto you; GOOD MEASURE, pressed down, and shaken together…” 
  1. THE J-O-Y PRINCIPLE
    JOY = Jesus first, Others next, Yourself last.
    The fulness of JOY is attributed to pleasing JESUS and OTHERS, then YOURSELF. 
    This order makes love purposeful, meaningful, and fulfilling. 

CALL TO ACTION: 

  • Examine your “WHATEVER” — What can you give today? 
  • Reject Selfishness — Choose the “you-self trinity” last. 
  • Give First — Like God did. Like the widow did. 
  • Expect Joy — Unspeakable joy comes when you bless others first. 
  • Live J-O-Y — Jesus, Others, Yourself. 

Final Word: 

Let’s make the SPIRIT OF GIVING rule the day in our worlds for OTHERS’ JOY. When we kill selfishness with giving, we experience the exceeding great JOY of God. IT IS MORE BLESSED TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE

GOD HEARS AND ANSWERS PRAYER: AND PRAYER – IT’S MORE OF A FELLOWSHIP TO ENHANCE RELATIONSHIP – AND IT’S THE COMMUNION TO CHANGE YOUR WORLDS! 

“O thou that HEAREST PRAYER, unto thee shall ALL FLESH come” Psalms 65:2. 

STOP COMPLAINING and PROCRASTINATING over your WHATEVER; 
and stop the piling up of that Mountain, Valley, Crooked Road, and Rough Places in pains. 

You can change that unpleasant WORLD’S atmosphere by PRAYER in grace — For God HEARS and ANSWERS Prayers. 

And PRAYER — It’s more a FELLOWSHIP — to enhance and influence our RELATIONSHIP with God. 
And it’s the COMMUNION to bring CHANGE for the good and goodness of our WORLD’S unpleasant circumstances and situations, as we do LIFE and GODLINESS in God’s BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

Therefore, give the act of PRAYER a GO today — even now, 
for PRAYER — CHANGES YOU and CHANGES THINGS that are about you. 
It will TRANSFORM and TRANSFIGURE you for the good and goodness. 

Therefore, give it a GO in your life for your wellbeing and be BLESSED in the now. Amen.

“And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to PRAY. 29 AND AS HE PRAYED, THE FASHION OF HIS COUNTENANCE WAS ALTERED (TRANSFORMED, TRANSFIGURED, DAZZLING), and his raiment was white and glistering . . .” Luke 9:28-36/Emphasis Mine.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent PRAYER of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours [with the same physical, mental, and spiritual limitations and shortcomings], and he PRAYED intensely for it not to rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. 18 Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its crops [as usual]” James 5:16-18/AMP. 

SUMMARY: 

The message urges us to STOP COMPLAINING and START PRAYING. Prayer is not just asking — it is FELLOWSHIP and COMMUNION with God that ENHANCES RELATIONSHIP and CHANGES your world. God HEARS and ANSWERS prayer. Prayer TRANSFORMS you and TRANSFIGURES your circumstances. 
Psalms 65:2 — “O thou that HEAREST PRAYER, unto thee shall ALL FLESH come”

    God is the One who HEARS PRAYER Psalms 65:2.

    PRAYER — IT’S MORE A FELLOWSHIP to enhance and influence our RELATIONSHIP with God.

    Prayer is how we do LIFE and GODLINESS in God’s BLESSEDNESS, in Christ Jesus’ stead. 
    Prayer bridges the gap. It’s not religion — it’s relationship. 
  1. PRAYER CHANGES YOU AND CHANGES THINGS
    PRAYER — CHANGES YOU and CHANGES THINGS that are about you.
    Luke 9:28-29 — “AND AS HE PRAYED, THE FASHION OF HIS COUNTENANCE WAS ALTERED [TRANSFORMED, TRANSFIGURED, DAZZLING].” 
    When you pray, you are TRANSFORMED and TRANSFIGURED for the good and goodness. 
    James 5:16-18 — The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man is dynamic and has tremendous power. Elijah prayed and it stopped raining. He prayed again and the rain came. 
  1. STOP PROCRASTINATING — GIVE PRAYER A GO TODAY
    Stop complaining and procrastinating over your WHATEVER.
    You can change the unpleasant atmosphere of your world by PRAYER in grace. 
    Therefore, give the act of PRAYER a GO today — even now. 
    For your wellbeing, for your situation, for your world — PRAY and be BLESSED in the now. Amen. 

CALL TO ACTION: 

  • Stop Complaining — Complaining builds mountains. Prayer moves them. 
  • Pursue Fellowship — Go to God not just for things, but for relationship. 
  • Pray Boldly — Come to the throne of grace. God hears and answers. 
  • Pray Persistently — Like Elijah. Your prayer is powerful and effective. 
  • Expect Transformation — Prayer will change you first, then it will change your world. 

Final Word: 

The world’s atmosphere changes on its knees. Don’t wait. Don’t procrastinate. PRAYER WORKS. PRAYER PAYS. GOD HEARS AND ANSWERS PRAYER.

THE GOSPEL – THE POWER OF GOD FOR HUMAN EMANCIPATION: IT’S OUR GLOBAL AND INESCAPABLE SUPREME TASK! 

“For though I PREACH THE GOSPEL, I have NOTHING TO GLORY of: for NECESSITY is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I PREACH NOT THE GOSPEL! 17 For if I do this thing WILLINGLY, I have a REWARD: but if AGAINST my will, a DISPENSATION of THE GOSPEL is COMMITTED unto me” 1 Corinthians 9:16-17. 

WHY do people get so worried that in the existence and presence of the Church — the embassy and ambassador of God for human and world redemption — that the world is still going crazy in stupidity and foolishness, and in every bad taste of trajectory with wars, hunger, distortion, confusion, and unstable governments and governance? 

The answer is simply this: for all the unimaginable problems in the world, all that the world does hear and see today is nothing but RELIGION and DENOMINATION and DOCTRINAL sectarianism, sentiments, prejudice, and dissimulation. 

Unlike the early Church Disciples and Apostles of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, who PREACHED THE GOSPEL and were acclaimed as people who turned their world inside out or upside down by the GOSPEL they proclaimed — and who were set to die for the cause and course. 

“. . . 6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have TURNED THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN ARE COME hither also . . .” Acts 17:1-7 

“Now when they saw the BOLDNESS of Peter and John, and PERCEIVED that they were UNLEARNED and IGNORANT men, they marvelled; and they took KNOWLEDGE of them, that they had BEEN with Jesus. 14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it” Acts 4:13. 

FOR A WORLD WITHOUT THE GOSPEL in any phase and dispensation, will indicate all the worries of today and such like that we see. 

For only by THE GOSPEL can the world experience EMANCIPATION from all known and unknown bondages, in order to have faith toward God’s SALVATION in Christ Jesus, and to receive the REVELATION by faith to faith, of God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS [righteous stand] for the complete liberation of all.

The consummation of God’s plan for man’s salvation with religion, denomination, and doctrinal sect DOGMAS will not emancipate anyone, no matter how much investment and resources. Instead, it will get people enslaved in the DOGMAS and keep them devoted in commitment and dedication to such-like sectarianism of belief, as we see across the board. 

Religiously denominationalised and doctrinal “GOSPEL” are very destructive and keep people in perpetual subjection, bondages, and dogmas as long as it is there. 

That’s why Apostle Paul warned the Galatian Church of their shift from the Gospel that brought them genuine salvation into “ANOTHER GOSPEL” Galatians 1:6-9. 

“I marvel that ye are so soon REMOVED from him that CALLED you into the grace of Christ unto ANOTHER GOSPEL: 7 which is NOT ANOTHER; but there be SOME that TROUBLE you, and would PERVERT THE GOSPEL of Christ. 8 But though WE, or AN ANGEL from heaven, PREACH ANY OTHER GOSPEL unto you than that which we have PREACHED unto you, let him be ACCURSED. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man PREACH any OTHER GOSPEL unto you than that ye have RECEIVED, let him be ACCURSED” Galatians 1:6-9. 

For the GOSPEL is not a religion, denomination and doctrine but the POWER and WISDOM of God for all human salvation irrespective of gender, colour, tongue and geographical location and inclinations. [Acts 17:24-30; Revelation 5:9-10; Romans 1:16-17; Romans 3:26-29]. 

THE GOSPEL has been before the law, the psalms, and the prophets; 
and it answered those who are outbound and out-bent by the law, psalms, and prophets as the basis and ground of faith toward God and His Christ — rather than the gospel, which is Christ, and expressed in the WORD, of which He is the WORD. 
John 1:1-5, 14; 1 John 5:7 

God PREACHED THE GOSPEL to Father Abraham, through whom the whole nation and families of the earth shall be BLESSED — long before the law, the psalms, the prophets, and others came into being. 
Galatians 3:8 

Meaning also, long before religion, denomination, and doctrine were crafted and shaped by men for all to be enslaved into as a sect.  

“Even as Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was ACCOUNTED to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the HEATHEN through faith, PREACHED BEFORE THE GOSPEL unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall ALL NATIONS BE BLESSED. 9 So then they which be of faith are BLESSED with faithful Abraham” Galatians 3:6-9 [2 Corinthians 5:17-21]. 

“Now the Lord had SAID unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 and I will make of thee a GREAT NATION, and I will BLESS thee, and make thy name great; AND THOU SHALT BE A BLESSING: 3 and I will BLESS them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall ALL FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED” Genesis 12:1-3. 

I am emboldened to say today, that any FOUNDATION that’s not centered on the GOSPEL wherein God’s power and wisdom are ascertained for human SALVATION and RIGHTEOUSNESS, leads to SELF, HYPE and APPLAUD and ENTITLEMENTS of men and not after God and His Christ Jesus, for the good of all mankind in Christ Jesus stead. [1 Corinthians 1:18-24]. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“For though I PREACH THE GOSPEL, I have NOTHING TO GLORY of: for NECESSITY is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I PREACH NOT THE GOSPEL! 17 For if I do this thing WILLINGLY, I have a REWARD: but if AGAINST my will, a DISPENSATION of THE GOSPEL is COMMITTED unto me” 1 Corinthians 9:16-17. 

“For I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL of Christ: for it is THE POWER of God unto SALVATION to every one that believeth; to the JEW first, and also to the GREEK. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith” Romans 1:16-17. 

“How then shall they CALL on him in whom they have NOT BELIEVED? and how shall they BELIEVE in him of whom they have NOT HEARD? and how shall they HEAR without a PREACHER? 15 and how shall they PREACH, except they be SENT? as it is written, How BEAUTIFUL are the FEET of them that PREACH THE GOSPEL of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the GOSPEL. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath BELIEVED our report? 17 So then FAITH cometh by HEARING, and HEARING by THE WORD of God” Romans 10:14-17. 

“Yea, so have I strived to PREACH THE GOSPEL, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation: 21 but as it is written, To whom he was NOT SPOKEN of, they shall see: and they that have NOT HEARD shall understand” Romans 15:20-21. 

“Some indeed PREACH Christ even of ENVY and STRIFE; and some also of GOOD WILL: 16 the one PREACH Christ of CONTENTION, NOT SINCERELY, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: 17 but the other of LOVE, knowing that I am set for the defence of the GOSPEL. 18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in PRETENCE, or in TRUTH, Christ is PREACHED; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice” Philippians 1:15-18. 

“And this GOSPEL of the kingdom shall be PREACHED in all the world for a WITNESS unto all nations; and then shall the end come” Matthew 24:14. 

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All POWER is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 GO ye therefore, and TEACH all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 TEACHING them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” Matthew 28:18-20. 

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and PREACH THE GOSPEL to every creature . . . 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and PREACHED every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming THE WORD with signs following. Amen” Mark 16:15-20. 

“But ye shall receive POWER, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be WITNESSES unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” Acts 1:8. 

“. . . 4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where PREACHING THE WORD. 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and PREACHED Christ unto them. 6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city” Acts 8:1-8. 

SUMMARY: 

The message teaches us that the world’s problems will not be solved by RELIGION, DENOMINATION, or DOCTRINE. Only THE GOSPEL — the Power and Wisdom of God — can emancipate humanity from all bondage, reveal God’s Righteousness, and bring true salvation. Preaching the Gospel is not optional. It is a NECESSITY, a DISPENSATION committed to the Church, and our supreme global task. 
1 Corinthians 9:16 — “woe is unto me, if I PREACH NOT THE GOSPEL!” 
Romans 1:16 — “For I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL of Christ: for it is THE POWER of God unto SALVATION” 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. WHY THE WORLD IS STILL IN CHAOS DESPITE THE CHURCH 
    The Church is God’s embassy and ambassador for world redemption. Yet the world is still full of wars, hunger, confusion, and unstable governance. 
    Why? Because what the world sees today is not THE GOSPEL, but RELIGION, DENOMINATION, and DOCTRINAL SECTARIANISM — sentiments, prejudice, and dissimulation. 
    Unlike the early Church Disciples and Apostles who PREACHED THE GOSPEL and “TURNED THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN” Acts 17:6. They were men who had “BEEN WITH JESUS” Acts 4:13 and were willing to die for the cause. 
  1. THE GOSPEL IS THE ONLY MEANS OF EMANCIPATION
    FOR A WORLD WITHOUT THE GOSPEL, all the worries we see today will continue. 
    Only by THE GOSPEL can the world experience EMANCIPATION from all known and unknown bondages. 
    It produces FAITH toward God’s SALVATION in Christ Jesus and the REVELATION by faith to faith of God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS [righteous stand] for complete liberation Romans 1:16-17; Romans 5:1-2. 

Religion, denomination, and doctrinal DOGMAS cannot emancipate. No matter the investment, they only enslave people in commitment to sectarian belief. 
A religiously denominationalised “gospel” keeps people in perpetual subjection and bondage. 
That’s why Paul warned the Galatians against shifting to “ANOTHER GOSPEL” Galatians 1:6-9 — “let him be ACCURSED.” 

  1. THE GOSPEL IS NOT RELIGION — IT IS CHRIST, THE POWER AND WISDOM OF GOD
    The Gospel is not a religion, denomination, or doctrine. 
    It is THE POWER and WISDOM of God for all human salvation — irrespective of gender, colour, tongue, or location 1 Corinthians 1:18-24; Acts 17:24-30; Revelation 5:9-10. 

THE GOSPEL PRECEDED THE LAW, PSALMS, AND PROPHETS. 
It answered those who were “outbound and out-bent” by the law. The Gospel IS CHRIST, expressed in the WORD, of which He is the WORD John 1:1-5, 14. 

GOD PREACHED THE GOSPEL TO ABRAHAM Galatians 3:8 — “In thee shall ALL NATIONS BE BLESSED” Genesis 12:1-3, long before religion, denomination, and doctrine were crafted by men to enslave. 
Galatians 3:6-9 — Those of faith are children of Abraham and are BLESSED with him. 

  1. PREACHING THE GOSPEL IS A NECESSITY AND A DISPENSATION 
    1 Corinthians 9:16-17 — Paul said preaching the Gospel is a NECESSITY laid on him. To preach willingly brings REWARD. To refuse is disobedience to a DISPENSATION COMMITTED to him. 

The Great Commission: 
Matthew 24:14 — The Gospel of the Kingdom must be preached in all the world as a witness. 
Matthew 28:18-20 — GO and TEACH all nations. 
Mark 16:15-20 — PREACH THE GOSPEL to every creature. The Lord will confirm the Word with signs. 
Acts 1:8 — You shall receive POWER to be WITNESSES to the uttermost part of the earth. 
Romans 10:14-17 — How shall they believe without a preacher? FAITH cometh by HEARING, and HEARING by THE WORD of God. 

  1. THE WARNING: PREACH THE TRUE GOSPEL, NOT ANOTHER 
    Some preach Christ out of ENVY, STRIFE, CONTENTION, and PRETENCE Philippians 1:15-18. 
    But the true Gospel must be preached in TRUTH and LOVE for the defence of the Gospel. 
    Any foundation not centred on the Gospel leads to SELF, HYPE, APPLAUD, and ENTITLEMENTS of men, not after God and Christ 1 Corinthians 1:18-24. 
  1. THE RESULT OF GOSPEL PREACHING 
    Acts 8:1-8 — When Philip preached Christ, there was great joy in the city. Demons came out, the sick were healed. 
    The Gospel brings liberation, joy, and the manifestation of God’s power. 

CALL TO ACTION: 

THIS IS OUR GLOBAL AND INESCAPABLE SUPREME TASK 

  • Preach THE GOSPEL, not religion — Let go of sectarianism, dogma, and denominational hype. 
  • Be willing to die for the cause — Like the early Apostles who turned the world upside down. 
  • Go to where Christ has not been named — Romans 15:20-21. Build on the foundation of Christ. 
  • Let faith work — Preach so people can HEAR, BELIEVE, and be SAVED Romans 10:17. 
  • Guard the Gospel — Reject “another gospel.” Christ crucified is the Power of God unto salvation. 

Final Word: 

The world is not waiting for another denomination. The world is waiting for THE GOSPEL. It is the Power of God. It is our NECESSITY. It is our TASK. And until it is preached, the world remains in bondage.

WHILE WAITING – SERVE: THE KINGDOM IS ABOUT SERVING AND NOT LORDSHIP! 

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. 18 Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: SO HE THAT WAITETH ON HIS MASTER SHALL BE HONOURED. 19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man” Proverbs 27:17-19. 

IF YOU DESIRE to be honoured as the greatest and chiefest in the Kingdom, set your heart to SERVE. 

So, while waiting upon the Lord for whatever, keep the spirit of service alive. 

And while you serve, you need to serve in love and through love to whosoever, irrespective, and without sentiments, prejudice, and dissimulation. 

For the faith to function while waiting is only activated and sustained through love. 

And love is active and not passive, and its presence is known through service or serving. 

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but FAITH WORKING THROUGH LOVE . . . 13 For you, brethren, have been CALLED to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but THROUGH LOVE SERVE one another” Galatians 5:6, 13/NKJV.  

IN THE KINGDOM, the way UP is DOWN, while in the world it’s UP — oppressing others instead of serving. 

Anyone who desires honour and to be exalted by the Lord God should be found humbled in serving and not in lordship [James 4:5-10; James 5:7-11; 1 Peter 5:5-6]. 

And while waiting to renew, refresh, rejuvenate, rekindle, and energise your strength in the Lord as the eagle, be found serving and not idling away precious time of service for irrelevant things [Isaiah 40:28-31]. 

And if you desire to lead, the hallmark is serving. Are you prepared to serve? 

You are asking God and WAITING on Him to endow you with such huge BLESSEDNESS of the Kingdom — is it that you intend to SERVE? 

God watches and sees through hearts to know the motives and context of a thing — if it serves and suffices the end goal of His Kingdom causes, or if it’s for your selfishness, self-centredness, pride and arrogance and show-off, rather than to use it to serve others as a vessel of honour.

“Have you not known? 

Have you not heard? 

The everlasting God, the Lord, 

The Creator of the ends of the earth, 

Neither faints nor is weary. 

His understanding is unsearchable. 

29 He gives power to the weak, 

And to those who have no might He increases strength. 

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, 

And the young men shall utterly fall, 

31 But those who WAIT on the Lord 

Shall RENEW their strength; 

They shall mount up with wings like eagles, 

They shall run and not be weary,

SUMMARY: 

In the Kingdom of God, greatness is not achieved by position, power, or waiting idly. It is achieved by SERVING in love while you WAIT on the Lord. The way UP in the Kingdom is DOWN through humility and service. 
Proverbs 27:18 — “SO HE THAT WAITETH ON HIS MASTER SHALL BE HONOURED.”

  1. THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE: SERVE TO BE HONOURED
    If youdesire to be honoured as the greatest and chiefest in the Kingdom, set your heart to SERVE. 
    Matthew 23:11-12 — “he who is GREATEST among you shall be your SERVANT… he who humbles himself will be exalted” 
    Luke 22:25-27 — kings of the world exercise lordship, but in the Kingdom, the greatest must be as the one who SERVES. 
    In the world the way UP is by oppressing. In the Kingdom the way UP is DOWN through service.  
  1. WHILE WAITING — KEEP THE SPIRIT OF SERVICE ALIVE
    Waiting on God is not idleness. It is active.
    Isaiah 40:28-31 — Those who WAIT on the Lord shall RENEW their strength like eagles. 
    While you wait to be refreshed, renewed, and energised, be found serving and not wasting time on irrelevant things. 
    Honour comes to those who serve their Master while waiting. Proverbs 27:18 
  1. SERVICE MUST BE IN LOVE
    Faith while waiting is activated and sustained through LOVE.
    Galatians 5:6 — “FAITH WORKING THROUGH LOVE” 
    Galatians 5:13 — “THROUGH LOVE SERVE one another” 
    Love is active, not passive. Its presence is proven through service. 
    Serve whosoever, irrespective, without sentiments, prejudice, or dissimulation. 
  1. GOD EXAMINES MOTIVE, NOT JUST ACTIVITY
    You are asking God and WAITING on Him for BLESSEDNESS.
    The question is: is it that you intend to SERVE? 
    God sees the heart. He knows if your desire is for His Kingdom causes, or for selfishness, self-centredness, pride, arrogance, and show-off. 
    He wants vessels of honour who will use His blessing to serve others.  
  1. LEADERSHIP = SERVANTHOOD
    If youdesire to lead, the hallmark is serving. 
    INFORMED LEADERS serve with humility. RULERS lord it over people. 
    James 4:5-10; 1 Peter 5:5-6 — Humble yourself under God and He will exalt you. 
  1. IRON SHARPENS IRON
    Proverbs 27:17-19 — As iron sharpens iron and face answers face in water, so service sharpens us and reveals the heart of man to man.
    Serving others refines us while we wait.  

CALL TO ACTION: 

  • While Waiting: Serve — Don’t idle. Use your waiting season to serve people in love. 
  • Reject Lordship, Embrace Servanthood — Greatness in the Kingdom is measured by how low you are willing to go to serve. 
  • Check Your Motive — Are you seeking God’s blessing to serve, or to be served? God honours servants, not those seeking lordship. 
  • Let Faith Work Through Love — Your faith is proven by your service. 

Final Word: 

The Kingdom rewards servants, not lords. While you WAIT on God for renewal and BLESSEDNESS, SERVE. That is how you are sharpened, honoured, and prepared for greater.

THE UNDERSTANDING FOR WISDOM

THE UNDERSTANDING FOR WISDOM: GET THE UNDERSTANDING IN ALL YOUR KNOWING! 

“WISDOM is the PRINCIPAL thing; therefore get WISDOM: and with ALL thy getting GET UNDERSTANDING” Proverbs 4:7. 

WHEN PEOPLE FAIL BADLY IN LIFE AND GODLINESS 
It is not merely only for not KNOWING — it is also for not UNDERSTANDING what they claim to know, and the PURPOSE and CONTEXT of a given cause to them. 

Hence, I have always said, and I will always say again and again that: 
“UNTIL YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU CLAIM TO KNOW OR TO HAVE KNOWN IN ANY MATTER OF LIFE AND GODLINESS, YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN THE IGNORANT.” 

Having an idea is good. KNOWING and UNDERSTANDING your idea is another ball game. 

I have seen the assumed rich fall from penthouse glory to become beggars. 
And I have also seen the once poverty-stricken rise from grass to grace through KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING of the context of what is known, in doing life and godly living. 

When the assumed rich only land into wealth by mere knowledge born out of opportunity and zealousness, and without the understanding of the context — the know-how to sustain that position — the expectation fails woefully. 

In the same scenario, if a once poverty-stricken person takes to knowledge, accompanied with the know-how, and with the understanding of the demand of such context, certainly that person in that journey will arrive and live up to the demand to sustain and maintain it. 

This is the how to do life in godliness, in all matters and in the face of likely challenges in life. 
This is the how to weather through the set conditions to the matter in question. 
And this is the how to become in the midst of the irrelevance about the context.  

“While the EARTH remaineth, SEEDTIME and HARVEST, and COLD and HEAT, and SUMMER and WINTER, and DAY and NIGHT shall not cease” Genesis 8:22. 

Knowing your spouse is good, but if you don’t UNDERSTAND each other, there’s going to be a bomb explosion one day. 

That’s why a lack of the KNOWING and UNDERSTANDING of the PURPOSE of a relationship leads to an abusive [abnormal use] relationship. 

So, be intentional and pragmatic to strive to know and understand your spouse in your relationship day by day, so that you can keep blossoming, refreshing, rekindling, and rejuvenating in all weathers. 
Do this in order to ensure you are living in answered prayers in life. 

For WISDOM IS the application of KNOWLEDGE, which is the by-access to UNDERSTANDING leading to deliverance and BLESSEDNESS in the grace. 

And it is through KNOWLEDGE we can grasp the BLESSEDNESS of God unto fulfilment, in life and grace in Christ Jesus’ stead. 
Amen. 

“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to KNOWLEDGE, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered . . .” 1 Peter 3:7-12. 

“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 according as His DIVINE POWER hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” 2 Peter 1:2-4. 

Being educated and informed in a career or trade is good, but not understanding your career or trade will cause a problem to you and others one day – leading to loss of trust, financial power, personnel and such like. For as the saying goes: 

“A BAD WORKMAN QUARRELS WITH HIS TOOLS” 

Being a Gospel Minister is a gracious privilege, but not understanding the context and etiquette of being a Shepherd in looking well over God’s heritage will make you a hypocrite, arrogant, erroneous and a wolf in sheep clothing. Instead of being the CHIEF SERVANT to SERVE, you become the CHIEF LORDSHIP over God’s heritage. And we know in God’s set plan: humility in His service breeds His exaltation anything otherwise, God despises and brings to a fall. Mark 10:35-45; Hebrews 5:7-9; Philippians 2:1-11; James 4:6-7, 10; 1 Peter 5:5-6. 

To be in any Leadership and management in private, non-governmental government, or other public position of making decision is good, but if you lack the UNDERSTANDING for leadership and governance, you will destroy the people’s invested TIME, EFFORTS, MATERIAL and FINANCE under your watch. It takes INFORMED – knowledgeable and understandable – LEADERS, to LEAD and GOVERN with humane and empathy while the UNINFORMED – with insufficient knowledge and understanding – ends up being RULERS – bossy, authoritarian, autocratic and emperor like. And I say to you today and now – WHICH ARE YOU – A LEADER or A RULER? 

More so, a LACK of UNDERSTANDING toward a set PRINCIPLE, will cause you to always REACT, make excuses and blame others for your inadequacy and failure. It will cause you to not take the RESPONSIBILITY and ACCOUNTABILITY for your actions – also, a lack of PURPOSEFUL UNDERSTANDING to achieving meaningful RESULTS. 

UNDERSTANDING the PURPOSE of a thing, is the needed enabling grace in order to achieve in life under God meaningfully and to be fulfilled in any driven cause too. Also, a lack of ALL NEEDED UNDERSTANDING to a cause, makes people live a life without meaningful PURPOSE and FULFILMENT for themselves and others. 

WISDOM equals to KNOWLEDGE plus UNDERSTANDING. And it’s based on PRINCIPLE; it’s scripturally GOOD and PROFITABLE in doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus stead; and it’s a DEFENCE and life GIVING to one’s LIFE ESSENCE. I plead with you therefore to pursue after UNDERSTANDING in your about KNOWING for your own good. Understanding helps one to APPLY in context of the known thereby achieving meaningfully and purposefully in fulfilment of one’s endeavour. WISDOM IS THE APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE WITH UNDERSTANDING.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“Wisdom is GOOD with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. 12 For wisdom is a DEFENCE, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom GIVETH life to them that have it” Ecclesiastes 7:11-12. 

“WISDOM is the PRINCIPAL thing; therefore get WISDOM: and with ALL thy getting GET UNDERSTANDING” Proverbs 4:7. 

“Good UNDERSTANDING giveth FAVOUR: but the way of TRANSGRESSORS is HARD (DIFFICULT, UNPRODUCTIVE, TASKMASTER LIKE)” Proverbs 13:15 Emphasis Mine. 

“The man that WANDERETH out of THE WAY of UNDERSTANDING shall REMAIN in the CONGREGATION of the DEAD (UNPRODUCTIVE, OBSCURED, SLOTHFUL, SLUGGARD, MEAN)“ Proverbs 21:16 Emphasis Mine. 

“Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my PRAYERS; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may GIVE unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the KNOWLEDGE of him: 18 the eyes of your UNDERSTANDING being enlightened; that ye may KNOW what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints . . .” Ephesians 1:15-23. 

SUMMARY 

This message is a charge to pursue UNDERSTANDING as the principal thing. The message declares that failure in life and godliness is not just from not KNOWING, but from not UNDERSTANDING the purpose and context of what we know. 
Anchored on Proverbs 4:7 — “WISDOM is the PRINCIPAL thing; therefore, get WISDOM: and with ALL thy getting GET UNDERSTANDING” 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING LEADS TO FAILURE
    Proverbs 21:16— The man that wanders out of the way of UNDERSTANDING shall remain in the congregation of the dead. 
    Examples: 
  • The “assumed rich” fall from penthouse to beggar when they have knowledge/zeal but no understanding of how to sustain it. 
  • The once poor rise from grass to grace when they combine knowledge + understanding + know-how. 
    Genesis 8:22 — Life operates by seedtime, harvest, seasons. You must understand the context to succeed. 
  1. UNDERSTANDING IN RELATIONSHIPS
    1 Peter 3:7 — “dwell with them according to KNOWLEDGE”
    Knowing your spouse is good, but not UNDERSTANDING each other leads to “bomb explosion” and abusive [abnormal-use] relationships. 
    Be intentional daily to know and understand so you keep blossoming, refreshing, and live in answered prayers. 
    WISDOM IS the application of knowledge which gives access to understanding → deliverance and blessedness. 
  1. UNDERSTANDING IN CAREER, TRADE & MINISTRY
    “A BAD WORKMAN QUARRELS WITH HIS TOOLS” — Lack of understanding in your career leads to loss of trust, finance, and personnel.
    Gospel Ministry: Without understanding the context of being a Shepherd, you become hypocritical, arrogant, and a wolf in sheep’s clothing. 
    Instead of CHIEF SERVANT to SERVE, you become CHIEF OF LORDSHIP. 
    Mark 10:35-45; 1 Peter 5:5-6 — Humility breeds exaltation. God despises pride. 
  1. UNDERSTANDING IN LEADERSHIP & GOVERNANCE
    To lead in private, NGO, or government is good, but without UNDERSTANDING you will destroy people’s TIME, EFFORTS, MATERIALS, and FINANCES.
    INFORMED LEADERS lead with humanity and empathy. 
    UNINFORMED RULERS become bossy, authoritarian, autocratic, emperor-like. 
    Question: WHICH ARE YOU — A LEADER or A RULER?  
  1. UNDERSTANDING AND PRINCIPLE
    A LACK of UNDERSTANDING toward principle makes you REACT, make excuses, blame others, and avoid RESPONSIBILITY and ACCOUNTABILITY.
    It also leads to lack of PURPOSEFUL UNDERSTANDING and no meaningful RESULTS. 
    UNDERSTANDING the PURPOSE of a thing is the enabling grace to achieve meaningfully and be fulfilled under God. 
    Without it, people live without PURPOSE and FULFILMENT. 
  2. THE FORMULA: WISDOM
    WISDOM = KNOWLEDGE + UNDERSTANDING 
    It is based on PRINCIPLE. It is scripturally GOOD and PROFITABLE for godly living Ecclesiastes 7:11-12. 
    Wisdom is a DEFENCE and LIFE-GIVING to one’s LIFE ESSENCE. 
    2 Peter 1:2-4 — Through the KNOWLEDGE of God and Jesus, His divine power gives us all things for life and godliness. 
    Ephesians 1:17-18 — Pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation, and eyes of UNDERSTANDING being enlightened.

  • Pursue UNDERSTANDING — In all your getting, get understanding Proverbs 4:7. Don’t just know. Understand the purpose and context. 
  • Apply What You Know — Understanding helps you APPLY in context and fulfil your endeavour meaningfully. 
  • Take Responsibility — Stop reacting and blaming. Walk in accountability under God’s principles. 
  • Live by Wisdom — Let knowledge + understanding produce wisdom that defends you, gives life, and leads to blessedness in Christ Jesus’ stead.
