“Your WORD is a LAMP to my feet And a LIGHT to my path . . . 130 The ENTRANCE OF YOUR WORDS GIVES LIGHT; It gives understanding to the simple” Psalms 119:105, 130.

“He sent HIS WORD, and HEALED them, and delivered them from their destructions” Psalms 107:20. 

“My son, pay attention to MY WORDS and be willing to learn; Open your ears to my sayings 21 Do not let them escape from your sight; Keep them in the center of your heart. 22 For they are LIFE to those who find them, And HEALING AND HEALTH TO ALL THEIR FLESH. 23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life” Proverbs 4:20-23 (Amplified).  

“For THE WORD of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the SOUL and SPIRIT [the completeness of a person], and of both JOINTS and MARROW [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, and revealed to the eyes of Him with whom we have to give account” Hebrews 4:12-13 (Amplified). 

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [that is, separate you from profane and vulgar things, make you pure and whole and undamaged—consecrated to Him—set apart for His purpose]; and may your SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be kept complete and [be found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (Amplified).  

“And the very God of peace SANCTIFY you WHOLLY; and I pray God your WHOLE spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Thessalonians 5:23.

It Informs: It gives blessed information that brings eternal life. 

It Transforms: It changes anyone who gives intentional attention to it. 
It is described as inspiring, revealing, and empowering and it speaks to all ages, genders, and races.

For HEALING AND DELIVERANCE

Proverbs 4:20-23 AMP“For they are LIFE to those who find them, and HEALING AND HEALTH TO ALL THEIR FLESH… For from it flow the springs of life.” 
Paying attention to the Word guards the heart and produces health in the body.

THE WORD OF GOD

THE WORD OF GOD: THE LIFE & LIVING GRACE OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT-BEING! 

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall NOT LIVE by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” Matthew 4:4 [Luke 4:4]. 

Man is a spirit-being. 
He has a soul — the subconscious of the will, emotion, intellect, and faculty of reasoning — and he lives in a body made of dust, clay and sand. 

There is the need to FEED the man in your human, for that man in your human is your spirit. 
Meaning, you ARE a spirit-being, you HAVE a soul, and you LIVE in a body. 

Your definition is in your spirit-being because it is eternal. 
It gives life and living to your soul and body, and connects your whole being to the heavenly, so that you may have a life and a living that is godly and divinely linked. 

Therefore, synchronise your whole — total, complete — being as a spirit, in order to energise and synergise your soul and body by THE WORD of God, for your now, today and tomorrow in the grace.

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, THE WORD, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one” 1 John 5:7. 

SUMMARY: 
This message centres on the truth that man’s primary need is spiritual nourishment. It teaches that because man is fundamentally a spirit-being, his life, strength and definition come from THE WORD of God, not just from physical things. 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. THE FOUNDATIONAL TRUTH:MANLIVES BY THE WORD 

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall NOT LIVE by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” Matthew 4:4  
Jesus establishes that physical bread sustains the body, but the spirit-man is sustained by every Word from God. Spiritual feeding is not optional, it is essential for life. 

  1. THE COMPOSITION OF MAN: SPIRIT,SOULAND BODY 

Man is a spirit-being. 
He HAS a soul — the subconscious of the will, emotion, intellect, and faculty of reasoning — and he LIVES in a body made of dust, clay and sand. 
Meaning, you ARE a spirit-being, you HAVE a soul, and you LIVE in a body. 
Your true definition and identity is in your eternal spirit-being. It is the spirit that gives life to your soul and body, and connects your whole being to the heavenly realm so that your life can be godly and divinely linked. 

Genesis 2:7 — “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” 
This shows the origin: body from dust, spirit from God’s breath, resulting in a living soul. 

Job 32:8 — “But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.” 
Job 33:4 — “The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.” 
The human spirit is the part that receives divine inspiration, understanding and life.  

  1. THE CONDITION OF THE SPIRIT AFFECTSTHE WHOLE MAN

The state of your spirit directly impacts your soul and body. 
Proverbs 18:14 — “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a WOUNDED spirit who can bear?” 
Proverbs 17:22 — “A MERRY heart [human spirit] doeth good like a medicine: but a BROKEN spirit [human spirit] drieth the bones.” 
A strong, healthy spirit sustains you. A wounded or broken spirit weakens the entire person. Hence the urgent need to feed and strengthen the spirit. 

  1. HOW THE SPIRIT IS FED AND SYNCHRONISED: BYTHE WORD

Therefore, you must synchronise your whole — total, complete — being as a spirit, in order to energise and synergise your soul and body by THE WORD of God, for your now, today and tomorrow in the grace. 

Hebrews 4:12-13 — “For THE WORD of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” 
The Word feeds the spirit, separates soul from spirit, and brings clarity to the inner man. 

1 Thessalonians 5:23 — “And the very God of peace SANCTIFY you WHOLLY [TOTALLY, COMPLETELY]; and I pray God your WHOLE spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 
God’s desire is for your entire being — spirit, soul and body — to be sanctified and preserved. This happens as you are fed by the Word.  

  1. THE WORDIS PERSONAL: CHRIST HIMSELF 

John 1:1-5, 14 — “In the beginning was THE WORD, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD was God… In him was life; and THE LIFE was the light of men… And THE WORD was made FLESH [HUMAN] and dwelt among us…” 
1 John 5:7 — “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, THE WORD, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” 
To feed on THE WORD is to feed on Christ. The Word is not just text; it is the living Person who gives life and light. 

In one sentence: 
Because you are a spirit-being living in a body, your true life and strength comes from feeding your spirit with THE WORD of God, so that your whole being is energised, sanctified and divinely linked.

THE HIGHER LAW – THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS

THE HIGHER LAW – THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS: ASSURED THE TRUTH THAT GIVES FREEDOM FROM THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH!  

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” John 14:6 

“As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you ABIDE [CONTINUE] in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH shall make you FREE” John 8:30-32/Amplified. 

Every day, and in every phase of doing life, people crave TRUTH, without THE TRUTH. 

Employers want people of good character, with the assurance that such people will uphold the truth. 
The people elect leaders, and leaders appoint people to places of leadership and governance, on the basis that they will uphold the truth and be truthful in character. 
And people look to families, friends, colleagues, business partners, relationships, religious leaders and such like, with the hope that truth will be upheld in every situation. 

Unfortunately, that does not become the reality — because THE TRUTH is not factored into the context of truth, though it is expected. And that makes it elusive in so many ways. 

The simple reason for this is that people are not in tune with the higher law: the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:2 
So over time, people have lied, and are still lying, by using the language of righteousness to mislead people in their unrighteous acts of doing life as it is written: 

“For [God does not OVERLOOK sin and] the WRATH of God is REVEALED from heaven against all UNGODLINESS and UNRIGHTEOUSNESS of men who in their WICKEDNESS SUPPRESS and STIFLE THE TRUTH, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them” Romans 1:18-19/Amplified  

What then is THE TRUTH, and how can THE TRUTH factor into our being to become our reality in doing life and living godly in the grace? 

THE TRUTH is Jesus! He is not truth but THE TRUTH John 14:6. 
And when He is not factored into the context of our doing life and living godly in the grace, we fall into make-believe truth and not THE TRUTH. 

For THE TRUTH operates in the realm of the higher law — the law of the Spirit of life life-giving — that is in Christ Jesus Romans 8:2. 
And it is in the working of this higher law that we are set free. We receive FREEDOM from the law of sin and death — that which many desire to have within them and offer to others. But without Him, it remains an illusion to attain by human effort: truth without THE TRUTH. 

It is by you, the believing child of God in Christ Jesus, ensuring and assuring to be doing life and living godly by THE HIGHER LAW — THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS, that you can activate and actualise the FREEDOM in your innermost being. 
This enables you to live over and above the severity of the RUDIMENTARY PRINCIPLES of this world — which operate within THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. 

Otherwise, the intent to hope for THE TRUTH that is beyond facts will only end as fate, and not in faith — in the faith. For you cannot emancipate any man with anything less than a man. 

That is why the acts of sacrifice — like the killing of animals such as bulls, rams, turtledoves and lambs in the Old Testament — could not remit man’s sin and sinful nature, nor bring about wholesome redemption. 

For SIN, and its corresponding effects, are summed up in these three: POVERTY, SICKNESS and SPIRITUAL DEATH. 
These have been the daily life challenges of humanity — to overcome and be free from them in every aspect, context and concept of life. 

And to overcome and have freedom within, as a synergy to doing life and living godly in the grace, God used something higher than man, and in the likeness of man, to deliver and emancipate man from the bondage of sin and death. 

Sin — which is disobedience to God’s given instructions and commands — is the reason for POVERTY, SICKNESS and SPIRITUAL DEATH. 
And God’s command, especially when it is direct and specific, is not advice to take or leave. It is divine instruction to be obeyed with a willing and obedient spirit. 

The act of Adam disobeying the express instruction of God, knowing the intent and repercussion, was treason. It was like saying, “I am going to break your word intentionally, while you go and do your worst.” 
That “worst” has resulted in: POVERTY, SICKNESS and SPIRITUAL DEATH to all mankind. 
For though he himself was not cursed per se, the place — the ground — of his livelihood and cultivation was cursed Genesis 3:17-19. Ever since then mankind has had to work through the cultivating process to make a living. 
Adam died spiritually first, and in time he died physically. And because the blood — of Jesus, the Lamb — was shed to keep him clothed Genesis 3:21, he was saved eternally. 

Spiritual death results in and precedes physical death, and where there is no remedy, eternal death follows. 

That is why when THE TRUTH is not taught, not known, and is suppressed and denied with mere facts that bear no truth, then ignorance, erroneous living, foolishness and such like will crowd the minds of people. They will make and keep making false judgements about THE TRUTH in their lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 5:13-15; Matthew 22:29; Romans 1:18-32 

Furthermore, another effect of not having the assurance of THE TRUTH in context and application is that people resort to denominational indoctrination, religious dogmas, sectarianism, traditionalism and such like — man-made by-laws of dos and don’ts. Colossians 2:8-23; Galatians 4:1-5, 8-11; Romans 8:1-11 

And though in the days of ignorance God overlooked such things Acts 17:30, He now commands all men everywhere to locate THE TRUTH, because judgement day is coming. 

And by THE HIGHER LAW — THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS, we can know the truth that emancipates and gives ASSURED FREEDOM in the grace — without sentiment, prejudice or dissimulation in every context of life doing and living. John 8:32 

“Therefore God OVERLOOKED and DISREGARDED the former ages of IGNORANCE; but now He COMMANDS all people everywhere to repent [that is, to change their old way of thinking, to regret their past sins, and to seek God’s purpose for their lives], 31 because He has set a day when He will judge the inhabited world in righteousness by a Man whom He has appointed and destined for that task, and He has provided credible proof to everyone by raising Him from the dead” Acts 17:30-31/Amplified. 

“And now I commend you to God [placing you in His protective, loving care] and [I commend you] to the word of His grace [the counsel and promises of His unmerited favor]. His grace is able to build you up and to give you the [rightful] inheritance among all those who are sanctified [that is, among those who are set apart for God’s purpose—all believers]” Acts 20:32/Amplified. 

It is time to make a resolute, intentional and pragmatic decision to lay hold of the realm of the higher law — the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus — to enable you to be above, only and always, in the grace, in Christ Jesus. Amen. 

There is the bondage of the Adamic nature, the result of which was the curse of the fall. 
And to address the curse of the fall came the Mosaic Law with conditional blessings that were accompanied by curses — for sin, sinful disobedience, and death is the final consequence of disobedience. 

This cursed nature and its effects are what the higher law — the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus — has come to deal with. 
It assures and ensures that the redemptive freedom in Christ is actualised in you, in the grace.

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” 11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” 12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.” 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith . . . 19 What purpose then does the law serve? “It was for this FREEDOM that Christ SET US FREE [completely liberating us]; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed] . . . 4 You have been severed from Christ, if you seek to be justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] through the Law; you have fallen from grace [for you have lost your grasp on God’s unmerited favor and blessing]. 5 For we [not relying on the Law but] through the [strength and power of the Holy] Spirit, by faith, are waiting [confidently] for the hope of righteousness [the completion of our salvation]. 6 For [if we are] in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only faith activated and expressed and working through love . . . 13 For you, my brothers, were called to FREEDOM; only do not let your FREEDOM become an opportunity for the sinful nature (worldliness, selfishness), but through love serve and seek the best for one another . . . 16 But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts] . . . 18 But if you are guided and led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the Law” Galatians 5:1-18/Amplified. 

“. . . For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. 5 For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.” 6 But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) 7 or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no DISTINCTION between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be SAVED” Romans 10:1-13. 

SUMMARY: 
This is a doctrinal charge calling believers back to Christ as THE TRUTH and to walk by THE HIGHER LAW — the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2). It contrasts human “truth” with THE TRUTH who is a Person and shows how freedom is only actualised in Him. 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. THE UNIVERSAL CRAVING VS THE DIVINE ANSWER

Every day, in every sphere of life — work, governance, family, business, religion — people crave TRUTH. 
Employers want integrity. Citizens want honest leaders. People want truthful relationships. 
The problem: They are craving truth without THE TRUTH. 
Because THE TRUTH is not factored into the context, it becomes elusive. 
Romans 1:18-19 — Men suppress and stifle THE TRUTH in their unrighteousness. 

THE ANSWER: THE TRUTH is Jesus (John 14:6). 
He is not an idea or a principle. He is a Person. Without Him, we fall into make-believe truth.  

  1. HOW THE TRUTH BECOMES OUR REALITY: THE HIGHER LAW

THE TRUTH operates in the realm of THE HIGHER LAW — the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2). 
This is a life-giving law. 
It is by this law that we are set free from THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. 
(John 8:31-32 )— “If you abide in My word… you shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH shall make you FREE.” 

Application: As believing children of God, we must intentionally ensure we are doing life and living godly by THE HIGHER LAW. That is how we activate and actualise FREEDOM in our innermost being. 
This enables us to live above the RUDIMENTARY PRINCIPLES of this world (Colossians 2:8, 20). 

Without Him, any attempt at truth is just human effort. It ends as fate, not faith. 

  1. WHY THE OLD SYSTEM COULD NOT FREE US
    The Adamic Nature: Brought the curse of the fall. (Genesis 3:17-19) 
    Adam’s disobedience was treason. The result: POVERTY, SICKNESS and SPIRITUAL DEATH came upon all mankind (Romans 5:12-17). 
    The Mosaic Law: Was given to expose sin. It offered conditional blessings with curses (Galatians 3:10-13). 
    But it was weak through the flesh (Romans 8:3). It could not remit sin or give life. 
    It was a tutor to bring us to Christ (Galatians 3:24). 

Animal sacrifices — bulls, rams, lambs — could not deal with sin and its effects (Hebrews 10:1-4). 
Something higher than man was needed.  

  1. THE REMEDY: CHRIST, THE WORD MADE FLESH

God sent His Son in the likeness of man (Romans 8:3). 
John 1:1, 14, 17 — “In the beginning was THE WORD… and THE WORD became flesh… full of grace and TRUTH. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and TRUTH came through Jesus Christ.” 

Through His death and resurrection: 

  • He condemned sin in the flesh Romans 8:3 
  • He redeemed us from the curse of the law Galatians 3:13 
  • He clothed Adam with blood Genesis 3:21 — a picture of eternal redemption 
  • He gives life to our mortal bodies by His Spirit Romans 8:11 

Result: “There is therefore NOW NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus…” Romans 8:1  

  1. THE CONSEQUENCE OF IGNORING THE TRUTH

When THE TRUTH is not taught or known: 

Ignorance and Error: Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 5:13-15 — People make false judgements. 

Religion and Bondage: People resort to denominational indoctrination, dogmas, sectarianism, traditionalism and man-made rules. Colossians 2:8-23; Galatians 4:1-11 

Suppression: Romans 1:18 — Ungodliness and unrighteousness stifle THE TRUTH. 

Though God overlooked times of ignorance (Acts 17:30), He now commands all men everywhere to repent and locate THE TRUTH, because judgement day is coming (Acts 17:31). 

  1. THE CALL: A RESOLUTE DECISION

It is time to make a resolute, intentional and pragmatic decision to lay hold of THE HIGHER LAW. 
To walk habitually in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16, 18). 
To be led by the Spirit (Romans 8:14). 
To stand firm in the freedom Christ has set us free with (Galatians 5:1). 

By THE HIGHER LAW we know the truth that emancipates and gives ASSURED FREEDOM in the grace — without sentiment, prejudice or dissimulation (John 8:32). 
(Acts 20:32) — “His grace is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” 

In one sentence: 
Human truth without THE TRUTH will always fail. Only by abiding in Jesus and walking by the law of the Spirit of life can we be set free, live above the curse, and inherit the grace of God.

THE NEW WINE – MAKES A NEW CREATION: A NEW CREATION MAKES A NEW YOU – NO PAST – TRULY FREE INDEED! 

“Therefore if the Son makes you FREE, you shall be FREE indeed” John 8:36. 

What is it that sets up your day, every morning? Is it the house you live in; is it the car you drive; is it the size of your bank account; is it the empire, business and enterprise you’ve established; is it the career you are in; is it the size of the Church and Ministry you go to or called to Pastor; is it the trophies or precious stones you’ve accumulated in life; and actually, WHAT SETS YOU UP EACH DAY, MY FRIEND? These and many such like, are worth pondering in all matters of doing life and living godly in grace, in Christ Jesus’ stead. 

For me, what sets me up and my day is the knowing and being assured that I am a NEW CREATION in Christ Jesus. That I am KNOWN of God, QUALIFIED by God, PREDESTINATED by God, GLORIFIED by God, CALLED by God, JUSTIFIED by God, and that I am in FELLOWSHIP with God to enhance my RELATIONSHIP with Him through my SAVIOUR and LORD, Jesus Christ. That’s truly indescribable, overwhelming and incomprehensible. 

“Therefore, if ANYONE is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; OLD THINGS have PASSED AWAY; behold, ALL THINGS have BECOME NEW” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV. 

“Giving thanks to the Father who has QUALIFIED us to be PARTAKERS of the INHERITANCE of the saints in the light. 13 He has DELIVERED us from the POWER OF DARKNESS and CONVEYED (TRANSLATED) us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have REDEMPTION through His blood, the FORGIVENESS of sins” Colossians 1:12-14 (NKJV) Emphasis Mine. 

The knowing that God LOVES me and that His presence LIVES in me, with me and for me — that makes it all the more PRICELESS. 
That, and many such like, too numerous to note within time and space, are what give me HOPE, FAITH and the needed LOVE to win my day — for me, for all about me, and for others — in doing life and living godly in grace, in Christ Jesus’s stead. 
Amen. 

Simply put: the knowing that the NEW CREATION that I have BECOME in God has NO PAST in Christ Jesus anymore. 
And my past, no matter how terrible and unpleasant it was, cannot hold back my today or my future anymore — because of what Christ Jesus has done: to wash it away into the sea of forgetfulness and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness by His precious and redeeming blood.

Charge: These and many such like are worth pondering. Do not build your day on things that fade. 
Doing life and living godly in grace requires us to check what we are trusting daily. 

  1. THE ANSWER: IDENTITY IN CHRIST SETS THE DAY

For the writer, what sets up the day is the assurance of being: 
KNOWN by God, QUALIFIED by God, PREDESTINATED by God, CALLED by God, JUSTIFIED by God, GLORIFIED by God Romans 8:28-30. 
And being in FELLOWSHIP with God to enhance RELATIONSHIP through Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord. 
This is described as indescribable, overwhelming and incomprehensible — because it is God’s doing, not man’s. 

Backed by: 

  • Qualified as partakers of the inheritance, delivered and translated into His kingdom Colossians 1:12-14 
  • Born again of incorruptible seed by the Word of God 1 Peter 1:23-25 
  • Called into fellowship of His Son 1 Corinthians 1:9 
  1. THE REALITY: NO PAST, FULL FORGIVENESS, FULL FREEDOM

The NEW CREATION in God has NO PAST in Christ Jesus anymore. 
No matter how terrible the past was, it cannot hold back today or tomorrow — because Christ has washed it away into the sea of forgetfulness and cleansed from all unrighteousness by His redeeming blood Micah 7:18-19. 
“He will CAST ALL THEIR SINS INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE SEA.” 
This produces HOPE, FAITH and LOVE to win the day — for self, for others, and for godly living in grace. 

  1. THE DAILY EXPERIENCE: GOD’S PRESENCE AND STEADFAST LOVE

The knowing that God LOVES me and that His presence LIVES in me, with me and for me — makes life PRICELESS. 
His steadfast love is NEW EVERY MORNING Lamentations 3:23. 
In His presence is FULNESS of joy and pleasures for evermore Psalm 16:11. 
Question: Do you PERCEIVE the same in your being today and now? 
Prayer: That you would know what it means to be FREE INDEED in Christ Jesus. 

  1. CLOSING CHARGE

Therefore, SEEK AND TREASURE THE GRACE THAT IS AVAILABLE TO YOU: it will make and enhance your becoming in Christ Jesus. 
DESPISE NOT your small beginning, for the New Wine is making a New You. 
TILL your land in diligence, walk with hinds’ feet on high places, and let God’s steadfast love set the tone for your morning. 
HEAD UP, SHOULDERS HIGH — you are qualified, called, and commissioned by God. 
From this day, refuse to be defined by your past, your possessions, or your performance. 
Be defined by Christ. Live assured. Live free indeed. Live as the New Creation.

AUGUST YOUR START UP – NO MATTER HOW SMALL

AUGUST YOUR START UP – NO MATTER HOW SMALL: THE LATTER WILL COME WITH GREAT INCREASE! 

“Though thy BEGINNING was SMALL, yet thy LATTER end should GREATLY INCREASE” Job 8:7. 

“The Lord God is my STRENGTH, and he will MAKE MY FEET like HINDS’ FEET, and he will make me to WALK upon mine HIGH PLACES” Habakkuk 3:19. 

It is time to maximise your New Dawn – heads up, shoulders high and high heels of faith for higher places towards your plan, purpose and pursuit in Christ Jesus’ stead. The Lord God gives strength and makes hinds’ feet to walk majestically and in honour in high places of the earth. For He lifts the poor from the dust and places them in position of greatness, even in the palaces of honour. 

 So, DESPISE not your small beginning with God, as He processes you to greatness in His grace unto BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen. 

“The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. 8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and LIFTETH UP THE BEGGAR FROM THE DUNGHILL, TO SET THEM AMONG PRINCES, AND TO MAKE THEM INHERIT THE THRONE OF GLORY: for the PILLARS OF THE EARTH are the Lord’s, and he hath set the world upon them. 9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail” 1 Samuel 2:7-9. 

For God’s daily PLANS and THOUGHTS towards you are of PEACE and WELL-BEING, to give you the needed HOPE for today and a FUTURE. Jeremiah 29:11. Therefore I say to you: DESPISE NOT YOUR BEGINNING, NO MATTER HOW SMALL – YOUR GREATNESS LIVES WITHIN IT. Be assured of God in the process and you shall live to celebrate in His grace. 

“For I know the PLANS and THOUGHTS that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘PLANS for PEACE and WELL-BEING and not for DISASTER, to give you a FUTURE and a HOPE” Jeremiah 29:11. 

Do not be ashamed to start small in anything that has a clear purpose. With a diligent attitude, your altitude will come in no time through your steadfast gratitude in Christ Jesus’ stead. Therefore, DESPISE NOT your small beginning, so long as you are not competing and impressing but complementing and expressing the fulness of God in Christ Jesus’ stead within you, as you do life and godly living. 

“For who hath DESPISED the day of SMALL things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth” Zechariah 4:10. 

For as long as there is a process, there is greatness. Anything without a process is a fraud and a scam. Therefore, do not be afraid of the process, no matter how small. There is greatness in it, because God is at work in that purpose to give you a future and a hope in His grace. And all things, by God, will work together for your good in His grace, to fulfil the purpose for which you are called of God – because of your love for Him – to make it all possible for His glory, virtue and honour. Amen. 

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that LOVE God, to them who are the CALLED according to His PURPOSE” Romans 8:28. 

“In whom also we have OBTAINED an INHERITANCE, being PREDESTINATED according to the PURPOSE of him who worketh all things after the counsel of His OWN will: 12 that we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ” Ephesians 1:11-12. 

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath PREPARED for them that LOVE him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. 

For to August is to be – graciously dignified, profoundly honoured, befitting of the Lord/Lordship, majestic and venerable. Therefore, take a new stride in this Month of AUGUST, and AUGUST your life in the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God which is in Christ Jesus. That will put you on a unique pedestal of God’s eternal plans, purposes and pursuits.  

Upon this I welcome you again to the PATH to August your life in RIGHTEOUSNESS. No matter how small your beginning seems, you are going to have a latter overflow. 

DESPISE NOT YOUR BEGINNING – YOUR GREATNESS LIVES WITHIN IT. BE ASSURED: THE PROCESS WILL LEAD TO GREATNESS. 

Therefore, till [cultivate] your land [small beginning], with the enabling grace that God has given you, and in no time you will become all that you earnestly desired to become. When there is a PROCESS, there is a future in that set task [plan, purpose and pursuit]. When there is no process, then there is delusion, for whatever has no process is a fraud and a scam – what an unhealthy state to be in, even with grace.  

Hence, tilling [cultivating], your land [starts-up], is a hallmark of diligence, and in due time it will place you in the status of the noble with dignity and grace. Amen 

“He that TILLETH [CULTIVATES] his LAND [STARTS-UP] shall be SATISFIED with bread: but he that FOLLOWETH VAIN [MEAN, SLOTHFUL, OBSCURED] persons is void of understanding” Proverbs 12:11/Emphasis Mine. 

“He that TILLETH [CULTIVATES] his LAND [STARTS-UP] shall have PLENTY of bread: but he that FOLLOWETH after VAIN [OBSCURED, MEAN] PERSONS shall have POVERTY enough. 20 A FAITHFUL man shall ABOUND WITH BLESSINGS: but he that MAKETH HASTE to be rich shall NOT be innocent. 21 To have respect of persons is not good: for a PIECE OF BREAD that man will transgress. 22 He that HASTETH TO BE RICH hath an EVIL EYE, and considereth not that POVERTY shall come upon him” Proverbs 28:19-22/Emphasis mine. 

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall STAND before KINGS [NOBLE, HONOUR]; he shall NOT STAND before MEAN [OBSCURED, UNPRODUCTIVE] men” Proverbs 22:29/Emphasis Mine.. 

It is my earnest PRAYER today, that as you take the bull by the horns to ensure your start-up is cultivated through the process, you will not only be satisfied with what you will eventually become in His grace, but you will also abound with blessing – for to be blessed is to be EMPOWERED to succeed, achieve, prosper and more, in God’s grace and BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

“So the Lord BLESSED the LATTER end of Job more than his BEGINNING: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses” Job 42:12.

“The Lord God is my STRENGTH, and he will MAKE MY FEET like HINDS’ FEET, and he will make me to WALK upon mine HIGH PLACES” Habakkuk 3:19.

This is a prophetic, empowerment charge for the month of AUGUST, calling believers to walk in RIGHTEOUSNESS, DILIGENCE, and FAITH while God processes them from small beginnings to greatness.

  1. THE DEFINITION & CALL FORAUGUST

“For to August is to be — graciously dignified, profoundly honoured, befitting of the Lord/Lordship, majestic and venerable.” 
You are called to take a new stride in AUGUST and to “AUGUST your life” — meaning to elevate your life in the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in Christ Jesus. 
This positions you on God’s unique pedestal for His plans, purposes and pursuits. 
Charge: PATH to August your life in RIGHTEOUSNESS. 

  1. THE FOUNDATION: GOD’S PLANS AND YOUR BEGINNING

God’s daily PLANS and THOUGHTS towards you are of PEACE, WELL-BEING, HOPE, and a FUTURE — Jeremiah 29:11. 
Therefore: DESPISE NOT YOUR BEGINNING, NO MATTER HOW SMALL — YOUR GREATNESS LIVES WITHIN IT. Job 8:7, Zechariah 4:10 
Examples: God lifts the poor from the dust and dunghill to set them among princes 1 Samuel 2:7-9. He blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning Job 42:12. 

  1. THE PRINCIPLE: PROCESS = GREATNESS

“For as long as there is a PROCESS, there is greatness. Anything without a process is a fraud and a scam.” 
Do not fear the process, no matter how small. God is at work to give you a future and hope Jer 29:11. 
All things work together for good to those called according to His purpose Romans 8:28. 
You have an INHERITANCE and were PREDESTINATED according to His purpose Eph 1:11-12. 
God has prepared things for them that love Him 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. 

  1. THE PRACTICE: DILIGENCE IN YOUR “LAND/START-UP”

TILL/CULTIVATE your land [small beginning/start-up] with the enabling grace God has given you. 
Diligence is the hallmark that will, in due time, place you among the noble with dignity and honour Proverbs 22:29. 
“He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread… shall have plenty” Proverbs 12:11, 28:19. 
“A faithful man shall ABOUND WITH BLESSINGS” Proverbs 28:20. 
Warning: Haste to be rich and following vain persons leads to poverty Proverbs 28:20-22. 
To be BLESSED is to be EMPOWERED to succeed, achieve, prosper and more in God’s grace. 

  1. THE PROMISE: ELEVATION TO HIGH PLACES

“The Lord God is my STRENGTH, and he will MAKE MY FEET like HINDS’ FEET, and he will make me to WALK upon mine HIGH PLACES” Habakkuk 3:19. 
Take on “high heels of faith for higher places” — heads up, shoulders high. 
God gives strength and lifts you into positions of greatness, even in palaces of honour. 
“The Lord shall INCREASE you more and more, YOU and YOUR CHILDREN” Psalm 115:14. 

  1. FINAL CHARGE & PRAYER

Do not compete or impress but complement and express the fullness of God in Christ Jesus within you as you live godly. 
BE ASSURED: THE PROCESS WILL LEAD TO GREATNESS. 
Prayer: That as you take the bull by the horns and cultivate your start-up through the process, you will be satisfied and abound with blessing in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

THE NEW WINE – ONLY ON A NEW YOU: TO MAKE A NEW CREATION YOU – TO LIVE IN THE POSSIBILITY REALM IN THE GRACE! 

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is A NEW CREATION; old things have passed away; behold, all things have BECOME NEW” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV. 

“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus NEITHER CIRCUMCISION NOR UNCIRCUMCISION AVAILS ANYTHING, but A NEW CREATION” Galatians 6:14-15 NKJV. 

Have you ever wondered why our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ made this statement in the Gospel of Mark 2:22 while He was on earth in human form? 
Just to update your knowledge — in case you do not know, as some have reasoned: 

It must be noted that in our Saviour and Lord Christ Jesus’s day, people used animal skins — such as goatskin — for storing liquids. 
Fermented drinks such as wine expand. 

And since an OLD WINESKIN (Old bottles) would already have been stretched to its limit, the NEW WINE would tear the seams of a skin that had already been used. 

This means that an OLD WINESKIN will not stretch, yield, or respond to the gas pressure produced by fermenting wine. 
And because the OLD WINESKIN will not stretch, it will simply burst — which means that both the OLD WINESKIN and the WINE will be ruined and lost. 

That is the very reason why NEW WINE must be put into NEW WINESKINS. 
And when NEW WINE is put into NEW WINESKINS, both are preserved, and nothing is ruined or lost over time through use. 

“And no man putteth NEW WINE into OLD BOTTLES: else the NEW WINE doth burst the BOTTLES, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but NEW WINE must be put into NEW BOTTLES” Mark 2:22. 

Also, the phrase ‘OLD WINE in a NEW BOTTLE’ is an idiomatic expression used in context. 
It indicates and reflects that an OLD concept or institution is being offered and presented to be accepted as though it were still good, even when it is no longer relevant or applicable in the NEW context. 

And thus, people who go about accepting and following such concepts are held in bondage and dogma due to ignorance — the lack of knowledge and understanding of the truth. 

And the TRUTH is the expression of the WORD of God in Christ Jesus. 
For Christ Jesus Himself is both THE WORD and THE TRUTH.  

“As he spake these words, many BELIEVED on him. 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which BELIEVED on him, If ye CONTINUE IN MY WORD, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 and ye shall KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE” John 8:39-32 

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” John 14:6. 

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, THE WORD, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one” 1 John 5:7. 

And there are two things that are very clear to me in this concept and context above, which I will expound in detail in future posts. They are these: 

  • The Continuous Use of the Old Testament Context 
    That which has already been done away with is being used to legislate and justify practices, to make it appear as though it is still tangible and relevant for now — when it ought not to be accommodated or accepted at all. 
    Knowing in REDEMPTION that Christ Jesus has already fulfilled such context for the saints — the Believers of God — in His stead. 
    [John 1:45; Luke 24:25-27, 44-46; Hebrews 1:1-4; Hebrews 12:2; Romans 10:1-4; Matthew 22:38-46; Matthew 16:13-20] 
  • The New Wine — who is the Blessed Holy Spirit 
    He is ONLY and PURELY meant and made available to the Believers [the New Creation] in Christ Jesus and not given to the world — the unbelieving ones toward God and Christ Jesus. 
    Acts 20:20-21; John 14:16-17 

This therefore means that SALVATION is the only opportunity made available to all in the world, and not the Holy Spirit. 
Receiving the Holy Spirit is only made possible after one has received the Gospel of Salvation in Christ Jesus. 
Anything else is perversion, counterfeit, adulteration, delusion and falsehood. 
[John 14:15-17; John 7:37-39; Luke 11:9-11; Acts 1:5, 8; Acts 2:1-13; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:1-7] 

The New Wine speaks of the Holy Spirit. 
And besides being God in the Godhead and Trinity, and given to lead the Believers in Christ Jesus in all things throughout humanity, He is also given to gladden the hearts of the Believers in Christ Jesus’s stead. 

Hence, part of His character is that of the Believers’ Comforter — if you recall that in the Scriptures, Christ Jesus did promise and assure the Believers in Him that He would send them the promised Comforter. 
He called Him the Promise of the Father; and that Promise has already been fulfilled and is available for all to access after salvation, without prejudice or dissimulation, and indeed irrespective of person. 
[John 14:15-17; Romans 5:5; Psalms 104:15; Joel 2:19, 28-29] 

The earliest Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ were instructed to assemble by our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, as recorded in Acts 1:5, 8. 
This was in order for them to receive the Promise of the Father God in Joel 2:19, 28-29 — and not limited to them — as emphasised by our Saviour and Lord Christ Jesus in John 7:37-39 and Luke 24:49. 
This pertains to receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. 

And as they obeyed that instruction, just as they were told, it came to pass as written in Acts 2:1-13, that they received the Promise of God — which is for all, even until this day, and until the Lord returns — for all who will believe on the saving grace in Christ Jesus’s stead. 

Those who observed and witnessed the Apostles in this unique and blessed manifestation, which is attributed to a PENTECOST experience, described the Apostles in their acts and experiences as people drunk with NEW WINE. 
And indeed, they were drunk — with NEW WINE: the HOLY SPIRIT of promise. 

It is upon such uniqueness that the Apostle Paul drew a comparison to the drunken effect that people experience from ordinary wine, while he admonishes the Ephesian Church to rather be filled with the Holy Spirit, in order to have the contrary result to mere drunkenness, as explained in the context as it is written:  

“. . . 12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? 13 Others mocking said, These men are FULL of NEW WINE” Acts 2:1-13. 

“And be not DRUNK WITH WINE, wherein is excess; but be FILLED with the Spirit; 19 speaking to yourselves in PSALMS and HYMNS and SPIRITUAL SONGS, SINGING and making MELODY in your heart to the Lord; 20 GIVING THANKS always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21 SUBMITTING yourselves one to another in the fear of God” Ephesians 5:18-21. 

To be filled with the NEW WINE — the Holy Spirit — requires a NEW YOU: a NEW CREATION body for Him to dwell in. 
Otherwise, it is like putting the NEW WINE into an OLD BOTTLE — the OLD YOU, which is the unregenerate life, the unconverted life, and the unrepentant life. 

The Holy Spirit of TRUTH is set aside only for the believers in God, in Christ Jesus’s stead, and not for those in the world who have not believed in the saving grace of God in Christ Jesus. 
Amen. 

“If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may ABIDE with you for ever; 17 even the Spirit of truth; WHOM THE WORLD CANNOT RECEIVE, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth WITH you, and shall be IN you” John 14:15-17. 

“And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have TAUGHT you publickly, and from house to house, 21 TESTIFYING both to THE JEWS, and also to THE GREEKS, REPENTANCE TOWARD God, and FAITH TOWARD our Lord Jesus Christ” Acts 20:20-21. 

I welcome you now to make yourself available to God in Christ Jesus, to become a New Creation in order to access the New Wine that will make all the difference — in God, in Christ Jesus’s stead. Amen.  

THE NEW WINE – ONLY ON A NEW YOU – TO MAKE A NEW CREATION YOU – TO LIVE IN POSSIBILITY

FURTHER SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is GIVEN unto us” Romans 5:5. 

“And WINE that maketh GLAD the heart of man, and OIL to make his face to SHINE, and BREAD which STRENGTHENETH man’s heart” Psalms 104:15. 

“Yea, the Lord will ANSWER and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you CORN, and WINE, and OIL, and ye shall be SATISFIED therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen . . . 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will POUR out my spirit upon ALL flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit” Joel 2:19, 28-29. 

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, IF ANY MAN THIRST, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that BELIEVETH on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which THEY THAT BELIEVE ON HIM SHOULD RECEIVE: for the Holy Ghost was NOT YET GIVEN; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” John 7:37-39.

“Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom moses in the law, and THE PROPHETS, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph” John 1:45. 

“Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that THE PROPHETS have spoken: 26 ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at MOSES and all THE PROPHETS, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself . . . 44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in THE LAW OF MOSES, and in THE PROPHETS, and in THE PSALMS, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their UNDERSTANDING, that they might UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURES, 46 and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day” Luke 24:25-27, 44-46. 

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in TIME PAST unto the fathers by the PROPHETS, 2 hath in these LAST DAYS spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they” Hebrews 1:1-4. 

“Looking unto Jesus the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our FAITH; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” Hebrews 12:2. 

“Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being IGNORANT of God’s righteousness, and going about to ESTABLISH THEIR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the END OF THE LAW FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS to every one that believeth” Romans 10:1-4. 

“In the beginning was THE WORD, and THE WORD was with God, and THE WORD was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not . . . 14 And THE WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and TRUTH” John 1:1-5, 14. 

SUMMARY: 
This message is a doctrinal teaching centred on Mark 2:22 — “New Wine in New Wineskins”, and its application to the believer’s life in Christ Jesus. 

  1. THE FOUNDATION: NEW CREATION IN CHRIST

The entire teaching rests on 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Galatians 6:14-15: 
When a person is in Christ, he becomes a NEW CREATION. Old things pass away. The Cross crucifies us to the world and the world to us. In Christ, religious rituals like circumcision do not matter — only A NEW CREATION does. 
Therefore, God’s plan is not to patch the old life, but to make all things new. 

  1. THE PARABLE EXPLAINED: NEW WINE AND NEW WINESKINS — MARK 2:22

In Christ Jesus’s day, wine was stored in animal skins. 

  • OLD WINESKIN [OLD BOTTLE]: Already stretched and rigid. It cannot expand. 
  • NEW WINE: Ferments and produces gas. It requires something flexible that can stretch. 

If you put NEW WINE into an OLD WINESKIN, the pressure will cause it to burst. Both the wine and the skin will be ruined. 
Application: NEW WINE must go into NEW WINESKINS so that both are preserved.  

  1. THE WARNING: “OLD WINE IN A NEW BOTTLE”

This is used idiomatically to describe when an OLD concept or institution from the Old Testament is repackaged and presented as if it is still relevant for today. 
People who accept this are kept in bondage and dogma through ignorance — a lack of knowledge of THE TRUTH, which is the WORD of God expressed in Christ Jesus. 
Christ Himself is THE WORD and THE TRUTH [John 14:6, 1 John 5:7].  

  1. TWO KEY CLARIFICATIONS MADE IN THE MESSAGE
    The Continuous Use of the Old Testament Context
    That which Christ has already fulfilled is being used to legislate Christian practice today. This ought not to be.
    In REDEMPTION, Christ has fulfilled the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms for the Believers of God [Luke 24:44-46, Hebrews 1:1-4, Romans 10:4]. 
    We are no longer under the Old Covenant system.
    The New Wine — Who is the Blessed Holy Spirit
    The NEW WINErepresents the Holy Spirit. 
    He is ONLY and PURELY given to the Believers [the New Creation] in Christ Jesus, not to the world [John 14:16-17]. 
    This means: 
  • SALVATION is offered to all in the world. 
  • The Holy Spirit is received after one believes the Gospel of Salvation. 
    Anything else is perversion, counterfeit, adulteration and falsehood. 
  1. THE CHARACTER AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT — THE NEW WINE

The Holy Spirit is God in the Godhead and Trinity. His work includes: 

Leading Believers in all things throughout humanity 
Gladdening the hearts of Believers [Psalm 104:15] 
Being the Believers’ Comforter — the Promise of the Father already fulfilled [John 14:15-17] 

The Apostles were instructed to wait in Jerusalem [Acts 1:5,8] to receive this Promise prophesied in Joel 2:28-29. When they obeyed, on the day of PENTECOST [Acts 2:1-13], they were filled and people said, “These men are FULL of NEW WINE.” 
This is why Apostle Paul admonishes the Ephesian Church: “Be not DRUNK WITH WINE… but be FILLED with the Spirit” [Ephesians 5:18-21] — resulting in psalms, hymns, thanksgiving and submission. 

  1. THE REQUIREMENT: A NEW YOU FOR THE NEW WINE

To be filled with the NEW WINE, the Holy Spirit, you must be a NEW YOU — a NEW CREATION body for Him to dwell in. 
To put the New Wine into an OLD YOU — the unregenerate, unconverted, unrepentant life — is to invite ruin, just like old bottles. 
The Holy Spirit of TRUTH is set aside only for those who have believed in the saving grace of God in Christ Jesus. The world cannot receive Him [John 14:17]. 

  1. THE INVITATION AND CHARGE

The message closes with an altar call: 
“I welcome you now to make yourself available to God in Christ Jesus, to become a New Creation in order to access the New Wine that will make all the difference — in God, in Christ Jesus’s stead. Amen.” 

It ends with supporting scriptures on the Holy Spirit being GIVEN [Romans 5:5], God POURING OUT His Spirit [Joel 2:28-29], and Christ as the fulfilment of THE LAW, THE PROPHETS, AND THE PSALMS. 

CORE CONCLUSION 
You cannot carry the NEW WINE of the Holy Spirit in the OLD YOU. 
Redemption demands a NEW CREATION. Salvation comes first, then the infilling of the Holy Spirit. 
To live in the possibility realm in the grace is to live as a New Creation, filled with the New Wine, walking in the Truth of the Word.

THE CHURCH OF THOSE WHO TURN THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN 

The Main Focus of a Christian and the Church After Repentance 

The month of August in our church – Embassy of God – is dedicated to civic responsibility. 

After repentance, every Christian must ask himself an important question: 
What should be my main focus? 
What should be the main direction of life, not only for an individual believer but also for the Church as a whole? 

Acts 5:28 

“Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man’s blood on us!” 

The focus of the Church should not be on the Church itself, but on society and the country. 
Our focus is Ukraine because this is where God has placed us. 
The Church is a platform, a pulpit, while the main audience is all of Ukraine. 

The first Church described in the book of Acts was extraordinarily active — so active that it was impossible not to notice it. 
The believers became part of society. They were everywhere, completely intertwined with the life of the people. 
The Church was integrated into society and influenced it. 

Today, the authorities often no longer need to pass special laws to restrict the Church because the churches themselves have confined themselves within their walls. 
Many believers simply sit in churches, while God’s plan is entirely different. 

The ideal Church is a Church without walls. 
It must be in society and influence society. 

At the beginning of its ministry, the Embassy of God Church distributed millions of newspapers throughout Kyiv and across all of Ukraine. 
They were in practically every home. We were on television, in the metro, on the streets — everywhere people were. 
This is how it should be today as well. 

The Church must be present in every sphere of society, serve people, and bring them the Word of God. 
We need to sow God’s seeds in people’s hearts.  

The Lord said: 

Mark 16:15 

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” 

The purpose of the Church’s existence is to be the salt of this world. 
Salt is useful only when it is added to food, not when it remains in its packaging or in the salt cellar. 
It must mix with what it wants to change. This is precisely how its glory is revealed. 

In the same way, the glory of the Church is revealed when it penetrates every sphere of society and brings God’s values there. 

Unfortunately, many Christians today love comfort too much. 
They spend all their time in church, arguing about who is right, who is wrong, and who preaches or sings better. 

But true believers think about something else: 
Where can I serve society, and how exactly can I do it? 
Then they go and do it.  

Habakkuk 2:14 

“For the earth will be filled 

With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, 

As the waters cover the sea.” 

Glory to God, today we have the internet. 
Let us use it for the glory of God: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, and other platforms. 
We need to use every possible means so that people will not be able to avoid the Gospel.  

Acts 17:6 

“But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, ‘These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.’” 

We must have our own view on everything that is happening in the country. 
We must be like our spiritual forefathers. 
We must become those very people “who have turned the world upside down” — those who are capable of changing society. 

This is why the first Christians were called “those who have turned the world upside down.” 
They cared about everything that was happening around them. They were not indifferent. 
They preached Christ and changed society through their influence. 

Today, every Christian must determine which part of society he must bring God’s influence into, and bring Christ there  

Acts 17:17 

“Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there.” 

The country and society must be our main focus, so that we may spread the fragrance of Christ there and bring Christian values — true values — into them. 

The war in Ukraine is also a consequence of the wrong values of nations and their governments. 

Acts 19:25–27 

“He called them together, along with the workers of similar trades, and said: ‘Men, you know that we get our prosperity from this trade. Moreover, you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods which are made with hands. So not only is this trade of ours in danger of falling into disrepute, but also the temple of the great goddess Diana may be despised and her magnificence destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worship.’” 

Embassy of God Church, you are God’s seed in Ukraine. 
Dig out God’s wells for the country. Every generation must dig out its own well. 

Christians are those who turn the world upside down — changing its sinful foundations into true ones. 
They bring God’s righteousness in place of lawlessness. 
The values of the Kingdom of God must reign everywhere, throughout the whole earth. Amen!

This message is a prophetic charge for August, which is dedicated to civic responsibility at Embassy of God Church. 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. THE MAIN QUESTION AFTER REPENTANCE

After repentance, every Christian and the Church must answer: “What is our main focus?” 
The answer given is clear: not the Church itself, but society and the country. 
For Embassy of God, the main focus is Ukraine, because that is where God has placed them. The Church is the platform, and the nation is the audience. 

  1. THE BIBLICAL MODEL: THE ACTS CHURCH

The first Church was impossible to ignore. They were “those who turned the world upside down” Acts 17:6. 
Key traits: 

  • They were fully integrated into society, not separated from it. 
  • They influenced every sphere — synagogues, marketplaces, homes Acts 17:17. 
  • Their preaching filled the city Acts 5:28 and changed culture. 

The message warns: today many churches have confined themselves. The authorities do not need to restrict the Church because the Church has restricted itself within four walls. The ideal Church is “a Church without walls.” 

 

  1. THE EXAMPLE OF EMBASSY OF GOD

The Church is called to be present everywhere. 
Past example given: distributing millions of newspapers across Ukraine, being on TV, in the metro, and on the streets — wherever people were. 
Current call: use every platform available today, especially the internet — Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram — so that people cannot avoid the Gospel. 

  1. THE PURPOSE: SALT, INFLUENCE, AND KINGDOM VALUES

Mark 16:15 — “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” 
The Church is salt — only useful when it mixes with society and changes it. Its glory is revealed when it penetrates every sphere and brings God’s values there. 

Christians must stop arguing about internal church matters and instead ask: “Where can I serve society, and how?” 
Their mission is to replace sinful foundations with true ones, and lawlessness with God’s righteousness. 
Habakkuk 2:14 is quoted: “The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.” 

  1. SOCIETY, VALUES, AND UKRAINE

The country and society must be the main focus so that the fragrance of Christ and Christian values — true values — can be brought into them. 
The message directly links the war in Ukraine to wrong values in nations and their governments. 

Using Acts 19:25-27, it shows how the Gospel threatened trade and idolatry in Ephesus. In the same way, the Church today must challenge corrupt systems. 

  1. THE CHARGE TO EMBASSY OF GOD

“Embassy of God Church, you are God’s seed in Ukraine. Dig out God’s wells for the country. Every generation must dig out its own well.” 
Christians are called to be world-changers who bring Kingdom values to reign everywhere, throughout the whole earth. Amen! 

Core Message in One Sentence: 
The Church must leave the building, engage society with the Gospel, and take responsibility for shaping the nation’s values — because this is how we “turn the world upside down” like the first Christians.

AUGUST YOUR PATH WITH DILIGENCE: YOU WILL THEN STAND IN THE PLACE OF HONOUR, DIGNITY, NOBILITY AND OPPORTUNITY! 

“Seest thou a man DILIGENT in his business? he shall STAND before KINGS (HONOUR, DIGNITY, NOBILITY, OPPORTUNITY); he shall not STAND before MEAN (OBSCURED, UNPRODUCTIVE) men” Proverbs 22:29. 

YOU ARE A PRODUCT OF YOUR LIFE PATH. 
It is not the end that justifies the means, as is popularly said. But in essence, in life and according to the kingdom of God principles, it is THE PATH that defines your eventual outcome. 

Your tomorrow is a product of your today. 
Your PATH OF DILIGENCE in your TODAY will surely bring forth the KING in you for TODAY and TOMORROW. 

So, THINK and AUGUST your life rightly in grace and godliness. 
God rewards DILIGENCE. 
Let diligence be your footsteps and your footprints to greatness. 
Keep at bay the MEAN, OBSCURED and UNPRODUCTIVE life game.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“But without FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to PLEASE him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a REWARDER of them that DILIGENTLY seek him” Hebrews 11:6. 

“And we desire that every one of you do shew the same DILIGENCE to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 12 that ye be not slothful, but FOLLOWERS of them who through FAITH and PATIENCE INHERIT the PROMISES” Hebrews 6:11-12.

    The foundation Scripture is Proverbs 22:29:
    “Seest thou a man DILIGENT in his business? he shall STAND before KINGS; he shall not STAND before MEAN men.” 
    Diligence removes you from the place of obscurity and puts you before kings. 
    KINGS here represents HONOUR, DIGNITY, NOBILITY and OPPORTUNITY.

  1. You Are a Product of Your Life Path
    The message rejects the popular saying “the end justifies the means”.
    In life and in kingdom principles, it is THE PATH that defines your eventual outcome. 
    Your tomorrow is a product of your today. 
    Your PATH OF DILIGENCE in your TODAY will bring forth the KING in you for TODAY and TOMORROW. 
    The path of the just is progressive: “as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” Proverbs 4:18. 
  2. The Call: Think and August Your Life Rightly 
    You are urged to THINK and AUGUST your life in grace and godliness. 
    To AUGUST means to live with dignity, reverence and excellence. 
    God rewards  Therefore, let diligence be your footsteps and your footprints to greatness. 
    Reject the MEAN, OBSCURED and UNPRODUCTIVE life game. 
    Be a follower of those who through FAITH and PATIENCE INHERIT the PROMISES. Hebrews 6:11-12.

  • Hebrews 11:6: Without faith it is impossible to please God. He rewards diligent seekers. 
  • Hebrews 6:11-12: Show diligence to the full assurance of hope. Do not be slothful.

The choice of path is yours today. If you walk in diligence, faith and obedience, you will not stand before obscure men. You will stand before kings. 
AUGUST YOUR PATH WITH DILIGENCE and God will evolve greatness, honour and opportunity in your life.  

AFFIRMATIONS 

  1. I am a diligent man/woman.Therefore, I shall stand before kings and not before obscure men. Honour, dignity, nobility and divine opportunity are my portion. 
     Proverbs 22:29 
  2. My God is my Rewarder. As I diligently seek Him in faith, He will not overlook my labour. Every seed of diligence I sow will produce a harvest of greatness. Hebrews 11:6 
  3. I am a product of my life path. I choose the path of diligence today, and it is producing the king in me for today and tomorrow. My tomorrow will be greater because my today is ordered by God. Proverbs 4:18 
  4. I refuse the mean, obscured and unproductive life. I break free from slothfulness. I will not be limited, hidden, or wasted. I walk in excellence and productivity in Christ. Hebrews 6:11-12 
  5. The Lord is showing me the path of life. In His presence I have fullness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. I cannot miss my divine direction. Psalms 16:11 
  6. I August my life with diligence, grace and godliness. I walk in dignity and reverence. My footprints are leading me to greatness because God is with me. Hebrews 6:11 
  7. By faith and patience, I am inheriting the promises of God. Diligence is my lifestyle, and the promise is my destination. Nothing can stop what God has ordained for me. Hebrews 6:12 
  8. I am diligent. I am honoured. I am elevated. I stand before kings. The path I walk today is Augusting me into the destiny God has prepared. I will not be obscured. I will shine more and more!  Proverbs 4:18

AUGUST YOUR LIFE BY GOD’S ENABLING POWER: CHRIST JESUS IS THE POWER OF GOD AND THE WISDOM OF GOD! 

“And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore ERR, because ye KNOW NOT THE SCRIPTURES, neither THE POWER OF GOD?” Mark 12:24. 

“. . . 24 but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, CHRIST THE POWER OF GOD, and THE WISDOM OF GOD . . .” 1 Corinthians 1:18-31. 

WHEN PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW THE GENUINE POWER OF GOD THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS’ STEAD, THEY GIVE IN TO SORCERIES AND BEWITCHING. 

And over the years many have found themselves in such bondages, just as the Scriptures say in Hosea 4:6 and Isaiah 5:13-15: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge… therefore my people go into captivity for lack of knowledge.” 

And I know exactly what it all means. 

It was for this lack of knowledge that a whole city in Samaria in Bible days was held in captivity and BEWITCHED WITH SORCERIES, because a man called Simon, and not Christ Jesus, was regarded as “the great POWER of God” Acts 8:9-10. 
And the multitude became victims and prey to these outrageous acts of SORCERIES AND BEWITCHING by a man who held them as PREY and IN CAPTIVITY for a very, very long time. 

Take a look today and picture how many have taken a similar position in the lives of supposed believers, by the accord they give to fallible men, as though they possess the great POWER OF GOD more than Christ Jesus, in the fullness of the activities being carried out concerning them. 

And unfortunately, like Simon, these fallible men allow this applause for what they are not to happen, and to keep happening, because they know that the people are BEWITCHED by their acts of SORCERIES, knowingly and unknowingly. 

It was for this act and pattern of attributing the POWER OF GOD that is of Christ Jesus to men, that caused God to let King Herod be eaten up by worms when he allowed himself to be consumed by the applause of men Acts 12:20-24. 

That same decisive act of God also happened to Simon in Acts 8:18-24, with a sharp and heavy-handed rebuke, for attempting to buy the Holy Spirit with money in order to maintain his status. 
That rebuke was needful then, and it is even more needful today, so that the genuine POWER and WORD of God which is of Christ Jesus may multiply in the hearts of men, rather than the falsehood of these fallible men who are BEWITCHING the creation of God with SORCERIES, just as Simon of Samaria did. 

THEREFORE, THINK AND PONDER TODAY: 

If you are one of those attributing the POWER OF GOD which is of Christ Jesus to a man, thereby leading people into error. 

If you are one of the men like Simon and King Herod, receiving the accord of the POWER OF GOD which is of Christ Jesus as though it were yours, in order to maintain and sustain the status of your pride and arrogance, by bewitching the people with acts, practices and schemes that are unknown to your followers.  

SELAH – PAUSE AND THINK. 

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT: 

“. . . 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, CHRIST THE POWER OF GOD, and THE WISDOM OF GOD . . . 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is MADE UNTO US WISDOM, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord” 1 Corinthians 1:18-31. 

“For I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL of Christ: for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God REVEALED from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall LIVE by faith” Romans 1:16-17  

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do ERR, NOT KNOWING THE SCRIPTURES, nor THE POWER OF GOD” Matthew 22:29. 

“And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore ERR, because ye KNOW NOT THE SCRIPTURES, neither THE POWER OF GOD?” Mark 12:24. 

“. . . 9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used SORCERY, and BEWITCHED the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: 10 to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the GREAT POWER of God. 11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had BEWITCHED them with SORCERIES. 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13 Then Simon himself BELIEVED also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done . . .” Acts 8:1-24. 

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no POWER but of God: the POWERS that be are ORDAINED of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 for he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake . . .” Romans 13:1-10. 

“And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king’s chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king’s country. 21 And upon a set day Herod, ARRAYED in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an ORATION unto them. 22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the VOICE of a god, and not of a man. 23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he GAVE NOT God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. 24 But THE WORD of God GREW and MULTIPLIED” Acts 12:20-24. 

“MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE: because thou hast REJECTED KNOWLEDGE, I will also REJECT thee, that thou shalt be NO PRIEST to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” Hosea 4:6. 

“Therefore MY PEOPLE ARE GONE INTO CAPTIVITY, because they have NO KNOWLEDGE: and their HONOURABLE men are FAMISHED, and their multitude dried up with thirst. 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure:and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. 15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled” Isaiah 5:13-15.  
 
SUMMARY: 
The central charge of this message is that believers must AUGUST THEIR LIVES BY GOD’S ENABLING POWER. The foundation is this truth: CHRIST JESUS IS THE POWER OF GOD AND THE WISDOM OF GOD – 1 Corinthians 1:24. Any deviation from this leads to error, bondage and spiritual captivity Mark 12:24; Matthew 22:29. 

KEY POINTS: 

  1. The Danger of Ignorance: Lack of Knowledge Leads to Bondage
    When people do not know the genuine POWER OF GOD THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS’ STEAD, they give in to SORCERIES AND BEWITCHING.
    Scripture warns: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge… therefore my people go into captivity for lack of knowledge” Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 5:13-15. 
    This ignorance makes people vulnerable. They become prey and captives because they cannot discern the true source of power. 
  1. Biblical Case Study: Simon of Samaria
    The city of Samaria is used as the prime example. A man called Simon, and not Christ Jesus, was regarded as “the great POWER of God”Acts 8:9-10. 
    For a very long time he BEWITCHED THE PEOPLE WITH SORCERIES and held them as prey in captivity. 
    The multitude gave him heed because they lacked knowledge of the true POWER OF GOD. 
    When the true Gospel was preached, the people believed and turned to Christ Acts 8:12. Simon himself was sharply rebuked for trying to buy the Holy Spirit with money Acts 8:18-24. This rebuke was to ensure that the genuine POWER and WORD of God would multiply, not the falsehood of men. 
  1. Modern Application: Attributing God’s Power to Men
    The message draws a direct parallel to today. Manysupposed believers give ACCORD to fallible men, as though they possess the great POWER OF GOD more than Christ Jesus. 
    Like Simon, some men allow this applause for what they are not, knowingly and unknowingly BEWITCHING the people with acts, practices and schemes. 
    This pattern of attributing the POWER OF GOD to men provoked God’s judgment on King Herod, who was eaten up by worms after accepting the shout, “It is the VOICE of a god” Acts 12:20-24. Immediately after, “THE WORD of God GREW and MULTIPLIED”. 
  1. The Only True Power and Wisdom: Christ Jesus
    The Scripture is emphatic:
  • We preach CHRIST CRUCIFIED, who to the called is THE POWER OF GOD, AND THE WISDOM OF GOD. 1 Corinthians 1:23-24 
  • Of Him are we in Christ Jesus, who is MADE UNTO US WISDOM, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30 
  • The GOSPEL of Christ is the POWER of God unto salvation. Romans 1:16 
  • There is no POWER but of God: the POWERS that be are ORDAINED of God. Romans 13:1 

Therefore glory must only go to the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:31. 

  1. The Call
    The message ends with a two-fold examination:
    To the followers: Are you attributing the POWER OF GOD which is of Christ Jesus to a man, thereby leading others into error? 
    To the leaders: Are you like Simon and King Herod, receiving the accord of the POWER OF GOD as though it were yours, to sustain pride and arrogance? 

Closing Charge 
To AUGUST YOUR LIFE is to live by GOD’S ENABLING POWER in Christ Jesus. Reject sorceries, reject bewitching, reject the exaltation of men. Return to the Scriptures and to THE POWER OF GOD. Let the WORD of God GROW and MULTIPLY in your heart and in the church.
